Then by the time we got a truck after being there for an hour and a half we had to return the truck because it served hazard with the steering wheel being super crooked almost vertical. Comment: I set up contactless pickup weeks before my reservation and my truck was not reserved nor was I contacted about my missing truck prior to arriving at 8 a.m. to pick up my truck (before the office opened). The app had a note that a rep from this location was supposed to call me the day before to confirm things, but I was never contacted. I waited for over an hour and the office also didnt open on time. When corporate customer service finally answered my call, they had to send me to a completely separate location to pick up a 26 truck because they didnt see a truck reserved for me at this location, and in fact said it didnt look like the location even reviewed my reservation at all. Extremely disappointed by this experience, especially since we paid a good sum for this large truck and this issue delayed our out-of-state move because it took hours to resolve. I highly suggest reserving from the U-haul in Inglewood – they are on top of their game and extremely responsive. I should have reserved the truck from that location to begin with.

Comment: I have a reservation. However, I am standing in a long line and not being given priority before the people without reservations. The people who work here did not send a text or email to notify that the computer system is down. It takes about 10 minutes uses per customer to process. Also, there is a potential for identity theft, because not only do they ask for your drivers license but they also want to photograph you with a cell phone. Some unscrupulous and enterprising lowlife can take this information and make new and fake licenses. The two inside employees also need to be sent to customer service school for at least an 8 hour a day 1 week course to learn how to deal with the public and if they refuse should be fired ( not moved around to another location) because of noncompliance.There is also no place for customers to sit who are infirmed. There were some elderly and one person receiving chemotherapy who were in line and the employees lacked awareness and sensitivity to their customers needs. The truck was also a non-smoking truck as the signs on both windows attested to. But, the smell in the truck was a combination of cigarettes and Marijuana. As I do not smoke, this was another irritation.When returning the truck, the mats in the front had footprints on them front the site I took my yard debris to. The male employee brought this to my attention and I gave him permission to levy a charge as long as he reduced the price of the rental because of it smelling of cigarettes and Marijuana. He let that line of reasoning go and then started reading my review on Google to me including my email address as if I should be nervous about him knowing what I wrote. I replied that he should give his boss my regards for passing my review on to them so quickly, which quieted him even more. There is an older gentleman who works on the outside with rentals who was very kind and sensible and informative. I hope the other two employees this Sunday learn how to act and deal with customers from him.

Comment: Terrible customer service. I called the corporate office because my contractor was discriminated against as if he was trying to get over. They don’t do a walk around inspection but I always take pictures so the manager talks over policy after accusing my contractor of not returning the truck with a full tank of gas when they gave it to us with a quarter tank. The manager is over talking me and I tell him if your staff did their job we wouldnt be here. I sent the picture and he had nothing else to say but why treat him like that? Because he felt like he could and he has no respect for people in the community. We are not all broke, ignorant, poor, uneducated, and we need to steal gas so he got reporter to corporate so he doesn’t do this to anyone else.

Comment: The self check out process is not applicable to this location. Despite what the website says you are still made to stand in line to get a key and a link. Then once I finally reached the counter the key could not be found to the vehicle I assigned. I was then assigned another vehicle that was blocked in by the vehicle with the missing key. My self check took almost an hour and the desk clerk/ customer service was not helpful, actually the clerk actually seemed annoyed that I did self check. I was supposed to be given a new link for the new vehicle but that never happened. I had the vehicle 3 days and never got the like. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Comment: Issue #1The 2 younger employees at this location had the worst customer service skills I’ve encountered in a while. There was very little respect showed to me as a paying customer. Their tone and wording was what you would hear between them and some peers.Issue #2I was at U-Haul to rent a pickup truck and tow dolly. Despite having plenty of equipment, the cashier attempted to “corner” me into buying a tow hitch to connect the pickup truck and tow dolly. I was told they could not rent them and none of their pickup trucks or cargo vans are equipped with tow hitches per the manager. As I was thinking I noticed all of the moving vans were equipped with tow hitches. I decided I would rent a box truck in order to use the tow dolly which was my primary reason for using your rental services. My problem was that the cashier attempted to coerce me into buying equipment I don’t need and did not have any suggestions on how to solve my problem. I understand the principle of increasing sells but not providing a complete package is not the solution.

I finally get the truck which I ended up needing extra days & I drop off after hours & their app wasnt working... 4 days go by & still no invoice & the charges look high? Comment: The truck needed oil and was almost out of gas. The employees also need customer service training. They assumed I knew what to do for the pickup and return process. I had to hound them to get help. The manager also did not properly support his employees. An employee told me to go inside and tell the manager to add to my account that the truck needed oil. The manager just said youre ok dont worry and didnt do anything. The employee complained about the manager not being very good or supportive and had to go inside himself to have the manager add the note to the account.Because of all the issues, I was there 30-45 minutes longer than I needed to be to pick up the truck and another 10-15 minutes longer than needed to return the vehicle.Also, when using the truck on the freeway it shook very badly. The suspension needs work.

Comment: Uhaul did not have an available truck at my preferred and RESERVED location or time. Uhaul then moved my location TWICE to inconvenient neighborhoods that werent very friendly or safe, not to mention 30-45 min out of the way of the original route I planned to take. A Uhaul employee took myself and guest in their personal car to transport us to the third location which did not make us feel safe. There was zero compensation or apologies. I was then told my truck would be an hour and a half LATE after my RESERVED time slot. Unacceptable after dropping a large sum of money on a truck, nothing was guaranteed. Making travel and scheduling completely irrelevant. This is the WORST experience Ive ever had with any truck company and I will never be using Uhaul again.

Comment: Worst U haul ever!! The girl at the counter has no customer service and the worst attitude as if she didnt want to be there. She practically told me to look for another location to find what I needed because she wasnt sure if the the tow dolly was reserved, how can she not know that when they have all that info there. Anyways she didnt bother helping me to find what I needed at a different location. I called in one in Gardena and the guy there didnt have anything there either but at least he called other locations and found one that had what I was looking for. I wish i would have got her name. Comment: Very disappointed. They rejected to refill my propane tank that was still within the 12year expiration date and told me to buy a new one at $52. The staff, supervisor and manager (Merta) told me they couldnt refill anything that was within 10years. I check their policy and regulations online and confirm that it was within 12years and they still refuse to refill it for me. I took it to Home Depot and got and exchange in less than 5mins with no issues. Uhaul is definitely a RIP off.

Comment: I made a phone call to get information because a never rented a U Haul before so instead getting any information the employee by the name of Tasha just start laughing on me maybe because of my ignorance which made feel so bad, I hope Tasha finds a job that she really like it because this is not the right one for her. The worst customer service ever by Tasha.

Comment: The mileage was inaccurate. This location charged me for 68.1 miles when in reality I only did 15 miles. There mileage is rigged. Take pictures of the mileage before you leave. Hope this helps someone else.Unfortunately they have lost my service.

Comment: Rented a truck here and they ended up taking an extra $100 off my card for some made up fees not written nor mentioned before. I even asked if there would be any fees and I was told not if Im within the milage and I refilled the tank. I complied and still was over charged. Not to mention the service was poor.

Comment: A place to be deceived they forge contracts there fault in damage they send you threw Hell no response run around Im still in a situation where they flooded out didnt let me know until after making my payment then no information I had to find the corporate office phone number just as bad on customer services, gives me run around, insurance company with them the worst lie on getting information sent to them OMG from June 2016 until present 1216 no information on the damaged of my property and Im being force to pay storage or they will occsion off my property who can help me and Im disable Jesus Christ the only person now they trying to get rid of is Dear something like that Help Me!!!!!!!!!

Comment: Staff here were super friendly and helpful, got us checked in and even handled changing the drop off location for our van for us.Just beware that not everyone who offers help at this location works for U-Haul. We were helped by two guys who help people load stuff in and out of their storage units and are not hired by the company. They just started helping us before we knew what was happening... we didnt complain though they were super helpful as well. Just be aware that you may want to pay them at least $40 (20 each guy)
