The Home Depot in other cities:
Placed order for new cabinets paid for delivery by home Depot was outsourced to a third and fourth party delivery service made arrangements to have all cabinets and countertops installed this weekend to open boxes with destroyed cabinets when cabinets was delivered was left out in the weather never received a phone call when we was told we would receive one before delivery was made delivery was over a day late so no one was here to inspect delivery think twice before doing business with home Depot I called today to let them know of the issues with the cabinets the supervisor asked me if we could just use the damage cabinets think twice before doing business with home Depot if you cant buy it see it and inspect it right there on the spot dont get it go someplace else
Home Depot, like many other businesses, have had to make decisions about what to keep in stock..They still have the best of washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators etc..They also have a fair stock of carpets as well.Every person I saw working there was pleasant and wanted to assist us in any way possible..that was a good feeling!I got the sense that the people working there were there because they wanted to be....not because they were indentured.we will continue to go to Home Depot first for our home needs.
Decent store...stupid mask mandate. We have all dealt with covid for over a year, anyone who wanted a vaccine has gotten one and the ones who didnt know the risks. It would be nice if an American store had that stuff we used to have back in the day, you know, freedom!
I had a list of items that probably would have been $200-$250, but when I went to this store only about half of the customers were wearing masks, so Ill wait to go somewhere that has more concern for their customers (and their employees) health. I asked for a manager and he said there was nothing they could do to enforce their wearing. Funny, their other locations do. I was fully vaccinated over a month ago and I obviously care more about their customers than THEY do.
Were in the process of restoring a 100+ year old farmhouse so weve spent a ridiculous amount of time in there. Theres a employee in the plumbing department , Either Robert or Roger, cannot remember for sure which it is. He deserves some recognition! Hes walked us through everything with doing 100% of our plumbing! His personality and knowledge keep us coming back during the evening hours!!
I had to call twice during this latest widespread power outage. My parents live in Jackson (my hometown) and Im active duty stationed currently in Georgia. I was trying to get information on generators as everyone seems to be running out or already out of them and my parents are both disabled.I spoke with Gary twice. He didnt know all of my family details etc...but gave me as much info as he could (with certainty) about an expected emergency truck and what details he had about any incoming possibilities. I plainly understood more info would be available tomorrow. So i made a plan to set an alarm and call again.Except Gary seems to be that kind of good human who just likes helping people. He took a moment to call me back (same evening) when the truck with the generators came in. Gave me all the details...and he didnt have to do this.I spoke with 10 area hardware/home stores today. This interaction was by far the most helpful during a stressful time. Many Thanks to Gary for RARE and appreciated excellent customer service and for being a decent human.
Every item we needed was in stock and easily accessible. The prices were comparable to their competitors and the service was great. A big thank you to Home Depot for providing a pleasant, safe and successful shopping experience. I highly recommend this store and will be returning to make further purchases.
I went looking for a product that the web site said was in stock. Looked around for awhile and couldnt find it so we asked an employee and his response was its somewhere. So we asked another employee and we looked it up on our phone and read the numbers off to him and he said yes we have 12 in stock, but dont know where they are. So we gave up. So we were also in there to set up carpeting 5 rooms in our house. So we asked an associate fir help he said heres the samples Ill be around in the next few Ailes we seen him talking.and playing around. So we left will be looking at different carpet places mo
Went in to the appliance department and told Amber I was building a house and needed all new appliances. I asked if there were any bundle deals, she sain not until memorial day and hands me a card. I walk around the appliances for about 10 minutes expecting her to answer a question....guess I have to wait until memorial day for those to get answered
I was just in there. Spent 45 minutes trying to get down a lumber isle. But couldnt. Blocked supposedly putting stock up. I saw the forklift go in once. The girl flagging was to busy talking to a floor sweeper to notice anyone. Not including 5 employees at checkout talking. 3 over by insulation and the 3 I saw at hardware. Must be company meeting day. So if I could give a zero I would.
The employees are very friendly and helpful, ESPECIALLY compared to Menards! This store has a lot more in stock compared to other Home Depot stores. Lumber has been cheaper a lot of times here than Lowes or Menards and you dont have to go thru 1/2 the bunk to get a straight 2x4 compared to Menards twisted vines they call 2x4s!!
Called up to the store, no one answered for 45 minutes. Called the front desk, put me on hold 5 times for 30 minutes. Finally after someone picks up the phone, they tell me no one is in the department so they can’t help me. Good thing I didn’t waste more time driving up to the store. Guess I’ll take my money elsewhere.
Home Depot has the Worst business ethics ever. Called Home Depot in Kalamazoo MI for a Ridgid 10 tile saw for $716. Kalamazoo was out of stock but told me Coldwater had 2. I called the Coldwater store and they said they did have it for $776 a $60 price increase. I ask if they would match Kalamazoos price. after checking with the manager they said YES they would honor Kalamazoos price.. I drove to the Kalamazoo store after work to buy the saw which is a hour drive. I get there and the Manager said we are not going to honor the agreement but offered $20 off.. this company has no honor a piss poor company to deal with and cant be trusted. will not do business with this company unless I absolutely have to.
The manager didnt even to bother helping the rude guy at the pro desk. I wanted to buy to large tool chest left with one after waiting for a hour and a half. The two young men that brought out the tool chest where very nice but just not well trained in loading. Will not be back to that store.
A really nice Home Depot with nicely stocked shelves and well organized. Unlike other locations, this location had what I came in for and was not out of stock. Shelves were neat and organized. The staff fast, friendly, and extremely helpful. More importantly, they were able to be found. Many of my experiences at other locations have left me feeling like I had walked for miles before finding an employee to assist me. Check out was fast and friendly as well and they actually had more than one register open on a weekend! 😁
Ingrid, our cashier today, deserves a managers salary. She was wonderful, patient, stayed with us through the whole credit card ordeal (2 hours worth of dealing with Home Depot credit center) when at no point was any of the mishap any of her fault and she couldve let the customer service desk handle it all, but stayed with us. Kudos to the manager, Mike, as well. You all made it worth our time, so thanks again!
Probably one of the absolute worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. The shift manager Lance and his crony employees who laugh at and mock you.Overall disgusted and extremely dissatisfied with the level of disrespect from floor employees and lack of leadership from management.
They have no registers with cashiers open only self check out, I’m buying a couple things , more customers were in self checkout but apparently since I am ( Latin) cashier had to go through my cart and make sure I scanned everything, even though there were customers buying way more expensive things that didn’t even get a glance from cashiers. Worst Home Depot I’ve ever gone to.
Waited 30 minutes for some one to get a skid of concrete blocks, finally just loaded then one by one, by hand myself. Next day put an online order in for a few small items for pickup. Waited 9 hours and they never picked it. Customer service at this store is atrocious.
The Coldwater Michigan Home Depot is horrible. My husbands Mom passed away and we are trying to update her home to prepare to sell. We went to the store to browse their flooring and ended up buying carpet and plank flooring. They first called to tell us that the flooring was in and scheduled installation. Four days ago, they called and said they were missing part of our order and 20 minutes later, called to say they found it. They called this morning, (Friday) to say they were at the house to install flooring. We were scheduled for Monday. After leaving work to meet them, the installer then proceeds to say that he doesnt remove flooring and he cant install although we were told this is part of what we were paying for. Several phone calls later and alot of stress, this issue is still not resolved. We have waited over a month for installation after paying this company for THIS to happen?Dealing with a death is hard enough and this has just added to the stress. Home Depot lacks integrity, honesty, and communication. I am sorry we gave them a dime.
I ordered 2 small items for pickup from the Coldwater MI store. I’m staying out of stores for the most part. I was waiting for the email or text that my order was ready for pick up but I never heard from them. It was a Swiffer and door mat, how hard could it have been? After 36 hours with no response, I cancelled the order. If I could rate it zero stars I would. I’ll order from Amazon.
Tried to buy a amana electric stove from the coldwater store the clerk told us they were out of stock and they didnt have any until the vendor brought more in there was one out on the floor was told that one wasnt for sale even though it was one of the sale stoves why was it out there if it couldnt be purchased this is confusing
I was on the phone for 20 minutes waiting for an associate and then another 20 minutes when I asked to speak to the manager. I was transferred 5 times and then rerouted back to the operator who apologized for the wait. I will never shop at this store or call them on the phone again. I will go out of my way and drive to a Menards or Lowe’s.
Its getting to the point where I dont want to do business here. Customer service just sucks, you cant find the employees half the time. Its almost a search and find mission. As for todays visit, got tired of waiting, over 10 minutes, only 2 persons in the lumber dept, and its a Saturday, store was not busy. Hmm, I wonder why. Menards, here I come, Ill drive the 40 minutes it takes,at least I know I will be helped, efficiently! Take some notes HD
Went to buy plants for the sale they had going on. Went through check out and thought...the plants didnt cost that much. Went back up to register and the checkout clerk (Richard) said You need to go to the service center. We had a trunk load of plants and he wanted us to take back out and go to front of store. We were parked 10 away from him. Richard said I cant leave this spot. Seriously, you over charge us at this counter and cant help us. Wont buy from there again. What has happened to customer service.
I special ordered a door November 22nd and I was told it would take 2-3 weeks. It’s now December 25th and we still do not have the door. Every time we call home depot they give us another date. We have an entire house to redo, we will be sure to take all of our business to Menards for now on. Highly disappointed.
Hard to find customer service. Every time I go there it is hard to find an employee to help you find something. The help just walks by without asking if you need assistance. I reccomend Lowes or Menards if you have one near by. But....if you know where something is (in the store) and dont have any questions or dont think you will need any help while there, its an ok place to get something in a pinch.
Worst wait for help, any where at any time. Looked for help 15 min. In store at aisle 11 called store asked for help getting a new kohler toilet down from stack on, on a cart. After waiting 25 min in store. I called corporate cust serv. Put me on phone w/ store mgr. Who did arrive a couple min later w cart? 50 min in store waiting........geeze!
Came to this store to purchase a washer and dryer and use my veteran discount. One of the employees told us we could order it online and have it delivered and just bring in the online receipt, in order to receive the discount. We take the receipt in and they tell us it came through a different store approx 45 minutes away. So we go to this other Home Depot and they tell us that we cannot receive the discount for online purchases.... Will not be shopping at Home Depot anymore...
My husband called several times this evening requesting a price/product availability check. He was hung up on everytime. They need either 1) a better phone system or 2) associates trained to use tge phone system or 3) better customer service. It is an hour drive for us to get there. Hed like to know if they carry 20 2x6s before he drives that far. 😏 Next call...Jonesville Lumber or Addison Lumber. Or head to Jackson Menards (Lowes doesnt have them).
Can be real hard to find help when you have a question. We were looking for glue for our wood floor and besides not being able to locate glue, the few people we saw always turned in other direction or had no clue how to answer our question. They just said well it should be here, ....but it wasnt, and that was all the help we get. We have decided to start making the 40 minute trip to Jackson from hillsdale to go to menards from now on. It would be one thing if this was the first time, but everytime we need something quick, while remodeling our house for the last year, and go here, its way more expensive ....if we can even find what we are looking for.
The home depot in coldwater is not as good as others Ive been to..constantly hunting for a cart to get materials..no one is ever around to help u find anything..they mess up orders..Ive come back on multiple occasions to get things they forgot..its to bad that this is the only place to get home improvement supplies in the area or I would never return.

2022-06-14I took the day off from work to be home when Home Depot delivered my new washer and dryer. Two men showed up in a truck and asked to see the current washer and dryer. After seeing some slight corrosion on my spigot (its not to code?), they loaded everything back on the truck and drove away. I first called Home Depot, who said LG was responsible for delivery. I then called LG, who said that Home Depot was responsible for delivery. I had to go to the store and talk to the manager to find out that Home Depot MDO (Market Delivery Operations) was responsible. I called them, but they refused to turn the drivers around (its not in their contract). The best they could do was reschedule delivery. Since my current washer was leaking I didnt have much choice. The second team was much more professional and had my new washer and dryer in place in less than 15 minutes. Still, this whole experience was infuriating, and I will never buy anything from Home Depot larger than a box of screws.

2022-06-11The workers didnt want to help at all. We were there for 20 minutes just waiting to see if they had an outdoor furniture set in stock. From the time they paged someone to the time I loaded it myself was over an hour. The store was not busy and things like this might be a factor?

2022-06-04I have been very disappointed with Home Depot ever since they have changed their policy for veterans discount. My friend has been having problems trying to program his phone even with help from the workers there. He is considering changing over to Lowes because he only has to give them his phone number. We were told that Home Depot has changed because military customers are using the discount for family and friends. This cuts to much into their profit. Sad!

2022-04-26This store is not a trusted store. Not ever receiving things that we paid for. Being charged twice for one thing. So with the next time we have it shipped to the store and its still missing thing in the Box whole roofing gun how do you forget to put a whole roofing gun in a box.

2022-05-15I am not going to be able to get my veterans discount anymore because I refuse to download personal information online for 10% off. Sorry, but not setting myself up to have my information stolen from a place that openly supported Trump.

2022-03-26The greeter was nice and friendly. However, HD has apparently rescinded the military discount for some items, according to the checkout associate, or so she guesses thats what the problem was. Very disappointed in Home Depot.

2022-03-25We had a special order of a few large heavy items for pickup. They were already on a push cart when we arrived and the employee helped us load the heavy items into our truck without us having to ask. Good place for customer service!

2022-03-22The store is organized in a bizarre way. Its almost impossible to find something without looking for it online first. Dont ask an employee where something is, they have absolutely NO IDEA.All of the endcap displays are covered in security bars. Nothing like shopping in a store that clearly has no trust in its customers.Home Depot is great, if youre an average person looking to do expensive projects at home yourself. But if youre a knowledgeable person that doesnt want to waste money on convenient diy kits youre out of luck. Home Depot is clearly not for professionals, contractors or skilled individuals.

2022-03-14Pretty friendly helpful people, had an order mishap, the manager went above and beyond to rectify it, our kids love going as they usually hand them a fun wood build project to take home, our son especially looks forward to them.
