It sounds like a young girl screaming in my ear when it goes off. (Think the Japanese horror movie THE RING). Also, it goes off every 20 to 30 minutes. I doubt there is a break-in that frequently. Im quite terrified by the sound of this alarm, if the facility manager could address the sound and-or its trigger that would be great.Other than that I am very grateful for the storage rental that I had!!!

Comment: I have rented over 20 storage units in my lifetime and this facility was by far the best!  Not only was the facility itself excellent, but the customer service had to be the best customer service I have ever had in all the businesses I have dealt with. I have to thank Crystal; Store Manager who gave my family outstanding, above and beyond surprisingly stupendous service!  The security at this facility was amazing as well.  We accidentally left without putting our lock on the unit and they noticed out of the tremendous amount of units they rent and made a courtesy call to let us know. Aside from all the cameras, a person is not able to access a floor without an access code via elevator nor the staircase. As big as the place is, you could not possibly get lost because they have arrows and direction all over the facility.  The place never gets hot due to the great air circulation they always have. The bathrooms were always clean as well as the entire facility and hallways. There were always enough to go around push carts and never had to look for a cart. The motion lights were not on a manual timer and were always turned on when needed automatically. The elevators were never occupied to have to wait for other customers. The hallways had enough space. There was always parking up front everytime we arrived. We never had issues about being in another tenants way. And lastly, but definitely not least; renting a U-Haul was a breeze. No questions asked - no hassle. The entire crew were very friendly and accommodating. Top notch service. So much we would bet on using the service again!

Comment: Pick up experience:I reserved a 10ft truck at this location, and called them in the morning asking if I can come earlier for pick up and they said yes. However, when I got there they told me you are early and we can’t give you a truck since we don’t have one, when I told them I called they magically found a truck! Very odd!Drop off experience:when I dropped off they went around the truck and said there is a hole in ceiling of the container and asked me if I went through a parking structure that caused the hole which I didn’t. They were expecting me that I should have checked the ceiling of the container and if it was there before I pick it up I should have reported it!!!! Regardless after responding multiple times that I didn’t go through any parking structure and didn’t cause any damage on the truck they went inside and checked something and came back and gave me the final receipt without mentioning the hole anymore!!!This suggests to me they are not trustworthy since they accused me first before checking the history of the truck and tried to get something out of me for the damage! Very unhappy with my experience! Lessons learned either don’t rent from u-haul or take a picture from every angle of the truck to show them the proof you didn’t cause any damage.Also the other odd experience was giving the truck to me with 3/4 tank and expected me to fill it with the same amount in return, that is fine on the surface but it seems that they want to get some extra penny out of you since a lot of people won’t pay attention to the meter and fill the whole tank which gives u-haul some extra bucks( the fuel part is my hypothesis and don’t have evidence for it)

Comment: Nothing!These people are crooks these are the things that occurred...1 I rented 26 ft truck rented for 42 days total charge $3900 I did pay them $1600.2 I drove it only 60 miles3 Told me to pay cash every few days4 They charged my credit card continuously without asking me nor telling me.5 When I asked why they werent telling me re: credit card they didnt tell me.6. A few times they threatened me to call police if I didnt check in with them They insisted I call them everyday to report in.7 After paying for insurance A 4 inch x 7 inch hole appeared when the truck wasnt in use they charged me $588 for the damage.8 I asked for an itemized receipt and to include all the cash payments that they received, which to this day I have not received.10. All the receipts that they sent me are all different with different amounts and without any cash payments.11. A worker at Uhaul came to me and showed me concern that Iwasnt being told the truth regarding my account. Especially about my cash payments.12. The workers treated rudely and demanding attitude regardingwhat they wanted me to do.Be careful by keeping record of what you pay them especially if you pay cash and be wary of their insurance policies they are very sneaky and should not be trusted.

No padlock, the blankets were opened and NOT IN a plastic bag, so charged for those, and they did not say that the dolly was not ziptied for 3 days used this only 2 nites and charged 3 days for dolly and blankets. No one at dealer to call to pickup until I called central number to ask why arent they answering the phone to pickup the truck, and then, upon return, no one working the 2 business sites(a restaurant plus next door smoke shop) and returned it with 1/8 tank MORE than what was needed at rental pickup time, so spent $40 on gas refueling, only to be charged for blankets, dolly for 3 days, and I returned the truck at 10:36 this morning and paid for until 7PM bc originally the nite I picked up no one was answering the phone, so I opted to cut short tonites drop off. Waste of money on Uhaul ...never again..

STRONGLY RECOMMEND against using U-Haul, this is how much they value your patronage or how much they keep their promises with you, as the email that confirmed my reservation noted.I made a reservation a month in advance for a Vanbody storage unit to hold everything my family owns after moving in from out of state. I dropped by the day our reservation started to make sure everything was ready to go for our anticipated delivery the next day. I was told that our reservation would not be honored, as per their corporate policy, it had been allowed to be rented out to somebody else AFTER we made the reservation.The staff were friendly and apologetic about the corporations unethical and probably illegal business practice (note the settled class action lawsuit in the state of CA from about a decade ago), however they were unable to offer a similar volume storage unit ANYWHERE in the county.My familys belongings are now sitting in a truck in a parking lot, and I was offered no compensation in terms of assistance booking with a different company, company credit to rent equipment to try and un-f*** the situation they created, or even a cash compensation.Of note, they never ONCE contacted us to let us know they had given away our reservation. They even remarked that normally they try to call the day before if this is going to happen (clearly its a frequent business practice), but in this case they forgot about us. If I had not gone by the day our reservation started to confirm everything was good to go, an entire moving truck would have shown up the next day with nowhere to unload our belongings.Of course we would not have even bothered booking this reservation if we had known they had no intent of honoring it. I strongly recommend you pass on any U-Haul service.

Even after a break in attempt it was not fixed. Definitely not thrilled with the security of the place. There are all of these cameras around and they didnt catch the attempted break in. Comment: Im not happy. Can this place do anything right? I signed up for 24/7 share. I went to pick up my truck at 10 PM and couldnt. Had to go back at 7 am. Was told by the help center that they forgot to set it up for me. Okay? So they gave me a $50 VIP credit. Im thinking to myself they might redeem themselves. Nope. I go to drop my truck off and the 24/7 share function doesnt work again, so the 15 minutes I took to upload the pictures they asked for was a waste. I applied my coupon but that didnt work either. Im thinking that theyll see Im VIP and charge me correctly in the morning. Boy was I wrong. Not only did they not apply my $50 but they marked me as returning the truck with less gas than I received it and charged me extra for that. I actually put extra gas in the truck which I have pictures to prove. I tried to call this morning and was greeted with a 20+ min waiting time on the phone. Decided to try the website chat. Sat there for 10 minutes and no one came into the chat. Waste of time and energy. Not renting from uhaul again. And Im going to the store in a few hours to tell them how I feel in person. When people are renting trucks to move, they are relying on you during one of the most stressful times in their lives. Why cant you actually be helpful?

Comment: I used Uhaul recently for a one way drive from San Diego to Texas, and I got a 10 ft truck and a two wheel dolly to attach car on for transportation. On the way to texas, the U-haul dollys left tire burst in the middle of nowhere. I contract Uhaul emergency support and they told me to leave the tow dolly on the road and go ahead and drive back to Texas with both vehicles, and that I would be compensated by Uhaul for my troubles. Needless to say, when it comes to customer service, this uhaul store is horrendous. I have been waiting 3 weeks now for a partial refund on the tow dolly (which I should be entitled to a full refund for a breach of contract on multiple accounts but I have been trying to be nice to expedite my refund) and the manager refuses to answer my calls or return my calls or in any way resolve this issue. I have used Penske in the past and their equipment has never broken down on me. BEWARE OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS BRANCH!!!!

Comment: I called for my daughter whos moving in to an apartment near U. C. San Diego. A woman picked up the phone and would not permit me to ask simple questions like what kind of truck or cargo vans are available. She started to ask my information and asked for my credit card information. I havent even told her when or what kind of truck or van Ill be using . She immediately got annoyed when I stopped her from keep on talking and started to ask MY questions. She just didnt seem like she wanted to help me at all!I hung up and called the another U-Haul few miles away and booked a truck within 5 minutes.
