The Kensington Grill in other cities:
Came here for lunch and was surprised it wasn’t busier. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful, and I’m not sure if the person who ran our food out was the manager or the chef, but he was very friendly and helpful as well. The food was delicious, and extremely filling. I had the pretzel bite appetizer, and pork sammy. The fries were a bit thicker than I usually like them, but crispier than I thought they’d be. All three of their sauces were good, but the Carolina style was hands down the best. The prices were good for a bbq restaurant, especially the lunch menu. Seems like it would be a good place to take a family as well.
They were seating patrons at 15 minute intervals, to give the cooks and the servers time to catch up. They are low on staff, like a lot of places. Ended up getting seated in the bar area which was fine, they have booths there too. The waitress was fantastic I wish we had gotten her name. BBQ was great, dinner salad was mediocre. I am not a big meat eater so when my husband gets a big platter of barbecued meats, I usually just get a salad, so I guess salad is not their main focus. Have been here several times, and will definitely go back. Good beer selection and nice atmosphere.
They food was fantastic, the Brisket Nachos were on point. There was plenty of BBQ Sauce to choose from. And I even got a round of Keno in. We went for lunch and they had specials going until 3. Burger toppings like bacon, brisket, pulled pork, or onion rings. Happy Fat and Full.
This place is great. My sister had the fish and chips and loved it. My daughter had the kids burger and it was really good. I had the veggie burger and it was delicious. This was our first time here and we will be repeat customers after today. The food is reasonably priced and the quality is excellent! Our waitress was top notch and very attentive too! Thank you Kensington Grill!
Stopped in while traveling - great decision! Friendly staff and delicious food. Highly recommend the pretzel bites as an appetizer. The brisket Ruben was one of the best I’ve had. Opted for the macaroni and cheese over fries (slight surcharge) - exceeded expectations. I’m guessing it’s the same as what is served in their macaroni and cheese dinner, which was a welcomed surprise. Friend had the KG Dip with Onion Rings. They had the best onion rings I’ve ever had. Good crispy, not overly greasy nor overcooked.Do yourself a favor and try KG if you’re in the area.
As a visitor from Kansas City Missouri, my expectations were set pretty high. And Kingstons Grill completely went above those expectations.I arrived at the tail end of happy hour, so I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea. Other bars I have been to in the area made some sort of cheap long island, with only one or two liquors and lemonade. Kensington did it right, lots of booze and a splash of cola. 5/5True Cue Sampler which included a choice of two proteins, two sides and cornbread. I ordered pork, brisket, garlic mashed potatoes and barbeque beans.I ended up receiving chicken wings instead of the pork I ordered, but boy was it the best mistake to ever happen. The wings were smoked, and tender as all get-out. The brisket fell apart with the gentlest touch of my fork. The potatoes were obviously homemade, with lots of love (butter ;) ). The beans were okay, nothing to write home about. They have 3 house barbeque sauces on every table, they were all great but the mustard-based one was amazing. 5/5The only place I would recommend improvement would be service. The host was somewhat unprofessional in appearance. My waitress was also the bartender, which had its positives! But she had 6ish guests at the bar, and 8 full tables she was waiting on, which slowed the service of everyone in her section. 4/5
When we arrived place empty but had a line waiting for hostesses when finaly seated long wait for service. Went to order had some menu questions waitress was vegan. This is a bbq restaurant. When food served went to grab bbq sauce bottles they were grouse stickey with fingerprints on them asked to get cleaned they sent bus girl over only wiped bottom of bottle not top fingerprints still on top. Got food which was ok but by then to disappointed. Waitress never asked in empty restaurant if we wanted refills for drink. Then when she did come by to drop off bill after 15 minute she said nothing. We waited another 15 minutes in empty restaurant to have bill picked up and tabbed out. Will not go back.Smoke Street in Milford far better service and better menu. Once again food not bad but not worth the service hastle. May be a COVID employment issue but still not good. We wont go back
Great staff. Great Burgers & pulled pork sandwiches. Great sweet potato fries & zucchini fries. So far they always manage to get my burger well done with out charing it beyond recognition -always a plus! We love those items so much we havent tried anything else yet. We will though! It helps that it is only about 8 minutes from our house & right across the parking lots from Lowes & Walmart- two places that always leave me tired, hungry, & not wanting to cook anything that will add heat to the house!👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Ordered take out website was down because they were so busy I called in to place the carryout and was told they needed time to catch up before taking anymore orders. They said they would call me back and actually did which was great.Great food and portions were good too
The Brisket tasted the best to me with the chicken coming in 2nd, Pork was my least favorite and I havent tried the ribs yet. I like the corn muffins but not sure how I feel about the spread they put on top. I liked it better with regular butter. The beans are good even cold the next day they have a kick. The broccoli was alright!
Hands down some of the best chili 😋I have ever had. The atmosphere of this restaurant is the most excellent. Hands down some of the best service I have ever encountered. I highly recommend this place. Definitely go in hungry or you will be sorry. Cant wait to try more things off the menu.
Weve never been here before and the decor was done very very well. with a limited menu during the covid-19 pandemic...they knocked it out of the park with what theyve chosen.. I had the burger and my husband had the pork tacos both of us kept raving to server how great the meal was...what was really sad was just the fact that this beautiful restaurant is mostly empty it on a Saturday afternoon it seems people dont feel comfortable going out still. We really really enjoyed our meal and we will most definitely be back.!!!
Weve been here numerous times before and its been a go-to for us when craving BBQ. We havent been able to go or order from here recently, not only due to dining restrictions, but because they decided to temporarily fully close. Do what you need to do, but dont be surprised or upset if/when the customers dont come back. We would have liked to have ordered from you during carryout only, but couldnt. Now that youre back at limited capacity, you refuse requests for reasonable accommodations. If it were up to me, all restrictions would be lifted and we would dine in with you, as is our preference. But at 25% capacity and as a family of four with two small children, carryout is our best option. Unfortunately, there are fewer restaurants to choose from these days, but still plenty for us to have any number of other options where we can give our business and we will choose to go elsewhere.
The smoked wings I had as an entree (it is actually listed as an app), were amazing! Pulled pork BBQban was a little dry, but still had had great flavor. Caribbean Sunset drink was amazing. Service was a tad slow even for how dead it was, but definitely not bad. Would recommend to check it out.
The bottom line here is that if you like BBQ you will probably love this place because thats what its all about and what its good if not best at. Other than that, the dining area is rustic but spacious and clean, as are the bathrooms, and the bar area is cozy. Service is a little hit and miss, but overall good. Parking is plentiful and close. Good selection of good beer a tad pricey but getting the 20oz servings helps with that. The experience at the Kensington Grill isnt something youre going to remember for the rest of your life, but its different enough to leave a positive memory and is a reasonably solid bang for the buck.
Driving home from a Tigers game we stopped of to get some food at Applebees. With the Applebees being closed we walked across the parking lot and decided to eat here, and boy are we glad we did. The food was delicious, the staff is super friendly and prompt, and we really enjoyed our experience. If we didnt live so far away we would make this a regular place for us. Highly recommend!!
Went back last night for first time in a year. We ordered the pretzel bite appetizer and our waitress proceeded to tell us we could buy the same ones at Walmart and then walked away to put the order in. She was not wrong about those. My BBQ combo came - brisket was rubbery and color of a well done steak. Couldn’t even finish it. They also have no BBQ sauce options and sent out one small cup of a house sauce which tasted like Open Pit with a drip of liquid smoke, and was not good. Coleslaw was store bought, and the Mac n cheese seemed the same. Was highly disappointed and will not be going back. They clearly sacrificed fresh and real BBQ for prepared foods they put on a plate for you. Hate to write this review as we used to love the place, but it is honest.
I walked in with my visually impaired mother and stood at the host stand finally after a few minutes a guy walked up and grab 2 menus and was going to place us in a booth that you had to step up in. I asked to sit at a regular table, which was fine. No one ever came back, no water nothing so we left.... The restaurant was empty
Stopped in here for a quick lunch/work meeting. The place itself is rather large, and it definitely does get quite busy during lunch hours. Its clean, and the staff is attentive and friendly. There does seem to be quite a draft beer selection though I did not personally partake in drinking any during this visit. The food here seems quite generic, and in my own personal opinion is nothing to write home about. It was perfectly fine, but nothing on the menu stood out as something I would order over another. Most of what is on the menu seems to be generic bar type food, and thats fine if that is what the goal was.Though this is a nice place overall, nothing in particular stood out that would keep me regularly coming back here. I dont think you will be disappointed, but I also dont think you will be impressed either.
Since its a new place to me i kept it really simple.i ordered a half nacho..completely nasty.chips were smothered in so much gross squeeze cheese all of the chips were extremely soggy. tons of lettuce and tomatoes and for extra i added meat, barely got any.and of course their website wont let you submit your review.
Great food and updated atmosphere.Really wanted to give 5 stars because I know I plan on coming back in the future, but my service was not that good.I was here on business lunch meeting, and waited 15 minutes after sitting before waitress arrived. Wednesday lunch took 1 hour 30 minutes......thats a bit long regardless.Good work Kensington, see you in the future.
The food here is average. My burger was good, but not particularly outstanding. The lettuce that was served on my burger was too thick, and was overpowering when I took a bite. The sauces they have on offer, however, are fantastic and very flavorful. My server was very friendly and enthusiastic.
Been coming here for years, but my most recent experience didnt meet my expectation. The pretzel bites and bar cheese appetizer was pretty small for the price. The french fries side to my entree were a pretty small portion as well. Our server seemed somewhat bothered that we were there. Overall, one of the least enjoyable experiences weve had here. We wont totally write this place off yet, but we will probably look for somewhere else to check out next time were in the area.
Went here two times the this past week and enjoyed it very much! Once with one other person, another time with 13.Place: The atmosphere was calm, no loud music, and the set up was spacious. The waiters were knowledgeable and helpful. They were attentive too. The place was clean.Food: The pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches are great - they dont put any sauce on it before so you get to choose from the options on the table which youd like to use. The nachos were great with chicken (I suggest only that option, because I didnt like to brisket - too fatty for nachos).Overall, I really enjoyed my experience both times.
I was not impressed this time around. I have been there many times and they even catered my wedding. The food is amazing I will not critique that. That has been consistantly good but I was not impressed with service. It was busy, we got there at the beginning of dinner service but our waitress was very helpful when we had questions and I felt that she was getting irritated when we did questions. Not sure if she was having a bad day or if she was tired but she seemed irritable. But other than that it was a good experience.
I ordered take out for an event. We got the Family Fest of barbecue: pulled pork, ribs and smoked chicken with sides. The corn muffins were perfect, the Mac n cheese was just like Moms but with a kick and delish! As was the baked beans. The food was great. Not cheap but worth it.
We came in and requested a “warm seat.” We were then seated in the far booth in the corner by a cold window. The food was cold and very poor waitress not even a refill for our pops. The waitress passed by twice told us to have a good night without even our bill on the table. We then waited and waited and we requested our bill . Point of no return.
I had the brisket sandwich, and it was outstanding! It was some of the best brisket Ive had. It was thin, well aged, had a very nice texture, was not wet. I will be coming back again for this sandwich! I also had a side of onion rings, and they were just normal onion rings, nothing special.
Our family really enjoys Kensington Grill. We just got back from Nashville and honestly the bbq at Kensington is as good as there. The onion rings are awesome. The mac and cheese has just the right spice. The flavors of the pulled pork and brisket are great and the meat is high quality. We especially like the Carolina sauce. Tonight we tried the smoked chicken. It was moist and flavorful and we would definitely order again. It is busy for lunch and I wish more people would try it for dinner.
I originally had a 5 star here. Last night was my husbands birthday and we had a party of 6. Around 8pm we showed and stood at the front waiting for a host to seat us. The ladies at the bar and a waitress watched us waiting for about 4 minutes (felt like 10). Host never showed up so we walked over to Applebees where we were seated immediately.
My mom and I ate here not that long ago, and we were in love. The food is not only varied and scrumptious, but the portions were double-sized so we were able to have plenty of leftovers later. Our waiter was very friendly, temperature was comfortable, and I cannot wait to go back there for more.
A year ago this place was pretty good but the last three times Ive eaten here the quality has gone down dramatically. No more pink in the meat, portions cut back, the pulled pork looks like its been sitting in a tray all day drying out. Wanted to give my money to the local eatery but I dont think Ill be back. The wait staff are fine and the beer is good but the food not so much.
The food was excellent. Had the sirloin burger which was cooked perfectly and the fries were outstanding. Our waitress I would say was a C+ where as she did not follow-up when our drinks ran low but was totally redeemed by I guess you could say; a floor supervisor who refilled our drinks and cashed us out.A very pleasant atmosphere with the Christmas tree and all. Would for sure dine here again.
BBQ restaurants are one of my favorites and I have been meaning to stop by here for months. Seemed like a really good variety on the menu both for drinks and food. I went with the pulled pork entree with beans and broccoli for sides. The food was great! The desserts sounded good but I could not eat any more. Next time...
Its clean and all right , but theres a minimal selection of items on the menu .Since Im more of a vegetarian , it is very limited with its variety of meals .My partner likes brisket, so he ordered barbequed brisket which seemed to be just Ok . It was the end of the day after a car cruise at Bakers in Milford .The restaurant has great potential , so maybe , post covid it will improve , hope so ...
Nice place to have dinner with friends. We had a group of four and we all appreciated the casual atmosphere. They offered a decent amount of options on the menu that were reasonably priced. Our waitress deserved 5 stars as well, very courteous! I definitely would consider eating here again.
The food was pretty great and the portions were nice, especially for the prices! Some menu items are better for sharing unless youre starving. The menu has a great variety to it while maintaining a cohesive theme. My only issue was with the staff. We went to the restaurant for lunch, on what was a very slow Tuesday. We waited by the hosts podium for about 10 minutes but no one came to seat us so we had to find a waiter and ask him for a table. He chuckled and explained that sometimes our seating hostess wanders as if thats an excuse? Im hoping management has taught the staff to be more professional.
Went with a friend. Had the BEST BBQ! All the food is fresh, they smoke the meats out back (locked, I asked) Someone said the menu was limited, well, they are limited to BBQ, burgers, soup, appetizers, seafood, salads, etc. But that IS what they are! Great waitperson, the best sweet spud fries, and really flavorful veggies. The decor is fun and comfortable. I want to tell everyone AND take all my friends to try it.6-2016 have been back twice since not near as happy portion size has gone down and it seems like the prices went up just a tad
Waitress was told baked fish plain no seasoning notta thing added. She said only broil, but good golly seemed take 4ever get fish and some1 doesnt listen n seasoned it. Likely never going back. Owner doesnt seem think his staff is anything other honest and nice, well he btr wake up.
Always great BBQ. One of the better around...up there with slows for sure.Edited review...was at 5 star. Bad experiences during covid and even after dining is opened back up.I think they’re struggling for workers and the food has seemed “leftover” on a couple occasions now. Will wait a while and give it a try again in a few months.
Service was nice* (everyone was polite and courteous). Food was okay (the broccoli was spot on, the baked beans were flavorful, the meat was dry and plain). Drinks were meh (mixed drinks were not worth finishing). *The bench seats were dirty when the hostess tried to seat us. Once they were wiped down the seats were visibly wet to the point of requiring multiple paper towels to dry them. Wont be going back.
Waited about 15 minutes before someone payed attention to take my order, the chicken said smoked and had no smoked flavor at all, it was basically grilled chicken and I had to add some sauce for flavor. I had to wait another 15 minutes for somebody to bring me the bill. The customer service of the lady in the entrance was not very good, she told me to wait then called me from the table instead of coming back to get me. The table was wet and the menu too.
Hate to give it a great review and ruin the secret but it really is a hidden gem. You wouldnt know it from the outside but the food is above what you would expect. Smokehouse food at a decent price. The brisket and pulled pork are great. Sides are up there with it. And the price is reasonable. Youd spend more at a chain and be left with average and this is definitely above average at a great price.
Overall most food was decent that we had, but some mediocre at best. Of what I tried: wings were tasty, mac and cheese was good, onion rings were big and on point, but baby back ribs were not good at all. Came out luke warm, dry but with lots of fat, poor flavor and not fall off the bone. Also thought they could have done better with their sauces, 2/3 were decent, 1 not great.
The mac and cheese was a huge disappointment. It looked good, but didnt have a hint of flavor or seasoning, other than a vague hot taste. The St. Louis ribs were by no means falling off the bone tender, as advertised. The baked beans were nothing to write home about. French Onion soup tasted like Lipton. However, the peanut butter pie dessert was excellent and the BBQ sauces were good. I would come here for dessert and perhaps try the chicken.
Portion size was small, especially compared to the price. Looking for a good salmon? Go to Applebees access the parking lot, youll get a better meal and a much better deal there. The carnivore burger was okay. I like my burgers to taste good on their own... This one entirely relied on the extras to make it taste good.Service was quite lacking. Server offered to get more crayon colors for my son (4 years old) came back with no crayons. Some was disappointed. When server was back, mentioned the crayons again. He went away and never came back with crayons. Asked for water for the table. Brought water for my wife and me, nothing for my son. Eventually the busboy brought water for my son. This is a Bar & Grill and I get my margarita in the same glass as my water? Really? The waiter seemed to be trying to be friendly and nice, unfortunately it was so forced that it was almost all we talked about while dining there. We will not be going back.
Dont bother with Applebees next door, go here. Standard American Grill fair with extra BBQ options. Very affordable. Meal options for large groups are a plus. Didnt try any of their drinks, but the beer list looked solid. Good quality food, good service, good for groups.
You can usually get in quickly here any day of the week and the service is good. The bbq is not the best around, but even average bbq is tasty and its priced well. You get a lot of food for the price. I also like that they dont try to overwhelm you with sauces. They have three, a mild, a hot and a mustard one. All three are well balanced and good though the hot is my favorite. Ive never had the salad but my wife and a lot of people I know love the salads here.My favorite dish, which they do incredibly well, is the smoked wings. They have delicious smokey flavor and then they fry them so theyre still crispy. Theyre way better than any chain restaurant wings. Their fries are awesome, beer battered goodness, and they have a blue cheese chips appetizer which is excellent as well. All the beer is reasonably priced too.If your kids are picky eaters they have kraft mac and cheese in addition to their house made stuff.
Their cheeseburgers are tremendous! Great service consistently and great tasting French fries. The fam enjoys the brisket very much. Top notch restaurant with the most consistentlyconsistentlyhat Ive ever had. 6/5 Stars. On top of everything, they top it off with Andes Mints. Really a great touch
So flabbergasted.... The food was wonderful. But the service is anything but. Came in at 630 pm sat and sat in the lounge area. Took almost 10 minutes for our waitress, a fifty something lady with long straight hair to get to us.I think she was the bartender too. We enjoyed the pretzels, and the ribs were Dee licious. But the dishes and bones stayed on the table, i never got offered refills on my beer. I know its busy, but its maddening when when server is giving laughing away with other customers when your kid needs a refill. Then we had a coupon, and i kid you not, it took another 8 minutes to cash us out. We wont be back-well maybe a carry out. The servers name was Cherry(sp?) I think
Ive only been here for lunch once, but there was nothing about the experience that would keep me from coming back. The waitstaff was friendly, the ambiance was nice and the food was good. I didnt have any of their barbecue (just a salad, curse my diet!) but one of my co-workers had the brisket platter and it looked delicious!
Absolutely phenomenal! We had the pulled pork entree with a side of house chili and the KG sandwich (rendition of a french dip) along with the french onion soup. We finished with a slice of peanut butter cup pie/cheesecake. Everything was fresh, delicious, and plated beautifully. The care that went into these dishes was clear from the skillfully seasoned au jus to the perfectly executed french onion soup (if you like Applebees version - brace yourself to be blown away by Kensingtons) Our server Ashley was super friendly and helpful with making suggestions and answering our various questions about different dishes. (Yes, there was a picky eater among us... lol) This is now one of our favorite spots and we will definitely be back! Thanks for a great experience Ashley!
I had ate here twice first time I was being helped by the chef. He had ran us our food and took our order. Even though he was nice and taking our food orders I was upset not to have a real server and I still had left 20%. The secound time I was food poisoned and had a 24hr sickness that I would never wish how I felt after i left on my worst enemy. My food was cold and than i got charged for slaw when it came with my meal. Like the atmosphere but wont be back.
Ive probably been here four or five times but most recently went here on Sunday night and sat in the bar with my friend and his son. The bartender was slammed so Ill give her a break on the service but the food was excellent! I got the smoked chicken sandwich with mac and cheese and would order both again in a heartbeat
Suprisingly good food (Im just bitter that they closed down the Chilis and built this instead). The closest barbecue to where we live, the service employees are helpful and cheerful, which is always nice. I recommend the appetizers, they are all good. Also - people at my work rave about the salads!
Everything about this restaurant draws you in from the smell of the food to the rustic decorations, to the hospitality of the staff. I love eating here time and time again because the food just seems to keep getting better. They are always trying new things with there food and adding specials all the time to keep it interesting. My favorite thing there is the chilly I am generally not a fan of chilly but I gave it a try because my mother said it was different than most places and I generally hate any spicy foods so when I tried this I was shocked at how much I liked it. Every time I go I make sure to get a crock of chilly with extra cheese. I also highly recommend the carnivore burger if you are a meat lover you will thank me in the end.
Not necessarily a true barbeque joint if youre expecting Southern or Texas style barbecue, but considering the location, price and quality of food, its hard to beat KG in the Western suburbs of Detroit. Service staff is friendly and typically prompt. Personally, never had a bad experience, either with dine in or take out.
Stopped in Thursday evening 7:30pm. Got seated and handed menus right away. Waited 10 minutes by my phone (timed it)... nobody asked us for drinks or food order. The service staff was running around frantic from table to table. We walked out.Nobody even noticed we were there or left. Not the staff fault. This is poor management. Not enough staff for the number of customers. The last 2 times we are there it took 2 hours to get food and finish.Do not eat at Kensington BBQ & Grill unless you have a few hours to kill.
This is a meeting spot because of a halfway point between two friends. Couldnt have lucked out with a better location, choosing it blindly the 1st time but coming back again & again. Good bbq, great beer selection and their chipotle bean burger is fantastic! Ive only had the brisket once when it was kind of fatty other than that great experiences. Service is right on par as well as ample parking. Why anyone would choose Applebees, which is right next door, is beyond me!
Love it here!!! I work here and honestly can say I LOVE IT. I have worked there since day one ! We have grown a tremendous amount. I am proud of what we became . We give our 100 percent on a daily basis. If you experienced something you didnt like let us know we will fix it! Give us a second chance . We are a Smokehouse but have other great options. Cold craft beers, full bar , awesome happy hour, awesome staff , fantastic food, 7 large flat screen tvs and go above and beyond to make our guest leave happy and come back in! Come visit us at Quality Smokehouse The KENSINGTON GRILL!
Want to know how bad the service was? I ordered 2 appetizers and the rest of my group ordered meals. My appetizers came out LAST. Not last as in it came out with the other food and was the last to be placed. Last as in the waitress finished dropping off everyone elses food, went back for about 5 minutes and then came out with my appetizers. And this was the second bad experience out of 2 trips. Not going back, not worth the money.
Im kinda a Bbq snob and was very surprised at how good their ribs were. I had the baby back ribs, brisket and mac n cheese. It was some of the best smoked meat Ive ever had and I am pretty picky when it comes to Bbq. There sauces were decent but the meat didnt require any. Most Bbq places mac n cheese and it is usually just ok, but the stuff here was fantastic. If I was tall enough to reach the ceiling with my fork the cheese would have strung all the way up there. The drinks were priced very well and they had a good selection of local beer.
Portion size adequate... waitress there was an older server and really bad server by the end of the night I had at least 20 cups on my table and plates everywhere and the place was not even a quarter full so topic of discussion the whole night was pretty much am I even being served.. most likely not to return.
This is definitely a gem of New Hudson. I got the pulled pork and my wife got the portabello burger, and both of them were fantastic. Their sweet potato fries are some of the better ones Ive had too, very crispy and sweet. They have a pretty decent beer selection too, with a handful of microbrews. Oh, and we also got the blue cheese chips, which was a pretty unique and delicious appetizer. I definitely plan on coming back here frequently.
Horrible experience last night due to waitress. She couldn’t get the bills correct then had an attitude to us that the bills were wrong and that that we told her they continued to be incorrect 4 times she attempted to bring different billls to the table not bothering to review them herself Then She nearly yanked credit card and bill from my hand as she questioned very rudely “is it still wrong”. I still believe we were over charged but after 4 different bills I gave up. Her attitude was undeserving as it was her fault. I will not return and suggest the sane from my friends and family
I had a grilled chicken sandwich with fries and my husband had a brisket sandwich with seasonal vegetables. My grilled chicken tasted like it came from the freezer, got microwaved and slapped on a bun. It was so hot I could barely eat it. The fries tasted like they were leftover from the night before and reheated. Also, now I love salt, but it was so salty I couldnt even finish them. My husband said his sandwich was okay but he had higher hopes. The seasonal vegetables were extremely hot and seemed to be microwaved as well. The service was alright, the waitress was nice. My husband did have to kill a spider at the table...eww.
I ordered a full slab of ribs with two sides of onion rings the onion rings were hot which was really good the ribs were cold they heated a up so I ate two ribs out of that I gave the rest to my two kids I was not impressed my kids like their meals though but I dont think it was worth $65 for three of us to eat

2022-02-24Weve ordered through door dash and visited for the first time today. We thoroughly love this place. Everything we have gotten has been homey, delicious, and a great value. When we ordered via DD, they gave us literally 20 sauces and while I did order extra, they really meant extra. We use the excess to dip everything in. Im also pretty sure the Bleu cheese dressing is the best Ive ever had. The ribs in the family combo meal were a huge portion and had great seasoning/sauce, the pork and brisket were moist and delicious. For our in-person visit, I had the Michigan salad, brisket entree, and fried pickles to start. The salad was absolutely LOADED with alllll the good stuff. The brisket was thick cut and moist af. The pickles were a huge portion and the kids mac was perfect for our 3yo.

2022-06-08The consensus from our group of 8 is that the battered and fried chicken strips is the winner here. The other items were good but the chicken strips stood out for best tasting.

2022-06-25We have been here before and have had great experiences however today was a bust. Three groups of people containing only 2 people in a group where there when we arrived after waiting three minutes to be sat (which is fine) we were given our menus water and coke. At the begining of the experience we both explaimed to our waitress that were were excited for the bread pudding! We ordered the same thing and apparently we were not clear enough when we asked for fries 4 times. When out food arrived we had chips. The manager (I assume) saw the look of disappointment and put in an order for fries (thank you) after 15 minutes no fries. The waitress finally came back and said oh no fries to which we said please dont bother at this point all the other food was gone. She wouldnt hear of it and grabbed the fries that had been sitting there. We waited for 15 minutes for her to come back and at this point we had to go because we had an appointment. No bread pudding. Very upsetting as the waitress spent the entire time talking to the couple at the bar and had to be waves over to the other table to even give them a refill. Very unhappy about our service today. However the food is still okay.

2020-10-15I was on assignment to shoot some menu items for Doordash. Mr. Mitra, the owner was friendly and so was his pretty manager Holly. As you can see from the pictures, this food is top notch.I had the opportunity to devour the ribs and smoked wings. DELISH!!!This place has it together. They pride themselves on being efficient, clean and friendly. You will never be disappointed with this wonderful establishment. By the way, all smoked meats are amazing!

2022-03-04Food quality was overall - ok. One of our sandwiches were (brisket sandwich) was served cold. We had a table of 8, 4 of which were children. Service on Thursday @ 6pm was relatively slow; as we noticed our server was the bartender as well. The kids got quite fidgety as we waited what seemed to be a long time (43 minutes from order to table service).

2022-06-16Pretty good chicken tenders, the BBQ is meh, bagged salad that cost $13.49 for a plate of wilted lettuce, servers were ok. Problem with the soda dispenser having crossed tanks, never got corrected, still got charged for a coke that wasnt a coke and wasnt consumed. Overall overpriced for the quality.
