Comment: Picked up a van to load and unload a sofa, van already had a residue of oil in the cargo space before i picked up and upon returning they charged $25 cleaning fee for something that is i am not responsible. Upon calling back employee tells me that i should have checked before i left (so the last customer who used van, you didnot check when they retuned, that there are residue of oil???)Also, in contract they put the van has full tank, when leaving their parking i notified them that it is not full tank and they corrected in their system.. basically just put false information in contract and loot customer. never using this location again for any rentals

Comment: My daughter, a military wife, trying to get to her husband in Virginia rented a truck and dolly a month ago. A week ago she confirmed the reservation but they forced her to upgrade to an auto transport as no dolly was available. Today we called again to confirm pickup time and were told there are no auto transports or dolly available even though we had made the reservation. We spoke with the Oceanside office on the phone, asked to speak to a supervisor, but they never called back. Unbelievably poor customer service and no accountability. We now have no way to transfer the car on her move across country on Wed. I remember when Uhaul was reliable with excellent customer service. It has fallen far. They clearly do not support their military customers.

Comment: I am writing this review to make everyone aware that the U-Haul mini storage on Jefferson in Temecula has dishonest management. I rented a storage unit there for over a year and when I checked out I was 9 days into the billing month and the girl at the counter told me that the billing would stop and they would prorate it for the 9 days. But they didnt do that, they charged me for the whole month and the manager said he would have it removed and he never carried through. They could have told me they would bill me for the whole month and I would have waited to the end of the month to move out but that is not what they said. I just want to make people aware that these guys are not straight up. They are not honest and they will take your money if they get the chance to, so be aware before you put your stuff in this storage facility.

Comment: Had a storage place, it was very clean, and the large dollies were great to move things from the van. Only thing was annoying is sometimes the door in the back doesnt unlock(gotta make sure the door is fully closed before using the card reader). Service was great and straight to the point.

Comment: Tried renting a tow dolly but for some reason they only had in town tow dollys that must be returned at the exact store taken from. Specifically asked for a one way and got sent to a different store to be told it is one way also. Waited in a line while a employee just sat there looking at me untill the one outside could assist me. Waited a while drove to 2 locations just to be told they are in town only so I will not be going here or recommending. Besides for storage units as they did have deals for 1st month free with a rental.

The people have no clue what they’re doing and you’d be better off hiring a 3rd party moving company. If I could give them zero stars I would. Unprofessional and just cost me quite a bit of money.

Comment: This U-Haul has pretty much the gammet of rentals. Unlike some Dry Cleaner/Postal Annex/U-Hauls you can almost count on them having what you need. Why only 4 stars then? Their computers are slow, I mean very slow, this not only irritates customers but also the salespeople. If it is a busy day, you can count on being there for a while to get your rental but hey, still better than driving all over the neighboring towns to find that particular trailer you need with a ramp...

Comment: I made a reservation for a trailer and tow hitch over a month ago, I even had to pay a deposit on the hitch since they needed to ship it to the store. I show up on my previously agreed upon appointment time of 8AM thinking I’ll be done by around 11, but that wasn’t the case. I get here and wait in line only to be told that they have been trying to reach me for a few days (I don’t think they have) then they confirmed my number and told me that I would have to come back at 11 to have the hitch installed and that the trailer was at a different location, but they would call the other location to let them know there is a delay so they don’t think I am a no show. At this point I was a little irritated considering I’m trying to pack all of my things because I am about to drive across the country, but I didn’t wanna get mad so I said ok and drove home(35 minutes away)to come back in 3 hours. THEN, what got me is that I got a call from them at around 9:30AM saying that they had the trailer brought to this location so I wouldn’t have to go over to the other location after. So them doing that isn’t what got me, what got me is that they claimed they couldn’t reach my number and had tried to call me for days prior to tell me about the change and supposedly couldn’t get through but today it all of a sudden worked when they called me with the update? The other thing is that the equipment that I had to pay a deposit on over a month ago was not here...they “didn’t have it anymore” so then why did I pay a deposit to have it specially shipped to this store so that it could be here when I got here and they “don’t have it anymore” which leads me to believe that they rented it to someone else. So then what was the point of me doing everything in advance which is supposed to be cheaper (it’s not, the prices today are the same as a little over a month ago) and paying the deposit for a part, that isn’t even here but I had to specifically pay for it to be guaranteed to be here. I really hope that my future experiences with U-Haul in our new city are nothing like this, because I have never had issues with the one in Fallbrook.

The place was clean and everyone was very professional, the only problems I found were that they closed at 7 pm. I found that not convenient at all. Why not at least 9 or 10pm. A blonde female employee had no knowledge of procedures and when we asked about the free month rental and 24/7 storage access she stated we wouldnt get either. We asked about the email and sign hanging ON THE WALL BEHIND HER that stated such. Instead of answering the question she accused us of calling her a liar and yelling at her. For asking a question......she then stormed away and called her manager. We decided just to leave she said sounds great to me! And slammed our papers on the counter. As we walked out in disbelief she was crying to her manager that we had been yelling at her.....it was the most shocking experience Ive ever had. Dont go here. If you sneeze on this pathetic excuse for an employee youll prolly be accused of rape.

What should have been a straightforward transaction turned into a nightmare of overcharging, unprofessionalism, and outright disrespect.Upon returning the truck promptly by 9:00 pm, I was shocked to discover that U-Haul had overcharged me. When I called to seek an explanation, I was met with appalling customer service. The representative first admitted to the overcharge and then proceeded to put me on hold for an astonishing 11 minutes.To my dismay, the situation escalated when the general manager intervened. Rather than addressing the issue at hand, she feigned ignorance and bombarded me with unnecessary questions. Despite having my information on file, she insisted on interrogating me repeatedly. Her condescending tone and refusal to listen to my concerns were utterly disrespectful.Furthermore, instead of acknowledging their mistake and rectifying it, the manager resorted to baseless accusations. She accused me of yelling, despite my calm demeanor throughout the conversation. This unprofessional behavior culminated in insinuations questioning my intelligence and thinly veiled racism.As someone who has experienced racism firsthand, I am appalled by the insidious tactics employed by U-Haul to avoid accountability. Their treatment of paying customers is disgraceful and reflects poorly on their company values.
