Comment: It is very pricey, and they charge $18.00 to park on their property. Note that it is $18 per vehicle. It used to be free. Most rooms are big and look clean but definitely need renovations. There are too many unshelther individuals in the area, which makes the area look dirty and unsafe. They leave there in the parking lots. However, the hotel has a security that goes around vehicles. There are two restaurants that you can walk to from the hotel, one is Horacios and the other El Torito. There are also golf courts and of course you can walk around the Marina by the water. It gets cool once the sun goes down. Also, they hold $100 at registration, so if your room is $200, youll end up paying $300+18(per car)+taxes. So when I tell you it is very pricey, it is! The beds are very old and uncomfortable.

Comment: My 71 year old mother booked a cross-country, vacation, train ride to this place. With a name like Marina Inn on the Bay she was hoping to have a room with a view of the bay, as advertised. Instead, she had a nice view of the parking lot. Not only did they not give her a nice room, but they also did not help her with her bags to her room all the way down at the end of the hall on the 2nd floor. So they had my 71 year-old mother carry her own bags all the way to her room. She called me when she finally got into her room. She was completely out of breath and was very upset when she paid for a room at a place called the Marina Inn on the Bay, expecting to see a beautiful view of the bay, and opened her window to see a patking lot. 😓How does someone let a 71 year old woman, traveling alone, carry her own bags up to the 2nd floor, and all the way at the end of the hallway, by herself? What happen to respect for our elders?What is wrong with the management that this would be allowed to happen? Its a hotel on the bay. Shes a 71 year old tourist. Give her a room on the bay and carry her bags for her! 🤷‍♂️I will tell everyone about the horrible service that my mom received here. 👎

The building is visibly worn in places, but its well-maintained for a water front type property.Common spaces are cushy, clean, & expertly staged.The walk to a room can be lengthy & elevators slow. Comment: Got a room for my parents. Room is a little dated. But view was gorgeous, looking out to the Marina. Peaceful and friendly staff. The bedspread didn’t appear to have been changed though. Complimentary breakfast. $16 or $18 to park. $130 for the room and $50 deposit. Worthwhile.

Comment: They have cleaned up a lot. On this trip I was honestly surprised no broken car windows parking lot was clean. They are definitely working on keeping non guests out and makes guests feel safer about parking there. Rooms are clean and staff is always friendly.

Comment: I had an excellent experience here! Front desk folks Sylvia and Jehan were kind, patient, and super helpful! My rooms temperature control unit had run out of batteries and they immediately put me in the room next door. I also forgot the WiFi password even though I was clearly told and I had to go back up to the front desk to ask. They were both so professional!Also, the rooms and bathrooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained! Breakfast is really nice with lots of options and is open early and late. WiFi works well. I feel like I got a great value for what I paid. The rooms also have a double lock. No complaints whatsoever!!

Comment: Excellent rooms for the price point. The view of the bay is beautiful and there are a lot of amenities. The low ranking is because cell phone coverage is extremely poor and it extremely sporadic for Android devices with AT&T My spouses iphone worked a bit better but only iphone to iphone. Its not the fault of the hotel, but i felt unsafefor personal or business travel. They did not provide full refund for the nights remaining. Not fair.

Unfortunately the neighbors were loud; we could hear every time they closed their doors. Comment: I had planned to stay at a local hotel to beat the heat and enjoy the weekend by the Marina, which I have spent many good times at as I grew up in the Bay Area and even remember my mother speaking fondly about staying at the Marina hotel from time to time. While all of the guest and amenities were great, it was unfortunately overshadowed by an overwhelming rude woman at the front desk who wears glasses. I had recently been victim to a rental scam and was awaiting a new credit card, the woman refused to take any of my cash funds nearly $500 as a deposit while the room itself only cost a little over $100 for the night, in addition to this as opposed to letting my mother who has trouble walking pay with her card over phone, I had to drive to my mothers home transport her to the hotel to pay in person with an ID then return her to her home. My mother nor I received an apology, any offers of compensation, or courtesy. I can understand having a policy of needing to put a credit card on file, but I could not imagine that all guests were treated this way, is so I dont any of the room would be reserved ever. While I have stayed at many hotels in my life, I have never been treated so rudely and with such disrespect, disregard, and what I potentially believe was racism. While the hotel is great in so many ways, and nearly everything else is wonderful, I will never again stay at a place with such abhorrent customer service.

The room is clean, the bed is comfortable and the shower is nice and clean, plenty of towels and beach towels, lots of storage place. The room has a charm, the style is perfect with the surroundings. There is a fridge and a microwave, Walmart is only 7 minutes drive away and there’s some nice restaurants close by. The walk around the bay is beautiful.For those who are complaining about paying for parking: the booking system never says it’s free parking. At the moment it’s 18$ per night but it’s not easy to find free parking anywhere around.

Comment: The staff were extremely helpful, effecient, and kind. I came in after midnight and had trouble with my credit card. The concierge was very kind and patient. Whoever is in charge of raises should give her one.The continental breakfast, was your typical waffles, fruit, yogurt, vagels, juice, milk, etc. Ita would have been nice to have some hash browns but it was complimentary.There are restaurants nearby if you want to go out to eat or you can order UberEats or DoorDash. May order came right to my room. It was so efficient and helpful. Didnt tray the gym or pool. The area around had nice places to take walks.One downside is because it is a little out of way, there isnt much for shopping. Since Im not a shopper this wasnt a bother to me.I would definitely stay here again.

No hot food at breakfast, only breads, cereal and some fruit. Only 3 bikes total for the entire hotel (AKA very difficult to find availability) so their advertisement about bike rental is kind of a disappointment.

Comment: My husband and I drive over the road and our truck needed some repairs. While truck in shop this hotel was recommended to us. Now lets begin with we stay in hotels all over USA. Usually 3 star and up because when off the truck a nice soft comfortable hotel bed is a plus along with truck parking and safe area of course.The Matiana Inn was phenomenal. From the moment you walk through the front doors the smell of fresh cookies is captivating. The cleaninesd and pleasant hotel staff is inviting. This hotel was clean and smelled amazing. Most rooms we stay in around the tub floor is dirt and black fifth. Floors dirty, cabinets dirty, but our room and bathroom was spotless. Its quiet and we had a wonderful stay.Plenty of truck and trailer parking.

Comment: I attended an event that was held here in the Marina West Room. There was plenty of parking. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. This is a cute little hotel. I believe Horatios restaurant is next door.Dinner was provided to the 10 attendees in the form of box a lunch. All of the sandwiches were delicious (these were not your standard box lunch sandwiches). With the sandwich selection, you get a cookie, and a choice of a piece of fruit or chips.I would host an event here.

Comment: This place is a dump with semi-fresh paint. The room I stayed in had a funky odor. I woke up with my sinuses clogged. After noticing the odor was coming from the heat/ac wall unit, I pulled the filter. It was clear, but the area behind it was loaded with lint, fur, and other debris. They seem to think Lysol spray is a substitute for cleaning. Bring a gas mask if you plan to take your chances in this house of horrors.

Comment: Walking in, it’s a beautiful motel. When you get to the room, it’s a different setting. Mattress is a bit hard, room is very yellow which makes it feel like a dungeon. No outlets except on the desk, can’t connect anything to the TV (I bring a Roku with me while traveling). The shower is a tight squeeze, you have to shower sideways in order to bend elbows and wash your hair.However, the staff are super awesome.

Comment: The prices you’re quoted don’t include the $15/nt parking fee (going up to $24 after the new year 2023). I stay in hotels a lot for work (200+nights a year) and I’m disappointed in this one. Breakfast is disgusting. Cheap, hard boiled eggs. Oatmeal. Cold pastries. The view should outweigh the bad, but I feel sick after the food. Will be moving on to another place sooner than I planned. It’s a 1.5 star hotel. That’s what you’ll get. Stay one night, plan to get breakfast anywhere else, then move on.

Comment: I stayed at the Marina Inn for the second time in an year a week ago and I keep coming back for a reason. My first time was fantastic but the second time made me want to do something that I NEVER do - write a review. Not only is the Inn situated in a great location (minutes away from the airport and right on the bay) but the low prices for the great quality is truly killer. The true superstars at this Inn, however, are the AMAZING staff. Both Jennifer and Victoria went above and beyond in their service of us during our stay 10/28 to 10/31. These two impressive ladies are undeniably assets to the Inn and I cannot encourage a raise/promotion for them enough. Thank you Marina Inn and your wonderful staff! I will be coming back a third time!!

Comment: 12:30 AM at the United Airlines desk in San Francisco Airport on 20 September 2022: Our United Airlines flight from Atlanta had arrived over 2 hours late due to aircraft problems which caused us to miss our connecting flight back home to Sydney Australia. There we were, a couple in our sixties, exhausted from being awake nearly 24 hours, presented with a choice of three hotels without a clue of where they were, and The Marina Inn was listed as being 12 miles away with an airport shuttle service the next day. Right we said, well go there. The Uber driver that picked us up quickly set us straight that this place is closer to 30 miles away from SFO airport!! When we finally arrived nearly an hour later at around 2 AM, the airport shuttle turned out to be to Oakland Airport only!!! At least the staff at the Marina Inn were kind and welcoming. The room was dated/retro? but clean and the cold breakfast was good enough. Tried the crab and artichoke appetizer at nearby Horatios for lunch as recommended by the receptionist with the voucher she gave us and agree with her that it was fantastic. So we made lemonade from lemons!

Comment: Very nice hotel, great view over the bay (book a king room with balcony!) super friendly and helpful staff. Our luggage did not make it on time from our connection flight and one suitcase only arrived at the hotel the day after we had left for Hawai‘i already. The hotel staff kindly kept the suitcase for two weeks so we could pick it up after we returned. Breakfast was good and enough choices so everyone will find something they like. The walls and ceilings are not very soundproof so you’ll hear your room neighbors watch tv or people stomping up and down the hallway but we got used to that in US hotels so it’s not an issue if you’re prepared for that :)Overall great experience and good price-quality ratio. Would definitely come back!

Comment: A fun staycation that we frequently visited during the pandemic to get away from home. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I always reccomend getting a room with a view of the Marina. There is a couple of restuarants by the hotel but if you are a night owl like me, having food delivered to the inn is not an issue. Nearby is a park and the city of San Francisco is visible across the water as well a view of planes taking off and landing at the nearby airport. The walls are on the thinner side but most people stay quiet after it gets late. Overall a pleasant stay.

Temperature problems with the water. Screen door would not close because the frame was bent which allowed for a 1 inch gap for any bugs to enter the room. While its on the marina and some smells are to be expected please be aware that the room pictures online misrepresent what you get for the money. I feel that the price of the room should be $100.00 less because of my experience. I hope this helps someone choose a good hotel if your just visiting to see the redwoods or the golden gate bridge.

Comment: What I can say is that they went out of their way to pick us up after hours with the shuttle van. Van service is up to 7pm. The room was nice sized and the furniture looked good. The bathroom had a good sized shower. The problem for us was that bed was too hard and the same with the pillows. The breakfast could have been better, too! We were expecting a view of the marina, but it was of the parking lot. The marina was within viewing when you are outside. Based on what you want, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Comment: My friend was in town for business and this is where he was put up for the week. The towels smell like metal, the furniture is old the fake headboard is something youd see in a Motel 6 or like the worse place in a movie. Yes, seeing the water is beautiful but it looks like an old abandoned marina. There homeless living along the trail, there are weeds and plenty of dead grass, bushes and trees. There were several lone people sitting in their cars throughout the parking area. It wouldnt be safe to walk alone at night and I didnt feel safe walking during the day. The surrounding area is also very unkept. Youd think the owner of this place would either take matters into their own hands by doing a neighborhood cleanup or ask the city to do something. It was quite embarrassing and I am not even from here. My friend is from PA and I am from the Central San Joaquin Valley. Housekeeping were very nice and efficient. The shower was a walk-in shower which was nice to see instead of the tub. The balcony we had overlooked the pool. I was hoping to enjoy sitting and seeing the planes come in at night but for short people like me all you see is the pool because there is this piece of wood that covers the view, so I had to either stand up or sink down in my chair. Also, about the free breakfast most places have some scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage, here they had waffles, bagels, pastries, bread for toast and the English muffin and there was a dead fly on the window sill in the dining area.

We explained that we needed to pay online or by phone after our employees credit card was rejected at check in. The reservation was for several weeks. He said there was nothing he could do. We let him know we were very disappointed and he didnt offer a solution nor did he apologize. We booked at Best Western instead @$800 a week. Comment: I was excited to find what I believed to be a nice, clean stay in relative close distance to the airport w/marina views.The disappointment began when I walked thru the door. Two workers at the desk ignored me standing there for about 5 minutes not even a hello! I was the only person there 9pm @ night. I began check in, I asked if an upgrade would be available. Was told no that they were at full occupancy.When I got to the room the Air/heat didnt work @12:30 it was 77 in the room I was paying to not sleep and sweat. Then the call desk the nightshift worker (someone new, not from earlier) came to the room to try and fix the air. No luck.Switched me to a different room, much cleaner, view of the Marina. It was like a different hotel completely.Im not sure if I was being discriminated against or why this room wasnt an option for me earlier?BUGS!!!!! The State of California needs to do a check on this establishment!!! (Now covered with bites up and down my legs, stomach, and back). Like black mites when I pulled the sheet between the mattress in the morning.PICTURE INCLUDED.No air conditioning or Heat worked in the room. No water pressure, shower was a trickle at most.The breakfast was dry almost stale pastry with hard boiled eggs. (Boiled eggs where delicious).I booked on Booking.com for this one and will be letting them know as well. I just dont want anyone to experience a night like I had and have to pay to suffer.

Unfortunately we had some people above us who started banging around around 3:00 am so I got very little sleep. And there was water running somewhere over and over and over also in the early morning hours. I could hear it all through my ear plugs. We requested the top floor in our reservation but were not granted our request. And just a warning, the day we left the hotel was going to start charging $10 per night to park your car. Overall the hotel was fine, just noisy. For that reason I cannot recommend it unless you’re a heavy sleeper.

Comment: I stayed here for almost 3 weeks. It was a pretty good experience overall. Some of the front desk staff were friendly and warm, while others werent so much. The rooms are above average, but not awesome. I witnessed a car being broken into while looking out my room window one afternoon and then went down to the lobby to report it and the manager asked me to call the police, rather than him calling them, which seemed very weird and off putting. They also rented the meeting room out to some sort of party with a DJ on a Saturday night, resulting in plenty of bass reverberating throughout the property until late evening. Breakfast has make-your-own waffles and toast, some pastries and such, boiled eggs, and not much else. The walls between the rooms arent the worst, but you can still hear the TV and voices in adjacent rooms. While the property is directly on the water, the marina is in a state of disrepair and the area is not the best place for walking around after dark. Its fine and even quite pleasant during the day, though. The main thing going for it is the overall value - its one of the best priced places in the area that is actually decent. Ill stay here again if I want to save a few bucks over some of the other places in the area.

Comment: Nice location. There’s a nice trail around the bay. There’s a heated pool, jacuzzi, fitness center, a very comfortable bed, nice shower, and a great breakfast. The waffles have all the fixings, strawberries, whipped cream, almonds or syrup and butter. The coffee is good and there’s grapefruit, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, pastries, or eggs if you don’t want a waffle. We have been staying in hotels for weeks in the Bay Area, this one is the most comfortable. The WiFi password changes a lot so make sure to ask front desk of it doesn’t work.If you stay on a Wednesday they have an awesome reception at night, there’s a really sweet manager, she does the reception, her charcuterie board was really on point. Three weeks of hotels and this was the best one.

Hotel is near the water; we had a wonderful view from our room of boats docked and I enjoyed watching people walk by and those with pets.Room had a queen, leaving plenty of room to do my morning stretches. The biggest issue is that the toilet is literally in between two walls, with no room to move your legs. If youre plus-size or otherwise need room to maneuver, you wont find it here. I literally went downstairs to use the lobby bathroom - if I I had been staying any longer than a night, I would have requested a new room.Other negatives: my window literally looked into the window of another room, and there were no outlets near the bed. They had a power strip at the desk, but didnt have any where people most often need them.Overall, this place was conveniently located and decently priced, but Id probably look elsewhere if I needed a hotel in the future.

Comment: Customer Service chatI stayed in this hotel one day under a one night reservation and then asked to extend it another day, at the end of my trip when checking out I asked about the security deposit which was charged twice one for each day because I chose to extend it,, which was fine.. but when asking about its refund I was told to hold tight a minute while the room was checked.....please note I had the room half way cleaned the first day, because I needed back in it I asked that they just change the bedding and leave clean towels, the maid did so quickly and I gave her a tip, nothing was said along the lines of any other cleaning. And they did not vacuum or clean anything else which I was OK with because the room was clean.after waiting for a maid to look over the room, I was told I would see the deposit or charge for incidentals back into my account, simply that it may take a day or two to show in my account, totally fine with me and Normal. So I was assuming I would see a refund for $200. However,much to my DiaDismay, 3 days later a $247.00 charge hits my account. No refund for the $100 (x2 for two nights) ever showed. Called hotel assuming it was a simple mistake. Which was not an easy task in itself, took me numerous inquiry calls, on the 4th one almost 2 full weeks after the stay, I asked for a management employee and was shocked to hear them tell me They charged my room a deep cleaning fee no other explanation at all, so I had to again wait for another manager to get back to me with any kind of actual info on this, when I do they said my room needed carpets shampood and deep cleaned because of its condition it was bad enough that they couldnt rent it out that day I checked out so they charged me what they lost out on the room (the rooms are not over 200 a night!) Now, dont get me wrong The carpets being clean is important yes, but should not have been done on my dime! I was walking around barefoot, my room was clean. I dont do anything but sleep and shower in hotels, I stay in numerous a month, and have never experienced this, I clean the room up for the maids before I check out and am a respectful guest, 90% of the time I am alone. Im not some teen having a party or a slob. I dont agree with this hotels choice and its actually insulting and obserd really. They didnt need to shampoo carpets or do anything out of the normal and if they did its because it was part of Normal room maintenance and shouldnt be at my expense because they decided to do it after my stay, I feel used, insulted and lied to, and have already put much more time then I have to deal with this. The staff has been rude, snappy and unhelpful. Very disappointed as this was not my first stay, Ive stayed here numerous times in the past, but with the staff changes apparently customer service is no longer a priority. I have been ripped off to put it plain and its not OK!

The only way to change these inept customer service people is to stop doing business with those companies. Her excuses were pathetic mumbo jumbo. However, if I were you I would take my business elsewhere. I can get the same standard size room for half the price! My bed was squeaky and my television did not work but thank god I dozed off right away as I was exhausted from my meeting. after I checked out as I was driving home I started to itch all over my body I thought nothing of it but two days after I got home I got confirmation from my friend who is a nurse & her husband who is a doctor that I had been bitten by bedbugs. Since this was booked through Expedia a third-party app I reached out to them, the contacted the hotel and the manager refused to give me even a partial refund. Don’t stay here unless you want bed bug bites. I have been traveling for years never experience a bedbug situation. I will never stay here again. The hotel claims that they checked the room and that there is no bedbugs I didn’t stay at any other hotel during my stay. This place is a $hit hole don’t stay here!

Comment: The front desk staff were amazing. Cookie at night, breakfast in the morning that goes until 10:30 am. Parking is free and the parking lot is clean and super easy close access. Hotel checkout is 12noon. Room is clean, beautiful shower. There is a marina and tiny park area behind the hotel thats fun to walk around with a while bunch of little squirrels everywhere! Comment: Stayed on August 13-15, have stayed on 2 other occasions and both other times were decent. We returned because we like the location but had an awful 3rd stay, firstly we paid for an upgraded suite room but it turned out to be on the first floor right next too the pool and walkway and didnt seem to have anything that would qualify it as a suite. Also on the second night we returned at around 7pm to find that during covid there was a large gathering of what I estimate to be 60+ people throwing a party in the lobby and assembly room area and throughout the entire hotel and outside. Because of this and at least 6 white plumber/utility trucks parked in guest parking there were 0 parking spaces available for us to park in at the time as well. The party went until the late hours of the night including in the pool outside our room way after it was supposed to close and in the hallways until after 4am. The cherry on top of all of this is that my partner took a phone call on our first floor balcony at 12:15am and had someone blatantly take 3 flash photos in her direction. We ended up leaving at 4am because we had a trip the following day and needed to be able to sleep. To close I would like to say that although we had major issues the staff was friendly at check-in and we chose not to bring these issues to them at the time as it was clear that whatever event was going on was approved by the management/ownership.

It’s tucked away into the little bay off of the busier area.Friendly staff, always super clean when we arrive, and nothing is out of place.They serve breakfast every morning, and you can’t pass it up, they have a mostly full breakfast bar- and a WAFFLE MAKER. Now how could you pass that up?! We definitely don’t.It gets even better from there.If you have children, there is two parks (that I’ve found thus far) within walking distance. Lots of delicious food choices nearby, both walking and drive distance and plenty of liquor stores.The view from the bedrooms on the bay front, side… Is what takes the cake. I LOVE waking up, to the smell of the waffle maker and coffee, just out our bedroom doors, to come back to my room with breakfast to enjoy a view of the bay and planes landing at the airport just across the bay. I have NO complaints!Definitely my favorite spot when we do have our kids, and especially when we don’t have them too!

Comment: Stayed here for one night after returning from a flight from Michigan. Booked the room from Hotels.com website. The Marina Inn on San Francisco Bay is only a couple miles from the Oakland Airport. The Inn is right next to a marina and has two restaurants across the parking lot, within walking distance. Check-in was very easy. The front desk has a divider for Covid safety and the employees are wearing masks. The property allows fully vaccinated guests to be maskless, if they choose. The lobby area is nice. When we got to our room, it was clean and appointed well enough. Shower only in the bathroom, but it was pretty large. My only suggestion is a face lift is due. The beds were very comfortable. We were on the third floor, so no noise from above. Overall, the Inn was quiet and guests were respectful. The unheated pool was open. The hot tub was closed. Buffet style breakfast in the morning, with waffles, cereals, hard boiled eggs, yogurts, breads, bagels, coffee, hot water for tea, etc. Clean and inviting. It was a good stay and likely a repeat destination when we travel out of Oakland Airport in the future.

Comment: My hubby and I are very happy with the stay. They gave us a clean room and a great view with a deck. The breakfast was delicious especially the waffels because you can make it your self. The staff where really nice, the house keeping people where mean and her vibe felt so uncomfy. Anyways really nice although the ghost in our room didnt like us watching cartoons, and was going through our bags while sleeping lol but friendly ghost though, because we wasnt terrified by it.

Comment: Motel not Inn there’s sketchy people hanging out in the parking lot. The room next was fighting and smoking weed we called 2 times and they merely quieted down. Then continued until 3am then at 6am they were already up cussing and yelling. They room on the other side’s alarm kept going off they obviously didn’t know how to turn it off soo after an hour sounded like they pulled the wires and disconnected it. I guess this is where you’re allowed to have hotel parties😠 and I believe that should be in the description. Because paying 200$ for a “DELUXE ROOM in a place where there is cheap motel activities is ridiculous!! My birthday weekend was completely ruined. They shouldn’t be allowed to BUY REVIEWS😒 they were very misleading😡

Comment: Very disappointed. We used to come here a lot years ago and always loved it, but the last few stays were different from what we were used to. The king sized bed from the junior suite on the first floor was very uncomfortable, the pillows are lumpy, the breakfast is pretty much uninviting and aside from a few packaged items as good as non existent. The staff was rude when we checked in the night before. I think for 170 dollars a night we will be looking elsewhere. Their beds used to be so comfortable, but not anymore. One can just wonder what happened to this place....?

Comment: We reserved this hotel specifically because there was an airport shuttle. When we arrived at baggage claim, we were told it was shut down due to covid. We had to wait an hour for the first uber and 90 minutes for the second, at 11 pm. Ubers for our family of four round trip cost a total of $130. Upon arrival to the hotel, the inside front lobby reeked of marijuana. I found it ironic, considering I had to sign away my life swearing I wouldnt smoke in the hotel.Hotel was clean, breakfast was cheap (Sams muffins for example), but easily grab and go due to covid. Mostly positives, but the negatives far outshadowed the experience. We chose not to stay here for our return layover.

Comment: It was basically clean. The staff was nice except for the manager. We only stayed two nights. We had to change rooms after the first night, because the toilet did not work. Because of the scratches in the bottom of the bowl, we knew that other people must have had problems, and also because the maintenance man would not even attempt to fix it; he just said that they needed to put in a new toilet. So when I told the manager that they rented us a room with a problem that they knew about, he got angry and argumentative. I dont think that it was a good way to handle this problem. He gave us a little room discount, and made it sound like a lot, but I was already getting a military discount ( probably equal to AAA). Things could have been handled better!

Comment: I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past 7 months and never had a problem. The staff was always accomadating to my disability. Because of my disability I am unable to wear a mask. When I checked I to the hotel, the Asian lady at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. A few minutes later, a man walked up and said that I could not be in the hotel without a mask. I explained to the man that I had a disability and was unable to wear one. He stated he did not care and In order for me to stay at the hotel I had to wear a mask. I attempted to explain to the man, who turned out to be the manager my situation. He was extremely rude and unprofessional! I did not get angry and had never been treated so badly as a paying customer. The man even threatened to call the police. I asked the so called manager if it was his policy to discriminate against people with disabilities. He became angry and stated he was refusing to serve me and that I could not stay at the hotel. I finally told the manager Hector to refund my money and that I would be lodging a complaint against him for discrimination according to the American disabilities Act. I have never had a problem in the past and dont recommend this hotel for people with disabilities if the manager Hector is still employed there.

Comment: One of the best hotels!I stayed last year and came back because of my experience last year. Everyone there is to ensure a great service whether it was the AGM, front desk, shuttle drivers or maids. I wasnt feeling well and they allowed me a late checkout at 3pm without additional fees.My room had a balcony facing the Bay. I could see the Oakland Airport from my room. The hotel has a really good breakfast from 5:30-10am. At 5pm, there are freshly made cookies and milk. Altogether it was an amazing experience!

Comment: Stayed over this past weekend. Guest in another room extremely loud until 3:00am. Slamming doors, screaming through hallways. Previous stay was great, this stay not as pleasant. Spoke with front desk, they stated only an 11:00pm complaint about noise and that was it. Think they should patrol the premise more in hopes this is not a weekend occurrence. After this last stay, I would be hesitant to stay here again, as I mainly stay here while on business and need some good rest. Arrived at 9:00pm, was awake every 30 minutes due to noise.

Comment: Infested with ants and gnats! Do NOT stay here. Booked this hotel because of the location and a reasonable distance from the airport. We checked in and although the hotel is quite dated, it seemed ok. Definitely not worth the price!Unpacked a few things and then walked next door for dinner. When we returned, we noticed ants all over the dresser! We killed as many as we could, packed up our things and requested a move. The next room had no ants, but gnats all over the mirror. I made several calls to the manager with no response or call back. The room was nice and clean and the balcony/patio (although on the first floor) had a nice view of the water and boat dock. Couldnt see the sunset due to the weather but would definitely stay again. Comment: Staying here for two weeks with an infant. Such a beautiful place to stay. The hotel is located in front of a gorgeous marina and beside a stunning park! Great location to walk or take the bus to places close by. Lots of parks around for nature lovers.They have a great breakfast....havent gotten sick of it for the past two weeks. Everything is so fresh and Im sure they use local goods - try the donuts!. They have coffee, teas, and lemon water all day long - they even have packaged honey to add to your beverage! And to top it off, they have cookies and milk in the evening.My favourite part of the place was the staff, so kind and caring. Special mention to Farhad, Tim, Rosa, and Jessica. They work so hard to keep everything clean and accessible. So many others who really went the extra mile, especially helping with my baby.They have a great shuttle service that takes you to so many local places if you dont have a car with you.I cant say enough good things about the place...it feels like a second home and I cant wait to come back again!Edit: forgot to mention that their outdoor pool is heated to such a comfortable temperature and there is also a hot tub with decent jets. Were in room 309 so not much of a view but if you get somewhere in the high 20s youll have a view of the marina.The only downside of the area is that there are some shady characters outside at night towards the park side, so try not to be out there alone at night.

Comment: My review would have been four stars - this motel is a cut-above - but they have recently significantly increased prices so that it no longer represents decent value.Essentially, this is a motel - the walls and windows are paper-thin, the decor is from the 1960s etc. and any semblance of style is completely missing, but they try to do things better. The beds are comfortable, theres less nylon in everything and the spread at breakfast is much more generous. West facing rooms have a great view of the San Leandro marina, but do suffer from jet engine noise from nearby Oakland Airport.Rooms regularly went for c$120-$140 per night, but this seems to have gone up about $40, so it no longer offers value against better hotels nearby.

Comment: Enjoyable atmosphere on the bay. Lovely big room with comfortable bed. Nice breakfast buffet. We loved walking around the marina, relaxing in the nature surrounding this Inn. Several families walked around the nearby path where we saw funny little prairie dog types popping up their heads to look at us. All in all this is a wonder Inn and perfect location

Comment: Id give the Marina Inn 5 stars if it were based on location and staff but unfortunately my work van was stolen out of the parking lot a few days ago and kind of ruined the experience.I realize the hotel has little to do with this but I would be very wary of theft in the area. Bring everything you can to your room.This is one of the nicer areas in San Leandro but try to park as close to the front door as possible. I was right under a light.Havent heard anything back from the police but Ill be sure to update the post if they find the van. Until then Im out thousands of dollars in tools and a nice cargo van.R.I.P van, youll be greatly missed.Also, if you see a White Ford E250 driving around with Iowa plates from Sioux Falls Ford. Call the police for me.

Comment: Quaint hotel in San Leandro. Dated rooms but very clean and quiet. The complimentary shuttle gave us a ride to Drakes brewery for our event. Super friendly and helpful staff. Right on the water. Free parking.

Comment: Good value for the money. Clean, comfortable. No restaurant, but two in walking distance. No convenient outlet by the bed to recharge a phone, but there was a power strip across the room on the desk. I had to wait 30 minutes at Oakland Airport for pickup.

Comment: If you want to stay near the airport or in San Leandro this is a great hotel. The staff is friendly, the rooms are a bit older but very clean and it is a nice hotel in general. Wonderful views of the marina and they do a really good breakfast (eggs fresh fruit, bagels, ...).I should give it 5 stars but I wont for one simple reason:The breakfast is served with disposable cutlery and plates which generate a lot of garbage and it generally isnt fun to eat. If you ask your guests to reuse the towels, is it so hard for you to reuse real plates... it wil lift the breakfast expierience up to 100%

Comment: Older hotel but very well maintained, breakfast was awesome. The best donuts we have had. Clean hotel, spacious rooms. The surrounding area is a little sketchy but if you stay on hotel grounds your good. Staff was very nice and friendly. They serve cookies warm at 5pm everyday.

Comment: The place is right by the water, and it was an amazing view from the room. Its kinda out there and not close to many places, but its good if you are in a budget, as all of the hotels in the SF areas are really expensive. Complementary breakfast was pretty good. Beds were comfortable. Staff were flexible and nice, as we extended our stay and then canceled due to various travel changes.

Comment: Room service subpar. Gave plastic utensils for $300 meal. Room was okay. Customer service was good and hotel. But if youre staying somewhere solely to have a nice location and room service this is not it. Trim service is catered by Horatios however Horatios has been better in the past this day was terrible.

Comment: The location isnt great unless you NEED to be in San Leandro for some reason. Its a pretty property overlooking a gorgeous marina, but it was marketed to me as being just outside SF. Its a good 30-40 minutes without traffic. Also, there are next to no food options nearby after 8pm. So bring food back to your room, eat garbage delivery (maybe 1-2 local delivery spots), or pay gouged prices for the convenience of Horatios restaurant next door. Also, the pool area is noisy with kids sun-up to sun-down, and there is a vagrant clientele occupying the cheaper rooms. All this said, the staff is very nice, rooms are very clean, and beds are comfy. But if you want San Francisco, go there, not here.

Comment: Nice location. Hotel is definitely dated, staff very nice. My room was spacious, but outdated. No usb ports and poor wi-fi.Upon spending an hour in my room I collected at least five candy rapers, a smashed gummy bear and a penny in my carpet. Obviously not vacuumed recently. Shag carpet appeared dirty and old.I would hesitate to return based on the lackluster condition and excessive price.

Comment: Totally cute. They had fresh flowers around the place, the outdoor pool and hot tub were fun, and they had a free shuttle service. The continental breakfast was simple and fresh and awesome!On the other hand, our basic room was a bit cramped, but doable. Also kind of a lot of hallway noise.

Comment: Rooms and staff at this hotel were both very nice, I especially liked the showers. View of the marina is very nice, but you have to request a room facing it otherwise you will get one facing the parking lot. The best feature though has to be the free breakfast, one of the best Ive been to for a hotel in this price range, also the fact that at 5pm they leave cookies and milk out for guests!!

Comment: Its a good location with a lot of parking. Has a fantastic view. The accommodations is average and somewhat overpriced. Being located near Oakland and Hayward there a some shady figures at night. It is advisable to clean your car of any valuables as theft is common. As this hotel is decent I would personally not come back to San Leandro when San Francisco is a short trip away. There are much better places to be had for the same price.

Comment: A nice little hotel. On the water and generally clean. They also have bikes that you can use which us kinda neat. The first floor smells a little musty and there was a hole in my bathroom wall above the shower that made me nervous about mild. But other than that the lobby is nice and the staff was extra friendly.

Comment: Very nice hotel, well-equipped, clean and maintained rooms. Extra points for proper capsule coffee-maker. The free breakfast is handy, but rather basic.On hi-tech side, WiFi is also free, but I found Skype calls to be fairly unreliable. The AC sockets are either in wrong places or loose or not working, so beware where you plug your gadgets.

Comment: My new favorite hotel. I have stayed here 2 times now and I was just as impressed this time as I was the first time. Ive seen people say that the hotel is a little outdated but I dont agree. It is in an AWESOME location right on the marina with great views when you get a balcony room. The staff is A+++ and super friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning is great! I just cant think of enough good things to say about this place!! Whenever I am in the SF Bay Area, this is definitely where I will stay.

Comment: This is a great gem along the bay in San Leandro!! My husband and I loved staying there and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay near San Francisco without the high costs.The staff were so accommodating, but yet respected our privacy. They printed driving directions to places we were interested in going to, which we appreciated! The hotel and our room was very clean; the buffet breakfast provided a very nice breakfast with alot of options. Our room had a view of the marina-make sure you ask for this. Two restaurants next door gave us more options for dining without needing to drive. I would have loved a bathtub--the shower massager was great though. We will defnitely stay at Marina Inn when visiting the Frisco area!

Better bedding, better in room coffee (kuerig) better soaps (neutrogena) super friend staff.Even the 24 hour coffee in the lobby was good!Request a room facing the marina and if it costs extra, pay it.

Comment: I stayed here for a week while on business in the area. My experience was very good. I had a quiet room on the second floor with a beautiful view of the bay. The sunsets every night were exquisite. The room was very clean and everything was in working order. Staff was friendly and helpful. It is definitely worth upgrading to a room with a bay view as was suggested when I made my reservation. The breakfast is adequate; fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, cereal although the pastries could definitely be improved. My room had a mini Keurig coffee maker which I enjoyed each morning and the fresh cookies in the afternoon were a nice treat. Next door are two restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel is located next to a large park with excellent walking/bike riding paths and you can walk/ride for several miles along the bay. I didnt use the outdoor pool or jacuzzi
