So I got a King Suite and when I say I have never been in a better hotel I mean it. The set up was nice. The shower OMG. I was just taking a weekend to myself and this place was amazing. The staff was very friendly, the other guests were very respectful and were never at any point loud. The bed was so comfortable. Normally when staying alone Im a bit nervous but because of their safety persuasions I never once felt as if anything was going to happen. Even when I had to go to the front desk to let them know the man next to me was yelling for help they did amazing. I will be returning anytime I need to have my space to relax. Next time Ill have to check out the pool gym & breakfast.
Uncomfortable furniture. Carpet tack strip noticeable. Breakfast gross. Pool freezing. Housekeeping lazy, dirty linens in our room and no trash bags or tissues. The temperature is either heat or AC but not off, so its either heating or cooling.I spent 3 days while my husband worked and hated this room. It was nice to have a full closet and fridge tho.
This hotel was solid during a very last minute situation with a cancelled flight. Everything is very modern and up to date. Loved how clean and new everything felt in the suite. Only 10 minutes away from the airport and the hotel offers shuttles as well. Enjoyed my stay and would recommend to anyone in the area.
This past week we stayed in three different hotels in three different states. By far this Hotel was beyond great. Our check in was friendly. The young lady behind the desk ( on a crutch ) was super personable. We went to our room and it was amazing. Clean, and large and well appointed. It was perfect. We were able to put all our drinks and food from our cooler in the full sized fridge and refreeze our ice packs. The hotel actually had BREAKFAST!! We decided to book it for a second night. I will say it again THEY HAD BREAKFAST!! I wasnt an enormous buffet but it was great. Oatmeal , eggs, sausage muffins and other breads, OJ , apple juice and a few other things. No hotel weve been in in the past year has had anything better than a muffin , granola bar and a bottle of water in a bag. Getting an actual breakfast was way more exciting than it should have been. I even did laundry the first night in new washer and dryers. The hotel was perfectly located outside of Detroit. About a 20 to 30 min drive we were at The Detroit Institute of Arts. Its also amazing GO! The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of towels for two nights. I hope our next hotel stay is this good.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The manager Raquel at this hotel is absolutely unprofessional and rude. I am a Muslim woman and someone at the hotel kept leaving hate speech comic books at the hotel outside of my room. This terrible woman Raquel refused to give us an explanation as to who did it, refused to show us any footage and never gave us any call back when we complained. She straight up just told us we will not get any compensation for our terrible stay and offered no explanation. Please save yourself your money and time and DONT stay here especially don’t deal with horrible staff members specially the MANAGER at this hotel. Can’t believe this is how they treat Marriott members she has no respect for our religion.
Great option outside of Detroit metro and close to airport. The hotel was modern and clean. I am shocked that another reviewer gave one star tonight on the Marriott app for “rude as we had such a pleasant experience at check in and check out even with someone in training. I regret we could only stay one night. Special mention to Isabella who was very cheerful and helpful.
Great few day stay at TownePlace Suites. Friendly, helpful staff; clean modern facilities; nice front patio grilling & fire pit area; hot & varied breakfast buffet; sidewalk walking or fitness center; business traveler accommodations; right off I 94. Soft music was playing upon arrival in room the bed comfy and appliances clean plus working well. Will be back!
I checked in during the day and the rep Jason was amazing. I did park/ride/sleep and stayed in the room upon return in April (when masks were still required). The shuttle to the airport was slow, so allow for at least 1 hour. Upon return, the shuttle driver only wore mask outside the van but took it off during the ride - how does that make sense. Also a very drunk rider with no mask who kept falling over got on - the driver did nothing to resolve that situation. The driver did not wear seatbelt and drove erratically the whole ride causing the alarms in the van to keep going off. Just very strange. I reported the driver to front desk night supervisor (not Jason) and to the shuttle reservation that asked for review, however, nobody took action or acknowledged this. In the midst of covid while masks were still required this was not handled well. The driving and no seatbelt are concerning. These issues would have to be addressed by the hotel before I stay here again or use park/stay/fly for this location.
Friendly and helpful staff. The room is large with a nice table and chairs. Very comfortable space. One thing to consider. Its located right on I-94, so if you have trouble sleeping with noise, get a room on the backside away from the interstate.
Our stay at the TownePlace Suites was nice but there were a couple of issues that we encountered. We did not get housekeeping to stop by one time during our stay, that may be because of COVID I dont know. We had to inquire about toilet paper our first day and paper toilet the second day. We also only had one face towel in the room so we had to inquire about that as well. The rooms are nice and pretty comfortable, the beds were a bit firm so I did wake up with back pain and neck pain. My husband had a difficult time sleeping and getting comfortable, the pillows were really soft so not alot of support for a side sleeper. The kitchenette was fully stocked with cookware and dinnerware and a two eye electric stove. It was nice to be able to cook while we were there. Our room also had a full size refrigerator and a fill size table with four nice and heavy chairs, which was awesome. Also a nice lounge chair with a wall mounted TV. The TV was awesome because I was able to connect my phone and play music through Bluetooth and also tune in to Netflix, YouTube and other movie channels. Overall, our stay was pleasant the staff was helpful and friendly. Their amenities were open as well the pool and the fitness area which was nice to see. Especially since most amenities at other hotels were closed because of COVID. If you are looking to get a decent extended stay type of room then this is for you.
The staff is professional, friendly and very accommodating. I am staying two months and this first month was amazing. Very clean hotel, kitchen stocked with plates and pans, full fridge, awesome grill and fire pit, decent gym, but unfortunately pool was closed due to covid. Perfect location with proximity to a lot of stores and restaurants. My wife and I would definitely stay here again in the future.
We stayed the weekend when the power was out. Every single room was booked! The staff worked very hard and did quite well keeping up with all the guest. Great job guys!
Staff was nice, room was nice, half cleaned but nice set up. I found old juice bottles in the window. So far ive been here 1 week and i have yet to see housekeeping clean my room evven though ive asked a few times. I had to go buy my own cleaning supplies to have a clean room. Sat my towels out for them to tell me they were out of towels and waiting on a truck 😵. i had to go to walmart to buy towels for my family. In a hotel, Imagine that. I have another week left to stay and I highly doubt ill make it😒 currently looking for a different extended stay hotel😩
We got a double queen bed suite (I think). But there was a stove top, full fridge, real dishes, and a dish washer. The bed was comfortable, the room spacious for my 4 person family.
Smart new hotel. Love me a kitchenette!All the things Im looking for. Easy check in. Super friendly staff. Comfy bed. Plenty of hot water with good water pressure. Easy to connect my devices to the TV. Easy to connect to the free Internet. Straight forward incidental hold policy.And extras, like a small heated pool. Nice gym with more than one treadmill. And a decent enough laundry room too.Basic continental breakfast. And hey, hey ...theres a neighboring pedestrian bridge that crosses the highway to the bowling alley across the way, Burger King and parts unknown.
Absolutely stunning suite. Suite has 2 TVs, separate thermostats, kitchen, living room, dishwasher, stove, sink, microwave, dishes, pots, pans, toaster, clean bathroom and of course an indoor pool, outdoor BBQ grills and patio furniture

This is a wonderful wonderful wonderful place to go and relax. The staff is very nice and very professional and the conferring cannot be beat which is shocking coming from a hotel. The manager there is very professional and shes willing to go above and beyond the Call of Duty in order to accommodate your needs. I will continue to go to this hotel when Im in the area.
Would have gave them 5 stars but they do not have pay per view. I specifically stayed there to be comfortable and buy the boxing fight. Otherwise the rooms are great.

I been to many Marriotts even a towneplace with more than 3 people in a room. The manager called and lied and said she made me leave the room. That was not the case i left on my own because I have a 3 year old and I feel like once the people she told to leave in my room to leave because they was visiting that if my 3 year old made a sound that I would of been kicked out because she don’t know how to approach people. She kept bringing up I’m using a discount rate but I see now she wanted me to lose that Privilege because I had some kids to come swim. If you have more then two kids this is not the hotel for you.

Do not stay at this location. Workers are disrespectful, the tub didn’t work, couldn’t take a shower since the handle broke off and it’s under poo management that doesn’t know how to handle situations with customers properly. Do not stay here . Save your money , time, and stress .

Brand new hotel our room still had a new car smell, most of the rooms havent been checked out yet. Our room was brand new. Breakfast, staff, workout area, swimming pool was all on point.

2022-02-10We were very happy with our stay here! Clean hotel and the ladies at the front desk were all friendly and welcoming. Most of the housekeeping staff were also kind and accommodating. We stayed in a suite with a kitchen that had everything available for us so that was nice. They have an indoor pool that my family enjoyed and a little station in the lobby with coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. The only downside is we felt like the suite was small (especially given that its an extended stay hotel) and breakfast was mediocre. Nonetheless, its a great hotel and I would stay here again!

2022-04-25The General Manager Chris is awesome and made sure that my Ambassador status was recognized. The Ambassador line made promises, unbeknownst to the property, but Chris went above and beyond to ensure a great stay.The rooms and property are extremely nice and well kept. The breakfast leaves something to be desired, but what do you expect from a TownePlace Suites. We were just happy to have one.The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was the lady at the front desk. Everything was a bother and the information given was clearly not accurate. Granted requests made by the general manager would not have been kept if I hadnt insisted, and she was there an when he made them! Ive stayed at enough hotels, and spoken with enough front desk agents, to know when I am being lied to and blown off.Everything was great except for the one front desk staff member.

2022-02-27Loved the hotel itself, however I will never stay here again because EVERY SINGLE TIME i stay here which would be 4 times we have an issue with them wanting to charge my card again due to a issue when checking in and every time we end up getting into it with the manager. The last time i stayed me and my family ended up cancelling the rest of our stay and going to the hotel next door. As long as she is manager i wont be staying at this hotel

2022-04-10Have been here several months. With the change in management things have greatly improved. Mr. Tanner and his team are doing a wonderful job. The staff has a professional look to them now and are a little more friendly.

2022-01-03The room and service at the check in counter was great. However I only gave this 3star because of the shuttle service from and to the airport. I had to wait outside in the cold for 45 minutes to even see the 1st shuttle come by and had to wait another 20 before they had another one there that I could get on. Then since the shuttle services 3 hotels and I was at the last stop, I was not able to get back on in the morning when I was scheduled because the shuttle service didnt stop by to pick us up. I saw 2 shuttles at the 1st hotel and they left there for the airport. So instead of spacing their pick up so that each hotel got serviced equally, they picked up every one at the 1st hotel then moved on to the 2nd before finally making it to my hotel. So instead of leaving at 6:00am, I was finally picked up at 6:30am.

2021-08-29Very helpful, friendly staff and pleasant stay! Super clean and comfy bed. Kitchen is fully equipped. Bathroom experience was great, with big room, easy to use and user friendly design. They offer free 24/7 DTW airport shuttle, runs every top hour. Their shuttle system is very nice that you will receive updates via texts! It’s about 13min to the airport. Drivers were very friendly as well.

2021-06-27Our room was really nice and the shower was amazing. The bed was comfy and the kitchen area was nicely stocked.In the swimming pool area, one of the immersed lights must have come loose, because it was laying on top of the pool deck with the power cord still going from the light to inside the water. I did not feel safe swimming like that so I got out immediately. We notified management but Im not sure if they did anything.There was only one woman serving breakfast and it was unbearably slow. We waited probably 20 minutes or more to get a breakfast. This girl had to serve people individually, and then go in the back room and prepare the food to replace on the line. Through it all though she kept a great attitude and a friendly disposition but Im sure that was not easy for her.When you are traveling, you kind of rely on a breakfast being served promptly so you can get back on the road.This hotel does have a very nice patio and grill area in the front, and another patio back by the pool. This hotel was nice & clean, and I would recommend staying here, but it just needs a couple tweaks to make it perfect.

2021-11-07We had a good stay at the hotel for about 3 weeks following a house fire. It was a nice facility with the amenities needed for an extended stay. Our room had a full kitchenette so we were able easily make meals after buying groceries. There was coin laundry on the main floor.
