Super spot for some awesome Thai dishes. I can’t believe I didn’t find this place earlier. Gang Garee was amazing so was the masaman. They also have PHO options and boba tea. I highly recommend this place enjoyed it and the spice levels hit the spot. If you’re into spicy like me the XX Hot was not a joke, it was perfect.
Food is quite tasty. Portions are smaller than other places. Usually theres no way I can eat a full portion of drunken noodle. From here though, its not hard. They have Boba, which is nice, for a reasonable price. They do not have physical menus, so dont forget your phone like I did. Also, there is no entrance from Ford Rd. Only Lotz. If you are coming from the east and you blow by Lotz (like I did) you can drive through the apartment complex to access the road. The place is cute. The workers are friendly and they work fast. It was super busy when I went.Over all I am pleased.
Came here after the movies and it was delightful. I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and medium spice and shared the spring rolls. It was cooked perfectly and the spice was just right. I will definitely be returning to try other items. I also like that the tax is rolled into the price.
Great service and the drunken noodles were amazing (just not enough for $10) but the curry fried rice was 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Im vegan so I was excited for this, even ordered extra veggies! What veggies? All it was was over cooked broccoli, bamboo and white onions. Even the peas were over cooked and the rice was gummy. The sauce was yellow from the tumeric, no curry flavor at all, tasted like there was a little coconut milk and the rest was just spice! Not worth me driving 20 minutes for. SUPER disappointed
This place is the bomb.My wife and I come here religiously every week.Super nice, super clean, and their extra spicy rice is to die for.Ordering online or over the phone is a breeze and theyve never made a mistake on any of our orders. As a bonus, theyre sure to always update their hours online for holidays. This has consistently been our go-to takeout place since theyve opened, and I dont see that changing anytime soon!
My new favorite Thai food place! They make ordering vegan super simple, the portions are just right, and the food isn’t heavy or greasy like some others I’ve had. I have had their pad ped and massaman curry, both with tofu and noodles added in - delicious!! The Tom yum soup is also super refreshing and yummy!
Drunken noodle is amazing. Ive tried it a few times and the quality has been consistently good.Update: I am changing from 5 stars to 1 star because like any other restaurant, this place failed in keeping a consistent quality. Last night I got the usual from this place and the portions were half of regular times, and beef tasted funny. My family and I were all sick and having diarrhea in the morning after eating only this food.
Found my new local Thai spot. all the Thai places Ive had Im my range were fine enough (I mean Thai food is the best so) but this place SLAPS. I got drunken noodles with chicken, medium+ spice. it was nice and spicy. the veggies and chicken were cooked beautifully. YUM!!!
The staff here go above and beyond every time to make sure the food is great and the customer is pleased. The hard work that theyve put in during this pandemic is unmatched and theyll always have my business. The Bang Bang Shrimp and the Firecracker Chicken are both excellent.
Takeout box was a horrible experience with less than satisfactory food. I placed my order on their online ordering platform, which confirmed my order would be ready within 35 minutes. Now, when a restaurant says that, especially given the times were in, I give them a little leeway. 10-15 minutes past their stated time is completely understandable. From the time I placed my order at 6:24pm, to the time I finally had my food in hand, it was almost an hour and a half. I got to the restaurant at 7pm & proceeded to wait 45 minutes for my food. I had good in hand at 7:45. Not only that, there were about 5-7 other people in there experiencing the same issue. They never told me what happened but kept insisting my food would be ready in a “couple minutes.” I would have at least appreciated some honesty. I then heard them telling people calling in for phone orders that the wait time was 40 minutes. Which again was extremely inaccurate. Finally, getting home to hopefully enjoy the food we had waited so long for, we were less than impressed. I think this restaurant needs to get a handle on their customer service as well as a few other things. My husband I will definitely not be going back.
Got the bang bang shrimp and chicken fried rice. The fried rice didnt taste very good, the flavor wasnok but the ingredients didnt taste fresh. The shrimp was subpar and it says non-dairy but I might ask to be sure about that. I got a taro bubble tea and that flavor was good but not all the bubbles were fresh. I wont be back as I didnt have a good experience but Im glad to see others have
So good! Ive tried the pho and drunken noodles and neither disappoint. They are one of the few places where Im willing to try something else after finding my favorite menu item. Its worth the experiment. They have been accurate regarding wait times for food. They will let you know up front if theres an extended wait time. I really appreciate that. Giving the customer information that allows for an informed dining decision will always get a positive review from me.I consider it a hidden gem within Canton. Its seriously some of the food in the area.
I ordered the following based on the 5 stars review. I was surprised that the taste of the foods were way off. Most of the food were way too sweet.Drunken noodle - way too sweet. It is like they poured in spoons of sugar.Pork bun - sweet but still okPad ped - too sweet but can still taste the spicinessHmong kapoon noodle - taste the best among the pther foodsBeef satay - okTri-color desert - i am surprised that this desert has less sweetness compare to the food. I will expect the desert to be sweeter 😉
Had a door dash order of glass noodles and taro bubble tea. I kept it 5 stars because I will be back to try other things. The noodles were not my favorite but that’s just my personal opinion and not to say they weren’t “good”. Just not for me. The bubble tea seems it was made from a powder? My 1st sip must have pulled the undissolved powder from the bottom. Boba was mushy. But! I’m not going to base my opinion off my first order. I will be back to try other things and will edit this review accordingly! My husband and I are small business owners and thrive on customer feedback so leaving this for that reason only.I’m going to try the mango sticky rice next! I’m excited to try other menu items! See you soon!
Ordered for the first time today (via Grubhub) and we were very pleased. I was excited to see Pork Bao Buns and Larb Gai, so I immediately made my choices. My partner ordered the Pad Ped and Spring Rolls. Also ordered the Tom Yum soup with chicken for good measure. Our order was ready quickly, and when it arrived we dove right in.Wow.I was transported back to Chicago, about 10 years ago, when I had the most delicious Larb Gai that I had ever tasted. I’ve been looking for it locally ever since, and this hit the mark! Initially, I thought the spice level was off, but it just needed a little stir. :)The buns perfectly complimented the acidic spiciness of the Larb Gai by providing a sweet, bread-y break between spicy bites and the flavor was outstanding. My partner inhaled their Pad Ped and Spring Rolls before I could even grab a photo. We’re so full now that I’ll save the Tom Yum for tomorrow’s lunch. If it’s anything like the rest of this meal, I won’t be disappointed. I’ll absolutely be ordering again!
Hot digidy darn let me write you a tale, a tale of a fateful meal. Curry dishes of wonderful spice and heat that you can taste rather than suffer, (however there is that level if your soul be brave enough).A few days go by and my door is then graced by another dish of crispy beef wrapped in clouds and sweet dark sauce so rich that it should have come with a 401K.Why so sensational, why such high praise? simplicity itself, why its hardly a surprise. Because the wonderful sensations of delicious Asian cuisine is also a constant. Each time I have rid myself of the burden of extra cash in order to partake in curry fried rice it, it has been just as good as the first time.So take your quarters, find those pocket bills and get a second mortgage, because you will not find a better place for Asian food in 40 minutes of the Takeout box
Fast, good, reasonably priced food, the staff is great the spice selection accomadates everyone except people who dont want to be able to taste the food through the hurt, and everything they have can be saved as leftovers very well. Only complaint is theyre not open on Mondays, but if they were Id be getting a lot fatter so its probably for the best.
This was not only my first time ordering from this establishment, its my first time ordering thai food. I ordered big, I got the Drunken Noodles, the Crispy rolls, Mango Sticky Rice and Pork Belly Bao Bun. Everything is delicious. My favorite was the Pork Belly Bao, second favorite was the Crispy Rolls. The Mango Rice is really different, but refreshing and the noodles are just...exploding with flavor!I cant wait to try their Pho bowl. I ordered delivery so I cannot speak to the atmosphere or whether they have chosen to enforce the mask regulations, take out was phenomenal so even if they do require masks to eat in, you can still order to go and be just as satisfied. Cant wait to order again, best money Ive spent in awhile on a meal!
I didnt know such a wonderful restaurant was so close to my home. The Drunken Noodles were great and the perfect amount of spice. My picky 11 year old had Beef Kushiyaki, ate all of it and couldnt stop telling me how good it was. Also good were the pork butt buns and Thai Basil Chicken. I could eat the Tomyum Soup by the gallon, medium heat, so spicey and perfect!! Cant wait to order again!
The best Thai I have ever had! Even though I ate twice before I came.. I went crazy and got $75 worth of food. Every dish had its own unique flavor and sauce poppinoff. Bravo Yall Please keep this up! Dont change a thing. The music you had playing was the whip too. The noodles, rice, beef, chicken, sausage were cooked perfect. Friendly service with a smile too. I would add pictures but I ravaged thru these dishes like a mad-man already... k...Im going to put my phone down so I can eat some more.
I havent had thai before and my wife and I wanted to try but wasnt sure aboit the menu. When we seen the pictures of the food it looked so delicious we decided to try, all i can say we really lucked up to find this place. Food is excellent and not to have thai before this was a great introduction keep up the great job.
Biased because I work next door at Club Nail Spa (come get your nails done yall) this place has amazing chicken larb like homemade. When they say spicy they mean SPICY 🌶. Their Pho is as good as my moms, and thats saying a lot. Bang Bang Shrimp is definitely worth a try. Give this place a try, Canton & Westland need to be more cultured with asian food this will give you that.
The first time I ordered from here I got it through door dash. I figured since I live so close enough I would get carryout. BOTH COOKS WERE NOT WEARING MASKS! Yes they were behind plastic shields and the two other employees were wearing masks but since you are cooking other peoples food you should have your face covered. My family wants to support local businesses but I wont be coming back here.
Have tried most of the Thai available in a 30 mi radius from westland. This one was ok. Pad Ped was kinda greasy/oily. The Pad thai was ok, better than few. Overall decent for the price. Probably wouldnt return. Nothing wrong with their dishes, only because the competition is better.
1st & foremost: The people were AMAZING!!2nd: BUBBLE TEA, BUBBLE TEA, BUBBLE TEA!Oh yeah, and the food was great too! LOVE YOU GUYS!!(Only 4 stars [for now], until I can taste some more.)P.S. The next time yall see me come up to the door just start makin some Bubble Milk Tea!

2022-04-05Their food is absolutely delicious and consistent. We drive 35-40 minutes each way for their food. They are continuing to do carryout only. They do participate with door dash for deliveries, but you need to live in the Canton/Westland area for delivery. We love their fore cracker chicken and shrimp and their crunchy and fresh rolls. It is rare to find a place that offers East/South Asian foods with allergy indicators on the menu. If you are gluten free, vegetarian or vegan this is a huge treat and a must try. The mango sticky rice dessert is also fantastic. Worth every penny! Support this local, family owned and operated business with some of the best Asian fusion food around! Our large orders are always ready on time and our order is always correct. This place is amazing!

2022-05-02This is may second time ordering from here. Ordered the pork belly Bao buns, again. Was quite disappointed by the amount of FAT in the pork. Also ordered the mango sticky rice. Im pretty sure canned peaches are used and not mango. Really disappointed.

2022-01-22This place is tasty and decently-priced. We initially started getting from here because our Pho place is pretty far, however I found a new dish that I absolutely love! Their Firecracker Chicken is sooo good! It comes with white rice. (Spring rolls sold separately) I look forward to trying other new dishes as well.

2021-07-23My new favorite Thai food place. The food was amazing. I ordered mild and it wasn’t too spicy had the right amount of spice to the shrimp. Everything was very flavorful! Definitely will go back again!

2022-02-21Tried this place out for the first recently. Overall, we really enjoyed the dishes we tried. The Pad Prik was our favorite but the Thai Fried Rice and Pad Thai were also good. For appetizers we tried the spring rolls (which were excellent) and a crispy chicken roll (good flavor, but not very appetizing by the time you get home - would not order this again).Flavor was somewhat better than other Thai places we’ve tried in the area, but the portion sizes are much smaller and the prices are somewhat higher (which is surprising for a restaurant which is entirely based on takeout). Cost of our meal for 4 people was $90 with no leftovers.

2021-11-29First ordered from here 11/14. my son and his girlfriend (vegan) were headed over. with SO many vegan options we had to try it. we ended up ordering over $100 worth of food just because we wanted to try several things (the leftovers didnt go to waste!). absolutely everything was amazing! the prices a great! when it comes to spice levels it is dependent on the chef. we were very happy with our spice level choices..... better yet, we ordered again last night and spice levels were spot on! there are still a lot of things i want to try. i see this as my favorite Thai choice. after moving back to the area recently and finding my old favorite no longer in business, i was saddened. however, it turned out to be a good thing because I probably wouldnt have given The Takeout Box a shot. The Takeout Box exceeds my old favorite!!

2022-01-30Normally when I order something spicy from a place that makes this kind of food I am very disappointed because its obvious they forgot how to make things spicy and well seasoned due to the customers they normally get. This time is the first time in years Ive actually gotten food at the spice level I want with me wanting even more after I finished eating. I ordered the Drunken Noodle with some beef, extra noodles, and veggies at around a medium level of spice along with spring rolls and a strawberry bubble tea. All of it delicious and all of it worth every last cent spent on the food. In summary. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a really good meal that leaves you satisfied and wanting even more afterwards. Also for those who are curious they also offer Halal and vegan options.
