Expensive Electronics “Gone Missing” Multiple Times, Terrible Customer Service Experience!December 2019 Amazon Return: $350 XBox X was shipped through this store and was never received by Amazon. This item was dropped off without packaging, so it was clearly identifiable as an XBox X (per Amazon return instructions). We had to fight back and forth to get reimbursed.January 2021 Amazon Return: $500 CPU was shipped through this store was never received by Amazon. This item was also dropped off without packaging, so it was clearly identifiable as expensive electronics (per Amazon return instructions). I’m anticipating another long battle to get my money back. (Amazon return)My experiences with this store have been terrible! Judging by the owner’s responses to other Google reviews, it’s seems there is a certain culture at this location - starting from the top.
I was shocked to learn that they charge you five dollars just to print out a prepaid shipping label on paper! One sheet of paper - Shipping already paid for by the company I am shipping to - How does that make any sense? I have printed from here in the past and they never charged me that much before today. I’m guessing it is just a change in UPS policy as a whole and not the fault of this one particular store, but I still think that’s outlandish. I was returning a $10 shirt but after having to pay the five dollars it barely felt worth it anymore.Edit: The local library is offering free curbside printing during COVID and typically charges like 10 cents per black and white page in normal circumstances. Staples will charge you around 15 cents per page. Take your business there instead if you need your prepaid shipping label printed out before sending mail.
I have been using BC UPS for over 5 years now and have never had a disappointment with service or staff. In fact I’ve had exceptional on both! I recently moved from Michigan to Utah. I had a very expensive sculpture that I did not want to wrap and hand carry or send with moving company. The cost was not cheap for them to take care of this for us, but I had all faith it would arrive in the same condition. Ken the office manager suggested before he take it for wrapping I take a couple pictures of it showing it’s pristine condition. Great idea Ken.Unfortunately, once it left the Battle Creek UPS it was out of its protection. Once we arrived in Utah and opened our package we found our expensive sculpture was broken. Heartbroken as it is no longer replaceable, I called Ken at BC UPS Store. He was very apologetic and filed a claim immediately! From there all I can say is Ken, the Office Manager always handled my questions and concerns never handing me off to another employee. Within 6 weeks after we filed our claim Ken texted me and said the check was in the mail. I was so thankful that I used their facility and would continue, as this could have become a nightmare without his persistence with Corporate and this claim! I’m in gratitude and highly recommend this UPS and it’s outstanding Office Manager, Ken!
I had a package get returned to me, after only 2 attempts to deliver to a persons house, just because there was a aggressive dog running around. I geuss it got to the store NEARLY A MONTH AGO and they never bothered to call when it arrived even though they required my phone number to be able to ship. Also costed $53 to ship a 3 pound package from Michigan to North Carolina 🙃 outrageous.
I have utilized the Beckley Road UPS Store for the last several 3-4 years or so. During this time I have been more than satisfied with the services used. Bob and his staff are very flexible and willing to go above and beyond to support my request and service my normal mail, shipping, and other similar business needs. They are always willing to accommodate any special request if at all possible. Given the fact some of my request have been quite challenging and out of the norm in terms of shipping various items I have nothing but the highest compliments for Bob and his team. While the rules and regulations relative to shipping non standard items are ever changing Bob and his team are willing to dig in and ensure that the regulations in terms of Homeland Security are followed. I would highly recommend their UPS Postal Mailbox service as well as any of the other many services provided. They offer a strong value proposition coupled with an agile staff that is always super friendly and accommodating.Keep up the great work and great service.Jason Smith
This store has the most amazing customer service! I went in to ship a prepaid box off and Ken and Fitz were awesome. They let me know that it had to be taken to another store and they also let me know that the other store wasnt currently open, as it was later in the evening..They saved me time and gas!I feel that they gave me excellent customer service. I actually called the owner, Bob, and told him how happy I was and I will definitely be back (plus tell my family and friends)!
I wish all the stores in Battle Creek had the kind of customer service that Bob and Julie provide at their UPS store. They have the best staff who are always courteous and efficient. I never worry about my packages being correctly and on time. I have shipped over seas and domestically. They are the best!
Awful experience. Please do not use THIS particular UPS. I have been using UPS for many years between Amazon returns and just returning things back in general. I live in Fort Lauderdale, Fl and have had nothing but the BEST experiences. NEVER have I been charged for tape. Maybe that’s the policy but they prob should rethink that. At least I’ve personably never been charged and I watch them tape up my packages in front of me. And not just Fort Lauderdale but multiple UPS’s as well. And have seen them do the same for others. So maybe I can’t blame the workers bc they are just following policy but seriously, what a joke. I will NEVER return to this UPS. I completely understand and agree with the low ratings. And for the record, I personally don’t have a Google account so I have to use my fathers.
I had to ship a package back to amazon, when I arrived at the store today the young man had a mask only covering his mouth I said the masks don’t work if they aren’t covering your nose. He looked at me gave me a grunt and did not fix it. Don’t even bother making them wear the mask if they are not going to wear it properly. I will find another location from now on. I am in Kalamazoo often it’s not a problem. I wish I had snapped a photo, I will from now on.Update, I went in this store today 10/26/2020, to give them a second chance and guess what. An older worker was not behind his glass partition, but in the middle of the store with, you guessed it, NO Mask. What is wrong with you!!! It’s a public mandate!
I have used this store for several years. I would like to Compliment the staff. They have very strong customer service skills. I had a big box returned with prepaid label. It was a little heavy. I carried inside and put it down the at the floor. A gentleman came out asked for help. I tried to put the box on the top of the counter and he told me NO. “ You need to put on the scale” I told him I had prepaid label. He said “ it doesn’t mater because I don’t want you crash the counter.” And he made me moved the big box by myself and put on the scale and he wasn’t even need to scale it. It would be only 1 star. The reason I give 3 stars because the services fast. I hope they will treat their customers a little nicer.
Ive dropped things off they forgot to ship for weeks. Take things there to ship and every time they want to box everything over again and charge a ton. No thanks. Ill ship from home from now on.**Edit, you forgot to ship a large direct to garment printer and I have an email from the owner apologizing, as far as the box goes the Tower road location had no issue shipping it. Keep blaming customers**
I would not return to this store if it wasnt the only one in Battle Creek. Rude customer service. A Label a company mailed me was cut off a bit and they couldnt accept it or something. That is fine. I said I had the label in my email and if they could re print it for me. If it was like $1 charge it wouldve been fine. Mind you it was not busy in the store at this time, it was 1pm in the afternoon. So anways he tells me if he needs to print me a new label it would be $10. I was like what in the heck??????A shipping label costs like not even a penny probably with their bulk orders. Then he started going on and on about how it takes labor for them to print the label. Youve got to be kidding right? Seems like nobody wants to do anything nice for anyone these days. I would avoid this UPS store like the PLAGUE if I were you!
This is the only place I ship and print from anymore. Top notch customer service. All of the employees know me by name and always greet me with a smile. The staff is very knowledgeable and has made shipping, big print jobs, projects, etc. painless and stress free. Thank you guys. You’re the best.
DONT do business at the Battle Creek UPS store, a package of mine was accidently shipped there and they told me if I wanted to pick it up I had to pay them $25, I told them no and they then lost my package. I had to file a claim with UPS. They are dishonest and I would advise against having anything to do with them, period.
Ordered package off Amazon that was due to arrive Friday. I wasnt home so I was notified that my package was going to be delivered to UPS access point (this store) the next business day. (Monday)So today (Monday) rolls around and the package status now says: 07/18/2016 9:14 A.M. Unable to deliver to UPS Access Point™; will reattempt delivery to UPS Access Point™ the next business day.How can you not deliver to your own store?? UPS is probably the least customer oriented business Ive ever had to do business with and much to surprise they are somehow getting worse. They could have just left it at my apartment complex office but they decided to use this UPS access point service which appears to be useless.
I was not able to ship my package. The store didn’t have wifi so I could not get my qr code for an Amazon return. The clerk also informed me that I couldn’t ship my merchandise in a shoebox, even if it didn’t have any tracking numbers on it. He was completely confused when I offered to purchase a shipping package. I took my package and left. I will drive to Kalamazoo before I trust them with my package.
Do not go hear if you need some electronic devices shipped. The store manage or supervisor has no clue what they are and they will make u wait for long time to verify with corporate just to ship everyday item like phone or phone battery. Bad service. Just go to Tower Rd or Staple for faster service. This place needs to shut down or provide better training.
Do Not go to this location if you need electronic fingerprinting done. These people are amazingly inept and have wasted three weeks of my time at this point.I made an appointment and went to the store, only to be told the system was down and to come back a different day. Fine, inconvenient but cant be helped. Went back a different day and they scanned my fingerprints.Fast forward three weeks and I find out the agency needing my fingerprints never received them! I call this morning to find out what the problem is sorry I cant help you, the system is not working right now. Right back where I started, minus $60 and the three weeks I have spent waiting for my background check to get done!What a bunch of BS, next time I will drive to Kalamazoo and save myself a lot of time and headaches!
I had ordered 2 products on amazon, received them and were of poor quality so I contacted amazon and they said they would be sending prepaid labels to have them returned 100% free...to my suprise acouple days later ups came to my house to pick them up...I didnt have them boxed up so he gave me the labels and told me to bring them to any ups store and they would mail them...I took them into the store and the guy at the counter said that it would be 4 dollars to ship them! I said its supposed to be free! He said well thats if theyre ready to be shipped, I said all I need is a few pieces of tape! Your gonna charge me for tape? He said either you pay me or buy a roll of tape! Thankfully the store next door...ava nail salon let me use afew pieces of tape and I brought them back in...even then the guy said they werent taped enough which I had each side of the box taped!!! BAD BUSINESS!!!! I WILL BE TELLING THIS STORY FOR A LONG TIME!!!
The employees at the store are not properly trained with the hazardous material UPS requirements. They are not only unproperly trained but incredibly rude. UPS corporate apologize to me for the way they treated me and the inconvenience they also said that the UPS store is not properly trained
Hard to understand the poor reviews. Ive used these guys alot and they are always polite and provide good service. I needed receipts for all of my shipments for the year and the Mgr took time to print them out for me. Much more service oriented than the post office (where employees are angry and short with you. Imagine for a moment asking a Post Office employee to print past receipts for you) and typically cheaper to ship moderate sized boxes via UPS. This is a solid store.

2022-05-22I mainly used this store for Amazon returns and they have been awesome. I bring the return in unpackaged and they just scan the bar code and Im out of there most times in less than a few minutes. Staff is friendly. Never had an issue!

2021-12-20Item sold through a vendor. Shipping and transaction fees paid for in advance. This location still charges a fee for packaging even though the box was supplied and shipping charges are already covered. This is the only UPS store that I have ever seen do this. What a scam.

2021-09-08I expected a delivery today. The tracking information said it left the Battle Creek facility at 5:30 am, and was out for delivery and would be delivered by 10:00pm. The next thing I see is that my package arrived at the Battle Creek facility at 7:30pm. What the hell? Maybe the driver was too tired to continue with his/her deliveries. Anyway customer service at this facility stinks!

2021-04-13NOT AMAZON FRIENDLY!!! Returning defective products and other Amazon merchandise. UPS Store is listed as the return option for Amazon purchases. They should be ablentoscan the bar code of your phone and prep the product for shipping at no additional cost. This store however does NOT acknowledge that agreement . I was asked to pay for the shipping materials and to pay $2 for each label that was needed. Spoke to the one in Portage and they said if they can scan the code off the mobile device there is no issue as well as the packaging would be fine if it arranged in the label (This is where you just need to pay attention to the return options for the products you bought). Will not use this store for Amazon related services.

2020-03-09I use this location often to ship my packages and they are always friendly and provide the best customer service! Any time I need a special size box they always help me decide the best value for me to ship it at and at the most affordable rate. Don’t hesitate to have this store fulfill your packaging and shipping needs!
