Comment: I set up a reservation for a truck a week and a half in advance for them to call me two days prior and tell me they can’t honor my pickup location. I’ll have to go to another location and pick the truck up there. When I asked if they could just drive the truck from the new secondary location to the first, I was told “[they] don’t provide that service.” It was like a Seinfeld bit. Why take the reservation if you have no intent on keeping the reservation? Anyone can take a reservation! The important part is holding the reservation.

Comment: These people were AMAZING! We moved from San Clemente to Denver. San Clemente location was not helpful and said they had a trailer for us at their location but the day before they told us the closest trailer was in Oceanside. I was hesitant coming off this entire experience but once we got to this uhaul establishment in Oceanside I was so happy we did business with them. They were able to upgrade us and give us extra days when we mentioned that there would be snow when we got into Denver. They were so friendly and accommodating. It was 100% worth making the drive from San Clemente to Oceanside to rent from them.

I’m happy to speak with uhaul about my experience. My main regrets are that i went to this uhaul rather than the one on coast hwy and that i didn’t leave right away. Comment: Booked 1-2 weeks in advance, they waited till the night before to say “We don’t have the 20’ truck, you can take this 10’ truck and make two trips or try Sunday for a 20’” When mind you I’m making an hr drive to my new place and have to be out the day I pick up the truck. They also didn’t bother looking for other trucks that were larger because I ended up finding a larger one at another store.

The new location is clean and well lit and is cheerful and friendly. They also have packing and shipping materials. It is a little hard to see from the street, know that it is in the Albertsons parking lot. The parking lot is big, clean and well lit.

Comment: I would recommend this UHaul to anyone looking for GREAT, polite and professional staff that would go out of their way for their customers.I locked on a 26ft truck for a one way move to Yuma,AZ. This facility called a driver that was due to return a truck at the same time. When they couldn’t reach him they drove an hour away to pick one for me, to ensure I had what they promised me, keeping in constant communication with me the entire time. When I showed up to pick up the truck the owner was moping out the back. Cleaning the interior, windows, etc. she could have sent me to another site... but didn’t.Long story, I know but I felt like I owed them the respect of a good review. This owner’s been doing great business like this for years, which explains why she’s still in business. Thanks again.

Comment: Pete went out of his way to make sure we got the 4×8 trailer that we needed. He even offered to drop the trailer off at our apartment because the uhaul in Escondido didnt have a 4×8 trailer. He didnt have to do that but he did. He also gave us a free 6th day of use for the inconvenience. He was on time, in fact he was early, he was nice, helpful, he answered our questions and walked us through hooking up the trailer to our vehicle. He checked to make sure all the safety requirements were good to go. 5 star customer service! Highly recommend these guys. I had no issues with the Escondido locations they just didnt have the trailer we needed and Pete at the Oceanside location hooked us up and made sure we were taken care of. He went above and beyond what we expected. Great customer service. Strong hand shake. That says it all for me.

This is the highest rated, best service dealer in Southern CA due to the incredible spirit of the owner Sharon. Eric Grushkins review is retaliation because he was put on the DO NOT RENT LIST posted on the wall by the counter. He made this list by being incredibly disrespectful to Sharon every time he rented...refusing to help this 54, 114 lb, 64 yr (young) lady hook up his trailer rentals including telling her he would not help her hook up a large trailer to his car while it was raining...and taking 20 boxes without paying for them when the office was empty briefly because the staff was delivering equipment to other customers in line ahead of him. He left an IOU because he was in a hurry. I encourage you to look his name up on Google...see what you find regarding lawsuits against him. And yes, the boyfriend told him he could no longer rent due to his behavior...a message Sharon agreed with and also delivered to him. BTW, the boyfriend is over 6 tall...Eric about 55...I think i understand his reference to high school insecurity.

I had a little hiccup, though... the electrical connection for the turn signal lights wasnt working despite our best efforts, so they brought out a tester to confirm there was a problem before selling me an adaptor to make it work.
