Comment: Such a rude experience with one of the male team members!I was shopping alone and pushing my cart along when I was approached by a male employee who I felt observing my cart as he walked by. He stopped me, told me to back away from my cart, I did so thinking my cart had some issue and instead he reaches in the cart to flip my “no mess, squeeze” Dawn dish soap bottle upside down. (Wrong side down actually) With an annoying tone he said he was flipping it over so it didn’t leak. But it was sitting in my cart exactly how I pulled it off the shelf?! Not polite about it all! Not appropriate to be observing what’s in my cart at all. And 100% would have never happened to a man!

Comment: Home Depot was a hell of a lot better of a company 10 or more years ago when they had people that worked in departments. Instead of like now how there are people at the cash registers and customer service and you have to hunt to find a person that works in a certain department. I had a ridiculously bad experience lately. I bought some lily bulbs from them about two and a half months ago. Not one of them sprouted much less grew any flowers. I wanted to get my money back and was told I would have to return the bulbs in the original packaging with the receipt. I had the receipt and the packaging but literally had to tell three different people that if the bulbs didnt sprout they have probably already biodegraded & no longer existed. I talked to one very argumentative customer service on the phone. It did not go well. I tried again a few days later & I was then told I should not have a problem but would probably have to get a store credit and not have my money refunded. I went in the next day after talking to someone on their National customer service line and it took about 15 minutes and a manager had to help after all is said and done I had probably spent about 2 hours and dealt with seven, 7!!! different people not get my money returned but a store credit ($12.37) which I used towards getting a new box fan. Ridiculous nightmare. Ive had retail sales jobs before theres no reason it should have been this much of a pain and taken up so much of my time.

Comment: I took my Mom there to look for iron fencing to install on top of her cinder block wall. The Scooter for the handicapped/elderly was not charged, so my Mom had to carefully shuffle along side of my cart. We were told it was in the gardening department, so we walked all the way over there. We asked another employee there and he directed us to an aisle. Of course, they weren’t there. He then sent us back inside the store to an aisle deep inside. Too far to shlep my Mom. I left her with the cart and speed walked to the aisle. They weren’t there either. I went back to gardening and explained the situation with the man in gardening. He tried looking it up, but wasn’t successful. He told us to stay there while he looked for a colleague who would know. After a while, he returned only to tell us that they don’t carry those in the store. They are only available online. They wasted our time and exhausted my Mom for the day. If the three employees I spoke to were more knowledgeable about their inventory etc. we would have known right away and would have been able to go to Lowe’s that day. Instead, I had to wait another week until we had the time to shop. Luckily the Lowe’s employee I spoke to knew exactly what I was looking for and walked us right over to them.

Comment: Update 5/9/24I drive a bit further to visit this Home Depot to get Tim’s help with Plumbing. He is a wealth of knowledge and has helped me when I thought we were going to have go to without water for the night due to a repair.I need to but the vent to attach a no-hub coupling to convert the drain to ABS. This is a large job that involves a lot of creative problem solving. The house being built in the late 40’s. They did not have garbage disposers or dish washers back then.I have been able to do bathrooms and re pipe sections of our home to ½” Copper with Tim’s help.The picture was taken with Tim and Luigi before closing when I was racing in to get last minute parts to start to cut pipe the next day.I am very happy to have people like Luigi and Tim who are more than willing to help with information about home repair.Update: 3-11-23I wish to share how Tim in the Plumbing department saved me hours and hours of work. I am re-doing the galvanized corroded pipe to copper. I had an issue with this soft ½ copper that is older than me. I was stuck. I was going to cut it and sweat a connection on. I stopped to ask advice. I am glad I did. Tim was there to help me with the connections and told me a much better way to do them. I had other connection problems that he found solutions to that will help me tremendously. I met Solomon the Manger. Right away he thanked me for coming to his store. I said “Tim is the reason why I am here.” I really needed the advice.I am a very happy customer of Home Depot.First time that I rented a truck to transport pavers. Home Depot trucks are excellent. I was sure surprised on the quality of those trucks. I will be renting them again. Excellent guys at the rental desk at the Burbank location on Flower Street.

Only one person really helped me out. A new guy named Mohammed who had been there for one week. He actually took the time to walk me across the store to find an item I needed. Had this issue now several times that the item I want is listed as having 50+ in stock available for pickup at the Burbank store online. I show up and theres zero. I ask for help, they promise to send someone, then no one comes, then I ask again, they promise that someone will come, still nothing, 30 minutes go by, still nothing, I ask the manager at the checkout, she says she tried but one of her people was on lunch, the other did not want to help. This is a direct quote. Mostly I had this experience at the Lumber department. Ive been coming to this store for more than 3 years now. From now on when I cant find something immediately I will just drive over to Lowes which is 6 minutes away and always has everything. This is exactly what I did now and it worked.

Since i refurbish furniture this is the best place to be so that I can get all I can to create a masterpiece. I went there recently and got about 30 bags of red wood mulch for the flower beds in my front yard and it wasnt expensive at all. Shop at the home depot for all of your household needs.

Comment: They actually have customer service at Home Depot. Seems like that’s a thing of the past. And they have enough employees there to help you. They have an amazing selection of storage containers, their cardboard boxes for shipping and Movie are fantastic better than U-HAUL or Lowe’s. And their prices are very competitive, but the quality is a five star. I ship to my place in Oregon regularly and those boxes hold up the other ones turned to balls from the other two stores. I of course I love Milwaukee tools. And they have them there. We’ve purchased all our lumber for our redo in our kitchen and again I say their customer service is good. I’ve got lots of parking. And great hours.

On the way out the store, my employee was confronted by several Home Depot NPC clowns accusing them of stealing the product when it was already paid for. How degrading, get your facts straight before accusing my employee when hes doing what he was instructed to do. Obviously your loss prevention department sucks if you dont have eyes to see that online pickup orders have a yellow label on them indicating the order is already paid for. There are nails all over their parking lot, as well just had my tire repaired HD CEO Craig Menier makes $90 million a year to put mom and pop hardware stores like Virgil’s (doing business in Glendale for over a hundred years) out of business, exploit employees and provide no system through which anyone can issue a complaint -/ take this review seriously that place is just awful and the dismaying reviews are testament to that.

Comment: My home was built in the 60s. A fact Home Dept didnt bother to ask about until after they charged me $50 and sent someone to do the measurement. He wrote down - clear as day on the report submitted for an estimate - that due to the age of the place, there could be asbestos. He assured me that if so, the installers would only charge about $100 extra and handle it.After literally hours and hours of endless discussions and verifications on phones and in person, I was given the greenlight and an estimate. I purchased all the materials and the installation. I paid someone to bring the heavy load from the store to my home - Home Depot would only deliver either to the store, or to the curb. I also had to free up my schedule, empty the kitchen and the fridge, and get up at an ungodly hour.THEN the installer informed me, on arrival, that I needed to hire a special company to check for asbestos before he could proceed! I also discovered that if there was any, I would be charged thousands of dollars to handle it.I managed to get Home Depot to pick up the materials cluttering my living room. When I didnt hear back from them, I filed disputes with the two credit card companies I used. One of them re-credited me right away, the other is still waiting for Home Depot to refund it on their own volition before they intervene. Almost 3 weeks later, Home Depot has not yet refunded the money.My credit card company would handle this part. But I am out $160 ($50 for useless measuring that is unrefundable because of the service I supposedly received, and $110 for someone to carry the materials). Not to mention all the time I wasted and the aggravation.Home Depot refuses to take responsibility for any part of this fiasco. I will NEVER hire them for any job and highly suggest you dont either. Interestingly enough, they practically flood the web with scores of their own websites showing mostly positive reviews. I suppose they are trying to bury the real ones.Whether dishonest or incompetent, I would never use Home Depot again for any installation project I might have.

I went to home Depot last night since I never received an email to pickup. The little boy who was supposed to help me looked high and was clearly annoyed that a customer was speaking to him. He placed another order without my consent. Then the supervisor defended his actions like a mom coddling her immature child. I received an email today 3/8 stating that my order has been cancelled. Amazingly great waste of time dealing with workers there.

I called the sunset store where the bbq was bought and they said said I need to call the Burbank store bc they were the ones to deliver the item. Long story short- after an hour on the phone and back and forth between these two stores and their “managers,”they agreed to pick up the run down bbq. After 3 weeks a refund was issued and not for the full amount paid. I should have bought the bbq from somewhere else. Such a headache.

The price is recently raised but it’s fine they are not too greedy. I understand the market and I really appreciate that we have business like this Lowes for example are very expensive and they have the same stuff. Ace Hardware are nice too but Home Depot is the winner. Also if you need some helpers, they always wait outside. Employees were absolutely not knowledgeable about this service, didn’t give us any instructions, didn’t explain us any fees and even forgot to give us our contact, when we asked when we should return equipment, girl was annoyed with the question and said to look at the contract and only then realized she didn’t even give it to us…2. The equipment was very disgusting and dirty!! We spent an hour cleaning smelly, dirty equipment after someone else and we rented it to clean our white couch and carpet.3. No one gave us any discount or even offered something like that and when we tried to return “damage fee” that no one explained us about, after cleaning your equipment which is your job, no one did so.Overall horrible service, would not recommend this Home Depot and particularly this service to anyone

They lost my order and instead of trying to help and resolve the matter, they rude associate hung up on me when I asked for a supervisor she simply hung up one me. HD has the worst customer service and they are not willing to help their customers to resolve the issue. My order was supposed to arrive by the 26th, I started my project based on that. Home Depot Burbank lost my item. My project which was a shower remodel is on hold, In the meantime I do not have a shower. HD should have told me it takes over a month to get the item I needed so I would explore other options or at least would not start the project and stay showerless for a month. They re-ordered my item and now are saying it will get here after October 6th, which according to my experience in past few that is not even a reliable date. Shame on Home Depot and shame on HD Burbank for having such rude and unprofessional associates.

I looked online, and I came in with all my info, Aisle and Lot #, ready to pick up some shelves, but when I got there - zero. So, I asked some ladies for help, and they asked a guy in a light blue shirt, (another nice employee said he worked in the paint section) if he’d help. When he got over to the spot the shelves were supposed to be, he acted like he was bummed he was actually going to have to, y’know, work. After 15-20 minutes or so, I go looking for him, to find him chatting with his coworkers again. He says, “Oh, I found them.” No other info offered, then he walks somewhere else, and I had to ask one of the girls if I should wait at the original spot, or what. She told me that it was on the back wall, so I put it together that this guy is one of the few in the store allowed to operate a forklift. After another 15-20 minutes, the girl comes back over and says that he got them down. So, I tell her that I should have just called. She acted like I was being rude for saying that, after waiting 30+ minutes, somehow that was good service. So yeah, Home Depot’s new slogan - “We See You, But Ain’t Nobody Got Time for Dat!”

The panels had holes in it, cracks, they were in different length, and one board panel was loose. I hired someone to pick up and now has to return it and that will cost me as much as the fence itself... In addition to that, I called the Home Depot in Burbank to make a complaint and the store assistant hung up the phone after I said that selling a product in this condition was dishonest.

I made a reservation for a cargo van on Jan 20 and it was cancelled by the store on the 23 due to lack of inventory and they emailed me saying I would get a full refund which is fine. I waited a week and never got my refund and when I called the first time I spoke with a supervisor and he told me he did not even see my reservation in the system when I clearly have an email with all the information. So he said he would handle the situation and he would call me back that day, well he didn’t. I had to call again the same day and talk to a worker who had no idea what my situation was but was told that refunds can take up to 10 business days and I said okay I will wait til it’s 10 days. On the 10th day I still had not received my refund and once again called and was told the supervisor would call me back and yet again I got no answer and they were not concerned in the slightest about my money. Horrible customer service. Stop robbing people of their money when you cancelled my reservation. Now i have to go through my bank to get my $150 back. I highly suggest not renting any tools or vehicles from this location because if they cancel you will not get your money back.

Comment: Workers are totally unhelpful and seem bothered when asked a question. Takes forever to get help cutting wood. I asked the closest person I could find if I could get help with the wood cut and she told me “you have to find someone in the lumber department. They could be up at the front of the store” so I asked if she’s able to call for someone and she said her phone is only for picking up orders… kind of rude but ok. Usually they can page someone for you. And so I walked to the front of the store and the guy up there was equally dismissive and told me it will take a while. When the lumber guy finally came over he was fast, efficient, and friendly. So not all are rude! The checkout was also fast and efficient. So clearly they need to redistribute their staff for these things. The fasteners section was a complete disaster. Totally a mess and difficult to find anything.

I was lucky to get a 2 gallon blue-green Italian Stone Pine 2 years ago right after Christmas, and I kept it on my balcony and recently planted outdoors (on my pics.) They are beautiful and hardy, very nice quality here. This December they sell them in two sizes - 2/1.5 gallons and small 6.5” Italian Stone Pines. The bigger pines sold out too quickly, I got the only one left on December 16, then came back for a smaller one for the office.Garden department Cashier Andrea made buying the pines easy and pleasant for me both times. She is personable and cares for the customers and plants.

Comment: The Burbank location seem to be more organized than North Hollywood location. Jackson, who works at Burbank Christmas tree lot is very helpful, accomodating and hardworking. He takes time to cut the bottom of tree trunk to make sure it is straight and offer to help me load the tree to my car since there are no customer waiting at the time. Manangement need to acknowledge Jackson for a job well done. The female cashiers at customer service/pick up, garden and self-service sections are all friendly and helpful. Burbank location seem to be managed well. Thank you.

I constantly hear all around me on the speakers someone repeating the same department that a customer needs help in. Seems like Home Depot needs to upload some hiring forms on Indeed to find better employees that care. And same goes for me. As Im waiting for help, I am writing this review, knowing that the appliance department apparently has only one person working at 7 PM and that I have to wait one hour for their lunch time to finish up. I asked several employees to help me purchase an appliance and out of all of them, only one has been trained to do so in the evening? Very unprofessional if you ask a regular customer such as myself to perform such a simple task. I am giving this location two stars partially because I also have Covid-19 to blame for businesses failing at providing exceptional customer service, as a result of being understaffed.

My mother who is 84 years old was redoing her garden and we needed quite a number of the Vigoro’s Golden Sunset stones. There was 4 cashiers and they were all huddling around one trying to figure out a return that only the manager could handle. This happened for about 15-20 minutes. Comment: My dad and I went to this Home Depot to pick up a pipe fitting and my goodness, I never knew there were so many different sizes! No wonder Home Depot is heaven-sent for people! Theres something for everyone. We were able to find the missing piece with some help from one of the employees and we were out the door.For now, there are two long lines being directed by an employee where there are clearly marked tapes in the floor directing people to stand 6 feet apart. It doesnt matter if you want to do self-check out or not--everyone is directed to wait in the two long lines. Just an FYI.Also, dont be intimidated by the long line outside. It moves pretty quickly. Another nice thing that we saw as we pulled into the line was another employee diligently sanitizing all the carts as we were walking in the line.There were some things missing that we wanted, like a regular room freshener. We settled for one of those refill ones for automatic dispensers and figured wed use it til the regular one is in stock. Hand soap was also difficult to find but there was plenty of dishwashing soap. The few employees I could find pointed me in wrong areas.I was about to leave and go to the Home Depot closer to my house, but asked a kind young man about some sandpaper I was purchasing and he took my question to Karen, who, in contrast to the service I received from some other employees, was enthusiastically helpful.She went back to helping other customers and before heading out, I checked one last spot where another employee said Id find the brackets.Frustrated, I was on my way out, wanting to speak to a manager, but I ran into Karen again who then carefully listened to my admittedly poor description of what I was looking for.She pointed me in the right spot though she was clearly being accosted by other costumers and employees, came to the aisle to ensure Id found those brackets.I probably would avoid this particular store unless Karen is working. If I do find myself in need of coming to this particular Home Depot again, Ill ask the front desk for Karen and I can assure you that youd be in good hands of you do the same.In fact, Id go out of my way to come to this store if I knew Karen was working. Thats why we go to physical locations is so we can talk with people who can help us figure out what were looking for. She knows her stuff and is friendly and helpful. Her service represents an ever-elusive human element in the modern state of customer service.Karen can make the Home Depot experience great again. Karen for President 2016.

Comment: Came in at 930 was greeted by an employee at the door but the rest of the time I was there employees were either walking away from me or by me without offering help. They all seemed too engaged with their closing duties rather than trying to help me find my products. I was asked to leave as they were closing multiple times when I would expect to be offered help in finding my items. They were out of stock on 4 of the 10 things I came in for.

Comment: I love Home Depot :) theyre are lots of knowledgeable guys who are ready to come with you find what you need and instruct you how to use a tool you are buying and do the work. Let me add: of you need a good adviser find an older guy. Dont ask anything those young guys, they dont know anything, even in which isle to find your product you are looking for. Sometimes I think they do it in presuppose to look like an idiot.

Comment: I used to hardware shop at the Lowes in Empire Center until I found this Home Depot. They are about the same distance from my house and the prices, service, and selection are almost identical but I prefer Home Depots orange logo to Lowes blue one. Dont get me wrong, blue is a great color and studies have shown it to have a positive and calming effect in people but theres just something about that big glowing orange Home Depot sign that pumps me up. I mean, if Im about to go all Bob Villa on my place then Im tryin to up the energy, not calm it down. I dont want some wimpy blue placebo dulling my senses, I want a giant fiery orange brand to set my soul on fire! Parking is also easier here.

Comment: I called 7 times today between 11am and 5pm. Was on hold for between 5-10 minutes each time. I had a simple question I could not get answered. The automated service said it was their busy time and that a sales person would answer when they could…I dont see how its their busy time all day long? It just goes to show that no matter what store you go to or call, home depot has THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! The only thing worse than being put on hold forever without anyone picking up, is actually going into a store and trying to get help. 99.99% of the employees there have 0 knowledge about what theyre selling. I guess thats what happens when you hire a bunch of high school drop outs who barely have a grasp on the english language. F@$# Burbank, F$#@ Home Depot.

Comment: Its a mixed bag with Home Depot in Burbank. Ive bought plenty of stuff here and most the staff has been knowledgeable and helpful. Ive only run into a couple snag. One with a chainsaw someone bought and returned and I was the unlucky person to buy it off the shelf after no one bothered to look in the box and inspect it. I had to drive all the way back to the store and get a new one. Another time I bought a washer and dryer and discovered I needed a stack kit to set them up after I had already waited a week for delivery. They tried to push the delivery back but I just went to Lowes instead. The did refund me the difference on a purchase after was substantially reduced in price just 10 days later. It took a long time in the store but was worth the wait.

Comment: Beware of products with green label. Products are sold as discontinued, but are really used and broken. Bought a washing machine. Complete nightmare. Machine made a loud grinding noise. Sounded like metal grinding on metal. Went off balance whenever it was in the spin cycle. Called the store, went through multiple managers to get credit for the bad machine and/or replace it. Roadblocks every inch of the way. Management refused to acknowledge that they had put a used, broken machine back on the selling floor. Management did not return payment for returned machine. Instead, held my money for 24 - 48 hours. Complete waste of time and money. And I still dont have a working washing machine. Going somewhere else with my business

Comment: Like it. Easy in and out. Easy parking. Well stocked and staffed. Whenever I need parts for a home project, I come here. The hot dog, burger stand outside is awesome. Best kept secret in Burbank.

Comment: I guess I got spoiled going to the Home Depot in Hollywood for so many years, because after going to that one then the Burbank one, well lets just say the Burbank Home Depot is the worst in LA county. There is never anyone to help you any where at any time. Their saws is always broken, the paint department is always over run. Went through the line, and I realized I got the wrong item (something they ran out of btw), asked the cash register guy that I accidentally rang up the wrong item, so he sent me to their giant returns line where there is one lady working at a snails pace. I go there all the time because I live a few blocks away, so I am not just some disgruntled customer, I have to deal with their ineptitude on a regular basis. I actually started drive miles away to go to different locations.

Comment: I did a big order from this Home Depot and Im impressed with the customer service. Let me just start off with the contractors over there Gorge. Bob and Travis the did excellent job. Gorge and Bob helped me with setting up the order and Travis was helping me to gather everything together. Theyre so nice and a lot of knowledge I learned a lot from them. Ive always done shipping in hardware stores with big orders but never seen such a caring customer service. I think they deserve a paycheck raise or a bonus. However I offered them a free lunch they declined saying thats their job to provide us excellent service. And before I forget want to say thank you to Allen the Armenian guy whos always ready to help us and has always done( walking computer) know how to take care of a customer and for sure his job, and Marie( Barbie doll lady) she is so sweat she helped me with delivery. I would highly recommend you to shop in this home depot specially when you have big orders cause those guys know what they are doing without having any concerns that something will be missing from your order. Thank you all!!!! ..... Ill be back.....
