The owner and the employees are a delight. Always professional, helpful and friendly. I visit this location at least once a week. The owner is very kind as he often helps me to transport boxes to my car. A pillar in the community, the owner enjoys supporting local non-profits and events. This store is definitely an asset to the area.
Entered location, not greeted. One male employee assisting/flirting with a customer. Said employee yelled to back of store for the other employee to come out and assisted me. Other employee never came out, two more customers entered location. For a total of four who needed assistance. After I asked male employee if the person he called is coming up to assist us, he finally came over. This location is poorly ran and doesn’t care about their customers. I will not be returning.

The worse ups store ever! Got here at 6:37 to pick up my items that ups said was available to pick up. They close at 7 through out the week . There is a fat lazy red weave wearing employee who decided that she was going to yell at me through the door saying they were close when really they were not . Another employee stood there and did nothing the time that the store closes is posted on the internet as well as on their doors. The items I was supposed to pick up is for Thanksgiving which is tomorrow. The linebacker snapped lady had the nastiest attitude and proceeded to try ignore me and not open the door. I will be taking this to the highest level of authority. I work in customer service and this was completely lazy and and disrespectful not just to themselves as employees but to UPS as a business.
Staff gives the run around on shipping items. I have shipped the same item from this location multiple times with no issue and then the one time the manager is there, it can’t be done. She just didn’t want to do. There is no reason I should have to go to the hub to send a package that I have already sent and received multiple times, locally.
Had a package delivered to there store, only because the company I ordered from said it was a option. And the store is on the way to my children school. This UPS store charged me a additional $5 to pick my package up, because she said I didnt have a po box and I used their address. RIP OFF!! DO NOT USE THEIR STORE!! I REPORTED THEM TO THE COMPANY I ORDERED FROM, WAITING ON A RESPONSE. WILL ALSO BE MAKING A REPORT TO THE REAL UPS COMPANY!!
My husband went in to this UPS on Grandriver to return a pair of boots to Amazon. Shiping is Free the only thing needed to be done was to print a lable from the UPS costing $1. The woman who was helping him couldnt or just wouldnt help print the lable so he could make the return. She has horrible customer service skills, when I called to ask her questions as to what happened and I got her rude answers over the phone. This is the 3rd time we have been to this location, only because its close to our home. And everytime its the same nasty unhelpful attitudes we receive. This company needs to take a very long look at the people they hire and the way the people that work here treat there customers. If I could give No stars I would because sadly thats what they deserve
Upon visiting the Grand River store I was denied service for not having on a mask and gloves. I had to drive a 30 minutes to the Dearborn store, where I was taken care of within 5 minutes. I understand safety precautions, but instead of degrading customers just close down.
Their email update regards package arrivals isn’t good, I have PO Box there. Their communication regards package arrivals or the expiration date of the box is zero ... it also took me 6 months to get my key 🔑 can you believe it ? they keep forgetting things , they basically don’t care to you enough...Also the price for PO BOX is so highAlso their PO Box isn’t secure at all , when you open the box you can easily see they can watch inside the box from the inside ... its kinda intimidating environment ...If I didn’t have to do business with them because of their perfect location probably I wouldn’t
These guy are the most unprofessional corporation Ive ever had an encounter they were supposed to drop off my bank card within 3 to 5 business days and I had my bank card in 4 months and when I called up there they told me there was nothing they can do they wouldnt even try to help to resolve the problem I emailed them all they do is try to keep running me in circles dont ever go to UPS you wont get your package
The worst passive agressive Custumer service that you can experience..I called the main office and they told me that my package should be at this location by 1 or two pm.I called just to make sure so the guy there didnt know whats going on therefor he told me that my package will be delivered on monday..he tried to avoid helping me by sending meto the main office which I already called and they sent me to him..I told him that my package is supposed to be here.the man was repeating words like he didnt careyou will receive your package on mondayso I knew that he aint gonna help..I said thank you and hang up..now Im going to the location myself to see whats going on.I cant wait till Monday because I have to have this package today and its already too late.
This UPS STORE... IS THE BEST... IVE GOING TO THEM SINCE 2004 FOR COPIIES OF MY DAUGHTERS HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION PICTURES THEY ALSO DID MY SONS 2005 AND MY DAUGHTERS 2006. NOW IM DOIN GIFT & XMAS BOXS WITH THEM. THERE TRULY FAMILYILL BE THERE AGAIN NEXT. THEY ALL DESERVE A RAISE... EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!1LUV

2022-05-24I just came in to the store to drop off a package and was met by a Freda Washington and was not greeted. She just told me to place my item on the counter. The last who was already in the store assumed she was talking to her because she didn’t see her greet me AT ALL. When the next person walked in behind me, they were greeted with no issue. I’m really tired of the treatment given to us, by us, in our neighborhoods. Get another job if you’re incapable of providing exceptional service to EVERY client that enters the store. Next time I need to drop something off, I’ll just take it across the street to CVS since that’s also a UPS checkpoint.

2022-04-27The worse! Not the place to take overnight closing docs! ***Closers beware *** Literally had to go next day after drop off to pick back up and take to main shipping center nearby to ensure delivery. Parking sucks but that’s the city’s doing. Smh

2022-06-23Hello my name is Patricia Womack and I came in one of the Detroit Michigan ups stores this took place@ 18701 Grand River Ave Detroit MI 48223. I came into this location at 12:00 pm Monday evening to have a paper faxed over and UPS store Employee Erin jones approached me with her cell phone device up to her ear she seemed to be arguing with a friend or someone because her attitude was very hostile when I asked if you guys were to fax my paper she goes on to unprofessionally use vulgar language cursing using profanity and she then proceeded to tell my daughter that they don’t fax and I know that’s not true because I’ve faxed with that location before I would really like for someone to file this claim to have her possibly terminated because not only was she acting professional on this date 6/20/22 there has also been times my friends have came and told me negative things about this worker as well again her name is Erin jones working at the 18701 Grand River Ave Detroit mi 48223 location she was very unprofessional and rude towards me and other customers-Patricia Womack

2022-01-17I spent over $300 to ship something internationally. At no point did the customer representative tell me there would be additional duties and fees for the package upon arrival. The merchant refused my package because they didnt want to pay $400 to receive my return item, valued over $1200. Now UPS is trying to charge me $800 to ship it back to me (again never mentioned this would be the case) and I am out the $1200 from my return and dont even have the product to try and resell it. I cant think of a worse customer service experience I have ever had. If I pay $350, I expect my shipment to be able to arrive somewhere. The manager also hung up the phone on me without offering any solutions. I have tried three different corporate UPS numbers and none of them have the option to speak to an actual person. I never had an issue with UPS until now, but I will never be shipping a single thing through UPS again.

2021-12-15Probably the worst UPS Ive had to dealt with. No manager on duty for the entire day, no fax available and the whole system was down. Good thing they are a franchise because if it was a mom and pop shop their doors would closed.

2021-10-06I’d rather go to the Secretary of State twice and get a tooth pulled before I elect to drive here. The customer service is atrocious. I gave it a few tries... thinking maybe it was the day or maybe I just got the wrong person. I was wrong. Nasty attitude. This last time...I walked up and greeted the woman and she cut me off to tell me she “didn’t need all that” she just needs to scan the amazon codes. Whew. Took all of my decorum to not react adversely. However, its on par with the way this location treats their customers every other time I’ve been there. No surprise. AVOID this place like the plague... its worth the drive to another location.

2022-01-12Walked in yesterday to mail a package and a man walks in with a machine gun in broad daylight. Everyone ran out the back door. I fell over the packages trying to leave out as well. I will never go anywhere near this place again!

2021-05-05Treated me like sugar honey ice tea! I made the mistake because I never tried to send documents to my email before and when I say nasty! Even after apologizing, the rep didnt finish the servicing me yet I paid and instead of getting nasty back I just gonna bite the bullet on this one...Dang!!! Its taking every bit of me not to go back and raise hell!

2021-01-07Customer service is terrible here she do not respect the dollars that the community spends with her and she has a lack of integrity when it comes to the level of service that she provides for paying customers like myself. I bought a box to ship something from this location today. once I get to the counter after I’ve already packed up my box and pay for it she told me that I could not ship my box at her store. I will not return to this location and I do not recommend doing Business here
