Today was a good day shopping here.Went there for one thing, founded 9 other items. Very reasonable. Staff very polite and helpful.

I went there today and absolutely loved the experience everything was very organized in the ladies section according to the type and color of clothes. Also a lot of variety to choose from!Staff was very friendly and cooperative.
I dont want the 10% off for the review; I just want to share my experience my first time coming to this location. The windows and floor are so dusty. I didnt feel welcome at all upon entering. The cashier whos standing there needs to grab some window cleaner and make herself useful. The music selection is HORRIBLE. I love God but we dont need music like that blasting in our ears, it was the deciding factor on me speeding my shopping trip up. The fitting rooms are a tragedy- with large gashes in the drywall. I did find a dress that I needed. I saw a lot of things that were overpriced especially since thrift stores rely on donations. I just wanted to see if this location was a gem; I wont be back and for the sake of your customers and employees please stop playing that horrible country Christian music.
Dont come here if you are looking for jewelry ; they keep it for themselves or the favorite customers.
EDIT 9/19/19 - Went back today. I was disappointed to see the prices on clothing has went up. Lots of cardigans and shawls were priced 9.99. Left with less than usual.Stopped by Saturday morning. Very clean. Workers were nice and welcoming. Will be back !
A lot of the clothing aisles are quite narrow, hard to get 2 carts past each other. And there is often a line for the (only 4) fitting rooms. But at least the fitting rooms are lit fairly well. Also, I do think they have a tendency to overprice some things. Its not my favorite store, but I do find good deals occasionally.
Nice variety of clothes for men, women and children. Electronics and books section is small but still has great items. A good stock of furniture is also in the store. They stay open late, until 10 even on a Saturday! One of the better thrift stores in Metro Detroit.

WE love POPPING TAGS. Never know what you will find. The prices seemed more reasonable today and its nice way to donate.
I was put off by the prices- a coffee mug was marked $6😳 a used coffee mug🤔 I won’t even pay that for a new one- Granted the $ go to programs but I’m thinking of people with limited funds and this place not being affordable- I was also put off as to how dated and worn some of the clothes appeared to be- The book selection was a mess and very small quantity- in fact for 2 weeks I had been trying to donate 150 books and they said they were at limit and couldn’t take them🤨 Today, they maybe had 40 books on the shelf- The place looks so worn and unclean- I donate quite a bit and wonder if the good quality items are being picked out and the hodgepodge is sent to the floor- I will say though, the guys who work the donation drive line are hard workers and always pleasant to talk to- They are out there in the hot, cold... and lifting, throwing..- Try to tip them if you can😊
Beyond angry. Shut off the lights on me at 9:56pm. RUDE! Rude! Rude! Do you not close at 10PM? From the time I got there at 9pm until I left there there were at least 10 people on the PA telling guests the store was closing. They try to entice customers to leave with 33 percent off if they get in line to by 9:25. I can get on board with that tactic but to prompt the guests 50 minutes before closing is outrageous and multiple times after is redundant. Whoever is the store manager of this location should not allow this to go on and the music is also off the last hour. All I could hear is the employees screaming on the PA. It was distracting I won’t ever go back here again. If you are going to stay open until 10 stop acting like you close at 9PM..
First visit to this Thrift Store. What a total disappointment! Dirty, terrible inventory and it was their loss. I have an outstanding donation but was told they were not accepting donations. Got there to see a line of vehicles making donations. Wont be back.
We were glad to see they are accepting donations again. It operates limited hours (only 10a to 2 pm 4 days a wk) so the drop off line was long, but the good thing is they are getting back to normal.
Great place and wonderful staff...very helpful employees....a nice place to shop....wonderful that an electronic item that does not work can be returned for a credit slip within 3 days...with this I can take a chance on an electronic item, knowing I am not stuck with it, if defective. Special shout out to Donna, Pam, Glenda, Elizabeth, Pat, Sheila, Mike, Bernie and Nick! To Ed, John, Shannon, Julie, We have not forgotten you and wish you well in your new ventures! Please forgive us if your name does not appear hear, we are getting older and sometimes a little forgetful. We love you nonetheless, When we Do remember! I couldn’t ask for more in terms of the men’s clothing section at a discount store. I was able to get a great start on my summer wardrobe here at very reasonable prices. Love the “Thsnk you and God bless signs” around the store, and the Christian music over the PA. Thanks for existing, Salvation Army of Livonia!
A bit pricey for stuff that was donated but it was a clean and wonderful store on top of that I would recommend people go into your store
I have always loved this store always found lots of woman’s clothing. But I was a little disappointed yesterday at the price increase plus they always have had 50 percent and 25 percent off certain color tags now they only have 50 percent off I just hope that they don’t keep hiking the prices this is why I stopped going to a lot of the other thrift store because I really like this Salvation Army store!!
A LARGE thrift store with good selection on lots of items. Had a big furniture section. Almost bought a loveseat, but wouldnt have had a way to get it home -- I wish theyd deliver for an extra fee; Id gladly pay for that service.
A little pricey now, But still good stuff.
March 2021- I was not that impressed. It seems like loads of people are donating stuff (myself included) but there’s nothing in the house wear section and the items that were there were very disorganized.
Love to shop there, but just had an unsolicited rude experience with a cashier. After check-out, she told me to Have a Day. I guess she must have been having one herself and wanted to pass it on to an innocent bystander ... all with the gospel music playing in the background.
I stopped in here to check out the furniture department and as I walked in they announced furniture was 50% off! Thats a win in my book. They had a lot of nice pieces. They also had a lot of cheap clothes if thats what youre looking for.
The staff were all around working and helpful. Though I found the prices are much higher than my two favorite locations on Greenfield and in Walled Lake, so I was grateful that I was there during a 50% off clothes sale.
The store was well organized, well lit, clean and the service was great. I liked the way the clothes were color coordinated. It was senior day so saved. I also gave a monetary donation.
We have visited this store numerous times and have come away with great quality items. Staff is always polite and helpful too.

Tried to donate a dining room table set and some bedroom furniture and they turned me away. Wouldnt accept the items. It was decent stuff too - we were able to sell the stuff on craigslist.
Every time i shop there, I always find something i want or need. And when i take someone with me, even though they are looking for something and Im not, i never leave empty handed. There is something there for any and everybody. Love it. 💝
The prices were as I expected, as in, higher than at Goodwill. But the item I mainly go for was on sale. They dont have (or didnt give me) bags, which I thought was odd. Ill bring my own next time.
They definitely need a better system for dropping off donations. Minimum time has been 45 minutes. Last time was 1 hr 15 mins.
Nice selection of clothing and shoes. Well organized store And reasonable prices. One of my favorite SA stores. Staff is very friendly.
They tend to shut the lights off and try to shoo people out before they close. One time they did this literally at 5:50 so be wary of that if you are shopping anywhere near closing time.
We wont donate here again. We were told that most of the stuff is thrown away. When they unloaded the truck they threw the boxes on the ground. A lot of these boxes contained glass items that surely were broken. And then one of the guys that was working unload stuff, the one with the prison tattoos, then asked me to give him money. There are many outreach centers that would be happy to have good things but, not this Salvation army.
The landlord took 40% of their space (my estimate) so not nearly the selection they once had. Boohoo.
This place is always well kept and very clean. And you can find some awesome deals on pretty cool stuff!

Nice place brought a few things when did they ever start charging you for a bag to put your stuff in like $0.05 for a small bag $0.20 or so for medium bag and $0.99 for a cloth bag what the heck start bringing your own bag but the price steam clean and a lot of Lights theme stuff got to give it that

This is a large store with a great selection and excellent customer service. This is by far one of my favorite Salvation Army Thrift Store locations.

Huge store with a great variety. I visited this location on Memeorial Day 2017. It was nice and clean and I got a lot of nice things for the kids.
This place is friendly, prices are low, they have a restroom and fitting rooms that are wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking is available and they always have something unique.

The prices continue to increase making them sell more clothing to textile recyclers instead of needy people. And donated collectibles are not sold in stors, rather online websites. They want the cash, not to help the poor.

The cashier Donna was extremely rude. I shop at this location often i have never encountered someone that was so short and rude with the customers.
I’ve been to a number of Salvation Army stores and this one was a little bit of a disappointment. Compared to some others, it was small and some of the prices were kind of high. I most likely won’t be returning to this particular store. :(

2022-07-23Terrible donation process. Had to wait 20 minutes for them to unload 2 cars, then they go through and sort every one of your items while you sit there.

2022-04-21Not so passionate about accepting donations for the needy. It was 5:03pm when I got at the store. I called to enquire where to bring in two walkers to donate. The first thing I heard was “we’re closed we’re not taking donations now, we’re closed at 5:00 PM”. I told the lady that I drove 15 minutes and I’m here already. She repeated the same line “we’re closed we’re not taking donations now”, “find a different thrift store that might take them at this time”, she added. Very disappointed with the attitude and the desire (lack of) for helping others.

2022-02-06Very dirty, disorganized store with VERY loud religious music playing all the time. I know that is their thing at salvation army stores but it makes for a very unpleasant shopping experience. Staff is usually very nice.

2019-08-31Super cute place. Had lots of interesting items for not bad prices. Spent a decent amount of time here which is usually a good indicator its not a bad place. The staff were friendly and very helpful, which is also an excellent bonus. Their furniture section was pretty darn decent. As was their electronics selection. They had clothes that seemed to go on for miles that could keep a clothe shopper happy for an hour.
