Bruce and team did a fantastic job restoring some of our most valued family heirlooms. Not only did he listen to our wishes and deliver on those, his customer service and attention to detail was exemplary! I cant say enough of how pleased we are with the results. We have a few more pieces and are excited to have Bruce work on those in the new year...
Our dining table and chairs needed to be refinished, and the chairs needed to be reglued and upholstered (including one chair that had totally collapsed). Not only is our broken chair now functional, but all of the chairs are sturdy, and the refinishing work looks phenomenal. Thanks so much!
Bruce, and the whole team at Timeless Art, are true artists and craftsmen. I live in the Chicagoland area and brought my cedar chest to him in Grand Rapids to have it fixed up and refinished. I heard wonderful things about him from family and friends, and Bruces work did not disappoint. The chest honestly looks better now than it did when it was new. Bruce has now worked on several pieces for my Mother, and I was blown away by those results as well. I was honored to take a peek in his shop and the work they do is truly amazing.I cannot recommend or praise Bruce, and Timeless Art, enough. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
Bruce and his son Corey did an incredible job refinishing my entire Nichols & Stone bedroom set. I had found them via a web search and decided to give them my business based off of their spotless google reviews-- Im very happy I did! Bruce embodies the craftsmanship of high quality furniture repair in Grand Rapids, which was once the furniture capital of the world. In addition, Bruce was extremely accommodating. I was in the middle of a cross-state move when I dropped of the furniture. He stored the pieces for me and made his hours flexible to allow for our commute to pick up the finished product. Bruce and his family are honest & hardworking, and theyve perfected the skill of furniture care & repair. I will be bringing a few of my other pieces to Timeless Art. Pictures attached.
I wish Google would allow more stars, five simply isnt enough. Bruce and his team are true artists. They took my heirloom walnut table and completely brought it back to life. Four generations have sat around this table and now it will be there for my grandkids. I would highly recommend Timeless Art, and will be using them for all of my future furniture restoration needs. P.S. I live in Iowa and Bruce made the pickup and drop off a breeze. He even was nice enough to meet me at the MI/IN border. Top notch service!!!!!
Thanks to Bruce for restoring life to my beloved family heirloom! I have a WWII era Tiffany-style lamp my grandfather brought back for his mother from his tour in the Philippines. The years had taken a toll on its intricate metal fixtures and electrical wiring. Bruces expertise and craftsmanship were able to update the wiring and metalworkings...at a very reasonable price and on the timing promised. Thanks Bruce for sharing your craft. We could not be more pleased!
I am from Ohio and found Bruce out of the blue on Youtube. Let me just say this...if you have an antique piece that needs refinished do not send it anywhere other than to Timeless Arts Refinishing. Google needs a six star review for his work. I trusted Bruce with restoring a 1942 Zenith radio that was my Great-Grandfathers. It was in bad shape after being in an attic in severe hot and cold for years. I took a gamble by sending this to him, and it came back nothing short of STUNNING. I had no idea that the veneer even looked like this until he did his professional work on it. I was updated regularly with videos of the restoration, and Bruce always got back with me when I had questions. The pictures speak for themselves. My kids will now enjoy their Great Great Grandfathers radio for years to come thanks to Bruces impeccable art and talent.
Beyond pleased! Bruce not only is incredibly talented at what he does, hes quick and very helpful. Just by speaking with him you can tell this is a passion of his and the finished product speaks that as well.My husband and I have a beautiful oak table and chair set that needed to be stripped and refinished. My husband was able to do the table by himself but due to a time constriction and other factors the chairs were left unfinished for several years. We finally decided to look into paying someone at least strip them for us, which was a task all in itself. Finally, we found Timeless Art. At first we only wanted the chairs stripped and were planning on finishing them ourselves. After speaking to Bruce and seeing how great of a job he did on just stripping them, we decided to have him complete the chairs for us, and could not be more happy.Below are after pictures. I can honestly say, I wouldnt consider going any place else.
Bruce refinished a vintage Early American Chair my Mom purchased new in 1965. It turned out beautiful! He changed the color back to the original avocado paint, antiqued it and re-glued where it was loose. It now looks brand new and my 90 year old Mom is thrilled with the result. Thank you Bruce for making this chair beautiful again!
Bruce and his son, Cory, surprised us with a Christmas Eve delivery - our refinished table and chairs. We gave Timeless Arts a pretty tough task. We asked them to take a sample of our new wood floor and match that to our 20 year old scratched up solid cherry wood table and chairs and paint the legs black. We were shocked at how beautiful our dining pieces turned out! They are totally transformed and match spot on. The craftsmanship and quality of work is impeccable and to have the thoughtful delivery service on Christmas eve was over-the-top service. We highly recommend Timeless Arts for all refinishing/restoration pieces. Thanks so much Bruce and team! Have a blessed New Year!
Bruce and Cory did an outstanding job on our 1920s dining set. The process was painless from pick up to delivery and they even arranged to have the chairs reupholstered for us. The price was very reasonable for the quality of work. Highly recommend and thank for turning our Craigslist find into a beautiful showpiece in our home.
If you need any furniture refinishing done you are fortunate to have found Timeless Arts. Bruce and his son Cory love their work and it shows in their results. My 60 year old mid-century walnut dining table and chairs went into their shop looking tired and worn and came out stunningly beautiful! Their customer service is excellent, results superb and they pick up and deliver! I highly recommend Timeless Arts for furniture refinishing.
We called Bruce at Timeless Art in a panic and with a hope that he could help us restore a cherished antique dresser (from the late 1880s) back to its original state of aged beauty and distinct color, after a veneer was put on that altered the look of authenticity. Thankfully, he and his wonderful team knew just what to do. They got to work on it right away and had it back to us, beautifully restored, in just a few days. We couldnt have been more pleased with the results. We would recommend them to anyone!
We had two cabinet doors that were damaged and stained by a cleaning product. Bruce paid special attention to the removal of the stains and expertly restored the doors to match the rest of the kitchen. We are so pleased! We highly recommend Bruce! He is a pleasure to work with and cares very much to provide an excellent experience.
We live in the metro Detroit area and needed some furniture refinished/repaired and came across Timeless Arts on Google and were thoroughly impressed with the reviews we saw. We ended up having Bruce and his son refinish/restore five pieces of furniture ranging from a 100 year-old ornate dining table that needed extreme restoration to repairing a badly scratched TV stand to a bedroom set that we wanted in a different finish. Timeless Arts work was outstanding. The prices were fair and reasonable. The work was completed on time and we are delighted with how the pieces turned out. We will definitely be using Timeless Art again.
Timeless Arts in Grand Rapids did an amazing job of refinishing my antique radio. The original 1936 finish was in very bad shape, but Jenna was able to refinish it to look like new again — actually better than new. Everyone is very professional and responsive to questions and emails. And the work was done in just a few days. My experience could not have been better and I’ll definitely bring more items here in the future.I’ve also seen several other radios, clocks, and pieces of furniture belonging to friends that have been restored and refinished here in the past few years. All have looked absolutely amazing. If you are looking for someone you can trust with refinishing your item, I’d highly recommend Timeless Arts.
Timeless Arts is a great family business that we would recommend to everyone! Bruce & Cory were very friendly when they came to our home to pick up & deliver our table. They were very quick to do a great job for us even finishing earlier than they quoted. Jenna did the actual refinish of our table and she did a fabulous job. Our table looks as good as it did when we bought it! We would definitely use them again!
We had great great grandmas dining room set refinished about 7 years ago and now an old church pew refinished with Timeless Art, and they do not disappoint. Both turned out beautiful, and the whole experience working with Bruce and his 2 kids was seamless. Very professional and definitely a love for restoring furniture. This family business is a A+++ in my opinion.
Bruce and Cory did an unbelievable job restoring my antique table and secretary. Both pieces had great sentimental value had been damaged during a break in of my storage unit. Bruce helped me through the insurance claim and then picked up my damaged pieces. They brought them back last Saturday and I was speechless. Both pieces were restored perfectly and were simply beautiful.I recommend them completely and will go to them for all my restoration projects in the future. From start to finish it was a wonderful, hassle free experience.
I contacted Timeless Art regarding my grandmothers living room table set that had been grossly mistreated by yours truly. I was told by others that I had spoken to that the leather tops were beyond repair and would have to be replaced with new. Timeless Art said, they would do their best and boy there is best is better then I could have ever expected. These table that I thought may have to be discarded, turned into the most beautiful pieces in my home. I could not be more happy with the workmanship, the professionalism, pr the kindness that the father son duo offered. Thank you for giving my grandmas tables new life. I feel so good that I have a second chance to love and care for something I was too young to respect the first time. She meant the world to me and now I have something special of her in my home to remember her everyday.
Timeless Arts, Bruce and Cory Lach, refinished a maple dining table and six chairs for me. My set was in good shape but the original finish color did not go with my new kitchen cabinets. I supplied Bruce with a cabinet door sample and he and Cory did the rest. I live in the Metro Detroit area and though travel time to Grand Rapids is about 2 1/2 hours, I can say it was definitely worth the trip. We couldnt be more pleased with the results.
Tops on my list after recently moving to Grand Rapids was to find someone to refinish my dresser. I am very picky and wont trust just anyone with my furniture. I found Timeless Arts on the Internet and after reading the reviews, decided to contact Bruce. Im very glad I did. After meeting with Bruce and seeing both his shop and some items he is working on, my decision was made. I cant wait to get my dresser refinished!
Bruce and son, Cory, make such a wonderful team! Bruce has such a great technique that Im pleased that hes teaching it to Cory, so great results will continue on in the future! They both are great to work with & his results are beyond expectations! Our split pedestal table had such a dark finish, it looked drab & dirty. Timeless Arts Furniture made it look light & fresh and a piece I am proud to own.Im looking for their next project for them to do for us!
Bruce did a great job on a tricky restoration. My sofa has carved griffins in the arms, which had their noses broken off and lost. It was critical these were done correct or it ruins the piece. He did an awesome job on the noses and the piece overall . I will be using Bruce on other restoration projects I have. Nice to meet a refinisher/restorer that knows what their doing!!
I am so happy I chose Timeless Art to refinish some of our treasured furniture. Bruce and his daughter Jenna were friendly, professional, answered all my questions and were timely with pick up and delivery. Jenna refinished 4 pieces for us, and they all turned out absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend Jenna and Timeless Art.
We found Bruce on the internet while searching for someone to refinish our furniture that was damaged during our move. You always have some doubt when youve never worked with someone as to whether they can actually deliver what they say they can. We just got our furniture and a damaged picture back and it is beyond any expectations we had. His work is simply magnificent! I would have no qualms about recommending him to anyone and plan on letting our friends know who did our repairs. If a six star review was available he would get it. If you lived a distance away it would be worth the cost of shipping to have Bruce and Cory do the work. One of the tables was inherited from my mother-in-law and it now looks better than it ever did since weve owned it. We also had a hand painted picture that meant a lot and Sandy did a super job of restoring it. They come highly recommended by us and we will be using them again in the future.
So, today Bruce just dropped off my finished dining room and hutch set. Wow!!! I could not be more excited and pleased with the workmanship and quality of the job that he did. Dining room set was light oak and hutch was a maple - they did not match before he started. I had Bruce finish these pieces to match and I cannot believe how beautiful the set turned out. We had a very nice quality dining room set that would have been difficult to replace but it needed to be refinished and we wanted an updated look. I had the base of the table painted black with the top remaining a wood grain finish - same with the chairs and the hutch. It is incredible!! Thank you Bruce!! (and Cory :-) )
Bruce did an outstanding job refinishing our antique mahogany dining table. The table top veneer was heavily damaged from water stains and from years of neglect. In addition, one leaf was split and delaminated, but Bruce returned it to its original condition. He was also very gracious to fit it into his schedule so we could have it ready for the holidays!
I could not have made a better choice than Timeless Art. Bruce and his son Cory were friendly, professional, explained the process thoroughly, answered all my questions and were timely with pick up and delivery. The end result is that they took an old, neglected maple dining table and turned it into an a thing of beauty. The table is stunning now. Im sure your results would be the same. I highly recommend Timeless Art.
I contacted Bruce about sanding, staining and sealing some stair treads that my husband and I had purchased from Lowes. My hope was that he could match them to the already existing banister before we had them put on. Bruce was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and easy to work with. His price was more than fair and he and his son Corey even drove out to my place to make certain that the stain color was a great match before finishing the job. As if that all wasn’t enough, he then had the treads delivered back to our house AND gave us the number of a contractor to help us install them. The stain he put on them looks great!! I have a landing platform being delivered soon and I’ll definitely be having Bruce stain it to match the rest!
Richard D Osbornin the last week-As the owner of the East Lake walnut & marble dresser now restored to its original glory and magnificence, I could not be happier or more grateful to Cory and Bruce for their wonderful renovation. As a young boy I used to gaze up at this piece in my Grandfathers bedroom with an almost cathedral-esque awe as it towered high above. My Grandfather was born in the early 1890s and the dresser had belonged to his Father and may not have even been new when he acquired it. As Cory put it: this dresser was around when Abraham Lincoln was President and that it is one of, if not the, nicest pieces he has ever worked on. His loving care and respect have added an additional radiance to my appreciation. Bruce and Cory are a magnificent team; the entire process was run smoothly and professionally; they picked up and delivered plus provided beginning and ending videos of the restoration. I could not give them a higher rating. The dresser is a family heirloom which I will pass down to subsequent generations knowing that, with Bruce and Carys help, I have added to its life and beauty.Stephen ShoemakerStephen Shoemakera week agoUnfortunately the back of the antique chair that my wife acquired from her great-aunt was broken in two places, and the finish was in a bad state. Bruce was able to repair the broken back and refinish the chair to an excellent condition. Its a fragile chair, and unsuitable for use by anyone other than small-stature people, but my wife had fond memories of using it as a young child, and was VERY pleased with the results. Thanks Bruce!Bonzo ZeppelinBonzo Zeppelin2 months agoBruce refinished our Rock Maple dinning room table. He got the color perfect and the finish is incredible! Then he hand delivered it to our home in Grand Rapids. The old doors had many layers of haphazard paint, stain and dings. He stripped the paint, bleached the stain out smoothed out the dings. With the fresh coat of paint youd have to look close to see they are different from the new doors. Thanks for the hard work, we are super impressed with the finished product.Mark IversonMark Iverson11 months agoGreat work and terrific people. Bruce did an outstanding job re-finishing an old family dinning room table and chairs. The table was a quarter sawn oak table with 6 leaves (big table) and 7 ladder-back chairs. The price for doing the entire table, leaves, and seven chairs was amazingly affordable. He even picked up and dropped off at no extra cost. I would suggest if you need furniture re-finished call Bruce. He knows how to bring furniture back to life at a reasonable price.
Our 20 year old kitchen table set was showing some signs of wear and scratches. I was shopping around and was liking new sets that were basically what I had at home. I did a google search of furniture refinishing in Grand Rapids and came across You Tube videos of Bruce refinishing some high end furniture and decided that I wanted him to do the job. He and Cory came out a few days after I called him to pick up the set and it was returned less than 2 weeks later. He did a wonderful job! It looks brand new! Im looking around the house for some other items I want refinished! They are so nice too. I highly recommend them.
Great work and terrific people. Bruce has refinished five treasured items for me ( item six is at his shop!) and the work on each piece has been superb. Every time I pick up a piece I drop one off. Bruce and Sandy are a joy to work with. I highly recommend Timeless Arts of Grand Rapids!
Bruce and his team did an absolutely outstanding job refinishing our dining room table and chairs. Even went the extra step and worked directly with an upholstering shop to replace our seat cushions. If youre looking for great workmanship - dont hesitate using Timeless Art.
I just received my refinished Baker dining room table that Bruce Lach and his son Cory of Timeless Arts Refinishing hand rubbed to bring back to its original finish. It is GORGEOUS and the the small Baker chest they did for me is like new again, too! I can recommend Time Less Art Refinishing wholeheartedly. I was not only impressed by their workmanship but also their customer service, friendliness, pricing, and integrity while working with them. I live in South Bend, IN and found the company on You Tube while searching for someone who knew what they were doing when it comes to refinishing high quality furniture. Their You Tube video was so impressive that I called and asked them if they would fix my table top. Bruce said yes, and they picked it up all the way here in South Bend, IN. When they got here, I asked if he could take my little chest too and refinish the top of that, as well and he said sure. They sent me videos of their work in progress and I was thoroughly impressed with all the steps they did to get the perfect results on both pieces of furniture. They get a 5 STARS PLUS rating from me and am already planning on using them again and definitely telling friends and family about their company. Thank you Bruce and Cory...I couldnt be happier with the whole process.....you are terrific!!! Jeannie Oren
We have used Bruce to refinish interior oak wood doors, changing the color from a golden oak finish to a darker brown finish. The quality of Bruces work is exemplary. The color, shading and finish Bruce provided us exceeded our expectations. And, Bruce is truly a wonderful person to work with in addition to being a true artisan. Simply put, trusting Bruce to refinish any wood piece that you have will be a decision that you will sincerely be rewarded in making.
Great experience! Had a couple of end tables and a vintage plant stand refinished...everything turned out amazing. We were fortunate enough to also see some of Bruces ongoing projects first-hand; the level of craftsmanship is incredible. We will definitely turn to Timeless Arts for any future re-finishing jobs.
Bruce repaired our table base for a designer kitchen table that was broken during a move. We were concerned that due to the location of the split, it could not be repaired and we would have to purchase a new table. He added braces to support the weight in a manner that is not visible and the table is good as new. He also repaired a broken bed side table that was 20 years old and it is now better than it was before. Bruce is very reasonably priced and demonstrates professional workmanship!
We live in Chicago and have a lake cottage in St. Joseph where I was doing some redecorating. I originally thought I would just donate the old bedroom furniture I inherited from my mom, as it was too dark and heavy looking for a summer home. I knew it was very well made, so my daughter suggested I have it painted and refinished. I found Timeless Art on Google and reached out to Bruce with my idea to paint and refinish a tall dresser and two night stands. I selected Benjamin Moore New Hope Grey and they applied multiple coats with stunning results. I also chose new hardware which they installed to complete the transformation. Bruce and Cory returned the items back to me within three weeks and even lugged them up the steep cottage stairs. The pictures on their website dont really translate to how beautiful my new furniture really looks. They do an amazing job!!
Bruce & Corey are a unique combination of artist & craftman! They worked tirelessly in our kitchen making it look better than I could have imagined! They know the refinishing business! Their passion for color & design elevated the entire process. We would recommend Timeless Art & these men of character to anyone!!
Bruce Latch is truly an artist. I have worked with Bruce restoring piece for both my clients and my personal collection of 18 century mahogany pieces and am always amazed at the quality of his work. From reproducing traditional finishes to reviving mid century items that were dated and drab... Bruce continues to amaze me. Bruce most recently restored a mid century coffee table that 25 years ago was produced by Bakers Milling road as an interpretation of a Ming Dynasty Style Table with a blonde finish that dated it terribly. Bruce gave the piece and entirely new life by stripping the table and refinishing it in a metallic lacquer finish that brought the piece into the 21st century while making the form a classic piece that will stand the test of time. Bruce is a Michigan Treasure ...
Bruce and his son refinished two pieces that are near and dear to me. They are antiques passed down from family members. The table, in particular, was in pretty rough shape when I gave it to Bruce. They came back to me in pristine, like new condition. Im so pleased with their workmanship. Their services are worth every penny! Im so excited to have these back in my home and look forward to proudly displaying them for many years to come!
Bruce refinished four chairs which had been on our sun porch for twenty-seven years, abused by too much sunshine, humidity, and occasional exposure to other harmful elements. Now, they look almost like new again. He is a gifted artisan and did a beautiful job quickly, efficiently, and for a reasonable price.
Bruce stripped and refinished my grandmothers two beds from Copenhagen, our favorite family treasures. It was a complex project, with 44 spindles, 4 end board frames and sideboards. Some repairs were needed: the mattress brackets needed recessing and remounting, some dowels needed replacing, and then stripping layers of very, very old paint. They came out looking like new, with a beautiful natural finish. Bruces attention to detail is amazing. Thank you so much.
I had broken a leg off of my baby grand piano when I tried to push it on carpet (which Bruce has since instructed me not to do). I met Bruce when I was working in a retail store and he agreed to come out to my apartment and look things over. He was able to re-attach the leg so that it is now firm and strong. His fee was very reasonable. He also gave me some tips about the best ways for an amateur to refinish a piano in the home. Great guy!
Timeless Art repaired the cane seat on a childs rocker that belonged to my grandparents. Not an expensive piece but one that holds many memories for me so it was worth it to get the repairs done so I can pass this rocker on to my own grandchildren. Did a lovely job, even matched the stain perfectly to the original. Bruce is personable and easy to work with by email, text, or phone.
Bruce and Cory are awesome! They redid our 30 year old family dining room table, bar stools, vintage humidor and chairs in a black finish and they are beautiful. Their pick up/drop off service is fantastic and allows the work to be completed from start to finish in a very timely manner. I cant wait for them to pick up the next load of our furniture to redo!
Great job on our 30 year old oak dining room table and chairs - made it look show room fresh for 1/2 of the price of new. Bruce was able to do EXACTLY what we wanted with it and matched our floor and cabinets perfectly. So glad we called Timeless Art and recommend them highly!Very happy with Timeless Art - 5 stars all the way!
Bruce and Corey painted two wooden chairs with upholstered seats and caning on the sides.I was thrilled with the results. Currently the chairs are being reupholstered by Ron Wind. Cant wait to see the finished results.Bruce also painted my late mothers dining room table and chairs, circa 1949. Sandra added some customized painting to the rose pattern on the chairs and Bruce reupholstered the chair seats. The set is beautiful. It is in my son and daughter-in-laws dining room and I am so pleased that the set has a new life. Thanks guys and Sandra.
A dear friend who has passed on gave us her beautiful Ethan Allen buffet and during the holidays a AA battery was accidentally left on it and the battery acid ate through the finish and down to the wood. We were heartbroken, but Bruce and Cory lovingly and professionally repaired the buffet. The craftsmanship was beautiful and we highly recommend Timeless Arts for their attention to detail and for the expert guidance as to the differences in woods and wood grains! The customer service is amazing too with quick responses and thoroughly answering questions. Thank you Bruce and Cory!
Bruce does top notch quality work. He refinished a Large Conference Room table for us and did a phenomenal job. We were asking for a very difficult change in color and he did a fantastic job. We are now asking him to redo our Small Conference Room table. Bruce really knows what hes doing and does it very well.
I met Bruce in 2016 when I asked him to refinish my Mothers Hope Chest, it is absolutely beautiful, better than before. I was also given a very dark corner china cabinet and again got ahold of Bruce. He and Jenna just dropped it off and it looks wonderful! Thank you so much for doing a great job
Bruce and Cory have beautifully restored our treasured family antiques. These pieces of furniture are very well traveled going from Michigan to South Carolina to Hawaii and finally back home again. We eagerly anticipate the return of every article knowing that they have been done with the greatest care and attention. I would recommend their work without hesitation.
I contacted Bruce to redo a desk my grandmother had given me. It was an older desk from the 1950s that she had painted black. I started to strip it but gave up and contacted him to redo it for me. He was very professional and knowledgeable and even picked up my cedar chest I threw his way at the last minute. It took slightly longer than expected but it was well worth the wait! Both pieces turned out BEAUTIFUL. I couldnt have imagined them looking this amazing if I tried. He took the time to fix both pieces where they were cracked and broken and re-installed the hardware I supplied in a bag. I love both pieces and I will definitely call him if I have any future needs. I have already given out his number to friends and family. If youre looking for a furniture refinisher - Bruce is your guy.
Bruce did a wonderful job on the Philco faux finish radio cathedral cabinets that I sent him. The work was very reasonably priced. I am a very satisfied customer and looking to do more business with Bruce very soon. Some radio collectors I know suggested that I have my radio cases done by Bruce. I started watching Bruces videos and knew that he is a more capable refinisher than anybody that I have ever hired.David Roberson
If you want the best of the best, this is the place to go. Timeless Arts Refinishing did an absolutely phenomenal job refinishing our Kindel pieces as if they were brand new from the Kindel factory including a 400 pound 14-foot solid mahogany dining table, coffee table, and drum table. My family always worried that a refinisher would never do justice to the pieces, but, Mr. Lach, being trained at Kindel, made these pieces look more beautiful than I remembered as a child when we acquired them. In addition to the Kindel pieces, Mr. Lach and his son tastefully restored my fathers 18th-century carved and gilt table from France by fixing damage to the matchbook veneer on the top that had dried out, fixed a crack in an early 19th-century solid mahogany French Empire chair, and provided on-sight touch-up work on an early 19th-century French Empire mahogany and marble buffet. We were so overwhelmingly pleased by the work, we sent them away with 6 more dining room chairs and a black lacquered mirror to be brought back to their former glory.
I found Bruce (a true craftsman) on YouTube and am so glad I did. Here in NY I couldnt find anyone who could restore my cabinet as Id envisioned.I couldnt more highly recommend him. He took an 80 year old Zenith radio of mine (that was pretty beat) and returned it to me in such beautiful shape — it looks like its right off the showroom floor. Incredible.
Bruce was very helpful in getting us what we were looking for. We had him refinish a fireplace mantle/wood surround, a 1927 arched front door as well as the trim around it. I would definitely recommend his work as he was easy to work with and communicated with us accurately and honestly when discussing costs, deadlines and making us feel comfortable with his processes. Thanks for your help.
Bruce just finished a walnut desk as a gift for my niece. It had all four legs broken and the small delicate drawers were either in pieces or damaged. Luckily we had all the broken pieces, hardware, and none of the intricate details on the desk were damaged. Bruce did an exceptional job at repairing and refinishing the desk. Check it out on YouTube by searching Refinishing a antique walnut desk. Ill be asking Bruce to do many other projects in the future.
Bruce and his son Cory worked on 3 pieces of baby furniture for me; a crib, changing table and dresser. The pieces were previously used and had sentimental value to me but did not all match. Now they look brand new & are exactly what I had envisioned for the nursery! Bruce and Cory were especially kind since they picked up the pieces from me and dropped them off when they were finished. They completed the work in the time frame they originally quoted me on and the price was reasonable for the amount of work needed to be done. I was very happy with the service from Timeless Art and would happily use them again or recommend them to family/friends!
Wow! Just one word to describe the amazing work done by Bruce Lach. I was looking into refinishing my 1980s cherrywood Statton dining table. At 36 years old. It was showing its age. I had a estimate here in the Detroit area, but I wasnt sure it was worth doing. So I googled is it worth refinishing and a you Tube video showed up! It was Bruce working on an older piece. And it was beautiful what he was doing with it. So I googled Facebook and read Bruce had worked for all of the high end furniture manufactures here in Michigan. I knew, if I were going to relishing this piece, this was the man I wanted to do it. After watching several YouTube videos, I decided Id write him, knowing with his expertise, I may not be able to afford him, and I would have take a 4 hr drive to drop it off in Grand Rapids. To my surprise, Bruce wrote back and quoted me $200 less than what my local guy did, and... He offered to pick it up for me!Well today, Bruce delivered my table back to me. It is absolutely beautiful.I couldnt be more delighted with the workmanship. There is no way I could have replaced this piece and get the quality I had with my piece. Bruce made it look new again! You cant see a video of Bruce working on it at his YouTube site.So if youre thinking about refinishing, dont waste time with anyone else. Bruce is your man. Thank you so very much Bruce for bringing my piece back to life.
I took an Oriental Altar Chest into Bruce Lach today, which had damaged hinges as a result of a burglary in my home last month. Bruce repaired the hinges and put my beloved altar chest back together again right on the spot and did it for FREE. I couldnt believe it. . . he just wouldnt take any money. Bruces generosity today reminded me that indeed, after every storm, comes a rainbow and I will always be grateful for his fine workmanship and kind gesture. I would be remiss if I didnt speak of my good fortune in getting to see the fine artistry, detail and craftsmanship which goes into each piece of furniture restored and refinished by Bruce. . . his work is truly stunning. I was also absolutely mesmerized by the extraordinary painting done by his partner, Sandy, who is an amazing artist in her own right. Without a doubt, Bruce & Sandy work magic on furniture and Im so thrilled to have discovered them!
Bruce came in an refinished my kitchen cabinets after another company messed them up. The previous company (Ferrell Custom Woodwork) didnt do any prep work like they stated they would and all of the paint was peeling after only a month. Further, the other company didnt protect anything. Bruce saved my kitchen! He stripped all the paint off the doors and did the job correctly. When he came in to my house to fix the cabinet boxes, he was careful to take and drape everything before he started sanding and prepping. The cabinets came out beautiful and I couldnt be happier! His price was also very good.
Timeless Arts restored several pieces of 20+ year old Ethan Allen furniture to truly look like new. Bruce and his team removed scratches and other damage for a stunning finished product. I highly recommend them for any refinishing project - their work speaks for itself.
Bruce refinished a 1930s sewing machine for me. It had been through a fire and Bruce made it look brand new!Recently I brought a broken chair back to Bruce and he fixed that up as well. Looks like new!If you need anything made of wood, refinished in the Grand Rapids, MI area, then Timeless Arts is the place to go!Thank you!
Timeless Art has refinished furniture and painted two kitchens for us. There quality of work was beyond our expectations. Bruce and Sandy are true artists when it comes to restoring, refinishing, painting or repairing anything that has to do with wood. We are one of the lucky ones that can display a cabinet that the two of them turned into a timeless piece of art.
Bruce perfectly restored my vintage Broyhill Brasília pedestal table and chairs. I’ve I asked him to work through all of my vintage mid century pieces one by one, restoring them to their original glory. I’ve never been happier with a craftsman, and that is exactly what he is.I cannot recommend him more highly.
Over the years we have had multiple antique pieces refinished and Bruce had restored every one of them beautifully. He is so detail oriented and unwilling to deliver a piece that hasnt received his full capability. An entire dining room set, old radios, chairs with marred legs..Hes a master at his craft! Wouldnt take furniture anywhere else.
Bruce at Timeless Arts Refinishing is to go to business for all of your furniture refinishing needs!! I have been using his services for Antique Radio cabinet refinishing and with his 30 years of furniture finishing experience he can literally do magic.I have entrusted him with very expensive and rare radio cabinets that go in looking like they came from the city dump and when Bruce is done with them, they truly look like a work of art.If you are concerned that Timeless Arts may not be able to handle that complex, detailed refinishing job, then dont give it another thought. Between Bruce and his partner Sandy, there is literally nothing that they could not handle.I have also seen some of Sandys furniture detailing work and its beyond belief, she could probably repaint the Sistene Chapel and improve on what Michelangelo originally painted!!!Timeless Arts Refinishing is probably one of the best kept secrets in furniture refinishers located in the State of Michigan. So, if your thinking about getting that antique treasure or other precious piece of furniture restored back to its previous glory, then take it to Bruce and Sandy and plan to be amazed.By the way, maybe we should keep this little secret between you and me, so that others dont find out!!!
Bruce and Cody came out to my home in Ada and refinished both of my entry doors and sidelights. The doors now look like fine finished furniture. They took the time to make sure the finish matched our supplied sample color and used high quality exterior finishes that will last many years to come. Working with them was very easy and they couldnt have been more accommodating. I was on a timeline and they made it happen. Bruce and Cody thank you again!Jeff J
They did such an amazing job restoring my old dining room table, it looks better than it did when it was brand new! The color and texture came out perfect-I am blown away.I was really impressed that Bruce came out to pick up my table on a Sunday morning, and delivered my table promptly when they said they would during my lunch hour-they even carried it in and put it all together for me! I will use them again in the near future, they are the best.
Im an antique radio collector in Southern California. I needed a metal radio face plate painted to look like finished wood. (The original wood grain look was done by a method called photo-finish.)I sent Bruce the plate and what I got back exceeded my expectations. The wood grain finish he did was beautiful! And the price was very reasonable to. I will definitely use Bruce for any future wood finishing needs I may have.
Bruce painted a house full of doors for us, mostly new solid doors but a handful of them were the original to our 19290s house. The old doors had many layers of haphazard paint, stain and dings. He stripped the paint, bleached the stain out smoothed out the dings. With the fresh coat of paint youd have to look close to see they are different from the new doors. Thanks for the hard work, we are super impressed with the finished product.
We brought my Grandmas 100 year old (???) buffet to Bruce for refurbishing. My Grandma took very good care of it, but after she passed away, it was in my Dads garage and withstood 50 yrs. of garage abuse. It didnt have much monetary value, but the sentimental value was priceless! Burce assured us he could make it presentable again, and let me tell you, HE DID!! It is beautiful! All the drawers and doors work, missing knobs are replaced, and the pieces of veneer that had to be replaced look great. Grandma would be proud! my Dad would be amazed!! and I am awed!! Thank you Bruce
Jennifer D.03/19/2014I have know Bruce for many years, and he has restored many pieces for me. Not just any pieces, but special pieces that have meant a lot to me, my Grandmothers dropped leaf table, my husband’s Grandmothers end table, and our list goes on and on. I have referred many of my friends to Timeless Arts; because of the quality you get for your price, but also for the way you are treated by Bruce and Sandy.... they treat you like family. I will never take anything anywhere else, but to Timeless Arts. I truly love them. Thank you guys for everything! Jennifer McCue
Bruce refinished my Ethan Allen cog wheel table that was left to me by my grandmother when she passed away. It was her favorite piece of furniture and has always been mine too. He did an outstanding job and I know grandma would be proud. It’s now a conversation piece that stands out in our living room. Greatly appreciated the expert work!
Cory and his Dad are AMAZING!!! I was in an apartment fire at the end of February and the water and smoke damage was extensive. My great grandmother had bestowed upon me her fine cherry furniture years ago. It looked terrible and I was worried it wouldnt be able to be saved. My Dad contacted Timeless Art and they met us at my apartment and hauled it away. I went to see it a couple months later and pay my balance. I was soooo pleased and almost shocked at how beautiful it looked. I think it looks better than it did when I got it from my Great Grandma.Their exceptional service doesnt end there. I was still between places and didnt have any room left in my storage unit. They offered to store it for me until I was ready for it!!!! What?!?! .....thats so nice!! Im so grateful to them for restoring these priceless pieces for me and going above and beyond!!!
As the owner of the East Lake walnut & marble dresser now restored to its original glory and magnificence, I could not be happier or more grateful to Cory and Bruce for their wonderful renovation. The dresser is a family heirloom which I will pass down to subsequent generations knowing that, with Bruce and Carys help, I have added to its life and beauty.
Bruce did a fantastic job of giving our dining table a second life. It is 25 years old and has had two boys grow up with it; needless to say it needed a lot of TLC. We were hoping it would look better, but when Bruce brought it back to us, it looked new!! We are very happy we chose Timeless Art!
I get the privilege spending some time in Bruce and Sandys shop, and get to first hand see the quality material, technique, and knowledge that goes into the finishing and refinishing of the products they receive. Bruces experience and knowledge in his field are vast, and Sandys art and accenting skills produce nothing less than a masterpiece every time. Ive been blown away by the beautiful furniture that this duo can put out.
A huge thanks to Jenna and Bruce on the restoration work they did on a family rocking chair. The craftsmanship was outstanding. In addition to the beautiful restoration work, I appreciate how well they communicated throughout the process. I highly recommend and wouldnt take my projects anywhere else!
This is the ONLY place I trust with my furniture. Our dog tore up the bottoms of two nightstands and a large dresser and Bruce made them look brand new again. He has a talent for restoration and even picked up and dropped off my pieces so I didnt have to worry about transporting them across town. Great customer service, very fast repair time, and reasonable pricing. Absolutely phenomenal job!!
Timeless Art just did an outstanding job refinishing a broken 1820s mahogany dining room chair for us. The back of chair was broken in three places and was missing a 2 section of wood. Timeless Art finished the chair perfectly and it matches the sister chairs perfectly. Tremendous work quality, very much appreciated.December 2016 update: We have had three more projects with Bruce and he has done a sensational job each time. Great work.
I used Timeless Art to refinish a mahogany drop leaf table, three extra leaves, four chairs and hutch. The table was very sun-faded, chairs were scratched and some gouges in the leaves. The finished product is beautiful. Pricing was good, especially compared to buying new furniture. It is obvious that this company values quality furniture. Although the length of time to complete the job was longer than quoted, I was not disappointed in the high quality of work.
I took delivery on an end table that had an obvious flaw in the finish. Rather than send it back I decided to have it repaired. Found Timeless Art on line and read all of the positive reviews so I took it in for repair. Bruce did the repair on the spot, and I couldnt be more pleased. It looks like it should have looked when it left the factory. I would highly recommend Timeless Art for any refinishing projects you may have. Thanks Bruce.
I came across Bruce while searching on youtube for how to refinsh wood furniture. After watching several of his youtube videos and seeing the great work he does and also realizing his shop is in Grand Rapids Michigan (I live in Detroit Michigan), I contacted Bruce and asked him if he could repair and refinish my Duncan Phyfe dining room set, which included the table, 4 chairs and 2 leaves. The set originally belonged to my grandmother. Im not sure of the exact age, but we do know the set is over 60 years old. The dining set was in absolutely horrible condition. It was sun faded, scratched and it had several deep gouges. I honestly didnt think it could be refinished. However, upon seeing the set today, after Bruce and Sandy delivered it, I was EXTREMELY happy. It was perfect, better then I could have ever imagined. Bruce did post a couple videos of the set on youtube before I got it back and it looked great then, but when I actually saw it in person, I was blown away at how beautiful it actually was. I would HIGHLY recommend Bruce to anyone. Bruce paid great attention to detail. BRUCE PROVIDESHIGH QUALITY WORKMANSHIP.
Our special heirloom table now has a new life. Outstanding quality craftsmanship went into the needed repairs to bring it back to a life. This table holds a special place in our family history and we’re thankful that a new generation will get to make precious memories around the restored table.
Truly outstanding work. So good that even though I live in Chicago, I had a dresser shipped to Bruch to refinish, and then Bruce shipped it down to our home in Naples, Florida. Such outstanding work that I recently sent him two night tables to refinish. Top notch, a real professional, and a delight to work with. Great integrity.
I took my basset foot board for my bed after countless nicks and Bruce made it look like new again! In addition he came by one Saturday morning to personally pick up my head board after I asked him for some touch up stain to touch up a few nicks at no additional charge! He wanted to be sure the matching was correct and was by all means not obligated to do so.. Great service, Great guy, Very Reasonable! Thanks Bruce!
Bruce transformed Great Grandmas old table into a true work of art. We gave him our ideas and he made it come to life. We wanted a yellow dining room table and thats a tough color. Its a amazing!! We will be calling Bruce for more refinishing in the future. IMG_2364.JPG
Found a nightstand in the same style as my bedroom outfit, but it had the wrong color stain. Timeless Arts striped and re-stained it to match. They did an excellent job. Looks just like it was an original piece of the set.I live local and also appreciated the pick up and delivery they provided.Would highly recommend them to anyone needing refinishing, and will use them again if needed.
Thankfully there are a few remaining craftsman with Grand Rapids-level skills and expertise left in the world. Thanks Bruce and crew for exceptional work bring the craftsman mantel back from the dead to live for another 100 years. Project completed on time and in budget. Couple more timeless pieces headed your way. Thanks all, Jim
FIVE stars! I had a small 32 x 42 oak kitchen table with a 5th leg and wood extension rails. We love this little gem and wanted to repurpose it for our new condo.I wanted to add leaves to make it a 42 x 76 for our dining area in our new condo. Spoke to Bruce and Cory about buying unfinished boank oak leaves from VanDyke Restores. They said they could strip the table, tone down the orange in the sawn oak table and stain the leaves to match.Cory did a beautiful job!Cant wait to have them refinish Cushman fruitwood living room tables that were my Moms.
Bruce and Cory did a magnificent job restoring our table after it had come off our car when we bought it. It fell off our car roof and just shattered into pieces, but now it looks better than the day we bought it. Absolutely phenomenal work next time I have a piece of broken furniture, Bruce and Cory will be the first guys I call
From pick up to delivery this family owned and operated business did a first rate job restoring and refinishing our book case. Their communication was always clear and their follow up and timeliness was very accurate. I wish there were more businesses run like this!Excellent overall value and completely satisfied.
Our dining set is 38 years old. Every chair joint was loose and wobbly. We had glued some joints with sloppy expanding foam. One joint had a broken piece lost years ago. Timeless Arts reversed all the years and our self-repair mistakes. We are very impressed by their excellent work.
I had a dressing table and mirror that were purchased separately and did not match. Timeless Art refinished them both perfectly so they match. You would never suspect they were not a set. They also developed an attachment method for the mirror making it sturdy and easy to remove if necessary. Pick up and delivery was a plus. I recommend them and would use them again.

2022-04-21I inherited my grandmas 1940s piano, which still produced beautiful sound but looked a little dated with our decor. Bruce listened to our needs and offered advice, and his son Cory did a beautiful job painting the piano black. Thank you for your time and care!

2021-12-01This father son team are knowledgeable, skilled, and very personable. On top of that they are incredibly accommodating and their work is fairly priced. My only regret is that I didn’t get this review published sooner.
