Comment: I have worked with a bunch of U-Haul branches in our area. I own a pack-out company and used this storage for a clients home contents. This branch is by far the worst branch I have ever worked with. We went to pick up the contents from our unit, it had been set up by one of the partners I worked with who is no longer working with us. I had the keys for unit and building, the unit was in my name and being charged to my card. I had been in it one time but didnt remember the number. I figured id go to the front and confirm before just guessing to make it easy and not create issue. Offered the kid at the front Jaxson Jolls at the front my ID to search it. He was clearly didnt understand the system and was unhelpful from the gate. He couldnt find it told me there wasnt anything he could do after giving me the run around. I let him know thats fine Id just go look, at which point he yelled he is calling the cops if we set off any alarms. We got into our unit no problem, no alarms set off. While loading up our contents he came out with another guy and told us we had to leave because he couldnt ID me (keep in mind he already checked my ID). I let him know I was on a job and we couldnt leave without my clients content at which point he threatened with the police. I told him to please do as we needed the stuff and they would have to help handle the situation. At which point he then turned to go back to the office and said your lucky I dont handle this myself. The police showed up as we were finishing up. We let them know the story, they even said the kid was just weird and was rude to them as well. The next day I called to talk to the general manager Richard. He was less than apologetic and entirely unhelpful. The fact he lets his people trespass, threaten and terrorize clients is beyond me. Either way it was made clear that he doesnt care about clients or his business. There are plenty of other really great U-Hauls in the area, I highly recommend the one off of Atlantic Street (3min away) or any other one for that matter.

Comment: They need to be kind to the customers, and have more than just one worker at a time because that person is needing to go back and forth outside and inside to help customers. The worker I had was obviously stressed and didnt want to take the time to unlock the lock for me. So he rudely opened it and violently opened the back so it startled me, and I asked him to show me how he opened the jammed lock so I would be able to do it later for myself, but he never said a word to me rode away quickly on his little machine. PLEASE...DONT except the 10-foot truck #TM1891T because the driver side window doesnt seal properly so it makes for an extremely noisy ride, plus the passenger side door continually needs to be slammed to close right. Im trying to get a discount but theyre saying that truck does not have those problems. But it does! So simply ask for another truck. Just trying to help the next guy.

Comment: Excellent customer service, family business. My wife and I went there to rent a small trailer. For some reason my trucks electrical was not working. The employees (Yes more than one) tried different ways, different testing equipment, and different trailers in an attempt to correct the issue that ended up being 100% with my truck. They even went as far as having me drive to their work shop area, went under the hood and provided their own fuses in an attempt to fix the problem. Ultimately the issue could not be fixed and they gave me a full refund. They could have easily said sorry, its not working but instead spent 30 minutes just to lose money. They also refunded the equipment I purchased for the rental. I will definitely rent from this location again. Very trustworthy.

Comment: I would rate this 5 stars: convenience, security features (modern card access, cameras everywhere, alarm systems), card access toilets, cold drinking fountains inside the building.Minus 3 stars for a water leak that got the carpet inside my unit wet and ruined some shoes and boxes. I was never contacted by email about the water leak or notified that water could have entered my unit.Plus 2 stars for the help I received in getting new boxes etc.Planning to pursue reimbursement through insurance that I previously purchased for my unit.They have signs warning not to store expensive items; if you do I recommend getting appropriate insurance.Also the building looks like it wouldnt do so well in a major earthquake so I am crossing my fingers.

Comment: Very fast and smooth process. Took about 5-10 minutes to get the truck, the employees were very nice and didnt charge us for the hand truck dolly. Drop off took about 5-10 minutes for them to inspect the truck and we were on our way. Would definitely go back to the location in the future.

After 3 reschedules the same day, I was waiting for a call and it never came and the reservation was canceled. I was upset and the customer service line said theres a truck ready down the street. I went and picked it up and was greeted with great customer service throughout the entire process. From greeting me when I stepped out the car, to directiong me to the front door, to waiting on me as I was on an important phone call. Gave me options, walked the truck and adjusted the gas tank without any push back. They changed my whole experience for the better even though I was unloading my uhaul until 1am because of the initial inconvenience. Great job.

But, when the alarm went off (each area has a motion detector) to indicate a break in, no one on staff did anything. There was no investigation provided and they dont care.I highly suggest storing your items in a more secure location with a company who has an interest in securing your storage area.

Comment: The last time I rented from this location (late august 2022) I had long wait times for service and unexpectedly had to provide not two but three independent contact numbers in order to rent a trailer. Also it seems rental periods are no longer biased per day but on how many hours you initially reserve for. In further discussion these changes were explained to be from U-haul corporate policies which if so worryingly seem to indicate they are more interested in maximizing immediate profit rather than maintaining long term relationships with their customers.After a few weeks though the problems and overcharges I had with this location were resolved in a satisfactory manner. I’ll probably rent from here again but will know to check the fine print on the contracts now from here or other U-haul locations.

Reviewing here because I couldnt review on their website since *they* cancelled the reservation and it doesnt show in their system anymore. Left a second star on and didnt rate it as one star since it may have been a reality that they were having issues getting stock back in to rent out, but its not good that a reservation cant be kept with more than a week of notice. Your honest employees kept a star in your favor.

Then tried to say we had to get the truck and hauler from different stores, then when contacting the individual stores they said they dont have the size truck we needed or the car hauler. 2 days prior to the move date! The person at the store said they would not have called to tell us all of this information. We would have showed up, on moving day and had no truck or car hauler! UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! HAD TO RENT A PENSKE TRUCK AND CAR HAULER. Got Penske truck rented with car hauler with great ease and customer service. U-Haul WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Imagine if you were moving the next day and had No Truck and No Car Hauler. Lost a customer and I will be sharing my experience with others. Sad, very Sad!

Comment: This was the worst experience in a retail setting I‘ve ever had. I had a very bad experience with my trailer rental and I was desperately trying to get help resolve. The manager at this location is so rude, and offered no help, if you have an issue with a rental it’s “to bad” I won’t help you, call a hotline in which no one answers. How does someone like this run a facility? What has happened to U-Haul? Every facility I visit is so poorly run.

Comment: Currently employed for dsv and were doing demo for U-Haul actually as they rehab the facility... U haul made some nice improvements come check it out

Comment: I received a truck that had a faulty latch and it took 45 min to get it unstuck on top of that the staff 333 sunrise called me sever times about returning the truck when it clearly states I have a 23hr rental that is due back by 8:15 PST yet I felt harrassed bybthis staff .I will think twice about using this u haul location in the future
