I’ve had to replace iPhone screens more than I care to recall. Through the years I’ve tried going back to Apple and various service companies that specialize in these repairs. I’ve never had such a good experience as I did today when I went to Pod Drop. Why?1) Excellent and friendly customer service. IWas in a rush because I worked today and wasn’t able to get in until 1 hour before close. Danny was awesome to commit to helping me in a crunch. He also went above and beyond with the repair as he tested the phone to make sure it could be restored from iCloud. We talked for a bit and I can tell he’s an honest professional who takes pride in his business and taking care of customers.2) Price. It was well below any other time I’ve paid for screen repair. I was expecting to pay more because the location is in Rochester…but I was wrong. It was a great value.3) Added bonus. They give you a free screen protector with a screen replacement. It’s a nice added bonus.The Pod Drop is now the place I’ll go every time we drop one of our devices!
Great place to repair and iPad or iPhone ! The workers here are friendly and are very knowledgeable. They fixed two damaged ipads of mine, one was a very complex repair to the home button, which turned out quite well. Now both are back in action and the family is very happy. I recommend you stop in to visit if you have a repair need. When you bring your gadget in, they will review the problem, give you advice on what it would take to fix it and if its worth fixing... The pricing they offer for the two repairs was very reasonable. Great store ! Im very happy with their service.p.s. Also, they have a large selection of phone cases on display if your looking to buy one.

I walked in and needed the back of my phone screen repaired in order to trade my phone in for a new one! The man at the front said that sometimes the back does not need fixed for trades-ins so I should ask my provider before paying. Turns out I did not need it fixed! Honest and hard workers! I will come back here for all of my future repairs!
Stopped in today thinking I needed to replace the broken glass on the back of my iPhone before returning it. They quickly picked up the phone and called Verizon on my behalf and determined Verizon was accepting iPhones back as long as the front screens werent damaged. Saved me $$$! So nice to work with a store that isnt constantly trying to milk every dollar out of you and willing to help! Highly recommend this store!

Danny at Rochester store was awesome! My touch screen locked up and he walked me through a reset on the phone and my iPad is working again….I didn’t even have to leave my house. Will definitely visit them in the future and recommend them should the need arise!!!
The Pod Drop was recommended to me and they did not disappoint! I would give them 10/5 stars if I could! My charging port and headphone jack wasnt working and they took care of me and fixed the problem like it was nothing. My screen protector was cracked and they put a new on for me at no charge even after I told them I already had one ordered! They go above and beyond and make you feel at home. I live 35 minutes from The Pod Drop but let me tell you it was worth it and they have my business for life!
Professional and kind people. Ive had my ipod classic for 11 years and thought I was doomed when my headphone jack went and my battery wouldnt stay charged for more than a few hours. They got me in same day I called and had my ipod classic back within a few hours. Works great! Great Prices too! Thanks so much again guys!
AMAZING service!!! Came in at 5pm with a broken screen and broken camera. Within 40 minutes, I walked out of the store with everything fixed… they also let me chill in the store and gave me the wifi password. Can’t thank these guys enough!!
Took my iPhone 12 in to get a new screen paid $300 cash and the following week I drop my phone in my own bed in the whole entire screen literally shattered and went black poor quality poor service when I asked for a refund they said your fault

Phone got ran over countless times. Brought it in for them to offer their thoughts. Instead they clean it up a bit and put a new screen to see if it would work at no charge. I decided not to try and fix though. Even without me giving them any business, they still insisted I take a loaner phone just so I could text and call who I needed at no charge for a couple days. I would recommend working with these guys simply because they are genuinely caring people and not trying to rip you off.
Danny and Sam are the best. I’ve gotten everything from phone batteries to screens to cameras to speakers fixed. I’ve also bought several phones from them too. The Pod Drop in Rochester is the only place I’ll go to get my phones worked on and or get high quality used phones from. I’ll never buy used phones from anyone else ever again.
I took my wife’s phone here thinking that I cracked the screen after dropping it. They let me know it was actually just the screen protector that was damaged and put on new screen protectors for both of our phones for free. They could’ve went along and charged me $150 to “replace the screen” that I thought was damaged but they were honest and took care of us. Greatly appreciated!
I always come here when I break my phone (which is so often) and he always does exactly what he’s supposed to do! I also bought a used phone here and it’s perfect and he set up everything for me. Went in after going to t mobile because my phone randomly stopped working. Had limited screen functions and only my side buttons worked. Walked in and within 10 seconds of explaining what was wrong to Danny he knew how to fix it. Very good service glad I didnt need to buy a new phone.

Danny and team took care of me like no other when I went to drop off my wife’s iPhone. Screen was fixed quickly and works like new. I accidentally told himI had a different model iPhone which would have been a more expensive screen. He could have easily kept the up charge without saying a word but made sure to give me the lower price. He also throws in a screen protector and cleaned the charging port. I mentioned mine was dirty as well and he cleaned it and gave me a screen saver as well! Hope me and my wife don’t break another screen but if I do, I know where to go.

I shattered my Apple Watch screen and was looking to get it replaced. I called The Pod Drop and they walked me through the pricing. They were so honest and told me it would be more money to replace than it would be to just go buy a new one. They were right! They also told me that if I replaced the screen, it would break the waterproof seal. I so appreciate their honesty. They could have charged me and not said anything. I highly recommend The Pod Drop. My iPhone 12 wouldnt start. The rep helped troubleshoot my issue and provided me with a loaner phone to borrow (no charge). I have used this service for broken screens, etc. several times and they are always patient and ultimately help me solve my issues.
I went into the pod drop today and I was greeted and let me say that these guys absolutely are amazing. I am able to hear out of my phone now and they educated me on why this was going on. The man in charge (sorry I did not get a name) he was so helpful. Made sure I left happy and he didn’t even charge me. I will definitely be using them all the time for any issues with my phone.
No wait. Store was immaculate and well lit. Thought I was going deaf due to my inability to hear clearly through phone ear piece. Store owner (very pleasant) quickly identified the problem, gave the phone ear screen a quick clean and normal volume returned! Installed a screen saver as a bonus. Did not charge and refused to take money for either service. Thought I was dreaming! Great service experience!!!
Danny rocked. Called for an emergency screen replacement last Thursday. Did the screen as I waited - I had battery issues for some time as well - got that fixed at the same time.Amazing service. I dropped my Moto Z3 Play onto 3000 PSI concrete and cracked the LCD display in half. Phone was completely black screened and the display wouldnt work at all. At the Pod Drop they were able to obtain a display for my phone within hours of my dropping it off and after recieving a defective display from their supplier they didnt stop until they got a display for my phone that worked.While I was waiting for the repair of my phone I was supplied with a temporary phone that used my sim card and phone number allowing my life to continue normally.I now have a working phone with a brand new display for a fraction of the cost of buying a new phone. Can not recommend these guys enough.

Danny was amazing in remedying all our iPhone concerns. He is an individual who truly cares about customer service and the full satisfaction of his customers. After throughly analyzing our situation he focused on maintaining a lifelong customer. I will always bring my family phones here with current ownership. If I could give a higher rating I would, as this is the first repair facility I have been to that cares and focuses on countermeasures for their customer base. My original review was on a miscommunication between people and now completely remedied. Also wanted to state that the defect was my inability to zero in on the LED fracture. My fault and Danny was very professional.
Had some water get into my iPhone XR, even though it’s water resistant. The guys took apart my phone and dried and cleaned it out. It has been working perfect ever since! I will be sure to come back for any future phone repair needs.

I was referred to this place by a friend that said if I had a cracked screen go to this place right in the heart of downtown Rochester ! So I did and I literally was over joyed with how laid back and taken care of everything felt. With your phone sometimes its stressful, making appointments at the Genius Bar or waiting what feels like decades at your services store, but not here. I dropped my phone off (iPhone 6 plus) and had it fixed with a glass screen protector on it in no more than 45 minutes! I was so grateful, Rob, the owner, also hooked me up with a discount on two phone cases and the free screen protector! What a great person and experience with my phone. I called Saturday at 415 to see if they would fix my wifes broken iphone XR screen. They said they close at 5, it usually takes an hr to fix it. They are closed on Sunday but Sam said if I came in the next 15 minutes he would fix it. Sam did a great job staying a few minutes late to make sure the job got done. He even fixed the face ID which the previous repair person had spoiled. They give you a free screen protector and also 60 day warranty for the part. Highly recommend!!
I just recently took my phone to The Pod Drop regarding my power button that had fallen off and a software update. Danny allowed me to do 2 software updates (for free) at the store since I currently dont have wifi at my place. He even offered to help pay the meter for my parking but I had the change for that. Its my 3rd time taking my phone to this store for various reasons, and every time I am very pleased with the service. Highly recommend.
I had an iPhone 8 Plus that I shattered front and back and fortunately had Apple Care + coverage so I could get a replacement through Apple. However, the screen was unresponsive so I couldnt back up my photos, videos and other content before getting a new phone and Apple wouldnt do a single thing to help me. Danny, the owner of The Pod Drop, was able to connect a new screen to my phone and let me sit in the store for over an hour and a half while my phone backed up, Then he disconnected his screen and replaced my broken one so I could take it to Apple for my replacement phone. He did this for me at NO CHARGE! What shouldve cost me a $29 service fee, Danny did for free because he had compassion on the fact I already paid Apple $200 for insurance and it was going to cost me another $100 for my replacement phone. Now that Ive use up all of my accidental coverage with Apple, I know exactly where Ill be going with any future breaks - The Pod Drop in Rochester Hills!! Thanks again, Danny!

Remarkable business!!! Gave honest advice that saved us quite a bit of money on a repair that he could have easily done but maybe not the most prudent thing to do with our sons Ipad. Put screen protectors on both my cell phone and my husbands for free. I would absolutely recommend the pod drop in downtown Rochester to anyone who needs repairs to their phone or tablet. The store is clean and comfortable and the gentleman that helped us today was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Ive heard that it can be expensive to replace Iphone screens. I ended up paying a lot less than what I have heard they can cost. I even bought a new case and it was still within my budget. The workers were friendly and helpful. The service was quick and painless. I dropped my phone off, grabbed lunch, walked around downtown for a bit and had my phone fixed in less than a hour. I had dropped my phone twice and it was so shattered I had actually cut myself on it. Now it looks brand new! I will recommend this place to everyone I know that has had this common and unfortunate issue with cracked Iphone screens.
Outstanding repair service. I thought for sure my daughters phone was beyond help and we had no insurance on it. After being dropped on the floor, another fragile iPhone (these things seem to break easier and easier) the screen was not cracked, but apparently the LCD underneath was? In any case, it was not functional and would not respond to touch as well as the volume button being stuck in. The Pros at Pod Drop, said no problem, well have it ready in an hour or so. We had lunch, came back, phone as good as new and at a very reasonable price that saved us approximately $600 vs a new one.Way to go Pod Drop!!

I have used Pod Drop a few times for repairs on iPods and Touches. They are great! I was leery about mailing my first device to Michigan, but they made it easy. They called after the item was received and gave me their opinion on repair. A price for the repair was fair and the item was returned quickly. After that first time, it only got easier. That first iPod - generation 1 - still works today and has been back for a battery change a second time! These folks know what they are doing, are fast, easy to communicate with and fair priced. I highly recommend them!

Yesterday stopped in to get my protected glass replaced, yes it was cracked. Greated so nicely only to find out they are running a promotion for the protected screen replacement at no charge. The owners are very friendly and professional. Same day service for most things and if they dont have it in stock they will do the best they can to find what youre looking for. Weve purchased all iPhones from them and have been extremely happy and spend less than we would have at Verizon or the Apple store. I cant recommend them highly enough. We wont go anywhere else.

These guys are awesome. I took in an iPad and an iPhone that were locked up. My mother who is in an assisted living home had entered the password too many times and the devices locked. Danny took care of everything and we had good discussion about football and the nightlife in downtown Rochester. They got everything fixed and helped me restore the data on my moms devices. Not only did they fix them they would not take any money for the work. For someone in senior care connection to the outside world is so important. These guys went above and beyond. I had fear that I’d need a new laptop and I’m a college student. But with Sam and Danny’s help I was able to actually get my laptop back in better condition before the hard drive got knocked out of place (most likely by me). My charging port was broken and I went to Cellular Phone Repair for an estimate and they said it would cost $205. 00 to repair.My brother referred me to your shop and your estimate was much lower and more affordable. I brought my phone in one hour before you closed and picked it up the next day. You did a great job.
I went in today expecting to pay a lot for a repair.... Instead they kindly fixed whatwas keeping my iphone from charging and charged me nothing. I bought a new caseFor my phone and he discounted the price on it. I will go back now when I decide to buya new phone. I hate to say it....but had i gone into one of several franchise Verizon dealersin the area I would have been talked into a new phone.
I spilled contact solution on my iPhone 5. For $20 Rob spent 3 hours taking my phone apart and meticulously assessing and cleaning it to prevent any future damage. Instead of charging me around $100 to replace the flickering screen (the only defect he could find), he recommended I wait 24 hours because he was confident the issue would resolve itself. He even offered to apply my $20 assessment fee towards fixing the screen if it did not resolve. Rob went above and beyond to retrieve my missing contacts (an issue neither Apple Support nor the Genius Bar could resolve) and get all of my software up to date on BOTH my MacBook and my iPhone free of charge. Basically as a technology-idiot myself, these guys are honest, trust worthy, hardworking, amicable, patient, knowledgeable, and will do far more than required to resolve your issues. I will continue using the Rochester Pod Drop for all of my future issues and would recommend them to anyone.

I called the shop 5 minutes before they were scheduled to close & asked them if they could stay open to fix my teens cracked iphone screen. Rob agreed. Not only did he fix the screen right away, when I asked if he could replace the battery, he graciously agreed instead of rushing me out since we were past closing time. He also put a screen protector on for free since he remembered I had been there before (which was many months earlier)! Ive never had any quality problems with his repairs like Ive had with other repair shops. His prices are a steal when you look at the workmanship. Also, for some reason Google had this location listed as closed before. THIS LOCATION IS OPEN. With all the business he gets & quality of work, hes not closing anytime soon!
As advertised, they fixed my shattered iphone 6 screen. Dropped it off and they had it fixed in less than hour. They offer two choices, OEM Apple screen or knockoff. Only $20 difference between the two, and the OEM screen comes with a 3 month warranty. Would highly recommend.
I have a 160 gigabyte iPod classic, which were discontinued several years ago and are extremely hard to come by these days. I use the thing all day every day- driving, at work, at home, id honestly be lost without it. Last year, the auxiliary port broke and only worked out of one speaker or headphone. I took it to the apple store and was basically told you can pay a few hundred dollars for someone to mess with it and we cant guarantee that it will work and was basically told to just buy a new iPod touch (after waiting there for 2 hours). I was in Rochester today and saw the store serviced iPod classics and decided to go in and talk to someone thinking that id probably be turned away. The guys working in this store were highly knowledgable, professional, and were so incredibly helpful. I told them what was going on, they gave me a really good price (less than a quarter of what apple wanted to charge without any bs) and said my iPod would be ready in 45 minutes. Less than 45 minutes later they called and it was fixed. It works perfectly. With the apple store basically being everyones worst nightmare (Seriously, its like the seventh rung of hell there and you have to make an appointment to visit it and suffer) this place should be everyones first choice. I highly reccomend the pod drop.. Excellent service and extensive knowledge of the products they work on. Thank you guys!

Brought in my Samsung tablet, even thou im sure many people think these guys only work on Apple products. They were cool enough not to charge me, as they couldnt recover my missing pictures and/or videos. Other places wanted to charge just to look at my device or have it sent out. These guys were professional and spent the afternoon trying different recovery programs. I would highly recommend even thou they were not able to recover my files.

I have had several devices brought to this place and always had great service! I not only brought iPods and iPhones but also a home projector and an industrial electronic tool which they fixed for a very good price. The projector was even condemned by the factory and now works perfectly... I almost threw it away... TG I stopped here before doing that!!!For the apple stuff I could find a little cheaper online but as I live in Rochester, I will always prefer to bring it here...

5 stars for these guys!! i had an old phone, that was inoperable but had many family photos stored on it. Unable to turn on, login in, I was unable to get my photos. The folks at The Pod Drop in Rochester help me to fix and access the photos which I had lost all hopes of ever retrieving. Thanks a ton!!!
Filled out the form online, packaged the ipod in a flat rate box, applied the company supplied label and shipped it. A few days later received a call detailing the problem (failed hard drive) and the cost to replace it. Unit received back within 10 days of initial contact.

The speakers on my Macbook were blown. The first time I took it in, the speakers they ordered the new speakers were also bad.When I took it back in they had another set of speakers and they fixed it in 30 minutes. I barely had time to get home and they called me and said my computer was ready.

2022-05-24My screen broke and a relative had a great experience here recently. I came by and while I decided to just replace the phone completely, Danny and team were extremely helpful. They even provided a loaner phone while I was deciding whether to replace the screen or get a new phone. Overall, very impressed with the service and will be using/recommending them in the future.

2022-02-25My screen cracked on my Samsung S20 Ultra. I had 3 quotes, Pod Drop (Danny) was the cheapest by a significant amount and provided a loaner phone. I was skeptical on all his 5 star reviews. 2022-02-24I own a Motorola smartphone. There arent a lot of these on the market today so I wasnt sure if the pod drop could help me. My biggest problem was battery life. Since I travel a lot I dont have the ability to charge my phone constantly so battery life is essential. I went and talked to Danny about replacing the battery and he told me up front that they dont work on that many Motorola phones. But he would see if the problem could be solved. Well, after a couple of trips back and forth he got my phone working perfectly. Battery life has increased tremendously and Im very happy with the work that they do. I would recommend them for any of my repairs.

2022-06-27The guy on the phone was nice and Ive heard good things but I just now made 5 calls to different repair stores and this was by far the most expensive quote ($250 for a Google Pixel 5a screen replacement only - I ended up with a quote at a great place thats 5-7miles away that Ive been to multiple times before for $150). I see another person below did the same and this place was the the cheapest, so just a reminder to take the 15 minutes and call a few different places if you need a repair!

2022-03-22Took my phone in a few months ago to get the screen replaced. My fingerprint scanner didnt work afterwards, I figured it was just because of the screen protector they put on it. The guy told me oh if it doesnt work try adding a new fingerprint which Ive tried but it wouldnt even add a new fingerprint it said it didnt work. Even took the screen protector off to see if that would fix it and nope.

2022-06-13THE. BEST.These guys are fantastic!We brought our iPad to another place at first--big mistake. This other place had our iPad for a week and never called us with any diagnosis. When we checked in with them, they had zero answers, and we were left with a diagnostic charge of $70.Then...We brought the iPad to The Pod Drop; they couldnt have been better communicators and fixers! They got our iPad up and running in a day and took some money off the price because they knew wed already coughed up $70 for nothing.If you want results and peace of mind, I strongly recommend.
