Been here through 3 different management. The team here is doing so much on improving the community and its finally feeling like a home. The staff has been so nice and take the time to listen. The apartments are a gem starting to finally blossom into the luxury place it should have been. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to make this a place to truly call home. Need to mention we finally have security day and night. The waverly on the lake is truly a place to call home. We appreciate you. Keep up the amazing work taking care of the apartments and all the special events you do for our community. Thank you so much 💓
I love the Waverly! All of the new changes going on are great! I heard the new clubhouse is opening soon and I can’t wait! The gym looks awesome through the window. Summer body 2022 here I come. I have decided to challenge the office staff Jabira, Aaron, Noel and Taylor. To summer body goals and because they are so awesome they agreed! I completely enjoy living at the Waverly!
I have a a better experience than expected my 3 years of living here. Management is constantly making improvements to our units and the property in general. I really appreciate that management has pretty much remained the same and are familiar. Just to be exact Steven and Lindsay are a God send to the residents here at the Waverly on the lake . They are awesome!!!
I have been living at The Waverly for sometime now and I must say the office staff are a complete joy! The newest addition of Aaron to the office has been great. The mixed it up a bit there was a lovely staff of all women including Jabria, Noel (who and left and returned that makes me happy) Taylor and Olivia! They make living here a complete joy. I know I can call the office and any one of the can help me. Thank you Waverly Team.
I haven’t moved in yet but I’ve got to say I can’t wait! Haneen has been a great help with the process. I can’t believe how patient she is with me. LolI’m not going to lie, I’m nervous about moving in after reading some of the reviews. But those reviews are what makes a place better. (Fingers crossed) 😊***UPDATE 8 months later***After moving in I’ve had Issues that have become a love hate relationship and hate is over weighing the love. Broken promises is one.Was told I’d get a stainless steel fridge and got a white dented up one. Told I’d have an up to date washer/dryer and have a dinosaur aged one ( it works, only takes 1 1/2 hrs to dry)My first winter here and my living room is sooo cold. Come to find out the thermostat for living room is missing. In photos that wall socket cover is where the thermostat is supposed to be. The person that put the cover there knew about it why wasn’t it taken care of before me moving in? All the other rooms with thermostats work double because of freezing living room DTE bill is $220.00 this month. But I do appreciate the maintenance giving me a space heater till they figure what to do. And it’s working well.My carpet looks nice but walking on it with socks on I kept feeling hard spots. Pulled 15 loose nails out since move in. So I’m guessing when they repaired balcony the construction crew dropped nails and didn’t pick up right away(rusty ones too) Maybe it was the same crew that covered up thermostat space instead of replacing it.I’m not going to blame management for the issues here as they can’t see what workers do. It’s not like they are going to hold their hand in every apartment. I wish i could give the one that swept everything under the rug a BIG ZERO star rating ⭐️ Waverly on the lake has great potential just wished the construction crews they hire had the same. But the things I love here are the breakfast to go they had in summer. The ladies and gentlemen in office are so kind on phone regardless of how stressed I can be about situations. And the quickness maintenance is when needed.I still would recommend Waverly community as they seem to help when things are brought up.Just don’t bring it up in Email they won’t respond.
I’ve been looking tirelessly for somewhere to move, as my lease is ending. Was having no luck until I found Waverly on the Lake. I called to inquire about pricing and availability and was met by a very kind lady by the name of Dawn. She was SUPER attentive and patient, and I very much appreciated her willingness to help. Dawn is AWESOME!! I’m sold! Waverly will be my new home!!
I’ve been on the search for an apartment in the area and I stumbled upon The Waverly on the Lake. I spoke with Jabira and she was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She explained the various restaurants, services, and even the schools that are available in the area. Her knowledge and experience helped me to quickly decide on The Waverly as my home. I am truly appreciative for her help!
This place is awful and anyone who is looking for an apartment here should run. The management team only cares about themselves. When we first moved in our air conditioner was broken on day 1. Only for this place to say that air conditioning is an luxury. It took management 5 days to fix just for the air to break again the next summer. Which took them over a week to come fix. Then to have bed bugs for months and the office staff not caring and having to spend my own money on supplies to make sure they were gone. Waverley on the lake is the absolute dirtiest places to live. I would recommend finding elsewhere. 1 star is very generous to give them. The new management team thinks changing the name from Harbour Club will have a difference of the quality of their apartments.
We’re having a GREAT experience so far! My move in date was delayed by several days which cost me hundreds of dollars in cancelled mover fees, additional fees with my former apartment complex, additional moving expenses to move myself, and lost income from taking work off to do so. All because of a ceiling leak in the master bathroom. Shockingly, after the delayed move in, the leaks still are not fixed! The air conditioner leaks like a faucet when it runs on any temperature setting and multiple ceiling tiles have crumbled to pieces from water damage all over my clothing and shoes. The carpet has been soaked since Sunday and a mildew smell is settling in. I made a maintenance request Monday morning and another this morning for an emergency maintenance request after the first one was ignored but after 6 hours nobody has shown up. The staff have always been polite and professional with me at the leasing office and it’s unfortunate the repeated maintenance issues take away from that.
Avoid this place! Thought it was going to be a good place to stay until now. Management is so focused on their “rebranding” they disregard all cares of the people that live here. Charging high rent for apartments that always need maintenance. Will tow your car with no warning and leave you paying $450 to get it out. Just moved here and already can’t wait to move out. At least the leasing office people are cool and helpful!
I wasn’t really expecting much from a first apartment. I didn’t do a lot of hunting but saw the beautiful views and lay out and as soon as I visited the apartment I was dead set on getting. Have been here for just over 5 months and have absolutely fallen in love with this place. First few days I had some water issue that were fixed the next day. The office keeps you informed with everything going on as far as improvements and such. Absolutely recommend living here!
Ive lived here for awhile now, and all my concerns and/or problems have always been taking care of! The staff in the leasing office have been awesome with me and I appreciate every single one of them who have helped me even with pandemic and so understanding and caring!!! Maintenance does a great job as well and give them.credit because we know how busy everyone can be its important to be understanding to everyones needs. I love it here and area is beautiful! I recommend Harbour Club to anyone whos looking for a nice place to live. Thanks again to the staff and everyone else who has made my experience great!!! 🙂
I recently signed a lease for these apartments, and while I was impressed by the newly renovated units and the available amenities, the process was wayyyy too time consuming. The staff was nice; however, from the application payment to the lease signing, it took way too long to move along the process. When I would call and check my status, everything would always be in place, my agent just failed to contact me or didnt correctly check if everything was done on my end. Very happy to be signed however heads up if you are considering leasing here that you most likely will need to call and make sure everything is running accordingly. If it seems like its taking too long, youll probably need to call them instead of waiting for them to get it together.Edit: i wouldn’t recommend. Apartment has many issues and I’ve only been here a month and maintenance takes too long even with emergency requests.
I’m in the process of moving in, and so far it’s been great. Apartments are beautiful and spacious, and the leasing office employees are very friendly and helpful. A lady named Haneen helped us through the move in process, and she answered all our questions well and was very pleasant to speak with. Highly recommend working with her!
I haved lived here for over 6 years and have to say I received the best service from Olivia Porath! I am coordinating buying a house with the end of my lease and she responded quickly with all the information and options!!! Honestly, she is a great asset to your team! Thank you, Olivia!!
The rent payment system recently changed and I was having some trouble logging in. I stopped into the office for some help and Jabira quickly assisted me. She reset my password and reminded me of my email address used. Without me asking she offered to set up my automatic payments for future payments. Thank you so much!
I toured and applied with Jabira, she was really patient and personable. This is new to us so we were constantly asking her questions and repeated ones at that, she was so nice regardless and was enthusiastic about it! Move in day I also worked with Haneen in the office she was so welcoming and made everything go smoothly. I’m so happy I’m a Waverly Resident!
I recently toured here and at first I was ready to walk out after being greeted by a not so friendly lady with a shorter hair cut (forgot her name) but I toured with Haneen and let me tell you, this young lady is so beyond friendly it was amazing, She had so much get energy and vibes, it was like she knew me and was taking the time to explain everything to me and not rushing me. She was very knowledgeable of not only the apartment complex but the area in general. Only reason I did not rent here was due to the distance from my new job but Haneen alone will make me come back if life allows it... All staff need to be like her AMAZING!!
This place sucks. Theres no other good way to put it. Maintenance is never timely. Front door lock was broke for about a year. Packages are constantly stolen. Quality of the apartments is extremely low. Golf course no longer exists. Pool, gym and clubhouse have been under construction for an unreasonable amount of time. Communication sucks. Overall, avoid at all costs.Edit: This place is invested with bats. Also our AC unit is broken for the 2nd time. Its been several days since it was reported to maintenance with no sign of being fixed anytime soon.
I had the cutest and most kindest young lady assist me. Her name is Jabira Holden. She was very pleasant, efficient, and surprisingly promoted as she could be, while multitasking between potential clients. She made me feel so welcomed and appreciated for even coming there. Then she was just as excited about the approval. One can tell she takes pride in her job. An excellent ASSET to have on your team. This is my complete evaluation of Ms. Holden. Thank u very much.
Ive had an amazing move in experience at the waverly on the lake. The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything. Haneen was my leasing agent, she was very welcoming and warming. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good experience with a new move!
The new management has been great. They have been doing alot of improvements to the grounds making it look and feel beautiful. Better then the past management. Everyone in the office are super nice and ready to help with any questions. Been here 6 years and I love it. Improvements keep coming. Beautiful place
Sadly, it seemed so promising. The apartment we were shown was completely different from the one we got, we werent allowed to see it until the move in day, and all our leases ended right as the one started so we had no choice. It was never properly cleaned, our toilet that they refused to fix for 4 months had a CANDLE TOP in it, and every time we called maintenance theyd just plunge the toilet like weve never heard of doing that before 🙄. It was completely different carpet and their way of hiding the imperfections was to just spray paint over every single thing in this apartment, even the damn outlets. The walls have this awful planking that looks like its from the 70s that wasnt in the apartments we were shown, our dishwasher was broken on move in day and that also took them 2 months to fix. Our patio is halfway rotted since the roof was leaking (they at least fixed that but not the sketchy part of our patio), not to mention the roofers left trash in our trees months ago that is STILL there. What a great view. Trash in trees right? Oh but the only thing maintenence ever did fix quickly was the track to our blinds, the least useful thing out of everything. Weve had bugs that they have said theyd spray for 3 times until we gave up trying to get maintenance to listen and just sprayed raid everywhere. Weve had no AC the ENTIRE summer, and their portable units they gave us (that STILL dont get our apartment under 80-76.) made our DTE bill go from around 60$ to FOUR HUNDRED (400!!!!) DOLLARS and they WONT compensate us for it OR take any money off the rent even though part of our rent is saying all the utilities worked. Also, theyre waiting to fix the AC until winter so we wont need it anymore and itll become the next renters problem. I believe thats what happened to us too. And Actually, our rent went from saying itd be 948, which it was for two months, up to 1240. The only things I have that arent complaints are that the floors and walls are thick so Ive never heard any neighbors, and all the neighbors are respectful. I belive all these problems are to do with the new owners since they switched the same month we signed the lease. This is our 6th month living here. I have waited and waited for them to fix these problems so I would be able to give a good review, but thats not the case. Name on the lease is jFarley. So yes im on the lease.Edit: I contacted the person who replied to this review and they have since tried to work through every problem for the most part. We have gotten compensation for our outrageous DTE bills, and our EMU credit that disappeared when we first signed the lease. Our rent also dropped afterwards, but he said it never changed but it did go down some, so who knows. My only complaint as of now is that at the end of everything he brought up a solution for was him asking me to delete the review as it doesnt accurately reflect what they can do since (i) was contacting the wrong people.. It was never brought up to me that the maintenance number isnt actually employees of Harbour but instead an outside company so they never referred anything I said to the main office. But I had also tried contacting the office numerous times just for the phone to ring and no amswer. But I am just appreciative that our problems are finding solutions and they are working with us now. I highly suggest that if youre having problems to just email the email they posted below this review.Edit 2: we just received a late fee and were told nobody would ever do that for you and now we owe 1100+. I seriously wouldnt suggest living here at this point. I have tried everything to give them second chances and the lack of communication from the inside seems to be the main problem. Theyre saying no one would ever give us credit. When the General manager is the one who gave us the credit. This is like a circus.Dont order any packages to your apartment either. Or do porch pick-ups. Ive had 3 packages stolen within a month and now cash from a porch pick-up. It was clearly labeled not to them.
Ive lived here for almost 2 months now. So far, Im loving it. Yeah, there are some bad reviews but I think everybody has their own experiences. The only thing that I was uneasy about was the rent. I had been looking online pretty much everyday at their website and they had been advertising the rent to be $764/month, and I told the leasing agents that I wanted the apartment that was that price. Well I guess I had misspoken and said I needed to stay under $800/month, so I got an apartment that was $796/month, which I was like okay, might as well. Miscommunication. It happens. But, so far I love my one bedroom apartment. Its great.Whenever I see the maintenance men walking around or driving around they all smile and say hi to me. So far, everybody has been friendly to me. I dont usually call the office if I need something, I just go in. It just seems a lot faster that way!But like I said, everybody has their own experiences!! Im just telling mine!
Very nice people, Office workers were very pleasant. My boyfriend got approved and was excited about getting this nice apartment. Now they called and asked him did he want the “upgraded” unit for a little more so he definitely thought he was getting the apartments they ONLY advertise on the website. To his disappointment it was not the same and the apartment had a wet smell. They offered another unit for more money but no upgrades like the ones on their page that’s advertised. It’s not about what I thought I picked but what was misleading, no email or view of the apartment. Plus you have to get your money back in a check😒 this wouldn’t have been a bad review if he knew what to expect from the start and didn’t have to pay all this stuff and set up dte before knowing where you would be living...all good the false advertising is a bit ghetto tho🤷🏾♀️🤣
Since moving in 11/19- dishwasher was broken for 3 weeks before anyone came out to even check it- car broken into- 3 packages (and counting, lease doesnt end till Oct 2020) have been stolen- electric bill ranges from $90-130/month during winter ($40-80 during summer) even though I keep my apt at 63 or lower and turn off heat at night and when Im out of the apt. New renovations of course does not include improving/updating the patio doors. Only aesthetic renovations being done, NOT functional.- water and sewage is an additional, separate charge not included in rent and is very expensive- only 2 washer and 2 dryers per building which charge the standard $1.75 per wash and per dryApartments themselves are nice if theyre fully functioning and you can afford a high electric bill. New management seems to be trying and leasing agents are nice to work with but theres still a ways to go before this complex becomes and ideal place to live, especially longterm.
Been here a YEAR and they have not successfully fixed a single issue we had here. Theyve been in and out of our apartment six or seven times claiming they were going to fix or replace our ac unit because it broke in the middle of last summer. They have never done anything but come in claimed to have diagnosed the problem. And then we never hear a peep out of them after that. Same with the toilet its overflowed 5 or 6 times theyve come in claim to fix it left and its broken soon after. Also the dishwasher which is leaked water on three separate occasions and even after they replaced the unit it broke two months later. Their service department is absolutely a joke would not recommend if you ever want to have something working after it breaks.
I love Steven and Noel! Our unit caught fire and Steven was right on top of it to help us with whatever we needed. Noel was very helpful with getting our paperwork all set up to transfer units. Only not a five star just because of the stuff we’ve found in the new unit that was poorly done in the renovations. But overall it does seem they are trying their best to turn this place around.
I’ve toured many locations in the past and recently within the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area when it came time to move off campus. There were places which I visited that offered subpar service at best!Upon reaching out to this location, I spoke with Jabira (sp?). She was knowledgeable, kind and professional. I mostly enjoyed her willingness to answer questions and follow through on promises. If you are considering this location, ask for her!
The only reason they get one star from me is because I can’t give anything less than that😡 I have been to this property twice inquiring about a one bedroom apartment, the leasing agent always tales me that he would call me back with the information that I Ask for, but to avail. If I am having this much difficulty and I’m not a resident, what else can I look forward to except for very high rate and no courtesy from this company! I have since found out The leasing agents get commission predicated on the unit they rent, so if you expect to be treated well you must rent that day, so they can make their commission.
December, 19th, 2020SaturdayReview of Harbour Club Apartments, Belleville, MIIf applying for or moving into Harbour Club, I highly recommend Taylor Mosson. She has been invaluable to me my entire move-in process. Every single bump along the way she has smoothed over with ease, from rescheduling our in-person viewing to a Zoom viewing (I had transportation issues) to accommodating releasing my keys because the DTE system was down. Anything I need, she is prompt to respond via e-mail or text, she’s charismatic and concise with her communication, and willing to be flexible and compromise with my needs. She’s extremely knowledgeable about all the complex’s amenities, policies, etc. and has no issue responding quickly (sometimes even during her off-hours). Whatever they’re paying her, they need to give her a raise! 5 stars for Taylor Mosson! Also, my apartment is absolutely gorgeous! Taylor was incredibly attentive to my needs, and I could not be happier with my new space. The price is reasonable, and I have had very few complaints. I love it!Mercedes S.
AJ is literally the best! He worked so hard to get me moved in a few days and stayed after hours to help me. He definitely gave me the best experience out of all of the leasing staff I have encountered (3 years).I also love my apartment AJ of course made sure everything was nice and clean before I moved in.
Apartment searching is always a drag, but Haneen made the experience so fun! She manages to be so professional and personable at the same time. I appreciate how much time she takes to explain everything in detail. She is such a pleasure to meet. The Waverly on the Lake is a top pick because of her!
Avoid this place, rent is way too expensive for apartments that constantly need maintenance (and they are slow to respond to repair requests)! They will tow your vehicles without warning and leave you paying $450 to get it out. Just moved here and already can’t wait to move out.
I’ve tried to really give this apartment company a chance to redeem themselves, my first apartment after coming out of my parents house. As a current tenant I did not want to put my apartment on blast but since I see that responses are immediately tended to on here I’m going to say that is the lowest most unorganized, disgusting and falsely advertised apartment I’ve ever seen in my life ! I’ve been here over a year but only due to leasing contract , NONE of my move in check in list issues have been fixed or tended to nor has ANYONE followed up from my several attempts to contact and inquire about maintenance and book-keeping . My lease will be up in January and this has been by far the worst apartment I’ve ever imagined. From my building not being tended to all the way to random fees on my account that I’ve still have not been told how they’ve come about but somehow they can leave notices on building’s without even trying to notify or contact tenant beforehand. I’ve tried to address my concerns directly but yet to receive direct response or even suggested resolutions to my apartment issues. Thanks,Please don’t respond for the Internet....
Iv lived here for a while now, i havent had any problems with staff or neighbors. The staff is very helpful, the apartments are well cleaned and nice looking, the cost is not expensive for what you get at all. They have nice parks, a dog park a pool and a fitness room! I always order packages and iv never had a problem with people stealing them and never have had a problem with my car getting broken into (even tho those things are not the offices fault) I defiantly recommend living here!
I would have given zero stars to Harbour club apartments if their was an option to do so. This is the worst place I have lived in. The apartment buildings are unclean, the locks on the main entrance doors don’t work. The worst thing is the maintenance department. Harbour club has the most incompetent & unprofessional maintenance department. I have had a maintenance request for more than a year now & it’s still not resolved.Harbour club just wants you to pay your rent on time & do nothing on their part to make your stay comfortable. They seem unwilling & uninterested in resolving any issue & just give you false promises.I would suggest anyone who has not yet signed a lease here to not stay here & look for better apartments.
I recently had a showing with Jabira and she was nothing short of AMAZING! She answered all my questions while I was there and when I had additional questions I called to speak specifically to her. She made sure my application process was simple and understandable. I’m looking forward to living here based on this interaction alone.
This is the first review I have ever left on anything and honestly Im only leaving it because of all the negative ones on here. my experience was and is pretty great so far, the office staff was helpful and professional And fast when I got my keys, even though it was a weekend! For the price You get a lot its pretty good sized and has an amazing view with in unit laundry! Thats a pretty good deal in my book. And all the reviews on electric being expensive In the winter is because you dont have a gas bill which means there is no gas furnaces only Electric or electric reheat boxes which run high amps which makes your bill high! But is also safer than gas so take one or the other, its Not because of faulty equipment or bad insulation or windows etc. Yeah the apartments are a little dated and the property could use some upkeep but from what I understand theyre under new management, give it some time. oh yea and the parking lot is being fixed as I type this. but again for the price in my opinion you cant beat it. its like a diamond in the rough just needs a little work!
Wrote this review a couple of years ago and much has changed since then. No more dark parking lots, roads have been repaired, boat docks are all brand new and the new company that owns the place is making a real effort to bring back this beautiful complex. I look forward to so many more changes in the near future!!Such a beautiful piece of property but slowly it is falling into ruins. No maintenance to speak of, whole sections of the complex are in the dark with outdoor lighting that does not work (and hasnt for 4 months), roads that are crumbling with foot deep holes everywhere, boat docks that have been condemned, and apartments that were built in the mid 70s and have never been updated. Maybe somebody will buy it someday and fix it.
Terrible they rarely fix anything and the place looks close to a dump. Some of the office workers are nice and come are rude and incompetent. It would be nice to see a genuine management company, who cares more about the residents. Seems like people go here when they have no option or are fed into the false advertisement. Rent is way too high for what it is. This place would have potential if they cared more and took more action to put it together.
To be honest I was uncertain about moving here because of all the negative reviews. But after one year here, I can say this was a positive experience. In my tenure here I had three things that needed to be fixed/replaced. 1. A toilet chain and this was corrected. 2. My oven heating rod and this was fixed. 3. A light bulb in the bathroom (I haven’t called so it’s not fixed). Besides that I have not had any problems with my apartment/apartment building/laundry room/parking. No apartment complex is perfect but this by far was one of my better ones.
Air conditioning hasnt worked since the day i moved in and were in the middle of july it is extremely hot inside of my house, call about it at least 2/3 times a week and every one says they will get back to me n never do! Washer also hasnt worked since i moved in and no one has done anything about it as well. these things were not working the day i moved in! not right at all
I am moving to Michigan from California and I came to check out the area and place with Haneen. She was Great and answered all of my questions with details as well on the area. I am really thinking about moving to this place. Nothing like water Lake near me to Remind me of the California water. I was satisfied and impressed. Thank You
If you are a military service veteran DO NOT APPLY TO LIVE HERE. This place is terrible. Have had work orders in since July that havent been handled yet. My bathroom ceiling has literally concaved in now Im showering in a condemned environment not to mention my children and I are now breathing in mold. Also rent has gone up out of nowhere and now they are charging for water separately, this place is about nothing but taking advantage of people and getting away with robbery. The office agents are not customer friendly seem to have attitudes when you ask them to do their job. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Ive lived here for just over a year now, and honestly its probably at best a sub par place to live. Expect your DTE bill to run anywhere from 150~350$ (Its normally on the high end up 250+ for a 1 bedroom), My heat & AC were broke for about a year which was unpleasant living on the 3rd floor with multiple maintenance requests. Hallway lights just got fixed last week, it had been dark for once again about a year. Management gave someone the wrong address & had my electric/cable put in someone elses name without warning. Phones are always down and maintenance is super slow. I would say to only move in here if its the only choice you have.
Maintenance: Chris is a wonderful, hilarious and hardworking dude. He’s very pleasant and kind. He’s usually in and out quickly with whatever order I put in but his work is spot on as well. I’m glad we have him in the maintenance crew. I’m not saying break all your things intentionally just to see what I’m talking about, but if it happens, I’m sure he’ll be over right away with some good conversation and a few laughs. 👍🏻👍🏻Office staff: Super helpful and also very charming and hilarious.
I have never written a review but the experience was that bad that everyone should be warned. I would give 0 stars if I could. My family and I were considering moving here and we were in a rush to find a place. The office itself is very unprofessional. No privacy. We were dealing with someone and we’re very rudely interrupted multiple times when something was being explained to us.We were reassured that we would get a full refund of the application fee if we were denied. The process took a while and we paid 250 dollars. We were denied but then my father asks how we will receive our refund. The girl says that we will receive our refund by check in 2-3 weeks or possibly 30 days. Not once were we ever told the refund would be by check. She also tells us that they will call us when they receive the check to give us the option to come pick up the check or to put the check in the mail. As you would imagine we were not pleased. We were purposefully mislead just to make sure we would apply. We couldn’t do anything about it so we left. 2 weeks go by and I start calling to see if they had received our refund check. Long and incompetent story short: we ended up having to drive back up from Harper woods all to be told they called us (I told them to update the contact number, LINDSAY said she would and did not) to tell us they received the check. Conveniently once we were there we were told that their “directive” changed where they just mail a refund check and don’t give the option to come pick it up. We were told that everyone who didn’t come pick their check up that morning was sent in the mail and to go to the post office up the road to try to catch it. (That statement in it of itself contradicts that the directive had changed) Even the post office said they have heard a lot of bad things about this place.Whatever you do: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. We were lied to and deliberately deceived. When we went there to get our check Lindsay made sure to stay in the back room so she would not have to confront what she had done wrong. And icing on top of the cake? The FULLY GUARANTEED REFUND? No it was not the 250 dollars we had paid. It was only 200 dollars. They run this line saying that they’re under new management and that they’re fixing all of the old problems. Do not fall for this because it is simply not true. I believe it is a blessing in disguise that we did not end up living here. Do yourself a favor and go to Westlake apartments. Not even a 3 minute drive away and are leagues and bounds better than here.
Told me my first floor apartment would not flood because of the drains. Turns out the drains were clogged but it wasnt their fault apparently. After losing $500 dollars+ of property the insurance company they recommend you to get wont cover for a flood and they told me to pretty much to screw off with asking them for compensation.
Taylor was incredibly welcoming and warm, not to mention having an extensive knowledge on the properties as well as delivering comfort and communication more than properly while exploring the properties, she was the most helpful in regards to having questions about the properties and polices!
Let me preference this review by saying Im not the type to complain, Im a hard working man and understand nothing in life is perfect, however this review is true, FACTS ONLY. Where do I start? Parking lot is terrible (for over 2 years), electric bill is out the roof ($300-400 during winter months), my HVAC stopped working so they installed a wall space heater to replace my HVAC. I was cold and uncomfortable all winter although my DTE did not reflect that. My Central air is currently not working. Yes my apartment has a washer and dryer, however it does not work properly. In order to dry clothes, I have to restart my dryer 3-4 times (no its not packed). I called the manager multiple times and never received a call back. My unit has thermostats in each room to control the HVAC, however only one worked (located in the master bedroom). Last but not least they charge us a $20 garbage service fee that nobody utilizes. basically you have the option to place your trash outside your apartment door and someone will come pick it up. NO ONE EVER PICKS-UP THE TRASH AND THE DUMPSTER IS LESS THAN 15ft AWAY. STAY AWAY!.. I pay $952 to live uncomfortable.POSITIVESLOCATION
One of the worst places to stay! Have gone through the entire month of July with iffy air! Have gone a couple of weeks without cold air in my apartment! Place dozens of maintenance request, only to get someone at my apartment 3 days later! The worker would do a quick patch up job, then my air breaks again the next day!
To start, I should say that Harbour Club. At Providence has been the absolute worst place I’ve worked with in terms of apartments. Their communication skills and time management are horrid.I am currently working on getting my money back for applications that never went through while management never worked on getting ahold of me to let me know I’ve been approved for an apartment. I was told while filling out the application that part of it would be refundable, they mislead me by not informing me of the time constraint either. Due to being ghosted by them I found somewhere else and wanted the refundable portion back only to find out that I had 48 hours to do so from the time of applying (4 business days ago). They say they will return my calls but take over 4 hrs to do so, and I was the one to actually call them back actually. As I am currently getting the run around, I advise no one to rent here or waste their time with the fools who run this joint. There are other apartments that will treat you with respect, this place will not. I want to give no stars.
Terrible experience, lived here for 3 years had over 15 water floods here, in every room too. Halls are moldy and so are window frames, porch has been destroyed for 6 months now. Also staff will fine you any way possible to make a few extra bucks. Bottom line dont live here! Im finally moving and am so thankful to get to live somewhere actually decent.
Ever since I moved in its been problem after problem. They dont work with you at all. Maintenance takes forever to fulfill the request slips. I had no AC all summer long which was pretty disappointing when I had to write the request 3 times before it was done. My initial rent amount was different on my welcome letter compared to now, which is pretty harsh to swallow but I need a place to go. Only been here since May. Lets just say Im not happy and will not be signing another least.
I would like to advise anyone who is apartment hunting to look elsewhere. Harbour Club would be the last place to rent , unless issues are corrected. Maintenance is horrible . Outside is not maintained , as well as inside. The hallways are dirty and the odor is overwhelming. Apartments are not updated, only cleaned enough to rent. If, these apartments were updated and maintained properly , this would be a beautiful place to reside.
After my last review a lot has happened. We had paid our rent in full but somehow the system that Harbour Club uses to check rent payments stated that 30 dollars of what we paid needed to go back to our bank and they added a 75 dollar fee because the money needed to return to our bank. Long story short we went to talk to the lady who is in charge of our account and brought all the information that shows we paid it and that our bank said they never sent a message requesting the 30 back. The lady then stated that she would have IT fix the problem right away and it should disappear from our account. She also stated that she would notify us when the process was completed. This was roughly 2 weeks ago. She has yet to call us and the 105 now has a 70 dollar late fee attached. This is extremely frustrating.
This place is so terrible it’s unbelievable! I wouldn’t recommend this apartment complex to anyone! And yea you won’t we moved out ! You guys don’t take care of anything! You have water filled sealing’s and mold in the apartments ! I saw pictures when they had the the people come clean the air vents and dryers ! You will be reported to OSHA !
This place is a mess. I have lived here for over 5 years and the experience has only gotten worse. Ive had a broken toilet since I moved in, doors warped to the point of not closing, my patio is falling apart, water cutting off randomly, and for some reason no one seems to pick up a ringing phone. I even stood in and called the office, only to watch the employees give it a glance and keep moving. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy.
I personally think that the Apts Itself is gorgeous. The “New” management company makes it HARD To Move In. It’s either they don’t communicate AT ALL or they will do it last minute. I called dang near everyday and was told my Leasing agent will give me a call back. She NEVER Did... I sent emails to her no response. I physically drove up there once before to talk to her in person and she sent me to the waiting room and made another agent deal with me. I had to put off my move in twice because they either sent the information I needed Day of or day before. It was when I said I no longer wanted to move in when I was able to speak to a manager. Dear God If You are Reading this And you plan to live here RUN AWAY. Don’t Give Them A Penny.... DONT DO IT
Honestly, Ive payed more for worse appartments. Walls were thick enough that I never heard the neighbors, maintenance reacted in reasonable time, and, because I had a bottom level appartment, heat from the unit above me gave me a heated ceiling. Granted, I only lived in the area for less than a year and this was the only place I lived before leaving the state, but I feel like I got what I payed for.
I would not live here unless you have no where else to go. This place is overpriced for no reason. The maintenance service here is horrible. I have not been able to use my bathroom for almost a month because the maintenance team has failed to complete my work order. They have done work on my apartment just to get by only for the work to no be complete. The energy bill is out of this world in the winter, say $250 for an apartment. Living here has not been fun.
Hello everyone, I want to state that I tried to get a place here about two months ago and the lady tried telling me that they had no rooms open til the 31st of the end of the month when her website said that they had 6 rooms open that day! Then when along and told me I could not view the room I would be purchasing until the move in date? No I wasn’t thinking much about it because I just needed a place so and quick, as soon as I started filling out the application for the apartment I put my cousin on with me and that’s a extra 50$ and I didn’t want to spend 200$ on a application so I tried to remove him and as soon as I went to go ask the lady to help me have him removed she decided to go help out another family. So waited then she said she would and he ended up never getting removed and I still had to pay the full 200$. So after all is said and done I end up heading out there is a man on his phone and he told me he was on he phone with his lawyer and he was telling him how there all holes in the wall and this and the next but I didn’t even bother to listen to him. I just kinda brushed him off and went about my day. Now two weeks after this I get called back telling me that my cousins application wasn’t fully filled out when my aunt had helped him fill it all out there is no way that they missed his birthday and his social security number which the lady had stated he was missing then when we get there after we made another appointment for this I had to talk to two different people thinking the lady I was origanlly planning everything out with was the one I’d talk to but she decided to come into the room after the lady told me that both me and my cousin had no credit so we couldn’t get the place. That day on May 17th I told the lady I’ll be back to get the money back on my card. I was informed I have 7-10 business days. It has now been 12 and my money is still not on my card. Everytime I call up there I get put straight to voicemail when I can call off another phone and they go straight threw with help. You take what will with this information. I hope that this saves a lot of people out of having their money taken and from a okay looking apart that’s way overpriced for the inside. Oh yeah that first apartment they show you is NOT ANYTHING like what the ones they are going to give to you. I didn’t even get a choice to what room I wanted to spend my money. 😂smh
Noel literally saved the day. I’ve been overwhelmed looking for a place then found Harbour Club and was misinformed about the unit I was getting by someone else but Noel saved my entire experience and I moved in today and couldn’t be happier. She has been very transparent through the whole process!
Hello, we recently went on a tour of the arpetments with the lovely Haneen, she was a wonder to be around, very helpful and answered all of our questions with ease and was very professional. She showed us multiple locations including virtual. All around professional staff. Thank you Haneen and thank you Harbour Club!
AJ is amazing helped me and my boyfriend get thru all the application paperwork and took us to two different apartments after only asking to see one because i couldnt make up my mind, he was patient and has a great personality . I highly recommend talking with AJ if you are interested in a apartment. Hes great!!!
If I could give this place less than 1 Star I would. Went in for my confirmed appointment today and found out that they didnt have the deceancy to call or email that it would need to be rescheduled. They wanted me to wait an hour after my appointment time after I drove 40 minutes there. If this is how they treat potential residents I cant imagine residents are treated any better.
Do not rent here horrible maintenance my dryer has been broke for 2 weeks I’ve put 3 requests in for them to come out and fix the dryer . I have kids and I pay them to rent a washer and dryer from them and yet they still disregard that . Also the rent is never the same every month it’s something different
THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE DUMP!!! Wish there were ZERO stars. We were shown apartments with toilet seat missing, drawers missing, rusted pitted sinks, cheap mis-aligned cabinets, pitted nicked up cabinets, plywood flooring on balconies, hallways smelled like smoke, apartment numbers fallen on the floor. An ABSOLUTE DUMP!!!
Do Not Live Here. Read that again. Do Not Live Here.If you need an explanation because you cannot just trust a random reviewer:I watched everything I read in theses reviews (now most all of them deleted) from stolen property, waiting for maintenance for months, to even bats happen to my friends who live here. Do Not Live Here.Only bonus is you get to test out your shocks every time you drive their skiing mogul of a road they still havent fixed. Sadly this does not deter thieves from stealing people wheels, breaking into cars or even taking motorcycles.
Very poor maintenance no light in the laundry room poor ligjting in the storage area poor ligjting outside and hallways as well Needs improvement outside of the buildings I had my rent money automatically taking out of my checking account but always have issues of them not taking out Have to go to the office and complain about it Laundry room is always dirty They donr empty the trash when it is full Maintenance men always on the carts parked and on their phones instead od doing repairs Thinking about not renewing my lease herr
Im not understanding the lack of professionalism in this damn place Ive been approved then denied then my application was cancelled DO NOT waste you time nor money trying to get in this place its not worth it at all they owe me money And next time I wont be so nice the women I talked to she either always busy on lunch not there or helping someone I NEVER EVER get call backs from them the next time ima show up and show out period get it tf together 💯

2022-01-24Have lived here about 8-9 months and are loving it! Right on the service drive so quick access Ann Arbor or the airport/Detroit.Jabira and Olivia were so helpful moving us in quickly when our other apartment lease fell through. The maintenance team is responsive and respectful. Especially Anthony who has taken care of most of our maintenance issues, he works efficiently and is very polite, he goes above and beyond to solve problems! It’s great to feel comfortable with Waverly staff!Life is good here for us.

2022-02-26Extreme lack of communication. None of our maintenence requests go through. It has been dipping into the 40s in our apartment for 2 months now, and despite email exchanges and work orders, not even a temporary fix was talked about until today when we directly mentioned it. Broken/missing window screens, door screens that dont latch, and careless paint jobs are a couple reasons why this place doesnt quite feel like home. However the views of the lake are beautiful, I love the area, and the renovated common spaces and gym are quite nice.

2022-06-02Honestly not a bad place to live especially if you’re by yourself. Location is good, every time I’ve had a maintenance issue it’s been taken care of. Rent is a little overpriced right now but so is everything else in the market, Also I pay for reserved parking spot and dealt with an issue of someone constantly parking in my spot, security and office was of no help so I’ve found my own solution and put cones whenever I leave to avoid people parking in my spot. Besides that the area is pretty nice office is friendly, and they allow pets which is also a plus.

2022-05-19Overall:Avoid this place at all costs if you can. I moved here as a last resort with my partner. We found that they do not care about residents and everything is pretty much a disaster here.Maintenance:Maintenance is hit or miss, they rarely fix things. When they do, it’s a patch repair or half-done. Ex. when I reported our fire alarms constantly going off/not working, they simply removed all of them from the building instead of fixing them. This was left for 7 months until the fire dept. forced them to fix it. “Renovations” are the same, they hire as cheap of contractors as they can, contractors do half-done work that takes forever to complete.Management:Management is atrocious. They refuse to be held accountable in almost any situation, they’re not queer-friendly, and most of all, they don’t care about you or your comfort. They will almost always gaslight you until you give up on trying to address whatever it is you need to be resolved, making it impossible for you to get assistance from the only people who can and are supposed to help you out.Cost:The rent is ridiculous, and increasing, squeezing every cent out of you for below basic housing. Your electric bill will be absolutely through the roof the majority of the year as the buildings are old/uninsulated. Expect to pay around $300/month. Expect ice and mold all around your doors/windows as well and no, they will not replace the doors that cost you $300+ a month in electricity and mold growing all around the frame.Location:The complex location falls between three airports, railroad tracks, and is right next to the highway. The area is extremely loud, if you plan to spend time outside, it is not an enjoyable experience and you’ll likely need to go to a park or somewhere else in the nearby area to relax. The “walking” trail is just a short muddy two-track road that is left unmaintained and unlit. My experience:My partner and I moved across the country to this complex and it was a disaster and continues to be. We communicated with the office about our situation and when we would arrive to ensure a smooth move-in for ourselves as the trip was extremely long/stressful as moving always is. The complex did nothing on their end to ensure that we would have a smooth move-in. The leasing office was not where the signs/map showed us but in a random apt building that my partner found by calling and walking around the property. When we finally had our keys, the apartment was nothing like what we signed for/were told it would be like. It was full of bugs, missing door handles and fridge handle, chunks of wood in the tub, water-damaged ceilings, uneven laminate floors (not carpet as promised) that looked like an optical illusion, no A/C, leftover decor, spray-paint balcony walls, and more issues. They got us a hotel and agreed to show us a different apartment. Our other “option” was to be completely houseless and stranded. The new apartment had plenty of issues and was not move-in ready either; sticky black residue all over cabinets, candle wax in the tub, yellow residue dripping down walls in the bathrooms, electrical outlet hanging out of the wall, kitchen drawers broken, fridge shelves broken, bugs, door handles missing, no hot water in bathrooms, rusted water shut-offs, and more. We had to transfer EVERYTHING to this apartment after already having switched everything over, which was unbelievably stressful. Movers scheduled for old apartment had to be changed last minute, we had to extend UHUAL rental another day, and take work off. We called the office about the uncleanliness of the place, we were told to get a cleaner and we would be reimbursed for it. We sent over the bill to which we received response that they never said that and they would not be paying for it. In the end, they paid, but we had to argue with them. This whole process was defeating, I’m not even capturing the full scope of everything that happened. If you’re considering living here, look elsewhere.

2022-01-30Really nice apartment but cheaply made!! I’ve lived here for a few months now and man the noise is absolutely ridiculous! It’s not that my neighbors are being excessively loud it’s just these apartments are cheaply made! I can hear everything in my apartment like conversations from my next door neighbors, even neighbors who live under me, I also hear everything in the hall way, everything in the parking lot. It’s just ridiculous and the office can’t and won’t do anything about it and it’s very frustrating cause I get woken up out of my sleep a lot of the time because of how clear I can hear the sound.

2022-04-03So I live here for about a year now & my apartment almost caught fire on my birthday, because of the AC motor that’s in the closet ceiling needed to replaced, & filled the entire apartment with smoke I had to grab my 2 kids and call 911.The kitchen flooded because of the sink backing up, electrical outlets don’t work, bugs galore, old appliances in they classic apartments, HIGH DTE BILL IN THE WINTER MONTHS $300-400 just for a 1 bedroom. It be so cold you have to keep the heat on 75 degrees because of the balcony doors are not well insulated. Maintenance has always answered my requests in a timely matter & fixed things that needed to be fix right away. Maintenance gets 5 stars from me. The office staff is friendly. I wouldn’t recommend living on the 1st floor because my balcony is not useful at ALL it just there to collect people’s trash that they throw on the ground and debris from the renovations that they are doing on my building somehow lands on my balcony lol. The view from my 1st floor unit is terrible its no grass just dirt. They are pretty expensive apartments To. I needed a 2 bedroom and it’s $1275 for a basic unit. But It’s a safe area, the police department is close by grocery stores, restaurants, & shopping centers are close by.

2022-01-19Ive been at this complex since it was called Harbor Club. It was great when owned by the old Management Company. Being a resident at this property is horrid now. Maintenence orders go ignored or delayed for months at a time, Construction work is going on every other week without notification (if you work from home this is a BIG) issue, and those in the main office dont seem to care about the residents at all.

2022-06-03If you like highway noise 24/7 and train horns in the middle of the night-this is the place for you! B.Lipponens review said was spot on. No cleaning before you move in..just a rush to take your money.New owner alert. The new owners are running the place into the ground.Changing the name was to get rid of a bad reputation and misleading with views of the lake but cant go down to the lake. This used to have a golf course and driving range. Now they just mow a path and call it a nature trail..muddy, bug infested and lame.Just a below average complex and dated.Being on a golf course was great! That is a selling point..nothing like playing 9 holes in your backyard! Bring the course back!!!UPDATE: I dont sign my papers Frugal Traveler. Their responses with we dont have someone with that name here are probably meant to deter you but it would be unwise to give a real name. What you wrote is not what was told. You used to use water to water the course and grass from the neighbors across and let them use the pool and fitness center for YEARS..then a new owner took over and took their priviledges away because we no longer needed the access. Pretty lousy so now they hate us.Now..the grass watering we are charged for.

2021-05-14Excellent place to stay. I took a tour on Wednesday with Aaron. He was a great rental agent, and answered all of my questions. All the staff are very helpful, and you can tell they love their job. And they are very honest about the costs of staying at the Waverly, and their approach has no pressure with great customer service. The units are clean and they have begun a massive updating project on their buildings and apartments. Its nice to be shown apartments and know you will be given a clean, up to date unit if you did choose to live there. No worry about bait and switching. The area is so peaceful and the grounds are clean. They have different price options. I only wish they were about 10-15 minutes closer to my work. If they were, I know I wouldve applied to stay there that day.

2021-04-28I have lived here over 20 years. I am very proud to be a part of the upgrading processes that are being done. I find the leasing staff to be very helpful and friendly in organizing and addressing any concerns I may be having. Dawn was great at following through to complete my requests.I recently had a lot of repairs and upgrades completed by one of the maintenance staff-Jim. He was friendly but most importantly efficient and took great pride in his work.Jim did an excellent job! Best maintenance person I have had in years.I look forward to continuing my residence- home here and witnessing a growing team effort..Long time resident- Loreen
