Comment: The level of professionalism demonstrated by the staff at this establishment is concerning. Upon entering, I observed three employees behind the counter, two of whom appeared to be preoccupied with their cell phones. When I approached the staff member who was not engrossed in a phone, and informed him of my intention to pick up a reserved rental, I was instructed to complete the check-in process via the U-Haul app. It was perplexing to witness three employees stationed at the desk seemingly idle, while customers were expected to manage transactions independently through the app.Another customer, visibly frustrated with the inefficiency of the process, attempted to utilize the app for check-in, which further highlighted the inadequacies of the system. It took over ten minutes to download the application, log in, and navigate through the requisite prompts, delaying the rental process further.Throughout this ordeal, the conduct of the employees was far from professional. Their conversation, rife with profanity and centered around a purported rap feud between Drizzy and Kendrick Lamar, was both inappropriate and distracting.Upon finally receiving the keys to the rented vehicle, it was discovered that the additional items, namely blankets and dollies, which had been reserved in advance, were conspicuously absent. Upon raising this concern to staff, the response received was dismissive, suggesting I search the front for any available supplies. This lack of assistance and disregard for customer satisfaction was disheartening, particularly considering the commitment made through the reservation process.Furthermore, the attitude displayed by other employees in the establishment, characterized by snickering and unprofessional behavior, only served to compound the overall dissatisfaction with the experience. It is evident that the standards of professionalism at this establishment are severely lacking.I strongly advise potential customers to consider alternative rental providers, where a higher level of professionalism and customer service is upheld.

Comment: They allow there customers to become stuck at this location. Return trucks park blocking the entrance/exit. When you call for help they tell you there is none. They are not allowed to contact management to assist you. If you get trapped in the lot you will be forced to Lyft or Uber out leaving your car behind until the next day, or sleeping in your car until morning when the staff comes in.

Comment: The app didnt work so I had to have someone at the store help with completing my reservation. In the afternoon while bringing the truck back the app again did not work. The were at least 15 trucks trying to check in / return at the same time. No one was there to help or direct traffic on the property. It was a complete mess… U-Haul associates were pissed off and not happy with the situation. This didn’t help the situation. Go back to having humans check you in and out. It’s a better customer service experience.

The hours are convenient and I really like that the load/unload area of the storage unit is under the building, so youre protected from the sun and the rain.

Comment: When I walked in, there wasnt a soul in sight.I started gathering what I wanted to buy near the register and as I did so, I could hear loud talking and laughing from the back.After about 8 minutes a dishelved dude reeking of weed walked out and seemed genuinely surprised and at the same time totally uncaring that a customer was there.When he tried to check me out, he was struggling the whole time, which got worse when he found out they werent managing their inventory correctly - I was trying to buy boxes from the store floor which hadnt been added to the inventory and the system wouldnt let him sell them.This kicked off a 10 minute odyssey of him alternating between staring silently at the computer and calling his boss to try to get him to add the boxes.Unprofessional and chaotic environment.

Comment: I used this location for self storage and truck rental. They are great for both. Good trucks and good air conditioned internal storage units. The security is great. Only issues might be the size of the elevator is small if you get an upstairs unit. Also the after hours access door is smaller, however this may be a security feature.

Comment: The staff was very nice and quick with getting us set up. But make sure when you return the truck after hours to have a copy of your receipt for filling up the tank and picture of the gas gauge.The morning after I returned my rental I saw an extreme amount of charges for gas...I filled the tank before returning the truck. I called customer service and explained this to a woman who was very dismissive claiming they have a picture of the tank being completely on empty and said there was nothing they could do if I didnt have a receipt, cause I obviously didnt fill the tank.So I had to get up, call my bank to find out the time and amount for the charge, go to the gas station I was at the night before, have them find and print it, go back to U-Haul location...the employees there fixed it with no issues and tell me they have problems with people sneaking in at night and siphoning gas out of the trucks and they dont know until someone like me comes through having had to do all this run around. It seems like corporate is failing this location. They need to do something to increase security at this location or fix their attitudes and hurdles for their customers being affected by known issues they cant help the location fix.

Comment: Although the sales associate, Ryan M, was very helpful when I picked up the truck, I was gauged by the overrageous fuel charge simply because there is no gas station nearby that can safely accommodate the size of the trust I rented. I only used 1/8 of fuel and was charged $52. When I spoke with the general manager, Andrew, he said there is nothing he can doBe aware of the potential challenge and excess charge when you rent at this location

They said we could & that it was fine. Later on we were met by a lady named Yvonee and she came to me and told me I am not allowed to use the charging ports & the next time she sees me doing it she will CANCEL MY WHOLE STORAGE. That was so so strange because we got told we could, so we went to the office and asked who she was, and why is she threatening to close down our storage over something we got told we could do. They said she was wrong and they would have the store manager call.Well we got a call from a Ernie claimingTo be the store manager which we found out he isnt a store manager. Someone named Andrew is but we get this call and this guy Ernie is unprofessional and going off on us and making more threats that he will lock up our storage from us and sale our stuff. We have all interactions recorded and we sent it in to corporate of Uhaul. Because staff like this should not be representing such a big brand acting unsuitable & forgetting theyre at work and not at home. So if I were you I would avoid using this place your storage isnt safe with staff like this. I got all my stuff out quick and left good riddance.

Comment: Could not have asked for a better experience moving with U-haul yesterday. One staff member was incredibly friendly though i was hours late for pickup and overwhelmed. Comment: Heres the deal. Staff was awesome. Mobile pick-up was not great. Full disclosure: Iv always used Uhaul and will continue to but was it a treat this morning. My truck got double booked which was fine, that probably happens but I had to jump to 3 different trucks in a 45 minute time span. All things considered, not a huge deal but I chose mobile pick-up to get there and get on my way but it took 45 minutes. Again, staff was dope so no problem with them but wish I didnt have to hop truck to truck. My advice to folks booking mobile...probably still quicker than the line? Maybe show up earlier in the day, but maybe a different location for mobile.

Comment: When i went to return my equipment there was one woman working and she said she couldnt check me out because she was the only one working, but told me that she would do it in the next 30 minutes and Id receive an emailed receiptafter I didnt receive my receipt and confirmation that the equipment was returned after 2.5 hours I went back to the location to confirm, there was someone different working the desk when I got there. When I walked in she looked up from her for and let out a huge sigh when she saw me. I told her I needed to be checked out and she looked me up on the computer to complete checkout. Two separate times in the 5 minutes she was completing my paperwork, she stopped to answer text messages on her cell phone. Ive never seen someone less happy to be working than she was to be at your location. I did notice her name tag was turned backwards so I couldnt see her name. Maybe a coincidence, but seemed intentional.

Comment: I ordered my pickup truck online for Sunday with an estimate of $45. I knew that with my legend might be a little more a little more so once I arrived at the location Sunday thats a location Sunday morning the the place was clean the staff were straightening up packaging. Most of staff was was nice and helpful one had a little attitude. After checking out and going to get the truck it was stuck between 2 other trucks so my brother went back in to ask the young lady to move the truck in front. We were standing outside for a good 15 minutes or so he had to go back in cause she had forgotten. Another staff guy came out and move the truck. I checked the truck out it did have a few dents. Also 1 tire had low tire pressure the filled it but it didnt have a cap I said well take 1 off another truck tire. On the return They were a little busy so we just left the truck and they said I will get a receipt later I did forget something in the truck I called it was closed by then. Called this morning And they found it and I said I will come and get it later in the day. I finally looked at my final receipt so From my 1st online estimated $45 to $91 my final receipt was $116. I felt that the gas was still full but I was missing 2 gallons so that was $10.50 and then he estimated my travel of 50 miles because it was 20 miles back-and-forth but it ended up being 66 miles also that went from estimate of $31 to $52. All for 4 and half hours of use.

Comment: The customer service at this location is the worst I’ve ever experienced. Everyone that works here seems checked out or completely lazy. I asked several times for the clerks to apply my gift card to my recent order. I was told that I would need to do that upon returning the vehicle. In order to get it back in time before this location closed (I originally planned to return after hours), I had to rush my move. Yet, once I arrived, there was no employee to help me check in the van. The receptionist told me that he couldn’t leave the front desk and that I would need to leave my gift card number and information with him to complete the transaction later. After waiting two days, this location finally completed the order without applying my gift card credit, forcing me to work with UHaul’s online customer service. This location has consistently messed up several of my orders. I will be taking my business to other rental companies in the future.

Comment: The truth is that I didnt like how they treated me, you had to wait because they couldnt find the keys of the car that I wanted to rent until more than 30 minutes passed when they told us wed give them the copies of the keys and when I entered the car I gave off a smell to pipi that I had to keep the windows open and another very important thing, they should keep their bans well checked because the one with the brakes no longer had, it took a long time to stop and I had to drive very slowly, so they should take care of that

Comment: We made a reservation at the Robertson LA location. However, when we went there, no one was there. It took a lot of time to find out that there was no one there and that our reservation was moved to a different location without informing us. It took us over an hour to get to that location. Why did they not call us that there were no trucks at that location? We could have gone to the new location without problems. Instead, we wasted around 2 hours trying to get our truck. I will never use U-haul again. I will look for other companies and may use a moving company instead. This is a bad company and I hope it goes bankrupt.

Comment: There was one person checking everyone into their storage units and for van rental. They did a very good job managing this, but they were overwhelmed with a line out of the door - I arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled 9:30am pickup time and there was 15 people in front of me and within 10 mins another 15+ people behind me. It took me an hour to get my rental van and when I got in it it was filthy - dust and dirt all over it, trash in there and the fuel was marked as Full on my contract, but the actual tank was closer to 3/4 full, so when I filled it up to take it back I over filled it as I didnt want to get charged for a full tank - I noted this when I checked the van over, but still over paid for fuel on returning it. The check engine light then kept coming on saying the engine oil was low and to top up, so I was concerned it would breakdown during my rental period, which is poor.

Comment: They have a nice scam going. They mark down your current gas tank as having more gas than you have, so even though you put in much more gas that you use, they still bill you for gas. Take photos of your gas gauge before you leave and once you return your vehicle or you will get gouged. I called to complain and was told they would refund the $70 for gas I was erroneously billed, but that never happened.

Comment: Exceptional service from Galen and his team at UHaul Baldwin Hills. I did a cross country move using Uhauls UBox service. I wasnt sure what my situation would be once I got to Los Angeles, so I opted to have the UBoxs delivered to this location. It was easy to schedule a time to get access to my containers (make sure to make a reservation using the 1800 number before you get there). They have a forklift crew that will bring the containers out for you. I did a couple trips with my car to get some small essentials. When I was ready to move everything, I hired a local moving company, schedule a time to access the containers and they made it super easy for my movers to pull up and unload the containers. All in all, using Uhaul was the simplest, stress-free process for a complicated move, and glad I choose this location.

Eventually, there was 10 found, my stuff didnt fit, and had to waste half a day driving to LA and back to PS - an additional 250mi, 6 hours, and at least an extra $60 in gas. I ordered the truck 3 weeks in advance, how is that possible Im getting less than 24 hours notice you have negative inventory?! We came in after having a disappointing interaction with staff at U-haul of Crenshaw, and needed an immediate trailer rental. Amber worked quickly to provide service to customers- there was a very long line, and she multitasked using two computers to make sure she was getting folks their rentals as fast as possible. After assisting all other customer in front of me (at an extremely slow and careless rate), he proceeded to treat me differently to all the rest. Where others were welcomed up to the counter, showed details on the computer screen and helped with a much friendly attitude, I WAS NOT TREATED THE SAME.Right away I was told to stand back, do not come past or near the shield, don’t touch anything, although customers before me were standing next to him, looking at his computer screen AND STANDING BEHIND THE SHIELD. Was then charged for excess miles/equipment that wasn’t even available in store/warranty. When I asked for those items to be removed, he claimed they couldn’t be adjusted and I’d have to take it up with customer service. Didn’t want to argue, accepted and PIAD the charges that HE claimed were non-adjustable.Julio personally handed receipts/final documents to all customers he assisted before me, when it came time to hand me my papers, he slid them under the barrier shield and told me to wait until his hand had been removed before I was able to take them.Discrimination and prejudice behavior are not appropriate traits for ANY employee to exude during a shift for ANY company. Comment: I had reserved e 15’ truck 2 days in advance. When I got there the person behind the counter could not find my reservation. I gave him the confirmation number and he couldn’t find that. So being frustrated he started entering information into the computer as a walk in. Then after going through all the information again he then had trouble finding the key to the truck that the computer printed up to him. After trying to search for this key I told him just pick one. I was already there for 25 minutes. So he went to his boss and she came out to see what the problem was. The manager found that the computer was logged into the wrong system. When that was corrected my reservation came up and I was finally able to get the truck, but now I had to go to the back of the building where the truck was park in and parking structure for which I had to back it out with no assistance hoping not to hit any support pillars. I was able to do that then I’m trying to get out down the driveway I wad blocked in for 3 more minutes till it was moved, then I was on my way to do my work with a delay of total 35 minute at 8:35am. Upon returning the truck I return it to the same location down the driveway to a spot that say stop here and someone will check it in. This was at 10:43am. So they said just drop the keys on the counter and go. I just got my receipt and it said they checked it in at 2:30pm. I saw no difference in charge so that was ok then but they did charge me for a dolly that I did not rent. So now have to find how to dispute that. So that was my experience at this location today

Comment: We rented a U-Haul van on Saturday at the Uhaul off Obama to be returned on Sunday.I had my sister to go up there early because our Appointment was at 6:45pm. When I arrived my sister and the other customers had a minor altercation with the employees, because no one was acknowledging them they have been there for over 20 minutes. they told them they were closing and why they come late but the appointment was 645 . The employees customer service was not very good except for one helpful young man. Because of the actions of one of these employees she Decides to hit the button and call the police, because she felt threatened because she was disrespectful. When the police came they explain what transpired and at the end of the day it’s all about respect especially if you’re working in a customer service type of business U-Haul you need to train new employees a little bit better than you are this is a very terrible experience I can’t believe we experienced this here. Also she didn’t want to even rent us the van she said was close.

Comment: WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION. This is an extremely poorly run operation. It took 40 minutes to get my cargo van - which I had reserved via the app - at midday on a normal Thursday. This morning I got my receipt and was charged $45 for 3 gallons of gas (even though I had refilled the vehicle). Then they charged me an additional $20 for an “after-hours return.” It was not after hours. It was 4pm. Tried calling to refute the charges. Was put on hold for 40 minutes before I hung up. Completely ripped off. Fair warning. Avoid this location. Avoid avoid avoid.

Comment: I left the store with the gas tank just below 1/8 full. I returned it with more gas than when I left, above the 1/8 full line. I was still charged $4 to put 0.10 gallons of gas in the truck. That would equate to $40 for 1 gallon of gas, which seems absurd, but also there was no need for them to put gas in the truck since I returned it with more gas than I left with. None of it makes sense, and if they tack on bogus charges like this to everyone then I would never recommend renting from this place again.

Comment: The lady at the Register was wonderful, very kind and helpful and even though there was a long line, she looked after customers at two cashiers. She was very helpful. The only thing I would complain about it the Uhaul dealer I first called which sent me to a location 6085 Venice and there was no one there. I had to call several numbers before I was redirected to this branch. Next time I wouldnt call a dealer through Google maps, I would go straight to the official branch. Also the $19.99 a day is not true once you add up all the additional costs. I walked out with a $89.00 with coverage and milage for renting a 10foot for a few hours. Anyway great marketing, it worked.

Nearly lost the keys which made me feel nervous, seeing as my day of moving was on a tight schedule.Truck only had 1/4 tank in it at pick up what the heck? And then when I returned it that evening the lady said with an attitude, “uhhhh it’s like almost on E.” So I said, yeah, that’s how you guys have it to me!To improve service, only hire staff who are strong morning people and/or don’t get high before work. And fill trucks up with enough gas between rentals that customer doesn’t have to fill it during the move!Truck itself ran fine and served its purpose.

Comment: I made my reservation well in advance and on the day I went to pick up I open the back and there are no dollies. I ordered 1 utility dolly, 1 furniture dolly and 1 appliance dolly. They were out of all and I had to go rent from Home Depot instead because none of the local Uhauls had dollies. I feel if I already had these on hold they should not have been rented out unless I was late to pick up my equipment but I was on time and was inconvenienced. I also wanted to return the truck to another location which I was told I couldn’t do because there were no one-way vehicles as if the truck could talk and tell me it wasn’t a one way vehicle itself. Like how can I not take it and drop it somewhere else like it knows it’s supposed to be dropped off at the same location.... like no! That just didn’t make sense to me if you are all one business I should be able to drop off at a different location. This was just a poor experience and I spent Unnecessary money having to rent dollies elsewhere that in the end cost me $150 because i had to wait for someone with a truck to help me return them because i had to get the uhaul back by 8 and Home Depot was already closed.

Comment: The mobile phone pickup and drop off process can be absolutely frustrating! One would think that doing all this precheck-in computer strokes before hand would shorten the process when arriving to pick up one’s equipment; however, the process for me, even given this was my second, or third time doing it this way, was tremendously frustrating, and a longer period of time to retrieve the equipment I was seeking, than going to the counter. It felt like such a waste of time. I would never go through this process again, and perhaps not rent from U-haul again, given the experiences I’ve had with this company over the years I’ve patronized it. It took me an additional 26 minutes after arriving to finally retrieve the van I rented. Four days later I needed to rent again, and went to Budget Truck rentals, and the experience was no less than perfect! Newer, and better vehicles, and way less hassle the rent!

If it wasn’t for an employee who so happened to come in on his day off walked to the back and got the employee members attention, I would still be at the counter till this day.The employee in question, was on the phone when I first walked in talking to someone about a fleet being towed in at 4am that morning and completely ignored me, the customer. I eventually left and returned and the 1st paragraph happened.The storage had no padlock for my unit and staff could careless. If it wasn’t for an employee who works in the fleet area helping me I would be without a padlock.

Then I was charged for TWO days rental on the truck when I had the truck from 11:51am to 5:27pm on the SAME day and I only put 18 miles on the truck! And then to add insult to injury, I was billed the next day for also having the blankets for two days. In all, my experience was unacceptable and I will be contacting your office for corrections.

When I received the truck the fuel gage was around 3/8, while dropped off was over than check in. also I received the car at 4:55 pm, they put 4:35 instead. When I paid 432$ my estimate tax was 35.99$ and they charged me again 46.45$ for tax.Its a fraud, You charged me 46.55$ tax over 138$ in Los Angeles, means over 33% tax or you charged me 2 times for tax which both is fraud.and 14$ for gas that you never have it.

Comment: Absolutely abysmal experience from start to finish. Not only did U-Haul not have enough U-Boxes, I was lied to about it. I had to wait a whole day to receive the next U-Box, requiring me to delay my move and pay the movers extra, plus U-Haul didnt have enough boxes for my 1100sf, 2BR house, requiring me to leave thousands of dollars of belongings behind. And I didnt even have that much stuff to move (no bed/mattress, no dresser, no fridge, etc.).One of the U-Boxes was damaged upon arrival. Another was filled with trade show promotional items, which we had to leave on the sidewalk.On top of that, the staff was incredibly rude.Finally, when the U-Boxes arrived at my new home, there was additional damage and my TV was broken.The worst of it is that U-Hauls competition (PODS and U-PACK) both offered better rates, but I went with U-Haul because theyre the biggest name in the business, so I figured it would be better.HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Comment: I tried to look for parking and there was only one available spot and an employee told me I can’t park there because they are too busy with trucks going in and out for me to take one parking spot. I asked if there was somewhere to park then and he said across the fence in a tow away zone area by a store. I needed to buy a pack of boxes and I couldn’t move or carry it by myself and I asked if I could just purchase the box kit and quickly get help loading it in that way I wouldn’t be in anyone’s way. I wasn’t renting anything. He said no that it was against protocols to help a customer carry or load anything inside a vehicle, even though I was offered this same help last time I was there. I said I couldn’t park in the other area, can’t park in their lot, and can’t get help, and asked what I could do, he just shrugged and said I don’t know and offered no solutions. I was also on hold for over 10 minutes trying to talk to someone at this location and was never answered to. If there’s no parking for customers, please don’t tell them to park their cars somewhere else they can’t actually park.

I want to thank her for providing awesome customer service because she went above and beyond to accommodate my needs for truck and storage rentals. She proved to me that she promotes ethical transactions in her facility, because she corrected the errors that could have charged me more money. I was surprised that she took her personal time on her day off work to solve my dispute and helped me to understand the contract was fair. I love this place because its clean, equipped with everything I needed to move, and the rates are fair. This location has an area were people donate items that are free to chose from. Comment: Im happy theres a Uhaul close to where I live. This is our 2nd time renting Uhaul Uboxes. We like this service. The arrival of the boxes was on time (early in fact). However, setting up the delivery of the boxes was a HUGE disappointment and very frustrating. Were unsure of where Uhaul needs to tighten up its service in regards to delivering, but it definitely needs more delivery people. We ended up hiring a contractor for delivery and unloading through MovingHelp (they were great), but my interactions with UHaul before deciding to go with the contractor were super frustrating, slow, and makes their delivery service unrecommendable. UHaul needs to provide better information on and resources for the delivery to address, not just arrival of the boxes to the UHaul location. This Los Angeles location didnt have much info, didnt have enough employees, didnt have enough drivers, didnt have enough trailers to haul two boxes.... Overall, I would say the last bit of my uhaul uboxes was the most stressful and frustrating part.

Comment: First I wanted to rent a truck from Culver City location. I tried from the website and I got reservation. 15 minutes later very “polite” lady changed it to this location. I called to see why I cannot get the truck from the desired location when it is available on the site and she told me that they don’t have any availability in my area for a month ahead. Ok, maybe Venice? No! They don’t too. Curious how is it possible but I accepted to take my truck from there.I went to take the truck and the guy who gave me the key and made the inspection told me that they are looking for only for major issues and damages with the truck. On first sight there’s nothing wrong with it and I accepted. Few hours later when I went back to return my rental the other guy who was there charged me $150 for something on the bumper. Tried to explain that was there when I got the truck but he said it was not marked so it is new. Definitely it wasn’t new damage, you can say it for sure but he rejected to hear my explanation. He told me the manager will call me on Monday. This manager never did it.Two days later I called customer service and the lady on the phone try to call the manager but her call was forwarded to U-Haul automatic phone service. She submitted a ticket for the incident and the manager should call me up to three days. Guess what, they never called me back.So, at the end of the day I was unfairly charged for something that was there before me. Be careful. I will never use this company again. I am curious how many people have been charged for this bumper? I guess enough for a new truck.

Comment: I gotta give it to U-Haul, the company really has gone places since Joe Shoen took his brother out all those years ago.I stopped on in to make purchase of a couple mediums and an extra large along with a roll of tape and a roll of packing corn and the employee assisting me had it loaded in my trunk and ready to check me out faster then I could say 14 foot!What blew my mind is the recpiet I found balled up in my panels pocket later on that day. I had paid cash for the items and was in such a hurry on out of there that I didnt even pay it any mind or care got that matter but now that I held it in my hand i must say, I was a little bit disappointed.When I was assistant manager for the local U-Haul back in 1999 things would have ended up a little different. Somewhere out there in middle America too many years ago when anyone wanted to purchase anything at all boxes included the money theyd spend went right in me or the managers pocket. You could find us three sheets past the wind stone cold drunk a mile down the road at either Old Chicago or Benninings laying face down on a table and smiling in our spit knowing that Uhaul paid for the moment and it would forever be remembered.Kids these days are missing out.that money would be mine

On top of the loss of my mom, there was a rain storm which prevented me from entering the storage facility.
