Comment: I came in before my appt time and didnt have to wait for my rental. Jesus (owner?) was friendly, thorough, and professional. I expected to pay about $30 total, I was only moving one bed and didnt really want to pay $30 to do it. When I checked the truck in, two hours later, he gave me a few discounts. I only paid $14. In todays economy, that was a nice break!

Comment: Availability is there, but the Owner/Worker has very poor customer service skills, maybe that is why there is so much availability, no one wants to rent from him? I dont know if its because he feels he owns the place and thinks he can speak to people how ever he feels, but a he has a very rude and condescending tone as well as poor choice of words. He had very poor communication skills, that doesnt allow someone to finish speaking, perhaps its because hes young and not very experienced. Still no excuse, we have all learned manners, but who chooses to use them goes a long way in life. Definitely wont he going back to this U-Haul for future moving needs!!

I feel like it a race thing why they didn’t give me the phone back sad you guys took this route. I pray and hope y’all reap what y’all sow. Pitiful pathetic you guys are. And what was so bad about it the phone had to do with one of our dead love one. That had the pictures and everything of them and we lost it all because of you guys.

Not only did I not get the location but I had to go opposite direction 15 miles out of my way. And my original time was 10 AM and I couldn’t pick my truck up until 1:45 PM, I had to move my movers around which cost me money and I had to pay for extra gas and no discounts or even available to me and when requested for a discount I was rejected I will never ever reserve another truck from U-Haul

Comment: We had an awful experience using U-boxes for moving. We will never do it again. We will only use U-Haul for small in town uses. We rented 10 U-boxes to move across the country. It took almost a month to get my stuff back. And then they were only able to deliver 6 of the 10. Suddenly 4 of them were “too heavy.” (They got here just fine!) On the inside of the U-box, it says max 2,000 lbs, ours was 1,700. The delivery person was also 4 hours later than stated. But I ended up having to rent a truck, unload my 4 U-boxes at their warehouse, load it on the truck, drive it to my house, and unload it AGAIN. This should never have happened.

However, I think the process is poorly designed because, as soon as I filled out the initial text area, the form was submitted before I could point out specific details. Thats why Im adding a review here.For the most part, the experience was good and the truck served its purpose. However, there are two items that I would like to highlight (and the reason for not giving out enough stars).1. The method to extract the truck key from the boxes is very archaic (padlocks with 4-digit keys that are probably old and rusty) since I spent... I dont know, 20-30 min trying to unlock it. The information and code from the app was right, but the device was simply very hard to unlock. Finally, a second employee, who arrived early, helped me unlatch it (before, a first employee told me that he didnt work in that area and just continue walking on his way to the workshop, apparently).2. The truck didnt have a ramp. Unfortunately, I realized it when I was already at home. I needed to move a refrigerator and the lack of a ramp was a factor that added a lot of difficulty and stress.Other than that, the rest of the trip was positive.

On pickup day I arrived at pickup time and manager Charles starts to check me in.Everything seems fine but then he asks for phone numbers to friends and/or family to rent the trailer. I told him sorry I cant give out phone numbers without their permission he says then I cant rent you a trailer.I said so, having my valid drivers license, address, credit card info, auto insurance and registration isnt sufficient? he says no. After giving him a made up number becuz he says he cant bypass it, he says so when I call them right now theyll answer I said no because its a made-up number.He repeats himself give family or friends number. He then starts typing and I ask if it will be printed on something that if I give someones number that they wont be harassed with calls or sold to third parties.He then says you are argumentative, I am not renting to you. Heres your cancelation, now leave.I was stunned. Took my cancelation paper and left. Seriously avoid this place.

Comment: Set up a reservation for a trailer online. Nothing online said a tow ball was required. Just a hitch, which I had. Once I showed up, was told that I would need a tow ball and they didnt have any to sell me. After going to purchase something, I was told that it wouldnt work and needed a raised hitch with tow ball. After getting that, I was told the tow ball was the wrong size and needed a bigger bolt for the raised hitch. Once I finally got all the correct pieces brought back, I needed assistance installing them. This location has advertising on their windows that they will install tow hitches on your vehicle. I was told they didnt have the proper tools to be able to tighten the ball to the hitch. So again I had to go somewhere else to take care of this. After jumping through all the hoops they then proceeded to tell me that the lights werent working on the trailer and I couldnt take it, but he checked my vehicle and saw nothing wrong there. Finally just took a refund and left. Highly recommend going anywhere else but here for your moving needs.

Comment: This is worst store I have ever seen, I rent a van its showed 1/4 gallons on paper so I trust it, but the van stopped when I drove couple miles, the gasoline out then I called friend delivery gasoline to me. I used more than one hour try to call the company but only computer respond me. I told all the thing when I returned van one guy said ok we give $30 gasoline deposit to you when next time you rent, but nothing happened when I rent next time. Then just look at me like thief .The day before yesterday I rent van again, its showed 4805 miles dashboard showed 4847, I take pictures and told them again, but they still charge me from 4805 miles, they play game, they steal money on this way!And more, the van was so dirty I told the employees, one guy just said okay have a beautiful day. Yes I have if you not doing so bad thing in the world!

When I try to call them, most of the time the phone doesnt even ring on my end and its just silence for 20 seconds and then I get hung up on. Once it actually answered with an automated message asking you to punch 1 or 2, etc. So I punched 2 and was holding for help and then a message comes on saying the approximate wait time is 15-20 minutes. No way am I holding for even 5 minutes for somebody to tell me if they have something in stock. If you want my $, take my call in less than 5 minutes or else Ill take my business somewhere else.

Just myself and my two children embarking on a risky journey during the COVA-19 epidemic and they made sure I was safe and secure. I had a hitch installed on a 2016 VW Tiguan and a trailer put on the next day. Not a single problem the entire way and we arrived safely. Comment: No system in place, they talk to whoever they want to talk to or whoever they see. The equipment return line was blocked and no courtesy of letting you know whats next, what to do. I dont care if the are short staff, not my problem but they to communicate. If they have a problem with that, they need to talk to their boss. Customer is customer. Get a number system or something. This place is worst than my dentist office. Sorry but one star is still too much for you guys. You guys deserve minus.

Comment: They were ridiculously slow. It took them 45 minutes to attach the trailer to my truck and I had my own hitch. They work on their time. I couldve done it faster. Horrible customer service and they dont seem to care. While I waited other customers seem to become very agitated with the employees. I will never use this location again. I advise no on else use it either.

Comment: Went in to deliver some used boxes after calling to see if they reused moving boxes, I was told they did and to bring them in broken down. I broke down the boxes, loaded them in my truck and took them down there. I went in to ask them if theyd take them and was told to put them in the bin as long as they fit. I was then told I could do this as long as they were not Home Depot boxes, I asked why that was the case and was told we had to slash our prices because of them. another customer in the store asked if Lowes boxes were ok and the guy said those were fine. He was arrogant and prevented me from providing a service to his customers and community, and the whole operation seemed pretty shoddy. Id recommend using a Neighborhood Dealer because Ive never had any problems with those.

Comment: Employee named Veronica was VERY RUDE for no apparent reason. Did not want to help with anything and made everything difficult. I tried to rent a trailer for a job I had to deliver and all she did was make me late. I will NEVER rent from U-Haul again!
