I wanted a PVC pipe cut for a few garden projects and asked 2 different associates to call for help. After over 20 mins of waiting, the manager sends me someone from another dept who knew nothing about the dept. I was needing help in and I had questions. Too bad they dont train them in ALL departments. Cashiers were friendly and tried to help. However, this mystery manager(cashier called) needs to work on getting his team trained in multiple areas. Or perhaps the manager should KNOW ALL depts. Now that would of been more helpful to me.
The store was clean and employees seemed happy and chatty. I found exactly what I was looking for and being enamored with a lovely flowering plant I bought as well. Check out was easy and one cashier at the checkout on the other side of me offered a suggestion to make sure it was well insulated for winter which was really helpful, since I know nothing about the particular flower that I bought. A staff in good spirits makes shopping way more enjoyable.
I came in to buy a snowblower and, with two able bodied men up front to load it, they sat back on their phones, and let a woman, who probably weighed less that the snowblower itself, load it up for me.Its ridiculous and Ive heard that this happens a lot at this location. One of the men was named Travis. That much I know, because all he did was give me attitude.This place needs to keep their employees in check.Thankfully the woman got my snowblower loaded with no problems. Good for her. Shame on those men who couldve helped, but apparently their phones meant more to them.Look into this, home depot. Learn how to manage your crew.
Just visited this home depot to purchase a couple of items. This is not the home depot I normally visit and I am very thankful for that. The staff seemed very disgruntled and moral must be low. Someone came up to me in the drywall isle and asked if I needed help, so I asked a basic, simple question and she told me to go ask the guys in lumber and pointed down the way. HahaWhen I went to check out at the pro desk, 3 employees were standing in a semi circle notching up a storm. I patiently waited at the open register and when the cashier came to help me she was rude and nasty.This must be one of the worst run locations Ive ever been to. Next time ill drive to the Menards in Big Rapids and try my luck there.
Do not recommend shopping here. I purchased a tv stand that was in the store but the color I wanted had to be ordered so they tried to not honor the veterans discount (had a friend with me that used his discount) after arguement they finally did. Two weeks later I pick the tv stand up and get home to put it together and some of the parts are the incorrect parts so I can’t put the item together.. call the Home Depot customer service line and they tell me they can’t just send the part I have to repackage the whole thing and return it lady on the phone told me someone would pick it up or I can return it to the store. Come to find out after speaking to the store manager lady lied and I have to haul it to the store myself and he said he would still honor veteran discount when I return and exchange and when I arrive ask for him. Okay no big deal whatever. I get there to return it and ask for the manager nobody seems to care to let him know I’m there I return the item and exchange it and they try arguing with me over veteran discount after arguing with the employees for awhile a nice man finally came and helped me and just gave me the discount... the store manager I spoke with never once came out after they kept lying and telling me he would be with me in a moment. The whole thing was a fiasco from the beginning and they didn’t make returning it any easier not a pleasant experience at all I will not be shopping here for anything again. I’m only giving two stars because they did finally give me the discount they said but only after giving me a hard time about it
Adam in the granite/kitchen area was awesome--very helpful, no pressure, pleasant & professional......cannot say the same for the man in the paint dept. I was mid sentence asking questions & his phone rang.....apparently that call was more important. Very poor customer service. Too bad.....I will take my business to Menards.
The staff at our Home Depot store in CadillacMary are amazing. My husband has Parkinsons. Some things are difficult for him to do. The staff all know him and watch for him. They are always quick to help him in any way they can. One day I had dropped him off at the door before parking, and when I went inside, I couldnt find him. One of the staff asked me if they could help me find anything, and when I replied only my husband, they laughed and asked what he looked like. When I told them, they knew exactly who he was and knew where he was at! They are a GREAT STORE and GREAT STAFF. Mary at the checkout is especially helpful and kind, and does an excellent job. If Home Depot had an employee of the year award, Mary should get the award. Thanks for being a wonderful example of what good customer service should be!
Purchased 1800 Sq ft of flooring during the rebate. We ordered in store but since they did not have that amount Home Depot ordered online which disqualified us for the 11% rebate. Central Transport delivered two full pallets and dropped it on our driveway. We had to carry 4000 lbs of flooring box by box into our garage. We are both senior citizens and that was crazy. I think we ended up with more flooring than we needed. Last flooring we buy at Home Depot and not much else if we can avoid it.
If youre a veteran DO NOT SHOP HERE OR ANY OTHER HOME DEPOT! Apparently, Home Depot offers their veterans discounts on certain items. We drove over an hour to come her specifically for the discount they say they offer. Dont make the same mistake we did. Go to LOWES where they honor veterans and give discounts on everything!
Great selection of goods within the store and always available to purchase online and have shipped to store. Prices are pretty decent on most all items. Staff are usually kind and helpful, though sometimes you encounter some not so friendly workers, some are helpful, others not at all.
I was at Home Depot today which is Saturday the 30th I fired some insulation board look up oil backing we pull it down the water just ran all over this and I asked the guy what the heck I said these things are just soaked the guy we just brought him in from outside till it snows Mountain as we got something I can wipe them down with you laughed and walked away let another guy walked up and slowly getting water all over. Me I said that your your Styrofoam board do you watch way would give us nothing do we start pushing the cart down the aisle new you made lady that work there cuz you guys are leaving the water Trail I said I told her she called just a minute Ill be right back and she went and got us some pepper jelly but you know it was bad
Waited about 1 hour to cancel a order mix up. I was being waited on for an hour. The first girl with purple hair & A double lip Pearce didnt want to wait on me so she threw a fit and refused to serve me.to add insult to injury she took my paper work with her. While the manager tried to figure out how to give a refund. The purple haired girl came a hour later and ask the manager helping me if she wanted my paper work? What a joke. I wish I wouldve got her name. Her tag was covered. Bad experience!!!!!!!
Absolutely incredible how this place can be in business. On four separate occasions asked for a product that the website said was on the shelf. Two employees said to look it up online and walked away. One employee sent us to another employee who couldnt answer the question. The last employee was requested to get a manager and disappeared.
The gentleman that helped us name was Ken and he not only helped us in his area of responsibility but continued to show us several other items we were in need of and helped us decide on which products were best to fit each of those needs. I didnt think this kind of customer service still existed...thx Ken you do your company proud!
Bought couple of items gift checked it out and didnt put it back in my cart,when checkout person checked me out we called down to original person and was told someone else must have picked up my stuff and left with them. Seems to me that if a checkout puts your stuff in a bag she could put it back in your cart---not happy cause I had to go back and get right stuff, I wasnt charged ,but please do your job right the first time.
Good prices, good selection, nice people. Only downfall - employees will run up on you when you walk into an isle like a vulture and lurk around you the whole time. I understand they are being helpful, but back off a minute and see if the people actually NEED your help.
I dont even want to give them 1 star! We have lived in this area for 3 years and have yet to go in to this store and heard a goodmorning, hello, nothing! I went in to return 2 air vents yesterday for a smaller size, approaching the customer service desk to a lade that immediately says I dont have time to talk to you, Im on the phone. Oh, is that like, Ill have someone with you in a moment? I noticed also on my receipt that I had not been charged the sale price for another item I had purchased the day before so I went back to that department asked for the department manager because a large sign was still above that item at $9.97 and they charged me $14.97. The department manager said he was doing a price check, ok but the big SALE sign is still there for the same thing. He then said yep, you saw it wrong, its $14.97. Ah, no, it still says its on sale! I proceeded to ask everyone that went past me, what they would have thought the price was and they agreed with me! All of them Home depot employees. It wasnt about the $5.00, it was about the employee telling me I was wrong and walking away like I was some kind of white trash. He obviously hates his job!! Finally the cashier went and got the store manager and he agreed with me, and they brought me the $4.00 something and apologized. Too late. We were in there last week and asked for a back splash to put behind our stove because we live in a log home and this rude as hell employee said, well we wouldnt have anything like that and walked away!!!!! Thats it, we have spent a lot of money in that store and it will never happen again. They wonder why people are going to just internet shopping, its because of rude employees like the Cadillac Home Depot has!!!!
Superb customer service! I asked for help today in the flooring department and was assisted by the same young lady who assisted me a week ago in the plumbing department. That lady knows where to find just about everything in that store! The odd item that she doesnt know where to locate, she knows whom to ask!
Ive bought stuff here all the time never get any loading assistance which is fine because Im 25. But when my 67 yr old father goes in and buys 78 blocks and you point the the blocks and walk away. Boy you was lucky I wasnt there. And not like home Depot gives af. Anyways. Service is horrible
Oi, I’m just leaving this store now. I’ve been there 2 other times and it’s a real mixed bag. There are a few exceptionally helpful staff members there but this last experience was a debacle. I tried to rent an attic insulation blower and was there waiting multiple times at customer service while different newbs tried to add it to the system. Communication between staff was weak and they seemed understaffed in general. I had to just walk out of the store by the 90 minute mark. Heading to Menards now as well as for the rest of my home renovation project.
I had a personal visit from the MOD today, he stated that he was told I was unhappy when I left. that was not the case. I was overly happy and satisfied with everyones help. Ashley and Melisa were very helpful to get me exactly what I wanted, they went above and beyond to have halpers get my products to the front of the store for me.Thank you so very muchFrom us at Genes Auto Parts, have a Merry Christmas
Ordered a tankless hot water heater online for in store pickup, it did not come with any kind of vent kit, I called the store and was told the person in plumbing was to busy to take the call but said they dont carry anything like that in the store & check online. I did and home depot doesnt even sell it! Why sell a product and not also sell the parts needed to install it? Now Im without hot water until the kit arrives from the manufacturer.
Friendly and knowledgeable employees for the most part. Well stocked on almost all home construction needs. Holding employee meetings in store during business hours is poor form. And no, I don’t need to know that it’s Billy Jo Bob’s 70th birthday over the PA. Cmon guys, the regular volume of noise is more than enough.
Ive visited home depot in Cadillac 4-5 times the past few months and there are many customers without wearing masks. When I went there yesterday morning, out of the five customers I saw, 2 were not wearing masks. I was looking at paint colors when one of the men came down the paint aisle coughing excessively. I set my samples down and exited and will not return to home depot in the future.
Usually has about what e at I need. If they dont have it in store they may be able to order it for you and depending on what it is have it delivered to your ho.e or have it for in,store pick up. Their e.ployees while typically busy are more tha. Happy to assist you and take you right to the item youre looking for.
Went to store to buy 5 boxes of subway tile. We already had 3 boxes from Menards. Menards told us they would not have more for about two weeks and gave us the date expected. Decided to drive 30 miles to Home Depot. Only found a partial box on the shelf. Spoke to saleswoman who told us she did not know when more would be coming in. She said they are on automatic order and would be ordered when the supply was down. I asked how far down the supply needed to be in order for more to get on the shelf. She was vague about that. I asked another employee how I could speak to the store manager. He called the manager for me. The manager told me that subway tile was on the way out of popularity and they wouldnt be stocking it anymore. They had a different brand on the shelf however, but not the brand I already had. He offered to check other stores and then said that no one had any. After I returned home I went online to check availability and found out that another store 50 miles from us had seven boxes. So I called the Ludington Store. But the man on the phone said he had to look for them. He called me back and said he found them way up on a top shelf on a pallet. I feel that I was given the run around by the people at the Cadillac store.
Well, i usually dread having to get anything that has to do with home improvement as i know nothing about it. On this particular day i had to get paint. Wasnt sure what color or type. Im horrible with remembering names but i think it was Kim L in the paint department was amazing!!! She got me right what i needed and even helped me pick what color would look best. I didnt just get looked at like i was stupid for not knowing. She also told me why she picked what she did for me. I appreciated that a ton!!!
Ordered a generator online and shipped to store for pick up in Cadillac Mi. They not only failed to assist in putting it in the cart or helping load it but the product was damaged. So I sit in a broken generator with 4 broken parts and waiting in replacement cause I am not able to return it. Do NOT order from this store for pickup at store for any I mean any high dollar items. Rip off. I still sit here waiting to use the generator I purchased brand new!!8/6/19.Yep another bad experience. You cant find a worker to help with anything. Then when and if you do they are very unprofessional. My final visit to Cadillac HD.
Me and my husband have spent thousands in last couple weeks and are noticing a pattern they stalk and watch u every where we walk an employee goes out of there way to go in the isle and stare obviously like we are criminals even had one ask if I was in the night before and nothing further.. We pay cash and credit atleast $400 each time we go and we waited an hr and a half to be able to look at water filters 5 employees refused to let us grab it quick because some lady was just moving something in upper storage we left shopped at Walmart and cane back to get told no u have to wait again and finally my husband made a stink and he kept apologizing to the other worker obvious like pointing it at us horrible annoying inconvient customers for wanting to buy a filter.. They will try to push u and make u feel awkward not buying expensive stuff u dont need like wont let it go standing arguing. We spent hrs in there each time moving around them, getting cut off by them waiting for them to unblock entire isles, there one forklift driver yelled at me and stopped me and almost hit me (because i stopped to see why he was rudely stink eyeing and yelling when i seen and avoided him by atleast 10 feet.) We spend all this money and return a $10 insulation chunk and the red head starts getting a tone and telling my husband loud (i could hear well over 25 feet away coming in entrance) that home depot is cracking down on theifs returning things.. It was so embarrassing and we even said we wanted it on store credit cuz we had shopping to do.. U cant walk anywere without every 30 seconds an employer cutting u off, cant even think.. I have reciepts to show all we hve spent just to get degraded by 90% of there staff.. If it wasnt permant small multiple purchases id return everything im disgusted i supported that store..We now drive an hour to Menards and suffer between without before giving them another penny.. We just bought a fixer upper that needs remodeled top to bottom all new insulation drywall plumbing and way more I think Id say thats a loss for them.. U ask for light neutral brown paint with kinda a grey tone and specify shiny looks tacky to you and she gives u shiny metallic paint that looks like auto paint.. Idiots and a lot of dirty junkie looking people work there shame... They put led lights not on sale with christmas clearance lights trying to scam people into paying $50..they leave security tags on stuff u buy it didnt go off at store byt seen it when i got home and was furious i live 20 min away...ive heard from lots of people that its slumsville and not to go there they are degrading..Ive never given a reason to be suspect to them its just embarrassing cant say it enough rude greasy staff except maybe 3 workers... P.S. Menards is so much cheaper a couple bucks per item adds up fast to cover gas.. And their clearance isnt just a couple bucks off a couple hundred dollar drill
My mother in law went in to buy some stain and finish for her wood floor, the guy in the paint department was rude and told her he didnt know the difference between the two brands she was asking about and that she just needed to read the can to figure it out. She went to ask him another question and he ignored her and started walking toward another customer. We went to find someone else to help us and were told there is someone working in the paint department. I personally will never buy anything from this home depot again as this is not the first time that we have been ignored. If you want to work in a customer service industry, do you think you should have some manners

2022-05-18Very nice store, ever since my mothers boss bought a nice house for us, weve gotten a lot of our products from here, including our sturdy mailbox. I love the vast selections of housing items offered there, I honestly would like to get back into woodworking again and this is where I would get my supplies. Will say this, things are a bit too pricey but other than that, very nice

2022-05-11I want to give this place 5 stars, but several months later and I still think about that girl in the paint section who seemed to take her anger out on customers. Colored hair, lots of rude. Dealt with a lot of other employees there and they have all been kind. Even got a credit card from one of the employees, but that girl in the paint is the reason I shop in traverse city. She was just demeaning and rude for no reason. I was buying paint, no issues so it was very confusing.. maybe she was having a bad day, but still no excuse to be mean to someone just purchasing. Even the older male employee noticed she was rude as I stood there in shock at how mean she was so he started to be overly nice to make up for it. Left a poor taste in my mouth so I haven’t really been back.

2022-06-28I have mixed emotions about the Home Depot in Cadillac. If you go to the end of the store with the flowers and the outdoor stuff and the automotive section, etc… you get great service there… very polite very helpful! If you go to the lumber end and section everybody’s having personal conversations, they watch you climbing up on stacks reaching for big boards over your head and the one guy is actually working so hard that you can tell he’s the pro loader filling orders and you get better service from no lumber employees … the rest of them have probably been there too long and have gotten too comfortable… they stand there talking and just watch you… Even with gas five dollars a gallon I’d rather drive to Menards in Traverse City to get my lumber!

2022-06-127 employees standing around only 2 know were anything is. The are not knowledgeable of their jobs either. I overheatd an associate tell a customer I couldnt tell you the difference except in price. I have no idea .Getting physical help loading supplies is joke as well. I will find all that I need at menards.

2022-05-23Had to swap out some ACs for different sizes at the customer service desk and my bonehead left my driverse license. Only realized I left it a week later while at the bank. Checked the mail on the way home and sure enough, they mailed it to me. Thanks for helping a declining old man keep his sanity and his license!

2022-01-02When ringing up my purchase at the self checkout the lady working decided that I didnt ring up certain items so instead of checking my bags and the item list she took the scanner out of my hands and re scanned four items. After about 5 minutes of arguing with her she finally looked at the item list and the bags and removed the items she scanned. Not only was it embarrassing having to deal with her I will not go to a store where the employees think its ok to grab stuff out of customers hands then accuse them of stealing without making sure they are.

2022-06-20For big box store prices are as high as small mom and pop locations. Keep the money in your community by using smaller mom and pop locations in big citys in montana.
