Comment: The service here is horrible! I came to get a refill and I waited for 30 minutes! There were two staff working, one was on his phone walking around and not doing anything. He saw that I was waiting to get refilled (I went inside and notified them that I needed a refill). I was asked to wait outside meanwhile the staff that was working inside was still assisting customers who were behind me. Finally, I was helped and I was told my tank couldn’t be refilled because it was “expired”—mind you I came here before to get refilled multiple times with the same tank.Perhaps they have strict “propane policies” with refills, and I’ll respect that. But don’t waste my time. If the staff follows the “policy” notify the customer by saying “Is your tank expired?” “If so, you would need to exchange the tank.” Then immediately, we as a customer will figure out whether or not the tank is “expired” rather than waiting 30 minutes to be told that information.For those who are reading this, go somewhere else for service. The customer service is horrible its best to drive up to another U-Haul with better reviews on Google and service. Trust me!

Comment: It is in my best judgment that i was scammed dropping off the truck at a third-party-drop off. In Perris, CA.In what logic would a one way trip from long beach- costa mesa- menifee accumulate 354miles?!? I was charged $278 INSTANTLY on top of the $200 that was paid to rent the truck. In the middle of me trying to dispute the charge!! They didnt even let me finish trying to make sense of what happened. Safe to say that this experience is something i would not recommend to anybody.

Comment: Sophanna is a rock star! Booked on-line and kept getting conflicting amounts due. Spoke to two agents from the help line for about 30 minutes. Neither was able to help me or correct the incorrect amount. Thankfully they transferred me to Sophanna, who was great. She worked through the system issues and promised to be there and make sure it was right when I arrived. All was perfect when I picked up and dropped off the van. The billing was correct. She was very nice, professional, and paid attention to the details. Thank you.

Comment: They have a good variety of truck sizes readily available. We rented brand new Ram van with high ceiling and crammed it full of our stuff protected with recycled wool blankets which we bought there for $8 each. The van had a back-up camera and other modern safety features, plus a modern phone pairing screen. Power this and power that, so easy to drive! I used the UHaul app to request a 1-day extension; that was much easier and faster than trying to do it by calling the 800 number.

It is horrible!Please train your employees on better employee and customer relations.They ignored us when we first arrived because they were talking to each for a while. Until my husband interrupted them with a Good morning as they acknowledged and then continued talking to each other.Also, they did not instruct us on how things work nowadays, meaning, getting our own truck (forgot to give us key), we had questions, they said it was all online or email etc...Please please better your CustomerService!You have a perfect business and location but the people working for you are bringing you down.I still give chances. They are very customer focused.

Comment: Bad customer service took my truck for a hitch installation right when I got there the guy wanted to charge extra than what I originally had the price set for. Very rude and what was supposed to take 2 and a half hours took about 6 hours and once I left it made a noise. Turns out the guy didn’t put 2 screws where the exhaust goes didn’t have the screws so I still had to take it the next day to another U-Haul and for a cable box that was missing. Never again am I going to that U-Haul.

Ive learned to call ahead and ask about refilling. They tell me yes they can refill my tank (I have an 11lb for camping) then when I go there they give me a bs reason they cant refill. Total waste of time and management needs to step up and get rid of their lazy employees. This location is a joke.

Comment: Worst service ever, dont ever use self serve rental at this location, I reserved the truck in advance to pick up at 7 am, they told me that the store doesnt open until 9 am but I can use the self serve option, I arrived around 7:15 am and start doing the process tru my mobile phone, I did all the process and the app gave me a code to put it in a lock and open a lock box and get the truck key from inside, everything was going perfect until I open the lock box and the key wasnt inside, I immediately called Uhaul costumer service and explained the situation the lady gave me another reservation with different truck and I did all the process again on my phone and the app gave me another code for a different lock box and I open the lock box and again it wasnt any truck key inside.I had an appointment to pick something at 8:30 and I missed my appointment, at the end I spent almost 1 hour and half at this location and didnt got any truck.Special remarks: an employee arrived at the location around 8:20 am and my friend ask him if he could helps us but he was really mean and told him that he cant do anything about it because the store wasnt open yet, I do understand that the store wasnt open yet but at least he could be more polite and not have a very bad attitude.

What started out as a $61 transaction (already expensive. $20 rental my a$$) turned into a $150 transaction over the course of 6 days.I dont know what U-Haul is trying to pull here but i want my money back. You walk in and get told its a $20 truck with a $14 insurance coverage, then you get charged $61 because they need you to pay the miles ahead of time, then you wake up days later to two fees of $40.71Do yourself a favor and dont use U-Haul ever

Comment: I rented a u-box for shipping my furniture to my new home. We loaded the container, and made sure everything was secured properly. After going to the receiving location to unload the box; discovered that my antique desk had been demolished in the move (see the picture). U-haul insurance will not cover the cost of the desk, and the u-haul adjuster I spoke to has been unhelpful and constantly talks over me. I rented the box from this location.You lost a customer for life.

He saw I had a peice of art in the back and automatically said, youll need an art box. He didnt even measure my painting and got me the right size! I bought a few items and he actually walked me to my car holding all of my belongings (without me asking). You want real service...this is the place to go.

Comment: Its a pretty busy Uhaul place.I only go hear for Propane and about half the time it involves waiting 5 or 10 minutes until someone is available to refill the propane. Its still the best\cheapest place Ive found in the area.They also swap tanks if yours is expired or damaged.They accept credit cards outside at the propane area, if you pay in cash you have to go inside.
