Had a last-minute move and needed an estimate ASAP. Emailed for a quote and within 10 minutes got a call with a price. The rate was competitive, and the office workers and movers were all professional, efficient and easy to work with.
It took me a while to write a review because I prefer to avoid writing bad reviews. For the way moving was executed, I paid too much money. Pros: fast! Cons: Broke a lot of stuff, including a $700+ statue that was outside my old house. Which is fine, the damage report is filed, but the statue belong to my landlord and it could be moved from the way easily. I still dont understand why they didnt do that as it is an obvious thing. The wall in my old place is damaged, too. Two of my heirlooms that were in a box and (!) in thick bubble wrap were crashed. Did they throw the boxes? I did tell them there was nothing too fragile, but I didnt expect it meant you could throw boxes. The items belonged to my grandmother who lives on another continent, and there isnt a price tag on them. Im happy that I took care of the most priced possessions myself or I couldnt imagine the devastation. I’ve also realized this morning they completely ruined my coffee table. See attached pictures. There was a footprint on my mattress, too, which is a sign they didnt really care. When I asked what was that, they said it wasnt them. A ghost in shoes then did that? They first offered a mattress protector, and they said I dont really need it. I shouldnt have been that naive to say ok. The guys also for some reason didnt finish bringing all the items to the truck, and then told me they were done. I pointed out to the obvious, and they took care of it. Finally, but I could let this one slide: some of my furniture ended up in my new place half assembled and they didnt put it back together to the way they collected it. The furniture isnt of high quality, and is confusing to put back together, but considering, again, the amount of cash Ive dropped into this, the recklessness with which everything was handled is disappointing.
They did a great job. Came by to give a precise quote which nobody else did, explained all the variables, set up a packing day before the actual moving day, and they crushed it on moving day. This was for a business move as we downsized.
I am so glad we chose to move with Two Men and a Truck. Our moving team was amazing — they were so efficient and made the whole process a breeze. Could not be happier!
Everyone was professional and friendly all around. Office personnel were super helpful as I had to change drop off location twice. Movers were quick, careful, and polite. I highly recommend this company and will use again in the future.

Initial correspondence with a quote and dates was prompt and very accommodating. I planned my move in advance and at the last minute they had a staffing issue which they managed to correct for me just in time to have everything go just as smoothly as it was scheduled to, which I am so grateful for!! Would definitely recommend to anyone! So nice to have such a professional, and easy, pleasant experience when moving, which is never all of those things! 😅

Clark and his team were amazing! Although they had a long day, they were smiling and having a good time with each other while still getting the job done ahead of schedule and being professional. We had a great experience with Two Men and a Truck Detroit. My husband and I were moving from a storage unit to our house. The day before we were supposed to move we found out our storage unit lost power, so within an hour before the office closed we called to reschedule. The office agent was incredibly accommodating and compassionate to our situation, and moved us to a different date later in the week.We worked with Clark, Junior, Ramone and Ron. All four were professional, courteous, kind and efficient. Highly recommend these guys!!!!
Highly recommended. They arrived on time, made sure everything is protected and they delivered on time as well. The moving team was pleasant and professional. Dealing with the main office was a breeze and they actually took the time to confirm all the details the day prior to moving. The only drawback is the high initial deposit (50%), but they are guranteed to get the job done.
Two Men and A Truck were terrific, FAST friendly and totally together! I had all my stuff packed and ready to go and they moved my stuff swiftly coming in 2 hours BELOW the estimate!!! That saved me money and a good chunk of my day. Really appreciate Theo and his team of guys!

As we all know, moving can be one of the most stressful situations. Working with two men and a truck was awesome. From the first phone call to schedule the appointment. Which was a great experience. The scheduler was very kind and caring. The day of the move, the team was on time. I have to say, I had three guys who were the most engaging, hilarious team. The biggest thing that stood out to me , the team worked well with each other. They seemed to really enjoy working together. Cracking jokes on each other which kept me entertained the entire job. Most of all.......professional. They cared about my items and kept me updated through the process of the morning. I’ll definitely used the company again. And highly recommend the service.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to revise our move date up two weeks which required finding the right moving company within 5 days of our move date. Jackie, in the office, was fast to tell us she could make it happen on our date and was very quick to get us a quote.We agreed upon the price, which was better than the competition, and hit the jackpot with Melvin and Jesse who showed up on time and ready to work. They were professional and did not skip a beat getting every item out of our 2 story loft on the second floor of a multi unit building safely and quickly.When it came time to unload at the house, these guys made quick work of a full truckload and asked where + how to put each item. These guys love what they do and it shows. Made a usually unpleasant experience, moving, into a breeze. 10 out of 10 will use again!
OK, so I am having a hard time here. On the one hand, Two Men and a Truck were able to book the loading/packing of our house very last min when we had a fraudulent company fall through. They were extremely friendly, very responsive, and very very reasonably priced. Also, the movers who arrived at our house worked tirelessly, and moved very heavy items with ease. They wore masks almost the whole time in my house - which was important to me and my wife.OK, so now for the negative. Moving day was very stressful, I watched the movers pack up the initial stuff, saw them doing a good job, and went about my business packing up certain items and running around - I was very busy. I saw them pack up the truck with the first load of boxes and furniture and it was all good. Well, I guess towards the end they ran out of packing materials or something. We are moving across the country and are using a transport/truck company that puts up a big wooden barrier to mark how much of the truck you use. So, at the end of the day, the movers put up that barrier before I could see inside the truck and see what they had done. But since I had seen the beginning of the pack job which seemed great, I assumed it was all good. The next day I removed that barrier and saw several things - a lot of which are very valuable to me and my wife... barely wrapped, and barely secured. It seems like the movers ran out of packing materials, and kind of just improvised, leaving a lot of boxes opened.. and a lot of items just loose. I bought several furniture blankets... and I guess they ran out of that, the packing wrap they used on a lot of the furniture. They didnt tell us this and just packed without it instead. I would have gladly gone to a store to get more stuff for them had they told me. So instead, my wife and I had to scramble, try to unpack a lot of the truck, prioritize our most valuable items.. and repack them securely, all before our flight departed that day - it was a very stressful few hours.So on the one hand, i really appreciate the front office, the companys flexibility, ability to work with me on short notice, and honestly for the most part the movers were great. But the last say 25% of our truck was very poorly packed. If this were a local move I think it would have been ok. But we are going a long way, I still dont know if our fix will secure out things enough. Crossing my fingers.
The BEST moving company hands down they were so nice most in importantly I felt they valued my time and money like they moved my things so fast and were careful while doing so, just absolutely amazing. I will never ever use any other moving company again if your moving use this company im telling you they are worth every penny. Ive now used Two Men and a Truck for 2 moves over the last 3 years. Each experience was excellent. Their prices are transparent and their team of movers are professional and highly skilled. Both times, the amount I paid was less than anticipated and I could not be more satisfied with my experiences. I highly recommend them.
Floyd and his crew were fast, efficient, and courteous. They were able to move my personal property from my 11th floor apartment to a storage unit in 2.25 hours. I tipped them well (over 20% based on their total service rate charges on a weekend) especially since this is difficult and labor-intensive work. They wrapped my couch, chairs, dining room table, and dresser. I also asked them to wrap my headboard, coffee and side tables, paintings, and framed photos since theyre going to storage. Good tip from Floyd: do not saran-wrap TV since the pressure can cause damage. However, I wish they organized and stacked better when they put things in storage. I spent another hour of reorganizing after they left. My wardrobe boxes were damaged since they were not sturdy and other boxes were stacked on top of them. One of the crew said that they should have wrapped the wardrobe boxes to make them more sturdy but they didnt offer to do that. I was their last customer of the day, ending at 6 pm, and it was raining, so they were rather tired at that point. Also, if theyre going to use a mattress bag for my bed, they should have informed me that theres a charge in advance. Its not a lot of money ($7) but I dont like surprise charges in my receipt.
This was my first time hiring professional movers and I could not be more pleased we moved from Saint Clair shores to Farmington Hills after being quoted for an 8 hr move Tevin, Melvin, Tobbari, and Kaylon got it done in 3.5 hrs!! Not only were they professional they were also respectful and worked incredibly together as a team I will from now on only be hiring them for all of my moves ! Thank you so much.

I used them to move to my new house. I already had everything boxed. They responded fast, were on time, and worked waaay faster than expected, so I had the rest of the day free to run errands. They even managed to remove a door with painted over hardware. Id definitely use them again.

Thought their customer service was top notch throughout the whole process. Jackie in the office was great and kind. I felt they were very overpriced but the customer service made up for it. If you are shopping for price id look elsewhere but if you want a guaranteed high quality team they are it.

Ive used TM&T twice now for local moves, and even had one of the same guys. Both times they were professional, on-time, took great care of my things, and anything they packed was packed incredibly well, better than anything I did myself. This last time, Melvin and his team went above and beyond to take off my door, wrangle a large couch into a tiny house without messing anything up. Couldnt be happier!
I recently hired two men and a truck to help me move into my new place. The movers arrived on time, very friendly, and took pride in ensuring my items were packed properly. The move started at 9:15am and all of my furniture was moved and set up in the new house by 11:00am. I would definitely use and recommend two men and a truck to anyone. I also want to thank the men that moved me again, you guys did an amazing job!
This company canceled my move with a weeks notice in April, leaving me with no way to move to my new apartment. They cited the stay in place order as the reason, but I saw moving trucks on the road working that same month. I luckily found a local business that charged me half the price and got things done for me very smoothly. Ended up saving about $400 on my move despite 2 Men leaving me completely in the lurch.
Very easy transaction and very easy move. I had Jesse, Floyd, and Mike. Jesse went over the estimate and expenses with me very clearly before they started to work, the price was fair. They ended up doing the move in almost half the time, and I ended up under the estimate. They even removed the trash from my old place (thank you!). One of the best moving companies Ive dealt with, if not the best, and Ive moved like 5 times in the past 7 years. Highly recommend.
Great service! Although I initially scoffed at the price, $116 per hour + $140 travel fee. 😢 I must say that my movers Melvin and Demtrious were the perfect gentleman. They were well spoken, helpful and extremely efficient. The guys worked quickly and didnt mind that I needed to change my final location after arriving at the initial destination. Im a stickler for good service and they definitely made the price a bit more palatable. Thats the only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars. If the price were better I would have rated the company a 5 out of 5 stars.

Making my last minute move appointment was a breeze and the gentleman that came out were very professional. We got my move done in under 2hrs. Moving is a little expensive but worth it for a stress free day!
Personally I have never used Two Men and Truck for any moving needs.But we had to move out of our office in Southwest Detroit So I made the call and Im glade I did. From Shayna that came out to give me estimate to the 6 guys and two trucks that did the move. They were able to get us all moved in one day going to two different locations. So we where very please, they took the time to wrap all of our desks with moving pads and starch wrap.I would for sure recommend Two Men and Truck , and plan to use them for our next move in year or so.
Pick another Mover! I hired this company to move me from my old house to my new condo, which is only a 15 minute ride away. I had already moved over my entire kitchen and lots of boxes on my own in an attempt to keep the cost down. Movers moved big furniture and 15 boxes, more or less. Move was estimated at 4-6 hours. They send 3 guys, but 75% of work was done mostly by 2 of them. They did not have the necessary tools and I had to run out and buy an Allen wrench (I bought 3). Did final walk through of house before heading to condo and indicated what remained to move. 2 boxes were left behind which I discovered after I went back to the house. Grill could not be moved because propane tank was attached and they said they are not allowed to remove it or move it if the propane tank is attached so thats another item I had to move over myself. My microwave plate was broken and I was not told about it. Heard a crash and when asked what happened, I was told nothing. After the move, I also found damage (scrapes) to 2 of my walls and a cracked corner on my entertainment center. My expensive wooden dining room table and chairs also have scratches on them! I was charged for an 8 hour move! No way it should have taken that long! I contacted the company and spoke with owner/supervisor. I was promised a credit on my credit card which I have yet to receive!
Two Men and a Truck moved our entire house from Grosse Pointe Park to Midland, MI and they were AWESOME! From Shayna in the office that stared the quote process for me to Jessie and Cam who physically moved my entire home from point A to B everyone was just a pleasure to work with! Super nice they would not let me carry anything and happily took my directions, even when I changed my mind later. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone! I felt the pricing was competitive and if anything I received better than expected service.

Our three movers were on time, cheerful, highly professional, strong, and very fast. No furniture or door frames, etc. were harmed. Thia in-town move was all done much sooner than we expected, so we paid less than expected. A very good experience!
Please do not use this company EVER!. The movers were extremely slow, little to no motivation in providing the best service and absolutely no integrity. They appear to be more focused on extending their work hours to collect their fee of 115 dollars per hour. WOW! With those rates the service should be exceptional. But If rates were based on quality service ..... this company deserves minimum wage! Please save your money, its simply not worth it. TRUST ME.

The service our Church received from 2 Men and a Truck was excellent. The movers were knowledgeable, courteous and professional. The next time we need a moving company I will be sure to notify this on. It was a pleasure.
Dont be fooled by their positive reviews they are all fake or posted by their own employees! This company destroyed my couches, destroyed my walls, and dented my TV. I Filed a claim and they never paid me. Make sure you get insurance on the entire move and your valuable possessions (no, not the insurance they offer its bogus). They are supposed to pad and wrap everything according to their contract but they will not. If they did, nothing of mine would have been damaged. Read the contract in its entirety or youll be left in their dusty trail like I was. Even after violating their own contract they will still not honor it so there may not even be a point to read it. Go with these guys and youll end up in small claims court like me. There were so many other things wrong with this company like the fact that the workers were taking breaks on the job while I was paying about $100/hr, and the fact that the owner avoided my calls for about 3 weeks. I am an actual customer and I am a very fair and reasonable person. I gave this company way too many chances to right their wrongs and make amends with me before leading to my filing in the City of Dearborn small claims court. I just wanted people to simply know that they are the wrong company for your move especially if you care about your things.Update (May 2016): It has been about 9 months since I left the review above. As you can see, there is still not a response from the owner. The reason I am leaving a follow up review is because my lease is nearly up and Im moving into a new home. Searching for a moving company again brought these guys up in my google search and just wanted to update anyone thinking about using this company.
The two young gentlemen moving crew were professional, polite and courteous: they were careful to not bump the furniture they were moving; they were careful to not bump into any of the walls on their way out of the house and in the other house into which they moved the furniture; they were on time, and they were about completing the move in a timely manner (they moved quickly and with a purpose as opposed to a slow pace); and, they were enthusiastic and energetic.
These guys were unreal in the speed of moving. They were friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure i kept my couch, despite the difficulties with the elevator and the narrow hallways. I will be requesting this team specifically for any other move and will be recommending them to all of my family and friends.
Melvin and Demetrius were awesome. Very professional, friendly, and fast. These guys went above and beyond with my move. I will definitely use these guys again. I thought I would have to purchase another storage unit because I had so many items but these guys figured out how to make everything fit safely and definitely saved me money.
THE WORST MOVERS!!!i decided to have two men and a truck to do the moving for me assuming that it was a reputable company who supposedly cares for their clients belongings. after the movers left i started to uncover the nightmare that they left for me to sort. they damaged every single item they moved ( even items they didnt ). At first i was assured that all the damages would be repaired by Dennis the manager and then the phone calls stopped being answered or returned. unfortunately after many months of chronic eyesores which constantly remind me of the horrendous experience i was left with no choice but to leave this review. i hope that no one ever has to go through the same experience as i did. if you care about your belongings choose someone else.if you think that their insurance means anything, think twice. they dont stand by anything. they are liars and dont stand by anything. unethical beyond imagination!!
Mark, DeAngelo and Javante helped me move out of a second story apartment with A LOT of heavy stuff. They did fantastic work and everything made it to the house without a scratch. They were especially careful with the newly finished hardwood floors. I got sweaty just watching these guys work, they earned every penny. Great group of guys too made it all fun.
They billed me for 4 hours for the deposit when I told them several times I only am moving out of a studio and had a few things to move. The total move was only 2 or so hours and they still billed me for 4 hours, plus the moving costs, so I paid $415 (give or take) for moving a bed, couch, and a couple tables/chairs. These people are complete ripoffs.
Highly over priced. They wanted to charge me over $600 dollars to move one sofa from my living room to thr curb in front of my home. Thumbs down.
The move could not have gone better. Melvin and Greg were accomodating when I was late due to traffic and got right to work once I got there. They were professional, efficient, and very pleasant to work with. I actually enjoyed the move! Highly recommend.
Our crew, led by Melvin, was thoughtful, skilled, speedy, and patient. After driving hours to our destination, they maintained a sense of humor as we struggled to get big furniture into our small house. Much thanks to the crew and to Jenna, in the office.
Service was ok until the end of the move. They brought in our last leather couch and they had damaged the side ripping it. They clearly damaged it from where we were moving and never said anything. Hit a couple of walls and said nothing. Called the office and they sent out a claims guy. Still not resolved a week later. ????

They stole my husbands work phone 📱 what do you think they are doing with your personal stuff!My husband is a truck driver, and gets in and out of his truck a lot! Dropped his work phone and as soon as he realized it, he went out to look for it. The only people there was two drivers from two men and a Truck and another semi driver that seen the two men who took it! Called all offices to find the men that fit the description, and after two days they finally got ahold of me and after telling us there was no one who fit the description we gave them, they found out who it was. And because of course their job depended on it, they said they didnt have it! Funny thing is the gas station my husband was at was also connected to a Burger King who the manager I talked to said she remembers the two drivers I described to her perfectly. She said they were holding up the line looking at a phone trying to unlock it! Hhmmm wonder whos phone that may be! No matter what never trust anyone!

Sorry Carmen that happened to you too, if you would have just read my review prior to commuting with this despicable company. Good luck getting anything fixed. Call your credit card company to report the dispute before they waste your time makin empty promises like they did to me and just end up with a bunch of eyesores and bad memories around your house
The move went well. However, it took more time than quoted. Some scratches happened during the move but they were able to send some one to fix it. A professional moving company and the movers were friendly.
They moved me on 4/14 and I used the Detroit location. I’m trying to keep back tears while typing this but one of the movers stole my daughter piggy bank that my mother gave her with over $1,000 in it. I take this very personal since that was a sentimental gift my mother saved while I was pregnant to give to her granddaughters when she was older.I just noticed it missing today. Don’t ever use this company or be prepared for something to come up missing! I will be pressing charges against this company and their workers.

Way to expensive. Doesnt depend on the size of the job. I did receive a response that was totally different than what I was quoted. It was about $400 to move four items. And moved less than 3 miles. I stand by my response.

2022-06-01When I called and left a message, I was immediately called back. The young lady that quoted me was very transparent on fees and time. She was able to get me a sooner appointment that I was extremely grateful for! The movers called right on schedule to advise they were 10 minutes out. 3 gentleman came and was ready to work. Amazing teamwork and chemistry with them. I was truly rethinking the decision to use them because of the price, however, they were worth every penny and me understanding the fuel cost and inflation 😩 Kudos to the guys that came and hauled away everything in less than an hour

2022-03-05These movers did HALF the job! They were supposed to move my 3 92 inch tvs from a storage facility and bring them to my new townhouse and move 2 of the 3 tvs upstairs. The two movers bumped me up in their schedule because the previous job was in a building on the 10th floor with no working elevators to move furniture. In reality, THESE WERE TWO LAZY UNMOTIVATED MOVERS!!! To start, they came unequipped with the right tools to get my tvs out of their crates and wasted valuable time when they got there. 2.) One of the movers, a male, damaged one of my tvs trying to get it out of the wooden crate. He whacked away at it like he could care less because it wasnt their stuff. I was able to put the panel back in place later after they left. They complained the whole time and then called their supervisor to assist, saying that they shouldnt have booked my appointment. 3.) When they arrived, they only brought all three tvs inside to the ground floor and made various excuses on why they couldnt move two of them upstairs. The excuses were Its too cold and snowy, Theyre too heavy, We dont want to damage them, We need a fourth person and we are so short staffed due to Covid. They even expected me to pay them for another hour of service even though they didnt keep their agreement to carry 2 of the 3 tvs upstairs. I complained to management who only charged me for the initial move. He told me that his staff of movers, one female and two males, said they didnt want to damage the walls of my house as an excuse. Altogether, I had to pay another moving company (Alpha Moving Company) $250 to move the tvs upstairs. I should have used them fron the get-go! I WILL NOT USE OR RECOMMEND 2 MEN AND A TRUCK EVER AGAIN!!!

2022-01-31We hired Two Men and a Truck to move a piece of antique furniture. They only had a 1-hour minimum, which was great for this job. Other places had a 2-hour minimum and over-quoted the time it would take. Two Men did a great job, was fair and accurate with their quote, kept us well-informed, and took great care with our item. The team was very courteous and professional. We would use them again.

2022-06-13I reached out to the Detroit location inquiring about the possibility of having a place sorted out that was very challenging. The store manager David Gaber was fantastic. He understood the situation. Made himself available for inspection although being very busy. And followed up with a detailed quote plus alternative suggestions within 48 hours. 2022-06-28Never use this company! They will over charge you, then not move all your stuff. On top of that they are careless and will damage your property then argue with you that your stuff is old and not worth anything, even if it is new. Management is rude. And they will tell you that you only have soany days to file a claim, but then will take weeks to get back to. If they dare reply to this I will slap the emails on here. I tried so hard to be nice, but hit the end of my rope when they started to argue with me and string this out. Repeat again if you want your move to go smoothly DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
