Comment: I made a one way reservation a week in advance for a 10 foot van and two utility dolly’s . When I arrive there were three staff at the counter but only helping one customer at a time, so I waited nearly 15 minutes to be serviced, once I got up to the counter I spoke to the service member with long hair and glasses wow assisted me with my reservation, only to be surprised that there were no dolly’s in the building. I explained to the clerk that I reserved those dolly’s in advanced and it was needed for my move however the clerk only offered to cancel the two dolly’s or offer an appliance dolly instead. I am upset because I don’t see the point of reserving a week in advance and only for the place now to have any dolly’s or the staff being unwilling to assist other than “ taking it off my reservation “ in addition to this I spent over 40 minutes reaching out to customer service and being transferred three times and dropped twice to find out that the only location that has dolly is out of the way! U-haul, why don’t you guys have dollys ?

Comment: When I picked up the truck I was instructed to photo every little thing before leaving the lot or I would be responsible to fix it!. This took me 15 to 20 minutes to look over the entire truck and document Defensively so I wouldnt be charged. I was told it was a new truck. I found many scratches. I also wasnt told to do it in the app so I did it once then when I found out the app doesnt allow uploads I had to do it again......... no way. Such a waste of time.

Maybe attempting to keep up with modern technologies and alternatives.I was overcharged and displeased with service.

Comment: Terrible UHaul! The customer agent treated me horribly and I was harassed and disrespected. I felt poorly for the rest of the day after my experience. As well, the pickup truck I rented was filthy dirty with the windshield covered in a cloudy, white film that was difficult to see through and needed cleaning.i reserved a pickup truck at the Midway UHaul. the day before my pick up date, i received an email informing me my reservation had been changed to a 24/7 Truck Share rental. I immediately called UHaul reservations to inquire and the agent was unable to offer an answer. My reservation was changed back to an instore pickup at the Midway location for the next day.I arrived on time for my pick up and found the UHaul agent to be immediately unfriendly and he seemed further displeased after i gave him my name. He then started to give me a hard time about my out-of-town phone number, insisting i provide a local phone number with which i could be contacted 24/7 even though I do not live in California. When i explained that i have an account and ive rented from UHaul many times using my home number without ANY problems, he simply stated he was doing his job. He further commented that if i didnt want to go through this process, that i should complete the rental using the app and not through him. Throughout our transaction, he stated this multiple times.My daughter then arrived and i was forced to provide her phone number which he phoned to verify on the spot. THIS WAS STILL NOT ENOUGH!! the agent then INSISTED i provide a THIRD phone number for him to call and verify. When i offered my other daughters Canadian phone number, the agent told me i would need yet ANOTHER 4th phone number for verification!!! My 2 daughters and I stood absolutely livid. The guy had my drivers license, credit card, phone number and had me and my family standing in front of him and it was not enough. Never have i been so harrassed in all my previous UHaul rentals. Completely maddening! and a waste of our precious time!In desperation to have our rental truck, we were forced to provide my daughters roommates phone number. She also was called on the spot and was asked to verify our identities as we all stood waiting.When we finally received the keys to the rental truck, we found it to be filthy dirty unlike the trucks weve previously rented.What a horrifying experience for us to endure. We felt harassed and completely disrespected by the UHaul agent who was clearly lazy and did not want to do his job, preferring to force customers to complete their rentals through the app and not through him.I would NEVER recommend this location and I will NEVER rent from the Midway location EVER again!

Comment: The outside of the truck was really dirty and had a bunch of spider webs on it I think that it would be beneficial to clean the trucks.Then I asked for a van but he said they didnt have any and requested I get the bigger truck only for me to walk outside and see a van sitting ready for rental. Makes me think that I was being up sold on a more expensive vehicle.Next I didnt really like the price I only drove 8 Mi and it cost me close to $50 also I was charged an extra $12.90 for the gas when I only drove 8 Miles so what Im being told is that 8 miles is the same as driving more than 2 gallons worth of gas which is not true the gas meter didnt move.

Once you go through all the paperwork and reservations, they wont let you get the keys until you give them the full contact info of two other people you know so they can market to them. They needed to call them to confirm who I was. Completely unacceptable. At the end when I returned the truck, the guy who could barely be bothered to check out, told me that if I didn’t fold the two blankets perfectly for him, he would charge me $25. To fold a blanket. Both were REQUIRED.

Comment: This particular location appears to be normal to human eye but they possess less human skills and customer relations are not their strong suit. Was in a rush to get my trailer for a company function and when in line when a family of 4 who spoke Spanish leaving me out of conversation to speak up so they lady helping them was Hispanic of course so after placing them ahead of me thus causing more delaying and money put out only for that 30 minutes of racial preference they were on a list where they could even rent so I was late for nothing but was unable to say anything because I speak English. But that was only part of the many reasons not to ever rent from them again should have stuck to the uhaul on Adams Avenue where they are and always friendly and respectful and not racist such as the one in Point Loma.

The pain is so bad I’ve seen seen a chiropractor twice and have made an appointment with my doctor.The seats also don’t adjust and I’m pretty sure the padding in them is made of gravel. It’s like a torture device I suggest hiring a moving company if you can afford it.

Comment: Came in on Monday March 2 to pick up a 20ft truck and tow dolly. The dolly wasnt available but they helped me out and upgraded it to the auto transport trailer. Then when it became clear I had underestimated the size truck I needed they were more than happy to replace it with a larger one. Specifically Kendra and Alan had an upbeat and helpful attitude despite the fact that it was busy and I was woefully unprepared! Would definitely recommend to a friend based on their service.

My husband spoke extensively to the manager when he made the appointment about our RV that needed the hitch. We arrived, after fighting through traffic and using a substantial amount of gas, to be told that the installation tech was not there. They told is to come back at 10. So we came back. We waited parked where we were told to go, until almost 11. Several crack heads walked through the parking lot and one started smoking crack on the wall. Finally my husband walked inside and was told the tech still wasnt there. This place is a JOKE and wasted our time.

I am suspecting an employee at this location of double charged my credit card OR did not check the 17 truck back in properly, but use the truck for his/her personal. There are two charges: $71.32 for 1 days rental + ~30miles + $14 safe move, and the other $114.48 unauthorized or illegal charge. I am contacting my credit card company, Uhaul, and store manager to dispute the charge. Store employees denied my request to review the recording video of the day of rental Feb 27th around 17:30 and return day Feb 28th around 17:00. Updated 15Mar19. They returned me $45 out of the $114.48 unauthorized or scam chargered.

Comment: I had reserved a truck in advance. Picking it up at this location was smooth overall! I had to wait about 5-10 minutes for the people in front of me to be helped, but once I was helped, I was driving out within another 10 minutes.I also made use of the 24/7 truck return feature after hours at this location, which was very easy using my phone to snap a couple of photos recording the mileage and gas levels and truck cleanliness. Tough to beat this for an in-town move.

Comment: Usually no waiting, excellent service by knowledgeable staff. Propane is king.Kind of busy sometimes.Good place to hire laborers for small to medium remodeling jobs. Helps the homeless and you at the same time and that makes it a win-win for everyone.

Comment: I had very little issue with this location. Right off Midway, easy to get to, very visible location from the street. Process was easy to get the rental van, paperwork was fast, and check in even faster. Only small complain I have is that the storage units and the actual sales place are two different buildings, the latter of which is in a smaller building. I walked around the larger building before being directed by someone to the correct place. But, aside from that I have no issues here.

Comment: Horrible parking. The staff use all of the spots close to the storage entrance. Service is slow. The management is horrible. The roof leaks during rain storms. Their solution was to put plastic over the top of my unit inside the building and not fix the roof. The did not reimburse me for the water damage to my things.

Comment: So Im returning the trailer and theres this guy back there and hes spending like 10 minutes on his cell phone so he didnt came and asking for anything so I go to the front desk and theres this lady also on her cell phone, I asked her Im here to return a trailer and shes like yeah i know !the guy out there is waiting for you, and I say okay . I was just back there and he didnt say anything, thats why Im here, so I go back there, the guy tells me to remove my stuff, so then i go inside I asked the lady if she needs anything else. From me .she say no. and I asked her if she can make a copy of the receipt and shes we dont have a copy machine here. I said thank you. what a horrible customer service they have.

Comment: I needed to move some thing from my storage to my house and vice versa, ordered a truck last minute and service was great! I had to wait a tiny bit since it was busy when I got there, understandably. Staff was totally helpful and made pick and return easy and pleasant.
