Comment: Employee named JD was extremely rude when I came to the MV office in Sunnymead in Moreno Valley today (4/2/24) around d 7:55 am. I borrowed the tow dolly and decided to bring back early, since the app said I can do so. However, upon conforming this morning an employee named JD was extremely rude, defensive, and sarcastic and even had the nerve to say you must have an android phone, and there is no way you can turn things in overnight despite what the Uhaul app says. I didnt appreciate this at all and has left me with a very bad and unprofessional image of Uhaul!

Comment: When I arrived Saturday morning at 9:45am to pick up a 26 foot U-Haul Truck, there was a substantial amount of customers waiting in line with only 1 customer service representative working. She was amazing running between two separate desks to keep the line moving despite the continuous influx of customers. She treats her work with great attention to detail and is very consistent because this is the second time I have seen her on a Saturday morning taking care of what seems the entire business by herself. She is clearly a key employee. I wouldnt hesitate to hire her for my own business.The initials of the U-HAUL representative is ML

Comment: I rented a 10 feet truck. the rental experience went really well. I am pleased and satisfied. One thing that I noticed was that there were no usb outlets where to plug my phone. Yes there was the cigarrete lighter option and the 110 adapter. Yes it is nice to have the the last two options but the usb option is most prevalent in most cars and this truck did not have it

Comment: I picked the truck up and headed to the storage to load it and realized there was a lock on the back which prevented us from loading the truck. I called roadside assistance and they said it would take an hour for someone to cut the lock. Nobody came so I called again and they said there was miscommunication and someone would be there in ten minutes and that took another 30 minutes. I am upset because I had to wait and could’ve been done sooner. I would like a credit.

Also, when the guy (not sure of his name) pulled up the truck for me he also put the heater on for me as it was pretty cold that morning. Really appreciate the staff and their professionalism.

I would say the whole area of this community is bad customer service. I feel like they might get scammed a lot or deal with a lot of not so trustworthy people. That they began to treat everyone like that. & I’mSorry everyone not bad. & we the customer is the one who keep business going.My experience here was so bad . I don’t want to get into but . They customer service is poor not from everyone just certain people. Who has a bad way of communicating with people and they have attitudes from the start. I would not recommend to rent from here at all save your time and energy and go to different uhaul locations. That give better customer service . & to the manager there he definitely bad also he shows in his way of communicating he doesn’t want to work there get a new job. Don’t take it out on the customer the the community is the reason you have the job . Also stop trying to go above and beyond your policy. Your going to cause a lawsuit sir. I will never do business again at this location. They need to be closed down . Look how many bad reviews the store has that’s is so sad . Lastly it’s not the customer fault that you don’t like your job or want to be there.

Comment: I have rented from UHaul for over 4 decades. And UHaul had always been good and polite. Now there is a policy, that I have to give 2 contact phone numbers to them and they actually call and bother these friends/family of mine. First, its no ones business if I am renting a truck, and I dont need my friends or family permission. This is a complete invasion of privacy!!! I called customer service and they assured me that is is the new policy. From not on, I will use UHaul as a very last resort. Very insulting, and very very bad customer service. This experience was terrible, and everyone in the lobby doing the same were also very angry. No one was happy about this. UHaul, fix this problem. There is a customer history for a reason. I had family time with some friends and family yesterday, we all agree if this is the new UHaul, then we will go elsewhere.

Comment: I have used uhaul several times in the past 3 years and have always had great experiences. This was an awful experience this time around from start to finish. When I made my reservation online I was quoted $150 for the rental including a utility dolly, furniture dolly and appliance dolly. When I arrived to pick it up I was told they did not have a utility dolly for me and my bill was going to be $190 instead of the $150. After checking out I waited 45 minutes in the 95+° weather for some one to bring my trailer. When someone finally took me to the trailer, none of my dollys were there so I had to wait again for them to find them. The driver side mirror was broken and the passenger door seal was fallen over. I notified the worker and was told that was all they had. When I extended my rental 7 hours my new quoted price was $240. Once my I returned the rental my price was in the mid 300 dollars. The app said my mileage driven was 99 miles but that was completely false. Only about 55 miles was driven in the U-Haul. I was told I would receive a call from customer support today and never got a call. This was an awful experience from check-in to quoted prices to equipment and customer support.

She had an attitude because I was asking questions regarding putting a hold on the card and charging the card. Slam my keys down to a other agent and told her to handle me because she was not going to help me. Other employees noticed the bad customer service but did not intervene to make it any better. Actually did the opposite told me not to go back and forth with her. Comment: I was in Moreno Valley searching for a U/Haul store and I found this location on sunnymead blvd very close to the freeway. There were a lot of stores or shopping malls nearby like Chulichi Town, Superior market, Fallas, Metro PCs, a gas station very convenient for people. I went inside the store and the general manager Rudy help with getting me a 26 inch truck for moving a storage unit to another storage unit for a affordable price. I was happy because she made easy and fast so I can get going cause I have a certain time to return the van or truck back to the U-Haul location. I highly recommend it to visit and rent a van, truck, trailers from this location and make sure you talk to Rudy she’s very helpful and friendly.

Andrew kept calling me stating I can guarantee you we wont have anything available during that time.....and you should do this instead. My refund hasnt gotten to my bank account yet. I was then sent to this location to pick up a different one. I got no apology there either and had to pay AGAIN. Later in the day when I was trying to return it to the Exxon Mobil just to find out the address on the contract is not accurate. Drove around about 20 minutes trying to find the place. Called several numbers and never got any helpful information or talked to someone locally. Just very unprofessional customer service. Found out the correct drop off address from an Exxon Mobil employee from ANOTHER location. All around terrible experience. Will not be using U-Haul. ever again.

Comment: The truck had no brakes. Let that sink in for a minute. The pedal easily went all the way to the floor and then the brakes locked. My guess is air in the brake line or no brake fluid. Fortunately, I was in the process of pulling out of the parking slot, so I went 5 feet rather than experiencing this kind of catastrophic brake failure on the road. No apologies, no discount for giving me a dangerous truck. Nothing. Staff didnt even seem surprised, which is disturbing in and of itself. Completely unacceptable.

Comment: I gave 3 stars because the truck was functional as expected and the service was fine. However on returning the truck I put gas in at the correct mark point as required. While filling up the truck to return gas is literally pouring out from the gas line. Me being who I am I recorded it as proof. When I went to return the truck I notified the customer service rep and she used her walkie talkie to inform the truck attendants in the back. I hear him telling her that Im giving false information and that Im lying. She then radios back to him and informs him that I have proof of video with a time stamp as evidence. He didnt have anything else to say back . So just be aware of these truck at this location and gain whatever proof needed to back you up incase they try and stick you with a fine or damage to their truck.

I tell them it’s almost an hour away, but it’s 555, so I jump in the car and get down there. I got there at 655 and they start the rental, verify my phone numbers then tell me they can’t rent to me because they are closing. They refused to give me a discount if I show up to rent from them tomorrow and told me it was corporates fault and to contact them. Call corporate and they tell me only the local facility can give the discount. Save yourself the time and frustration and rent from Penske or another company that cares about their customers.

The staff here were great - from calling to confirm our appointment and needs to the woman behind the counter who consistently went beyond the call of duty to help us! I wish I had gotten her name, because she was great. She kept getting left alone behind the counter and she would juggle all the customers quickly and pleasantly! Most importantly, the hitch works without a ... hitch!

No wheres on the card does it say debit it was a platinum credit card with the Visa logo.. she wouldnt even try to run my credit card all she would do is argue with me.... whatever happened to the customer is right... I believe her name was Judy.. another woman worker kept interfering and saying its a debit card its a debit card and they both kind of ganged up on me... I left the U-Haul place feeling emotionally drained and harassed... all she had to do was try to run the card it would have worked.... this card works at Enterprise and hertz as a credit card it would have worked here too.... I know for a fact it would have worked because it worked at another U-Haul location in Arizona.. corporate definitely needs to be on top of this lady.. I have never had such a bad experience as a customer as I did with this lady...

Comment: When I had my catering business, I used to rent from them often when I had more business than my trucks could handle...I always had a pleasant experience and check in and check out was a breeze...also had 3 trailer hitches installed...they were always professional and courteous and worked hard to get me a vehicle when i was in a rush...always bought my propane here and the guys would come to service my tanks within a couple minutes of ringing the bell...well run and efficient outfit...

Comment: I had an unfortunate incidendent with the U-Haul Rental on Sunnymead Blvd. Not only did they charge me for an extra day on my moving day, but kept all of my credit card information and charged me by renting many random items one month after I moved. They run their operation like thieves. On their website, its set up where the items are chosen already for you. And they are numerous. Plus, if dont catch the no thankslink, your account will be charged. Customer beware!

Comment: Run by idiots. I called to have bike mount installed for our bike rack. the lady asked me what diameter it was and I told her 1 1/4. She said yes they had one mount left. I asked her to hold it for me. Then she changed her story and said Oh you use the 2 inch So they installed the 2 . I said this looks really big and the lady said oh this is the only size that fits your van. Went home and Of course it was too big. when I called they said you have to come back and buy the adapter. Why didnt they tell me that when I was there as they knew the size of my bike rack? Went back bought it and the lady said - it takes this pin to hold it. Got home. The pin was too short, the mount bottoms out and scrapes every time I go up a small hill. I called another uhaul and they told me I could have installed the smaller hitch all along. So the lady in Moreno Valley flat out lied to me when she said my van could only take the bigger hitch. Just a horrible experience. leaving on vacation in two days and still no working bike mount!

Comment: Best place around to buy propane, Cheaper than the tank exchange places, they actually fill the tank, while most exchange tanks are only 3/4 full. No waiting around for someone to get the keys and free your propane from the propane tank jail. You just drive to the back side of the building, and there is a propane filling area. Usually an employee is already there to help but if not there is a buzzer. They will fill your tank and you can pay right there, they have a handheld credit card machine. You can get In get your propane and get out and back to the BBQ in about 5 minutes. Frank Hill would approve!

Comment: I love uhaul been using them for over 25 yrs nationwide, but this is by far the worst location Ive ever been to. The truck was dirty and broke down for over 10hrs with all of my things packed in. After I complained to company they had and attitude and didnt want to give me my money back because of the huge inconvenience plus I was paying movers which I had to pay overtime because this uhaul location had us sitting around for 10+hrs waiting for them to send a tow truck. This location has HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and I will make sure to let any and EVERY person I know not to use this location on Sunnymead. They are the main uhaul store in this area with the worst attitudes. Called uhual corporate and that lady never filed the formal complaint about the truck, and they were unaware of the issues with this location. So please BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION.... USE A DIFFERENT UHAUL FACILITY.

Comment: Terrible customer service, I will never rent from this location again. I had a motorcycle trailer for one extra day . I was on the phone making reservation for an additional day when one of the the stores reps called and was extremely rude to my pregnant wife after my credit card had already been charged.
