They werent able to give us the truck we reserved a month ago, which was fine until they gave us a different older truck then 10 minutes after we leave, called and asked us to come back because they didnt transfer the information correctly. They then attempted to double charge me and threatened to call the police when we demanded a refund. The manager escalated and made the situation 10 times worse and ultimately refused to serve us after they messed up every step of the process. Theyre excuse being that they didnt know how to operate their own new system. Completely unacceptable, and if you want to actually be able to move on the day you plan without issue I would NOT recommend working with them. Not sure of the managers name but hes the short young white man with a ponytail. Completely unprofessional and an embarrassment to himself and the uhaul company altogether.

So I change the time to 4:30 pm. I need the pick up truck for one trip... took me less than 3 hours and return the truck. On Thursday I had a call that I NEVER RETURN the truck in less than 2 min he found the keys. Then today Friday I got another call that they havent got the truck AGAIN and they try to charge me a penalty for their bad organization and inventory. So they gonna hear about me tomorrow SATURDAY.

Comment: I HAVE BEEN BAMBOOZLED BY UHAUL ON FLORIN RD. They needed a new battery for their truck, and had me pay for it. I rented a truck, from this location, for a day yesterday afternoon and used it for 4 hours. This morning while rushing to drop the truck off before work, the car broke down at a gas station 3 minutes from the store location. I called corporate and they had to get the car towed and battery replaced. The store charged me for both the tow and the new battery for THEIR truck. I spoke to the guy that towed the truck and he told me they get calls like mine all the time because of the usage of the trucks at this location. I thought they would at least compensate me for making me 2 hours late to work, but the guy at the counter could care less. He was unprofessional and condescending. I paid nearly $500 for 4 hours of usage. The guy at the counter couldn’t explain to me how the battery dying was fault, since I didn’t use the ac, radio or turn on any lights. Even if it was because of my usage, the truck shouldn’t have started when I was leaving my house. I am taking every measure I can to fight this charge. Use their trucks at your discretion; I’m never renting a truck from them again!

Comment: August 17th I purchased and paid for a hitch and installation and was scheduled for the install August 25th. August 24th we received a voice message that the installer had Covid and we were rescheduled to September 1st 1 pm. Well at 10:30 this morning[sept 1st] we revived a text saying we can get you in tomorrow which is September 2nd. After calling because I’m annoyed now the person on the phone could only say “the big bosses are here I’m not sure what’s going on with cleaning up the schedule” but they could definitely do it tomorrow. What kind of customer service is that? My days were planned around these “appointments” my time is just as valuable. Complete disrespect. Don’t you have more than one person who installs these things if not you should think about it.Update: I arrived at 9 this morning 9/2 for the install only to be told the time was 11:20 needless to say I wasn’t happy however a gentleman said I’ll take care you this is my store l. So the hitch is being installed and I have modified my rating to a 3. It appears to be very busy and not enough staff this guy is all over the place trying to take care of customers. Look at hiring more staff is my suggestion someone who can keep this place running like a clock.

Comment: Brake Controller Installation: I was in a serious time crunch where it was Friday and I had to pick up a travel trailer on Monday but my auto dealer had not installed everything I needed. I had a harness but no brake controller. I needed one ASAP but everyones schedules were packed out for weeks. When the Florin Uhaul manager Victor heard my plight he made room in the schedule to help me that weekend. I dont know what I would have done otherwise! Thank you to Victor and the Florin Rd crew!!Note: This location is always very busy. The staff hussles hard to help folks but they can only work so fast. You should expect to be in line for a while when you come in. Youll also get great customer service once its your turn.

Comment: I used the online checkout because of the long line. It took about 15 minutes to scan by drivers license and take a self and download it with the other information required. I was given a number and told to find the van with that number. I couldn’t find the van in the lot. I then waited online to talk with an agent. He said the van was in the back lot. I couldn’t find it in the back lot either. I waited in line again and was told it was behind a locked fence. He got the van and checked me out. Altogether it took one hour to pickup the van and a half hour to drop it off because they do not have enough staff.

Was on hold for about 15 mins before my partner was able to get through in her phone. They said no problem- come in. Then we get there and the installer says we don’t have an appointment and he can’t do it that day. I had the appointment confirmation on my phone but he wouldn’t even look at it. Said that someone at Uhaul had transferred our appt from another store to his store (which we did not) and then that we must have called corporate instead of his location (which we also did not). This is the last time I’m using Uhaul for anything. My friends always complain about them not honoring reservations and now I see why. O

I went there Monday to reserve a Uhaul van for Saturday. The employee who helped me looks like he wasnt taking his job seriously and was texting his phone the whole time he helped make my reservation. He made a mistake and put my reservation for Friday and he didnt add any reservation pickup location. So I wasnt able to get the Uhaul truck I reserve for on Saturday. I called them about the mistake and they refused to help do anything to resolve the problem they created and they keep telling to call their 1800 uhaul numbe. i call another uhaul place on 47th ave and stockton blvd and a nice gentlement was able to get me a last minute reservation for a smaller uhaul van. Please beware of their lack of customer service and Incompetent and double check your reservation carefully. I would not reserve uhaul from this place again!!!

Comment: I should’ve read the reviews before renting from here. If it weren’t for the wonderful employees at this place then this would’ve been a one star rating.This place is way understaffed. I completed everything thru the mobile app and all I needed to do was pick up the keys. It took 10-15 min wait and there were about 4-6 people in line.I was fine with the wait time but what really made this experience horrible was that the uhaul ran out of gas and died on me as soon as I was about to exit onto the Main Street. What was supposed to be a 15-30 min check in turned out to be 1 hr.

Comment: My friend rented a truck from them, I was the driver. After waiting forever to get the keys, one employee put a small gas can of gas in the tank. We left the yard and had barely 1/4 tank of gas, so we went to AM/PM down the street. As we were puting gas in the tank, we noticed the gas was pouring out of the bottom of the truck, $13.00 wasted. Called them and were told to call roadside assistance, who told us someone would be there in 2 1/2 hours. We took our chances and drove back to the yard, luckily they had 1 truck left, it was reserved, but they let us have it anyway. The second truck had a gas gauge that was stuck on 1/4 tank. We drove to Lodi and on our way back we put gas in the tank again, the gas guage never moved. We rushed back to Sac and emptied the truck to get it back by 7pm. We got stuck at the light next to the yard and arrived at 7:01 and they would NOT tend to us. So, we locked the truck and left it there and took the keys with us. My friend went the next morning as soon as they opened and the wanted to try to charge her for a second day and didnt want to reimburse her for the $13.00 in gas that poured on the ground in the 1st truck, even though we were told that they would. She had to fight with corporate and the store to avoid the 2nd day charge, the late fee for not getting the truck back by 7pm, and to get the $13.00 credited. This place has a major lack of communication and could use some customer service training. One of the employees told us that they have a problem with people stealing their gas and damaging their trucks and that corporate refuses to allow them to get cameras. This is not our problem and should not be treated as the customer is at fault, nor should the customer be inconvenienced due to the issue. Anyone renting from this place should be prepared for a huge hassle and long wait.

Although, prior to turning it over I asked if I would be charged an additional day because I would have liked to keep it if that was the case. Comment: I would highly recommend not to use this storage facility. Ive been meaning to give this review for the longest. Long story short, had my whole house in their storage because I was waiting to move in my new home, when I was ready to take my things out, ROACHES were scattering out of my boxes everywhere! I was beyond angry! I lost EVERYTHING! My $3,000 sectional couch? Gone! My family photos, washer, dryer etc infested and ruin. And these sorry sobs didnt care nor did they want to compensate me for my loss and had the nerve to continue billing me because I wouldnt take my now roach infested belongings to my new home. If I could give zero stars I would in a heartbeat. If you dont want roaches count this place out! heed my warning..

Comment: The customer service needs some work. If I could give a lower rating than one star, I would. The ladies that work there need to attend a customer service class. My experience there this morning was awful and very dismissive especially from Ayrka Girard. No one should have to feel like they did something wrong when a questioned is asked and you are following directions. Then to be told thatReturned vehicle and going else where to rent a truck. I am glad we have options and don’t have to settle for the unprofessional behavior and lack of attention to detail! A kind word and a smile goes a long way especially in situations when communication is not clear!

Comment: Service is okay. The staff is nice. Ive got double charged for my truck. I asked for pads that I didnt get and the gas tank was lower than 3/4 of a tank than what they had me sign off on. When ever you call the location, I have called 5 times... it always rolls over to call center. Dont book here because they are shady! Run...

Comment: I give the place ZERO Stars. They permitted my storage unit to be accessed, rifled through, and then someone else lock put on it. I did not receive a call about my unit until 8/13/17. In their notes, someone made mention of wrong lock, wrong lock for months in my records, but no one contacted me until this last weekend. Like normal, the company, and location, are not accepting responsibility for what happened. I have been paying for years and little issues, but now.... So, items are missing, and someone put their trash in my locker, locked it with their own lock. The lock I had on it is gone, and a new lock where there. The place put another lock on it, the correct one. My locker had 2 locks, but I did not not have a key to anyone of them. It has been that way for months, and no one contacted me until just recently! This is GARBAGE! Im getting screwed, and nothing will happen to them. I doubt theyll pay via insurance claim. Thanks for NOTHING!@!!!!

Comment: I rented a u-haul that had a hole in the roof. When I returned the u-haul the person who checked the u-haul asked me if I purchased insurance and I advised I did and thought that was a strange thing to ask. She had a conversation with the lady at the front desk and they were talking about the hole in the roof. She advised that the person who rented it before me had damaged the truck and that the gentleman that checked the truck out after the truck was returned had not notated it. Four weeks later in todays mail I receive something from U-hauls insurance company blaming me for an accident I was not involved in. Now Im calling the store and corporate trying to get this resolved and getting the run around, I was told to contact theinsurance company, but why would I contact them if its your mistake. They are fraudulently trying to collect money from me for an accident another customer had. My advise is to document EVERYTHING you cant trust nobody.

Comment: 0 stars! I called to reserve a truck for noon. They tried to get me to rent a bigger truck or cargo van that I didnt need. The soonest available time was 315 pm, so I agreed . She confirmed the location and made sure I knew where it was located. One mile away. Then at 2pm another location called to confirm my reservation, 10 miles away. Not ok if youre paying for mileage. Customer service was rude, I still dont have a truck.

Comment: This place is great and customer service comes first. Lots of trucks and trailers no real wait. The only weird thing about this place was you can not make a u-turn at light so had to go into abandoned parking lot to right. Great clean building and bathrooms for customers.

The guy made a mess on my Rav4, cutting parts under the car and more holes un-necessary and taking longer than was schedule to be done. Terrible job done. I have to fix my self all the mess.

Comment: Worst place ever. Do not rent there. Its a waste of time and money. I have had a storage unit there for a few months and every time I have to deal with anyone there its pointless. Nothing gets resolved like the fact they billed me for use of a dumpster that was never used and then continued to bill me every month after for the same dumpster. The facility is ghetto and dirty. The security gate is broken. Now that my things are out of the place (thank God) I cant even get in touch with anyone at the facility to let them know I am out. I went in to notify them of my vacancy and I waited for 45 minutes to be helped, so of course I left. Im so happy I wont have to deal with them anymore!!!

Comment: I made and paid for a hitch installation appointment two weeks ago. I arrived 10 minutes early and stood in an empty store waiting for any employee to come in to help me. Finally someone came in, and told me the hitch installer is on his lunch break and Ill have to come back in 45 minutes. They offered nothing in the way of a rebate to compensate me. Do not waste your time here. Update: As I stand here waiting for the installer to come back, Im listening to the employees trying to figure out how to make a truck reservation estimate. Their suggestion to the customer is to go buy a car.
