Used this urgent care for the first time and was amazed at how efficient, helpful and friendly that everyone was. They use a text message system to let you know when to come in. Check-in was extremely fast. Even though I was in the wrong area at first, they quickly got me over to where I needed to be and within 5 minutes I was already in a room being treated. The Nurse and Doctor were very efficient and friendly and sensitive to my needs. I would definitely recommend this Urgent Care!
Disappointed in poor planning from this location. Less focus on generating revenue by over scheduling and under delivering. We brought our child in for shot. Schedule was at 11, she was not seen until almost noon. I would be charged for being late and patients have no recourse other than posting something that will not be read. Everyones time is important I would rather be scheduled for an appointment that the facility can meet even if it was a week later.
I stopped going to IHA when I was 15 minutes late for an appointment (5 minutes of that time was waiting in line to check in), and was told I would have to reschedule. I realize I should be on-time, but I have never waited less then 30 minutes to see a doctor at Urgent Care West. My time is worth something too, especially when I did so much to get out of work that day and still did not get to see a doctor. So, I had all my records moved to Michigan Medicine and during the review of them with my new doctor it shows my last tetanus shot received at IHA West in 2008 when it should be 2018. Really - IHA Urgent Care West wasnt even built in 2008. Good thing I have already left. Doctor care was always good - support staff not so good.
I had to have sports physicals for my boys and all staff was great !efficient, helpful and friendly!. The Nurses and Doctor were very efficient and friendly and so appreciated that we could save a spot to walk in for sports physical because we needed them this week! I would definitely recommend this Urgent care
I was able to make an appointment online. They texted me to let me know they were running behind so that when I arrived I was able to be brought in promptly. My issue wasn’t responding as well as hoped to the first round of treatment so I had to go in for a follow-up which they didn’t charge me for (might just be how my insurance works). Everyone was kind and listened to my concerns attentively. Very professional and welcoming to put your mind at ease. I’ve been three times total and always had a positive experience.
This place runs on time yet doesn’t kick someone out if they are late. All personnel were kind and helpful. I was irritated by one thing. I spent 20 to 30 minutes filling out online forms before arriving. The first thing they asked me to do once I got there was fill out another form of information I had already given. Also I could’ve gone to other urgent cares but I went to this one because it’s IHA and connected with my primary care doctors. Yet they can’t find my information in their system? Are they in a hurry? Do they have no time to read? What does IHA do or not do that doesn’t give employees access to doing the best job that they can? When people fill out forms in the comfort of their own home it’s more likely to be more thorough and inclusive than when they’re in the office and they need to hurry up with the forms. IHA has a really huge system of information so now let’s find out how they could use it to everyone’s benefit.
Nicest and best urgent care in which I’ve had treatment! I was treated for fracture. I was in and out with x-ray read and a high-tech, very comfortable splint in 40 minutes! Every staff member really welcomed and talked with me, from the clerk the RN, NP to the X-ray tech.
I would like to thank the team that helped me through my experience yesterday. I came in at 10 am for an appointment with PA Olivia. They had an NA ready to help me get to the appointed room. Although I had a more serious injury at the end of the appointment, PA Olvia handled the situation with utmost professionalism. I wont fill you in with the details, reader, but I appreciate them setting up my arrival at a neighboring hospital for further medical attention.Thank you, IHA Staff.-Shaina L.
Went for a covid test. Signed up on line “save spot”. Staff was great. Quick in and out. Web site was a little confusing as I was getting a test for traveling and there wasn’t a key stroke for that. So I signed in as symptoms and testing. Also wasn’t any signage on site of where to go. Still would recommend them for future visits
I have breakthrough COVID and was super impressed with how your team managed my care, from check-in to working with my pharmacy. The doctor sat with me and explained what was going on in such a caring, empathetic way. You scored by hiring her - great physician. Thank you for the wonderful treatment!
Doctor Matthew D Bruce was awesome! I had severe cramps and persistent pain in my R leg this morning. I am very thankful for Dr Bruces comprehensive assessment and proper treatment of my R leg.He also gave me very informative patient education materials related to my ongoing disease process. He was very professional, kind and warm doctor. I noted that he was focused on his job with enthusiasm.
I’m torn. The people in the OB section were fantastic and caring. However, the lab was the most unprofessional medical office I’ve seen in my life. Technicians yelling complaints to each other across the office, complaining about patients loud enough for everyone to hear and commenting on medical issues, absolutely zero customer service or decorum for people who are rightfully concerned about their health. What an absolute embarrassment.
I went in to IHA Urgent Care today which was a Sunday. I made an appointment on line. There was about 1/2 hour wait when I got there. I saw Dr. Helms. She was so good and made me feel very comfortable. I had a lot of questions and she took the time to answer all. Thank you!
The 2 times I have been here they have treated me with such great care and compassion. I highly recommend them. Thank you to the wonderful Staff and Dr. for your great care and friendliness. They made me feel very comfortable. This was at the Howell location but would not let me post review for them. This was my first time using IHA and I plan on using them as my main doctors. Plus the nurse gave me a cup of noodles to bring home with me. Bonus because I love cup of noodles!!!! Thanks again for helping me get better.
Being able to make an appointment was so convenient, and they were right on time. Every person that I saw in the office treated me so well, even though I came in at the end of the night. One even stayed over to ultrasound me without complaint. They were a good team, kind, smart, and efficient.
Everyone says you wait so long at urgent care centers and then they tell you to go to the ER anyways... Well not here!! They took very good care of me!! I was there for about 2-2.5 hours.Everyone was very nice, right from the start!!I hope you dont need to go, but if you do, this urgent care center is awesome!!
I used the save my place to schedule a time online. After checking in at the desk I was promptly taken back to a room. I had injured my finger and I shortly had an xray and I was given pain mefication. The PA who saw me did a great job. She explained the proceduresand she was thorough. Everyone from the receptionist to the nurse to the xray tech to the PA was kind and caring and efficient. I would come back to this office again.
IHA Urgent Care WestArbor was fantastic. I was seen quickly by a friendly nurse and the doctor provided a clear explanation of my condition and suggested two possible ways to respond. The doctor was knowledgeable, thoughtful and really seemed to care. In addition, they were so fast.
Super great experience at the IHA Urgent Care in Milan. Extremely minimal wait to see a provider. Everyone was very friendly and thorough. From the front desk receptionist, the medical assistant, and the PA Stephanie that we saw this evening were very nice and addressed my concerns for my daughter. Will definitely go back. Highly recommended!**this is for Milan, not West Ann Arbor - the survey directed me here for the review****
“Urgent” care? Yea right. We went here under doctor’s instruction for our baby. Waited well over an hour before baby was done waiting. Receptionist didn’t care, doctor’s clearly don’t either.“It’s been like this all day.” What does that mean? There was 5 cars in the parking lot and let’s not pretend like the waiting room was full. Our child’s problem was clearly not any sort of priority for this team. Thanks for nothing.
I Give the FIVE STARS, After Map Quest gave me long and wrong directions to get there. I just looked at my Map Quest and it was showing me walking there. So I call to say I will be late, and I was lost.. a nice young man I believe from IHA URGENT CARE health care. Help me find the way there. He stayed on the phone with me. He made me feel so happy that he was here to help. After being on the phone with him. The IHA URGENT CARE ANN ARBOR called to see if I was still coming to get my Covid Vaccine. The young man hung up and let me talk to them. I let them know I was lost and I was on the phone with someone else that was helping me. They stayed on the phone with me and gave me directions to get there. I was over 30 minutes late after driving over a hour and a half. I apologize to them for being late and Thank them for waiting for me. I know how I been waiting to get on a list for this Vaccine. I APPLAUD 👏THEM AT IHA URGENT CARE ANN ARBOR 👏 LOVE THEM 😷🙏❤
The IHA Urgent Care in Howell! The staff was very welcoming. The provider was very personable and got on my sons level. The provider and staff were very knowledgeable. The provider really explained things very well and easy to understand. I would recommend this facility to my friends and family in a heartbeat. Thank you for providing such good care for us. 👍
Well, I would recommend IHA highly but not the people who answer the phone for them. I called this afternoon to find out which covid test our daughter Asia Renning would be getting. She asked if Asia had been tested before, the date and the result. I told her positive on October 18. She told me that you would not test her again for 90 days because of CDC guidelines. When I told her that Asia needed a negative result in order to return to her day program she said that Asia would continue to test positive for 90 days and would need to quarantine again. At that point I hung up because Asia was in for her test which was negative. Unqualified people should not be answering questions on the phone
Reserving a spot online was very easy. Check-in was also fast. I checked in in person but noticed that a kiosk was also made available for that purpose. A screen conveniently listed patient names and wait times so I was able to track when I would be taken back for care. I would suggest reserving a spot as I noticed wait times for walk-ins on the Monday afternoon I visited were 1-2 hours.Care was efficient, empathetic, and effective. Its so hard to get timely care from my IHA PCP. Slots are booked way out and I always end up paying a ton to see an RN rather than my doctor anyway, so I was amazed at how easy my experience with Urgent Care was. I wont hesitate to go this route again next time Im sick.
This is the best urgent care in Ann Arbor/ Ypsi area. You can use the Save My Spot feature as you are driving to the building. You complete insurance info, identify the problem, & complete demographic info before you arrive. The automated system sends a text message to tell you when to arrive, & you reply when you get there. Very efficient, the staff is EXCELLENT! The location has x-rays, doppler ultrasound machines, medical doctors, physician assistants, D.O.s & Nurse practitioners. When you go inside there is a TV monitor like at the airport, that tells you who is next in line & the anticipated wait time. You also check-in using a kiosk and then the receptionist calls you to the desk to get the documents to sign.EXCELLENT Urgent Care, fast convenient, great technology & good medical staff. I will never go to any other place if I can help it.
I have gone a couple times and I was In and out so quickly, save yourself time by saving a spot on their website. There is not one staff member there that didn’t leave me smiling. The doctor Renee is super helpful and listened to me and got me in and out, and the nurse I think Her name was Heather is amazing. From being greeted at the desk to walking out and leaving everyone there is super sincere and sweet and I wouldnt Go to another urgent care if you paid me to.
I was at your Jackson Rd location yesterday and I gave you a 10 for the excellent service, but I was thinking about when I came in the front door young lady took temp and when I cam out after being seen I noticed she was wiping down the wheelchairs and other stuff, but while I was waiting in the waiting room people were getting up from there chairs to go in to see doctor but no one came out and wiped down the chairs that people were sitting in, I think that if someone gets up someone should be wiping down the chairs. One young man was there and he was very sick no one wiped anything down in the waiting room. Thank you for your time. And the doctor I had was excellent
Ive been to Milan Urgent Care as a patient and have also brought my children there when needed and when we couldnt go onto our primary care. They are very kind and have great bedside manner. The front desk staff are courteous and have patience. I once went when they were extremely busy and they arranged for me to go to the Domino Farms location so that I could be seen that evening. If I could make them my pcp, I would! Highly recommend!
This was the first time I ever went to this urgent care place but it was the best I have ever went to I got treated royally. the doctor was totally wonderful. I dont know what else to say only that this would be the best place to go to if you needed to go to somebody. Also the receptionist was absolutely comforting and wonderful. She offered water and made me feel very welcome. If I could go to them all the time I would. Thank God that theyre close to me Im just grateful for them I would recommend them to everybody.
Best Healthcare experience by far! I always book our appointment online and when I show up on time they are ready for me within 5 minutes. I highly recommend the online check-in. Today I brought my two year old in with a dislocated elbow and they got us in, relocated her elbow and I was back in my car in 30 minutes flat! Also, Lauren, our P.A., was the sweetest. My toddler is normally scared of adult strangers but, not here, Lauren was great.
Excellent service. Very organized method to sign in. I was a walk in and being that it is New Year’s Eve, there was a little bit of a wait, but that was totally expected and I decided to wait it out vs. coming back later. They got me in earlier than expected. Everthing followed through very efficiently and I received excellent medical advice to hold me over the holiday week. If you need to go to urgent care, I definitely recommend the IHA on Jackson.
Nice office. Comfortable, modern, and large waiting area. Quick and easy check-in.Theres a computer screen on the wall that tells you your place in line and your approximate wait time. Waiting time was only about 30 minutes. Receptionist was very pleasant and professional, as well as the rest of the staff. The assistant took my vitals, etc. right away, and wait time in the exam room was reasonable. They were attentive and did not rush. Overall it was a pleasant experience, and my needs were taken care of.
If I could give no stars I would. I felt they didnt take my problem seriously, I felt judged and I waited for 3 hours to be scene by a physician (for 60 seconds) whom didnt even take the time to test me - just handed out antibiotics. Terrible bedside maner and terrible organization.
As far as urgent care goes this is the best one Ive been to! Quite a few people came in around the same time I did. Only took a little over an hour to get checked in, seen and walking out the door. Staff is friendly and genuinely likes their job (other places Ive been to seems like they just dont care) 10/10 would reccomend this place!
Dr. Renee is outstanding doctor! Both of my girls Hailey & Khloe Vanvliet love her and felt so comfortable! They both expressed they wished she was their primary care physician. We have always had a wonderful experience when visiting the Howell IHA Dr. Renee exceeded our experience with a wonderful and caring bedside manner!Thank you,Lora
This location does Covid testing from 8am-12:45pm and Covid vaccinations from 2pm-6pm, all under the same tent. I highly recommend making a testing appointment with your phone or pc using the “save my spot” feature from the urgent care’s IHA website. Google says you don’t need an appointment but unless you want to hold up the line and make the process twice as long, make an appointment with “save your spot”. It really is an amazing feature for getting into any of the IHA urgent cares!
Staff was extremely kind, helpful and understanding. Even though there was another patient in front of me the walk in kiosk center was an amazing tool to check in to help alleviate excessive weight time. When we got in the exam room we were offered ice cold water bottles and pretzels as a snack by a great MA who made us feel welcome and expressed concern for the reason we were there. This is a small thing but an extra touch that really brings excellent customer service and makes patients/parents feel special. The physicians assistant was extremely thorough and complete in his exam and approachable with questions from both my son and myself. I would definitely go back to Milan Urgent Care not just because it’s close to our home, but because of the excellent patient care.
I had to bring my mother in because of a fall. Check-in system went smooth (Used save my spot) and the staff were nice. The doctor took her time to listen and examine my mother. It took 50mins for the actual X-ray process which I thought was a little lengthy but it was three different areas they took xrays. Overall great experience, thank you!
We had a line drive foul ball hit to my daughters side of the head... at an indoor softball tourney. We called the nurse initially. Grateful for a quick response and she proceeded to contact the Dr. immediately. He called back right away. Lastly, arrived at IHA Urgent Care on Jackson Rd. within 5 minutes the Dr. greeted us at the registration counter and brought us back for her to be seen. Top Notch response, communication, and care! Above and beyond that.... the office supervisor and intake person were expediting the care and process, as well. Phenomenal! A bad day into a good day. People make a difference. So grateful.
Dr. Renee Brayton DO and staff was great! I was in agony and hesitant going to the IHA Urgent Care Westarbor after injuring my back 5 days prior. I was thinking that I would be there all day. I secured an appointment on line and quickly got in to see the doctor. She checked me out and administered treatment. The same night after treatment I was feeling marginally better. I wish I didnt wait so long.Thank you so much.
The staff at the IHA Urgent Care (West Arbor) are always so kind! I was in tonight in quite a bit of pain, and what distracted me most was all the incredibly rude patients.... the staff here is working there hardest to give you quick but thorough care.... I thought people understood, when you go to an urgent care, sometimes there is a wait. Also, they have an option to check in online.... so stop being so incredibly rude to the people who are trying to help you!Thank you again for taking care of me!
Receptionists were quick and helpful. Wait time was less than 10 minutes. The nurses were very attentive to me and my sick baby and made me feel confident leaving there that all of my questions were answered. Chris was extremely helpful and thorough. Very grateful that they opened this urgent care and Highly recommend.
So, I would be remiss if I didnt mention Ive had some rough experiences with IHA Urgent Care West Arbor; I certainly have. You definitely should use their website to register for any semi-urgent review you need. If you need to be seen immediately, just go to the emergency room instead.BUT. If you are looking for Covid-19 testing, they are WONDERFUL. Easy online sign up, no wait, gracious attendants, speedy swabs, and youre on your way. We just ran right through, and it was so quick.IHA Urgent Care West Arbor has a bit to improve, but on Covid-19 testing, they are 100% on the ball.
This was my first time going to IHA. From the moment I walked in the staff was friendly. The medical assistant was knowledgeable. Dr.Ajluni was extremely pleasant, thorough and kind. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend or go back again. This is by far the best urgent care Ive been to.
I came to this location while out in AA. stayed here to be seen because there was not a single other soul in the waiting room. waited 25 minutes in the waiting room only to wait another FORTY FIVE MORE in the exam room to be told by the doctor to do what i’ve been doing for my chief complaint. i would not have wasted my time coming here and then waiting a total of almost 2 hours after paperwork to be told to “take care of my issue myself”. i’ve been to urgent care before for this same matter and it’s been resolved... if i could do it myself i wouldn’t come to a facility for help. thanks.
2 days ago I went to the University of Michigan emergency room with respiratory issues. There were 70 people ahead of me. We had to leave because we were there for hours with no help. I went to iha the next day. They were fast friendly and genuinely concerned for my health. The staff from the nurse to the doctors amazing. They relieved all of my symptoms and put me on a track to health. I was thoroughly impressed I will definitely be back. And if I have another emergency Ill go to st-joes.
I took my 8 month daughter here (the patient) along with her twin sister, my 2 year old and my 8 year old. Everyone was very pleasant and patient! These are the type of people that should be in the heath care field!!! They were quick and very attentive! Thank you IHA again for exceeding my expectations. We were at the new south Lyon location
They did a great job and I was able to be seen quickly. I did call ahead to make sure about the expected wait time. While I got to see the nurse within about 15 minutes there was a somewhat longer wait before I was seen by the doctor. No problems but I suggest you bring a book or some kind of entertainment when you go to any emergency care situation.
We were in and out under an hour. This is the first urgent care Ive been to that actually tested my child for the flu. They didnt just assume then prescribe. They gave her a basin to take home in case she vomited in the car. The nicest thing they did for us was called in the prescription to a second pharmacy when I called and told them the first pharmacy was out of the medication. It was so wonderful and a relief because I wanted my child to get the medication as soon as possible and I about lost it when the first pharmacy told me they didnt have it. So thank you IHA!
I went to IHA Urgent Care do you the wasn’t an appointment available with my doctor at IHA the only this I was impressed with was getting in right away. I was given a prescription that needed pre approved with my insurance and they failed to do so. I couldn’t get ahold of anyone after I left the office. I called my insurance they said the doctor needed to fill out the pre approval form and of corse it still didn’t get done on a Friday. Do I had to pay cash for my prescription.
I THANK GOD for IHA on Jackson Rd. Its Sunday and im home now. But earlier my back went while shopping, the pain was awful. My daughter registered online, appt was in 45 mins. We arrived and was taken back quickly. The Dr and entire staff, including x-ray tech were AMAZING and kind. I was given an injection for the pain and a rx. I am feeling much better. Thanks everyone! Stay safe!!!
The staff at the front desk was amazing. I wish I would have gotten the young ladies name! I came in around 4:30 and she told me the wait time, 3 hours! Unfortunately all the “save a spot” times were filled, she saved me a spot and told me to come back at 7:30. Love her for that!! Came back, signed in, waited about 30 mins, not bad. Doc came in after waiting about 15 mins, then X-ray came in 20 mins later, they sent my scripts over to cvs, and I was on my way. 1 1/2 - 2 hours waiting is not bad at all with it being this time of the year. Everyone was so nice and helpful!! I really appreciated everyone working as a cohesive team to get people in and out!
I am always impressed with IHA and their staff. I have been down for almost 6 days with a fever and respiratory issues and they have been nothing short of amazing. I have had calls every day to check in and triage over the phone and they sent me here to IHA Schoolcraft Urgent Care where they are treating respiratory illness currently. Amazing protocol and I never doubt their treatment. Stay well folks and make sure you thank all of your Healthcare workers please❤️ specifically here at IHA Schoolcraft Urgentcare.
I went here for an urgent care visit and was really pleased! This is a nice facility with kind and efficient staff and doctors. I didn’t have the time to register for my visit online (which I’d recommend doing if possible), but the wait time only ended up being half of what they quoted me.
The in-office experience was great, everything was handled in a timely matter. However, I needed a prescription filled and that process has been a disaster. The first attempt seemed to go smoothly, but the price came back way too high even with insurance so I called back the urgent care facility and requested an alternative medication. I was told this would be called in the following day (today) but it never was. I called the pharmacy to check it’s status and was told they never got it, so called urgent care again and they said they would order it. They did, but again ordered the expensive medicine. At this point I had the pharmacist call urgent care directly to resolve this, and urgent care finally did more than 24 hours after my initial visit.
I have used the urgent care several times and it has always been a very caring professional staff that has treated me. They have insisted that I get tests and follow phoning me with results and recommendations. I have recently used the call ahead reservation system to minimize the wait time in the office which I really like. They are connected to my primary care doctor and have access to all my Saint Joes records through IHA. I’m very pleased with the service.
Visited this facility in the early morning. Found the staff to be very accommodating and professional. Was seen almost immediately. All the nursing and physician staffs were excellent. My concerns were addressed and diagnosed . Treatment of my issues was very satisfactory. Would highly recommend this facility. Thanks to everyone involved, I now have medication for my issues and am feeling better. BJ Hockenberry
The Urgent Care is a great option. You just make an appointment online when you can make it, and there’s no waiting. It’s really easy, The front of office staff was very kind when the bad weather/traffic made me late.. i really appreciated that they made space for me to be seen, I was really sick, and don’t know where else I would have gone.
Very well taken care of, but my only complaint is the reception desk needs training to recognize that someone who needs multiple stitches in their head probably doesnt have time to check in at the digital kiosk since I didnt have an appointment. Overall, very prompt once the physicians assistant realized the urgency of the situation.
Nice office, very clean. Everyone was very friendly and professional. I was seen by a physician very quickly. The physician took his time and listened to my symptoms. He explained everything about my diagnosis and treatments so that I had complete understanding.I will definitely recommend IHA Urgent care in Milan mi.Thank you
Fabulous experience. I suspected I had an awful sinus infection and couldnt take it anymore. Had to see a doc. Booked my Urgent Care appointment online on my phone. Showed up early, was able to check in immediately and swiftly. Only had to wait about an hour, but I was early so it was really much less, more like 45 minutes. They have a big monitor on the wall with your abbreviated name (for confidentiality) with a range of minutes until youll be seen. Its really nice bc you can see that youre next and how many mins until your turn. I saw Dr. A. He actually called me back! Lol Ive never had a physician come to the waiting room and call my name before! Lol Dr. A. was very kind and thorough listening to my lungs, asking questions, etc. He was excellent and ordered me an antibiotic. He suggested other treatments as well. He typed my care plan up with all the instructions he had told me. He had great eye contact and smiled. Super nice guy. He was wonderful. My medical assistant, Beth, who took my vitals was super, too! And the receptionist. Everyone was kind. The facility is gorgeous! They even gave me some paper masks to wear at work to protect me and my students from illness. Awesome experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!
This is the second time Ive needed to visit this Urgent Care and I was very pleased with the care I received both times. Save My Spot is a great tool to use and is almost like having an appointment. There was no waiting for my visit today and once again the staff I dealt with were caring, efficient & professional.
I have been here twice in the past month for unrelated urgent care issues and have found the staff and care to be excellent. They have a system where you can sign up online as a walk-in and save your place in line. Then you can go in when it’s closer to your turn and you avoid having to sit there for two hours waiting to be seen. The CNP’s I saw were both friendly and exceptionally knowledgeable. X-rays were done on site and results were read quickly. Highly recommend!
My 2-year old son experienced higher than normal fevers this past weekend, after regular office hours. After calling the excellent IHA 24/7 nurse hotline at about 4 PM to report our sons fever of approximately 105 degrees F, we were instructed by the nurses to go to the IHA West Arbor Urgent Care, to determine the need to go to the hospital.Upon arrival to the front desk, when I said clearly, My son has a 105 degree fever, the receptionists at the front desk did not move, did not call to get his vitals checked, but instead pointed to the digital kiosk and told me to enter my sons information and fill out a clip board. I did. I then said, Ive filled out this information. What can we do now? I was told, Now you wait. I said, It says I have to wait 20 to 30 minutes. My son has a registered fever of 105 degrees. We were specifically sent by the nurse hotline to have him checked immediately. The response I received was:Youll just have to wait. The nurse hotline is wrong - they think they can tell us to check kids right when they come in. We dont do that. You have to wait like everyone else.I said, The nurses told me my son needed to be seen immediately. Should I just go to an emergency room? They said, Thats your choice, Maam.I had to use my phone to independently call another doctor for a second opinion, to which the doctor I spoke with immediately said, Well, what are your sons vitals? and I said, They have not been taken. The doctor replied, Tell the receptionists to take the vitals immediately. If they dont, you will have to call 9-11.Only after repeating this statement to the receptionists did a doctor walk slowly and casually to the front to check on my son. While it was determined that my son was not experiencing an emergency, what we had to go through to ensure that he was not experiencing an emergency is utterly unacceptable. I was told that the receptionists could tell if a child was having a bad fever. I asked what they thought would have been the appropriate point to check his vital signs. Would passing out have been enough, or would they have needed to wait for a seizure? I did not receive an answer.Reporting this to the regular IHA doctors - Doctor Kucera, Doctor Green-Lee, even the doctor we saw on call - they were horrified for our family.I am not a dramatic person. I am happy to respect policies put into place to ensure fairness and equity, and I respect that the four other people in the urgent care at that time had needs as well. It only took a moment to determine my son was not experiencing an emergency. I wonder what would have happened if he was indeed experiencing an emergency, and I had not advocated for him. Had I seen another parent in my position, I would have advocated on their behalf. It is unacceptable for a person to come in with a toddler under the instruction of the IHA nurse hotline, with the IHA Urgent Care disrespecting their instruction, and refusing until they are pushed to check that an emergency situation is not occurring. It is dangerous and misleading. We will not be using the IHA West Arbor Urgent Care for any urgent matter involving our children again.
I used the online apportionment scheduler to ‘get in line’ for this urgent care. I arrived 10 minutes before my appt was taken back to a room quickly and didn’t wait more than 5 minutes for the doctor. This was so important as it was my two year old who needed to be seen and he’s not big on the dr. The doctor we saw was also great with him which isn’t always the case when you’re not seeing a pediatrician. Great urgent care!
Went to this Urgent Care on September 15 at around 7:30 after having flu-like symptoms. Although there was quite a wait, I had a phenomenal experience with this urgent care. The receptionist working was extremely kind and accommodating and went out of her way to ask/get me a blanket, water, and snack as well as making small talk with me which made the wait go by faster. Dr. Weatherhead was very caring and made sure to take time to explain what tests he was doing and to explain exactly what he believed was causing all my symptoms and how to manage. (also very brave to wear a State lanyard in Ann Arbor ha!) Memorable experience and Im feeling much better, would recommend to any of my friends and family.
Very professional clean clinic. The NP was knowledgeable and sympathetic to my needs. They were very precise on treatment and gave me what was needed instead of giving what was assumed was needed for care. Waited until accurate medical documentation to make judgment on treatment
Went online and scheduled my son for his sports physical. We had an appointment at 9:00am and were completed and out of the office by 9:30. Very pleased with his physical and the efficiency of the office. USE the “save my spot” online to book your appointment! Thank you IHA for this service.
Extremely pleasant staff. Fast and efficient. I went in for a possible fracture or break up of a restauran extremely pleasant staff. Fast and efficient. Went in for possible fracture or break of a wrist, Made an online appointment, called back within five minutes of my appointment time doctor was in to see us within five minutes, Radiology came within five minutes and we saw the doctor 10 minutes after that. We ended up having to get a splint until we can see ortho. They provided us with the radiology report along with scans on a disc. So we got there at one and we were walking out at 2:30, that includes seeing the doctor three times having the nurse check us in having x-rays having a splint put on and having them burn a disc for us. Being a mom it comforts me knowing we have a great urgent care facility nearby. I highly recommend this urgent care.
Im the type of person that hates going to the doctors and I have been sick since the day after Christmas. I went in there this morning the staff was very friendly and helpful and I was in and out of that facility in 25 minutes with an x-ray included and my scripts. This is a phenomenal facility with great staff. Im very satisfied. 😀 mind everyone this is the new location in South Lyon!!!!
A+++ service with reasonable prices and even got a 35% discount for paying full Payment today. Excellent staff, not only beautiful but very professional, very impressed. 120% better then the other urgent care in town, price wise and professionally. Will go no where else but here in the future. Keep up the good work, Chuck LaMay Jr.
I love IHA overall! I did the online sign up for the urgent care & it was great! Total wait time was about 2 hrs. Sure beats going to the ER. The only thing that needs to be different is the doctor or PA needs to state who they are when they come into treat you. They could introduce themsleves like the rest of the staff.
Excellent. The wait was minimal, the staff was professional and friendly. I was going to go to the same urgent care I always do.West has been there for a while and we just switched from U M Family Medicine at Dominos Farms (after being there 12 years once we became a blended family they put my ex’s current wife through a horrible experience, if you are a blended family stay FAR AWAY from that place) to IHA. It’s so close to our home. They were fast, friendly and competent. So much so that I will now make it mine, my husbands and children’s primary provider. I got a young doctor who was really knowledgeable and insisted I call him by first name (yes Dr that are reading this that is REALLY appealing) and as a seasoned nurse they have amazing care quickly and with compassion. One of the best experiences I’ve had in healthcare in so time. I would highly recommend it.
We had a sick toddler on Christmas Eve, and we arrived just over an hour before IHA closed. Our wait was long as they had been very busy - a lot of strep throat diagnosis was happening, I heard. Anyway, we didnt get to see the doctor until well after close, which I felt terrible about. But Dr. Fine treated my daughter as if she was his very first patient of the day. Shes not a fan of the doctors office, but he was absolutely wonderful with her! And both he and the staff went out of their way to find the closest pharmacy that was still open so we could pick up her prescription that night. It was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend this urgent care!
Solid Urgent Care. Always have a great (relatively speaking,) experience here. Theyve helped my little guy with everything from hypoxia and anaphylaxis to the flu. 4 out of 5 times the wait is short. On occasion it can be very busy but staff has always been solid here.
We came in just before 8pm on 10/11/17 and we had the best nurses and doctor. I say We because my boyfriend and I were seen together, which was very convenient. I cant remember the nurses name, and Im so sorry for that, but she was so friendly and kind. She was training a girl named Summer who also was very sweet and friendly and was doing a great job! And Dr. Thiry was very helpful, kind and informative. He seemed to really care for our situation and I dont feel like most doctors always do. IHA is where I always go but if I had the choice, Id always come to see those three. :-)
Friendly and professional. I went to the urgent care for a shoulder injury. I consulted with the PA, had xrays, and was discharged. Although I was there for about 2hrs, that is expected and quick for an emergency style office. All the staff and doctors were wonderful and comforting.
I used to really like IHA until recently. A few months ago we were running late for our appointment because we had to walk there. When we got there to check in, we were met with harsh faces and rude comments. The woman that took is back was extremely unprofessional in the way that she was complaining about us, to us. They made us feel like criminals because we werent on time.I get that everyone needs to be on time to make everything run smoothly, but dont be straight up rude people. On to today, I got an automated message saying I had an appointment on Wednesday, which is strange because after my previous experience I promised to never come back. I never scheduled, so I called to cancel it. The woman in the phone was very short with me and must have asked me 5 times if Im sure I didnt make the appointment. She treated me like an idiot then seemed irritated when I told her I guarantee I did not make the appointment. Its a shame the staff is so rude because the actual doctors are pretty great.
We did not use urgent care, but the lab on the 1st floor. My three year old has to have some routine blood work. I called in advance to ask if they would draw on a young child and they said yes. This was a new place for us but my daughter knew right away we were at a place for blood work. She was anxious and upset. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly to her. We had almost no wait. She did cry when we were getting her ready, but no one was annoyed or bothered (which we have unfortunately experienced elsewhere). They were gentle and experienced. Everyone congratulated her afterwards. Overall as great of an experience as we can hope for. Thanks so much!
From the professionalism at the check in desk to the initial vital sign assessment through the examination, explanations, and recommendations by the examiner, I felt valued, respected and confident that the medical treatment recommended - and NOT recommended - was well founded. The online sign in made for a very short wait time. There is also walk in between 10 and 11:30 M -F that I wish I had been aware of so that I could have been seen much earlier, even though there would have likely been a much longer wait. This is excellent organization, facility, and group of professionals.
The doctor asked a lot of questions and unlike some doctors actually listened to my answers and was not in a hurry. Gave me plan of action to get me on the road to health. First time I have been there it wont be the last. Excellent doctor if he is at that location on a permanent basis Im thinking of switching primary doctors.
Great experience with the staff at IHA Urgent Care- WestArbor. It was great to do the online save my spot so I could check in right after I was done with work instead of waiting. Its a little confusing in the beginning. You can enter on the first or second floor (technically it is on the 2nd floor) Check in using the console under the large TV on the left side of the big waiting room. Then go up to the front desk. There are five desks in a row and at the far left desk are clipboards with a patient history form. Take one to fill out and theyll call your name.My Medical Assistant was kind and friendly. The Nurse Practitoner was very knowledgeable and took my concerns seriously. The Radiologist was very thorough with the ultrasound and moved quickly so I would not be uncomfortable. I left with a very detailed written plan and an order for blood tests. I was too late in the evening, but there is a pharmacy and lab in the same building which is very convenient.
I used the sign up online feature to reserve a spot. My time was 11:05, and I arrived at about 10:50. I spent a few minutes filling out paperwork, and had just sat down when they called my name. I didnt even have time to open the book I brought! Once I got to the exam room, I was seen immediately by a physician assistant and then just a few minutes later the doctor came in. I was out of there by 11:30-- less than 45 minutes frm check-in to exit! And although they were quick and efficient, I did not feel rushed. They took their time asking me questions, doing the exam, and letting me ask them questions. Overall a VERY positive experience. I would go there again and I would recommend to others.
Walked in for a finger laceration, there was about a 90 minute wait. I gave them my phone number and they said they would text me 10 minutes before I would have to be back. I ran to Meijer and Starbucks. Got back just in time for them to call me back. Doc stitched me up and I was on my way just a little under 2 hours after the initial walk in. I made it back for my girls’ birthday party.Quick, thorough, friendly. Will absolutely recommend.
I have been there a few times in the past few months for myself. Once for my husband and twice for my son as well. Everyone is so nice there and makes us feel comfortable. Everyone there is so knowledgeable about everything medically. It is usually so fast as well. In and out. Longest time there was 70 minutes because a lot of people were there. Shortest was 15 minutes a few times. 30 minutes a few times as well.Definately a good place to go.
I did not have a great experience here. After the doctor told me I had an incurable disease and prescribed me medication before even getting the test results back, I left pretty distraught. Would take away stars if it was an option. They never called me to tell me my test results. I only found out the results because UHS at the university of michigan was able to see my results from them on the portal and told me. Luckily, the doctor from IHA misdiagnosed me and I will be fine. However, I will not be returning to this place ever again.
I really am disappointed with this practice. I have mistakes on my chart for the past 7 months. They confused me with a patient with a related name. Theyve sent my medicine to the wrong pharmacy 2-3 times. I dont feel like the doctor really wants me to come in for illness or the root of my problems. He wants to treat my symptoms and refill scripts.
Before I drove 40 miles to this place, I called the day before of my appointment to ask them if they did a CBC and a BMP from another doctor. They told me, Yes. I called the day of my appointment and asked them the same question again, and again they said, Yes. I drive 40 miles to get the needed testing, and I was told at the front counter that they wouldnt do it. Now, my surgery has to get postponed because IHA gave me the run around in the little time I had to get this testing. Thanks IHA, because IHA will NOT be paying for the consequences of my health. That lands on me and my health now. Thanks!!!
I was sent for a virus test to the IHA Schoolcraft urgent care center. I was treated by some of the finest healthcare people who are dedicated to their profession and care for the people who go there. A big thank you to all of them and I highly this staff and location.
I was there tonight for a plethora of symptoms. The office staff was kind and the nurse was amazing in sorting out my symptoms. Dr. Shkolnik is easily one of the greatest physicians Ive seen. He was kind, knowledgable and took his time explaining everything to me even though it was past closing time. After he figured out what was going on with me, which turned out to be three separate things, he wrote up a plan and went over it step-by-step with me.
Please be advised that if you go to the urgent Care, they most likely will NOT take your insurance and you will be 100% responsible for the bill. They told me they were 100% certain they take our insurance, and it has already been processed. To our surprise, one year later we receive a bill from them stating we owe the full bill. Apparently this happens frequently as we have one of the major, typical, insurance plans. They hold you to the bill because you sign a waiver stating you will pay any charges not paid by your insurance.I suspect all of the 5-star reviews are from people who have not gotten their bill 1 year later because for some reason they wait this long without giving you any notification.Edit: oh and I forgot this part because this happened a year ago. They forgot about us too. We were sitting there for 4 hours (coming up to the desk every 45 minutes or so asking how much longer, so idk how they could have forgotten us).Im reading reviews and I see most of these high ratings are for the other health-related businesses in the building, or a different location entirely. They are all pretty much people confused on what they are rating, which explains how such a terrible business can have such a high rating.
This evening my daughter broke her arm. We were seen at IHA milan urgent care by her nurse practitioner Nicole Kremer, X-ray tech Ashley ball, medical assistant Beth vago and front desk receptionist Shelby Musial. They functioned like a well oiled machine. They were friendly, kind, and caring. I am a nurse Practitioner myself and I could’ve taken my daughter anywhere. But IHA Milan will be where my family always goes. We were in and out within 2 hours with the best care. Thank you IHA!
Went into urgent care today because my asthma was acting up and I’m pregnant so it worried me extra taking my asthma medicine and making sure baby was getting enough oxygen... all the nurses and doctors were so nice and helpful and put my mind at ease ! Highly recommend:)
The medical practitioners we have seen here are terrific, but as long as there is a pandemic I am leaving this review up to warn you that the protocols they seem to have in place (according to their website) are bogus. The receptionist isnt wearing a mask and the medical staff doesnt seem to care!
Took my 9 month old to the Milan urgent care for another ear infection. Made an appointment only for 654 arrived for check and back by 7 pm and out by 720 pm with a diagnosis and antibiotic for hopefully a restful night. Will recommend to all our friends and family. And think its going to be amazing for milan, saline, dundee, ida, Petersburg, and Monroe residents. Everyone was extremely friendly from the front desk to the PA we saw and very concerned about my son and helping him. Recommend putting a light up urgent care sign in the front so patients know the place is open and available!
Amazing through caring staff from check in to check out. Our 5 month old baby was having a reaction to Augmentin and even with a full waiting room they rushed him back and made him a priority. The nurse and Dr were so friendly and took their time with us and all of my rediculos questions. I wouldnt hesitate for one second to go back there for any of our urgent needs. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ♥️ the del Rosario family
If you are in a hurry, do not come here. Was told 5 minutes...turned into over 90 minutes. No explanations. No apologies. This is the most inefficient urgent care I;ve ever seen. You can go to the ER and be discharged faster than this place can handle you. First time I went and it took hours....shame on them. Second time I went and it took hours. SHAME ON ME. I will never go back to this place. They need to get rid of the computer system and do first come first served.
Well the staff were nice enough here. That wasnt the issue. But I went in with severe vomiting dehydration and diarrhea. And after I was there for a couple hours they decided I needed to go to Saint Joes. So I went to the Saint Joes ER by ambulance. And started all over again -- at the bottom of the heap. Seems like , Given the relationship between IHA and Saint Joes So far I have been sitting in both places a total of four hours and I havent gotten more than a quarter of a bag of IV fluid which was in the ambulance. Not too impressive
I can not fault the care I received but the billing is terrible, every month I receive a bill for the same visit that I went to in June 2017. Paid the bill promptly when received. But every month they review it and claim that I magically owe an extra amount for the SAME visit, despite me paying in full each time!! BEWARE. I will no longer be going here as their financial practices are greedy and unethical and give a bad name to American Healthcare. This is a pity as I like the doctor I go to, but not enough to keep paying a magical unjustified ongoing amount for a 15min visit for the rest of my life.
10Comment. Dr szymamski is awesome in explaining his plan for me and what he is thinking. Great communicator!Nurse asked me intelligent questions and verified my questions using my record. So professional. Thank you for a positive experience during walk-in.My personal doctor is a keeper for life.
Best medical care I’d say. Just fell down through the ceiling and hurt my back. Wondered if I broke any bones. Since only half hour left on Sunday evening, I thought I would not get consultation. But not only did I get consultation but also x ray done right away and my results. Thankfully nothings broken, just some tissue damaged. Was really excellent service
They are wonderful people. I was in there yesterday with very bad back pain and the Doctor and staff were so caring they were doing all they could to help rase my pain. I then brought my husband there today for his eye . they were so good to him . this is my go to place .
Doctor was terrible. Dont recall who she was but it was a woman. Asked me questions but wouldnt let me get 5 words out before she interrupted me repeatedly and said some mean and nasty things. Too bad too because my friend recommended this place. I was too sick to argue or talk faster so I ran out of their crying and not getting any help.
Was sent here for x-rays. 55 minutes after checking in I asked x-ray tech where I stood in line. Receptionist hadnt even told her I was there. 20 minutes after THAT (hour and 15 minutes after arrival) I was finally called back to start my x-rays. 8:30 Ortho appointment (that needed the x-rays) became a 10:30 Ortho appointment.
Ladies at desk are always RUDE to me. Doctor I have sucks (Klays) she always doesn’t give me a good diagnoses like she just wants to shove me out of there quick. Quite annoying. But it’s a clinic so what do you expect. Switching to a private doctor who knows what they are doing. Not spending my money on people who don’t know what they doing or don’t care about me.
1st visit was ok. 2nd visit my wife was stuck in the examination room for over an hour with our crying infant before the doctor showed up. After the visit there was a miscommunication from the doctor to the pharmacy that further hindered treatment. The doctor did not answer or return calls from the pharmacy. We are not going back to this location again.
Went here for my daughter who had a possiblr u.t.i. she is two years old. Couldnt get a urine culture from her because she just couldnt go. Went home with all the supplies to collect my own sample from her. Was instructed to drop it off whenever and drop it off to the front desk. When i droped it off to like i was instructed and the women looked at me like i was insane. Was so rude told me to wait while she went and grabed someone. Long story short. They never called me i called two days later because my daughter is still pain and they tell me that the test was incomplete. We have to do it over again. I truly believe that they forgot about it and let it sit out to long and disregarded it. So pissed off. I have to start all over again.

2022-04-03I had a very positive experience at IHA urgent care this afternoon. When I made an appointment online just after noon, they had quite a few open appointments to choose from. I chose a 2:39 appointment and was seen promptly after arriving. The nurse practitioner, Galen, was professional, friendly, and got right to the core of the issue. She ruled out more serious things and sent a prescription which was ready in a half an hour. I wish I could remember the name of the nurse, sorry about that, she was also warm and professional. It’s very reassuring to know that IHA urgent care is available when things come up on a weekend. Thanks so much!

2022-05-03I have been to this urgent care before and they did a very nice job. However, I took my 11 month old there for hives/rash today after recommendation from our pediatrician. When we arrived we werent asked why we were there or who the patient was. We walked up to check in and the receptionist said they were full and there were several people in front of us so we probably wouldnt been seen for hours. When I told her we would wait, she just kept saying we wouldnt be seen and they were full with appointments She told us to go to another urgent care. It felt like we were being denied care. At a urgent care I think you need to triage patients, however she never asked why we were even there. Really disappointed this time.

2022-01-28I had a fantastic experience with IHA urgent care, West Ann Arbor, today. I was able to schedule my appointment online, get a phone message via text 30 minutes prior to my appointment to show up in 30 minutes. Then, when I showed up, I stood in line for two minutes waiting to check in. I sat in the waiting room for only about seven minutes and I was taken back to a room. The doctor (Dr. Cawood) was efficient and thorough, and had a lovely bedside manner. I had a diagnosis and prescription within 15 minutes and when I left I had not been there more than 30 minutes total I would absolutely recommend the IHA urgent care, West Ann Arbor, to everyone. The other thing I learned on the website is that IHA West Ann Arbor has a different door for patients who are entering with Covid symptom . I felt much safer in the waiting room being there with people who did not have Covid symptoms.

2022-05-01In short, my visit was quick and the doctors very competent, much better experience than UM.I went to their urgent care on Saturday around noon for something unknown but painful in my eye that I was not able to flush out. My wife first called and they answered directly to say they could handle an eye injury. Check-in was immediate and the wait was barely 10 minutes. The doctor was very competent and immediately numbed and stained my eye so that he could examine it. He then called in another doctor who then q-tipped under my eyelid, on and around my eye. I was satisfied with that and discharged. When the numbing wore off after an hour nap at home, my eye felt much better and the unknown something clearly gone.In previous years I have scratched my eye twice and learned what competent eye injury care is. Absolutely incompetent was the UM man Hospital Emergency room; they made the pain worse and left because they were clueless. Best was optometrist Dr Bulos at The Eye Gallery. Therefore, I feel well qualified to say that the IHA Urgent Care WestArbor was very competent and while hopefully not needed again, I would go back there for any urgent needs.

2021-10-28After a minor disagreement with a chain saw, a visit to urgent care was required.Amber, Emily and Nurse Practitioner Stacey made our stop at IHA Urgent Care a truly wonderful experience. Our walk in to the treatment room was timely, the triage was excellent, my care/multiple sutures were simply exceptional by Stacey. Her bedside manner, caring attitude and steady hand were absolutely reassuring.IHA Urgent Care (Jackson Rd) was great and we’d recommend it to everyone!

2021-12-15We were registered efficiently and treated with respect and friendliness throughout our visit. I loved being able to have one appointment for both kids. It was an excellent experience and we will return, for sure…I mean if we must require urgent services.

2021-12-16Should have read the reviews a little closer. Went to the lab, no health check on entry, no masks available, no nothing. This is an URGENT care facility and they had NO safety protocols in place. So I asked a staff member if I could have a mask, she first just ignored me, then I got a sneer and she reluctantly reached into a box and gave me one. Went to the lab itself, walked and was ordered to take a number and sit down, not very what you would call caring and customer focused. I did not feel like sitting so I stood in a corner waiting and was once again screamed at and told to SIT DOWN. I just left and never will return. This is a disgrace from all fronts, clearly something is broken in this facility and it is not just affecting service but a public health crisis(their words).Someone needs to fix this or call the Washtenaw Health Department and close them down.
