Smoothie was fine, but its pretty frustrating when you stand there while youre smoothie is sitting on the blender done and all 5 people who came in after you leave with thier stuff before you.
The fat hijabi and the 12 year old are the worst employees they messed up my smoothie and got mad cuz I said it was watered down

Any establishment that thinks it’s ok to thank their customers by closing earlier than their listed hours of operations are not worth patronizing. It’s unfortunate that on today 9/18/21 Sunday myself and several other patrons walked up to the door of tropical smoothie only to find they appeared to have been closed since 8:30p. I’ll be finding a new favorite location. I thought this one had integrity. I was wrong. What do we make hours of operations for again. Just ridiculous. Wish I could give 0 stars. This is a slap in the face for me driving past my closest location to come here. Never again

S h i t t i e s t location. Ran by teenagers who giggle and screw around while the place is full of waiting customers. They always botch orders and do not care whos time they waste. While the room is full of people waiting, a group of girls walks in. manager comes out takes their order, makes it right then, then disappeared to the back. Rest of the staff are doing nothing. Never again.

Just ordered a Island green and it was horrible not blended very well and there was no flavor to it at all taste like water wasted my money did not receive what I asked for
Honestly love this store. Workers are nice and smoothie always taste great. One thing that I always complain about is the amount of staff they have working. Right now I just walked in at 8 pm and they where slammed. Only 2 workers I honestly feel bad for the workers. They where running around working very hard trying there best but sometimes it’s to hard. An extra worker or 2 wouldn’t hurt honesty and phone lines are busy and that’s also due to it being under staffed. I would honestly have 3-4 workers at all time just to make sure everything runs smooth.

Updated Review:So after having my order picked up after the first failed delivery attempt, it was STILL made incorrectly. I didn’t even bother reaching back out this the store because they are no help at all. I contacted the franchise owner himself and he made and redelivered my entire order. It was made correctly, my smoothie was flavorful unlike the previous one, I was no longer missing any items and his delivery time was amazing. Thank you.First Review:I placed an online delivery order for 2 sandwiches and two drinks and the driver on showed up with only the drinks. I called the restaurant and the employee said that I would now have to come in to pick it up or wait 7-10 days for a refund. They didn’t even offer to re-deliver the order. They were rude about it and not helpful at all
My whole order is wrong I ordered delivery through uber eats my total came to 64.00. And the I received only my 3 smoothes. My 4 sandwiches and sweet potatoes were not sent with driver. Driver said that restaurant told him that was all I ordered smh. The damn driver seen my order and showed it to me on his phone and nobody felt it was their responsibility to get me the correct order.
I’m a regular Here at this location and often get Attended by a young lady who I believe goes by the name of Nanci. Her warm welcomes bring me the feeling of joy and safety. So I thought I’d take some time out my day for a personal thank you. I just simply cannot risk letting her positive attitude and great customer service go unrecognized or unappreciated. I feel strongly that people like Nanci, are what keeps this world a better place. :) keep up the great work please.
I wish I can add a zero star due to my experience. I recommend no one giving this location of tropical smoothie any business. Every employee is extremely rude. I am a regular customer, I would expect the customer service to be amazing, I continuously get disrespected. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!
I love this place. They have a tremendous variety of different kinds of smoothies to please every kind of smoothie lover. Every morning I try to treat myself to a detox Island Green. They also have a happy hour between 8 to 9 some places are from 8 to 10 where all the smoothies are half off. They also have smoothies for kids and a few lunch specials. However I really wish they had more vegan choices as far as the food.
Good place for friends and family gathering, first time here, Came with friend and ordered smoothies. Amazing smoothies!The place was well maintained, and clean. They are a good place to go but tonight I arrived at 8:45p and they let me place my order, 5 minutes later they explained that they had already cleaned and sanitized the blenders. They did refund me but why not just close the doors indicating you are closed. Not good customer service.

I just walked in this place a few min ago and nobody even opened their mouths to speak or ask if I wanted ANYTHING!! I was the only one standing in the store and there were three people at the front and no one greeted or said a thing. I ordered a smoothie with no bananas and they added it by mistake. They made me a new one and were willing to refund me my money also! They also gave me an extra drink for free and were unwilling to take money! Excellent customer service! They definitely have my retention.
Worst food service and experience I have ever had. I had stopped between appointments to grab a smoothie and a quick meal. The item I ordered, which was the Santa Fe Chicken Quesadilla had several key ingredients missing, including roasted red peppers, onion, queso, and roasted tomato salsa.I was given cheddar cheese, black beans, white rice (which i never even expected because it’s not in the listed ingredients), and big chunks of grilled chicken thrown inside. Instead of there even a side of any salsa, I was given sour cream, which I do not even eat.I called the location to try to get an understanding how any of this was even possible. I proceeded to tell the tropical smoothie employee (whose name is on the receipt), that I received a dry quesadilla. She proceeded to tell me that she was just informed that they are out of salsa. I questioned why this pertinent information was not given prior to the food even being prepared. She proceeded to tell me to calm down because obviously she didn’t understand that not only was the salsa missing so was so many other things. I literally couldn’t eat what was thrown into the box.I asked for the manager, while on hold, I was hung up on. I call the Tropical Smoothie location back. I tell the person who answered the phone that I was waiting to speak to a manager and she then told me she was that person. I asked her name and she denied when I requested a last name. I proceeded to tell her the situation and her response was I could come back and receive a replacement quesadilla. But what in fact should I be receiving from your location? That did not have salsa and several other missing ingredients????? I told her I was already gone and I wasn’t. She then told me goodbye.Never again. If quality service and any type of standard isn’t your thing. Don’t get a job working with people, and especially not with food! I work for my money and I want what I pay for done how it’s promoted to be.

I have been to all the tropical cafe within 30 mile radius. This location smoothe tastes so much better. Staff has always fixed issues if any and I love the staff. Healthy, delicious smoothies and food.

Do not come to this location smoothies are never made right then when you ask them to make it over they dont want to make it over...just had to argue with a female because she doesnt know how to make smoothies. Not happy with TSC today! I was just there and ordered a smoothie and a sandwich, the smoothie was what I ordered and given to me right away, but I had to wait an unusually long time for my sandwich to be made because the kid that took my order I think forgot that I even ordered one because it seemed more important for him to socialize with his friends that came In and I had to remind him that I ordered a sandwich so then he quickly made it for me and then ended up giving me the wrong one!!! Then I tried to call several times to tell them I was given the wrong order and no one answered!!! Very unprofessional 🤨🤬
I ordered using the Tropical Smoothie Cafe App. After I ordered my car was stuck in the snow and wasnt able to pick up my order. I called to tell them I wasnt going to make it, I Thought I took a lost but The Owner was nice enough to deliver my food on his own time. Very nice Service.
July 22, 2020I went to this location and was met by a very rude cashier. ( female in gray shirt)Currently a lot of businesses are Struggling due to Covid 19, so the least she couldve done was Spoke!!FYI:Without customers to support your business there will be No opening of your establishment or paychecks to be signed!Then! Nobody was practicing good hygiene.The cashiers made smoothies AFTER handling cash money!NEVER stopping to wash their hands, then we wonder why covid is spreading rapidly.Have some bleach water in a bucket at all times so the counter tops and be properly sanitized and educate staff on washing between each customers.I wont be returning to this location, due to lack of hand washing, bad attitudes, and poor customer service. Too much of a HIGH RISK!
Usually go to the location on Michigan ave but had to stop here due to being short on time. A couple was taking their time looking at the menu(not in line) so I figured somebody could take my order since I already knew what I wanted, but instead the girl was leaning back on the counter and her co worker was just standing there. Finally the couple decided what to order and the girl didn’t want to help them instead she made the guy ring them out. By the time I finally got helped I had been there for 15 minutes. This location is closer to my job but after this service I will continue to go to a different location. Btw the old employees were much more helpful.

I dont want to go into details about what happened because the general manager Brooke solved the problem immediately. Shes going far in life with whatever business shes owns or works for . The incident happened two weeks ago and Im still highly impressed by her customer service skills. I had to give her a positive review on her store and how she runs it . I goggled the liviona location and although its 4 mins from my house Ill take the trip for better service . I like spending my hard earned money with people who want my business ....
Walked in at 8:20pm. Two ladies working but took at least 2 mins to even acknowledge i was there. I order a smoothie and cashier asks if i want anything else. I attempt to order a pressed sandwich only to be told that theyre closing soon and the ovens are off. Ummm...u guys were still open for 40 mins and what kind of business stops selling main items almost an hour prior to closing? And i drove from Downtown Detroit! I wont be back.

I usually get pretty good service and smoothies from this place. However today being my birthday I was given two watered down smoothies. I ordered an Island Green and an Immune boosting smoothie. It was very watered down and the immune booster had pieces of green in it. At any rate I allowed them to remake it and again it was watered down. So I was given a total of 4 watered down smoothies. Once my blender at home is repaired I will resume making my own smoothies. I will no longer come back to this TSC ever again. They also refunded it via online but I won’t be back here they are inconsistent.
The smoothies here are so delicious and ice cold, great for a hot summer day! I got the Sunrise Sunset, Bahama Mama, and the Island Green smoothie, the Bahama Mama was the best one! It has strawberries, pineapple, white chocolate, and coconut. It sounds like a weird combination but it works, I didnt even taste the chocolate it just adds some sweetness.
The whole place seems to be run by low-level functioning children. If the owner is running some special needs program then good for him, otherwise they should rethink staffing. Also, like many Dearborn businesses, the hours posted online are simply a suggestion and theyll close whenever they feel like it. Not reliable at all and I wont be coming back.
Smoothies are good. I came into this place on February 27, 2019. Around 9pm. I asked for a mango, blueberry and pineapple shake. She asked me ”do you want strawberry ?” so I said ”no..does it make it taste better??” and she says ”well most of the time people order strawberries.” so okay I said ”well usually they put too much strawberry..” so she goes ”do you want strawberry or not??!” (rude) ”no I want what I asked for little girl”.. Wont return
Horrible service, workers were very rude . When we asked them to remake our drinks due to no taste and chunks of fruit and ice they walked to the back and started laughing. Also masks and gloves were not used properly. Stick to the tropical on ford road lol.
Went in this afternoon for a smoothie, get in my car drive two blocks in I have to return it because it tastes like pure water... return it and the gyrl who made wants to argue about it. Get home ready to eat my club in it has mayo on it, I’m so over them today
I am allergic to ginger and have been served ginger 4 times at this location. This last time I even had Uber Eats deliver. Only to have spent $ on delivery, cash tip and gotten a bad smoothie. I will never ever support this business again. I find it dangerous that they continue to serve the public in this manner. I will do nothing but tell everyone to not support this business on Schaefer Rd. Calling the health department. This will be resolved.

They claim that they close at 10pm but they close when they feel like it. I was there at 9:20 I tried to open the main door to find out both of the doors were locked, and there are two girls sweeping and talking to a third on while laughing at me. Very rude TBH.

They fell off big time, everyone walks around confused, my peanut paradise was full of ice chunks, and my chicken wrap took 47 minutes to make, last time ever going.
After driving to the one in West Dearborn for a few months, I found out there was a Tropical Smoothie Cafe much closer to work. I really want to like this location but so far it has not been as good as the other one. I always order a Chia Banana Boost. But at this location, the almonds werent ground up enough and I almost broke my tooth because they were so hard. Today I got a Hummus Veggie Bowl. The lettuce was brown and did not taste fresh. Unfortunately, I did not have time to go back as I had to be back at work. It was busy, so I was surprised that the food wasnt fresh. Anyways, I am writing this as a hope for improvement! Take a note from the other one down the road.
So I tried calling them 10 minutes before they closed like 10 times and got no answer. I was going to place an order so by the time I would get there, it would be done , that way I dont keep them after 10pm. I get there at 10pm exactly and a black girl tells me theyre closed. Before I leave the parking lot, a dearborn cop pulls up right by me and walks in. He places an order at 10:10pm -_- I walked up again to the door and a younger kid making his order tells me their closed. I tried talking to him from the door and telling him I was calling but got no answer before and he just acts like he doesnt know what Im saying . Lmao just ridiculous. Never again will I go to that location.
I came in to enjoy my smoothie in peace. For some reason there was like a calm before the storm like situation. All of a sudden 2 boys came in apparently they knew the owners but made themselves comfortable in making their own smoothies,they werent in any uniform to identify themselves. The one guy begins to make alot of noise, cursing and rapping until he saw me in the corner then he ducked away. Previous before the guy begans to curse they were playing around behind the counter. The smoothies are cool but the playing around in very distasteful and disrespectful. This may be the last time me coming here. #rude
Near the city, quick service, and so many interesting options. All kinds of restaurants nearby so dont hesitate to get dessert here! Covered outdoor patio seating is plentiful, great for a summer or spring evening.
I don’t understand the point of doing an online order if you just have to wait in line anyway to pick it up. Other tropical cafes have a part of the store specifically meant for pick up for online orders. This tropical cafe needs to catch up.
Today i went by and they had a 20 % off coupon just there for free all you had to do was text a number and boom upon saved me about $2 the only bad thing was that there was a lot of noise not from people so not a good place to study. Also very good drinks.

They do not rinse blenders after each use. There is tons of gunk and build up from previous smoothies. Im out here for work a d Im disgusted. Where I live they drop them in the sink right after they pour the smoothie in the cup.

2022-03-31A single bad experience doesnt necessarily warrant a 1-star review, but after comming here on and off for 4 years I can safely say this is the worst tropical smoothie Ive been to.Sides literly fractions of the size of 4-5 other locations Ive traveled to. Sandwiches near entirely bread.Cold cheese on quesadillas.Shredded cheese on sandwiches that require slices.Kale slaw almost entirely void of actualy slaw dressing.Smoothie blended with so much banana it was slimey.And today.. a smoothie blended with so much ice it was mostly water when drinking. By the time I got to the bottom I had an icey paste the consistency of a slushy.I typically grab and go, and chalk it up to variance, and just try again in a month or so. I dont even blame the staff at this point, its been 4 years... Has to be management. With so many 1-start reviews I guarantee this stores rating is artificially boosted.

2022-05-03If I could leave a zero star review I honestly would. In my experience and from what I have heard the phone is constantly off the hook so no carry out orders can be placed, anytime I come in I ALWAYS speak first in which I rarely get a response, and you can bet the store is always going to close 15 minutes before it is supposed to. The smoothies are hit or miss, either they are lumpy (not smooth at all) or the order is entirely wrong. No longer will I patronize or recommend this store to ANYONE. In my opinion these issues needs to be addressed ASAP to retain and build clientele.

2022-03-17This location is the worst Tropical Smoothie I’ve ever been to. I’ve been here several times and each time the food is made wrong in comparison to others I’ve been to. The smoothies are cool but the food is horrible. It’s managed by a bunch of teenagers that do not know how to make the food properly. There needs to be some higher level of training to teach them how to make the food, especially the wraps. Avoid wasting your time and money!!!

2021-12-07I am vegetarian never had a problem with this. I have been one my whole life and the gave me meat on my order which u accidentally ate a bite of Im so disgusted they also gave me the wrong chips and wrong smoothie it was all so careless I am so upset this place deserves no stars and whoever did that should seriously be addressed imagine if they did this with something someone was allergic to this is awful

2022-07-15Echoing off of other reviews, I believe the customer service is not even close to being ideal. Communication is a very key skill in customer service. Employees lack this. I went in asking for a cheese quesadilla and I was recommended something else - the employee listed multiple ingredients and amongst which was chicken. I told her I wanted [just] cheese. I got a quesadilla with chicken in it and I didnt realize until I took a bite. I feel sick to my stomach.

2022-06-23This tropical smoothie on schaefer rd is the worst one ive ever been to, i usually go to the one on michigan but this one is closer to me now in the mornings, every time i order my drinks theyre made wrong and taste funny, the attitude these workers have are the worst, im one guy coming in by myself to pick up 3 drinks and half the time they dont even give a cup holder so how im i expected to carry 3 drinks by myself? The customer service and just by far everything is the worst here. Either train them better or get new workers. if i could rate this a 0 star i would.

2022-06-28Everytime I get a drink it’s to watery and dripping. This place has changed a lot over the years. Even when I walk in and it’s empty the employees don’t bother to come up to me right away. Just stand there looking at me weird

2022-02-05I ordered a peanut paradise smoothie with whey protein and dark chocolate TWICE from this location. Both times I received a smoothie with no peanut butter. The first time I brushed it off as an honest mistake. But twice?!? It’s not always about speed! The focus should be accuracy

2022-03-02They never answer the phone at this location. I ordered 3 smoothies through the app and only received 2. Can’t even get in touch with anyone to get my money back… and this is not the first time this has happened at this location, smh.

2022-03-13I DoorDash 2 Bahama mama smoothie’s which have no flavor I am not happy at all about this order it was very watery can you please make it optional on DoorDash for no H2O! I would also like my money back
