Comment: I rented a truck today and they delivered it to me without gas. When I told the employee, he told me to put gas in it, thats not my problem and when I deliver it, just deliver it anyway. Its stupid to know how much gas to put in to deliver it exactly empty. Terrible service. There is no ethics or seriousness in this business ranges but would like to return to this business

Comment: On 4/11 6:00pm We called U-Haul about renting a dolly. They told us the burbank location had them available. We got there at 6:30pm and they told us they “locked up the dollys for the day” and couldn’t help us. We called the hotline and they said there was no reason for U-Haul locations to be doing this.

Comment: Well, the guys are nice, but the cars are always delivered dirty and stinking of marijuana. I have told the manager several times and its always the same. I tell them that the company where I work rents cars there every weekend. If they could be kind enough to deliver them to us. clean cars since we are women who drive and we do not smoke or even cigarettes it is very terrible every time we pick up a car there today 12/18/22 I even vomited because of how stinky the car was could you please pay attention to that

Comment: Worst service for any work on a vehicle and worst call line.They seem to have absolutely no idea what is going on when it comes to any maintenance or work thats going to be done on a vehicle. 3 months ago I ordered a hit that I want to install in my truck. When I called to follow up on it no one seemed to have any idea what I was talking about. And everyone seemed to think that I had already spoken to somebody and set up an installation date. Now that my truck is dropped off, its been 5 days and I havent heard anything back from them. And I cannot get in touch with anybody in the store. For one the number keeps transferring into their call center because apparently theyre too busy to answer their calls. For two when you call them their menu doesnt present any options for anyone looking to follow up on a vehicle I was dropped off for work such as mine. Avoid this place for any work.

Comment: AWFUL experience. We reservered a Uhaul Van a week in advanced for 24/7 pickup. Got to the location and the website says that we have to wait until the morning for pickup. We get on the phone with a rep who tells us THIS LOCATION FAILED to put the keys for our van in the lockbox. There are no other vans in the area, and the only options for immediate pickup there were a truck or box truck...which is not what we reserved or paid for. Unfortunately we had to opt for the box truck which is not what we planned for and completely messed up our plans. This was purely the fault of the people working at this location, for failing to prepare and put our keys in the lockbox when needed.

He sat and spoke to one customer for over 15 minutes and I politely asked if there was anyone else to help check us out ans he was like I’m the only one here. I understand that, but to keep two paying customers waiting as you are answering prospective questions for someone who isn’t going to pay isn’t really the best way to handle business. Lost a sale!

Comment: DO NOT waste your time renting from U-Haul. Your reservation is NOT confirmed until two days before your desired pickup and the location changes. I asked to pickup in Burbank and when U-Haul called today Patricia let me know that I would have to pickup the truck in Canyon Country. She gave me an additional 50 miles for free so all seemed well until I called back and asked a question. I then spoke with Daniel who told me my rental was NOT confirmed and that I would have to pickup the truck in Tehachapi!!!! Do you know where Tehachapi is? I didnt until I googled and it is 1 hour and 42 minutes north of Burbank, ONE WAY!! I said Im not driving almost 4 hours to pickup a truck and his response was I will if I want the 15 foot truck I was promised. With only two days before the move I called Penske and like magic all is well and confirmed with NO HASSLE and Im picking the truck up in Burbank. Difference of $60 but guess whos not driving to Tehachapi! 5 Stars Penske!!!

Comment: I rented a 10-foot truck to move from San Jose to Burbank, California, and paid $520 for mileage and equipment. After returning the vehicle in 35 hours when I had 96 hours to keep it. The guy reversed the fuel credit that they gave me in San Jose location for no reason I knew of because I returned it at the exact level I picked up. They left me with the impression that they were doing to help, but when in fact, they charge me three times the price of the fuel at the end when I cant go in to pick up the truck to refuel it and return to them. I couldve pumped gas myself at a fraction of the price. Im familiar with these industries the deception not so much. The customer service gal Mackenzie argued for 15 minutes the contract said the truth, not the guy who handed the truck in San Jose. I let them take the money anyway, but there is a story to be heard for others to avoid this unsatisfying and disappointing story. Why did they bother giving a fuel credit in the first place anyway, so they take it away?

Comment: 4.5 StarsIve used this U-Haul location many times, they always have the vehicle I need. It helps to call in advance and reserve what you need to avoid complications. Even with people in line, they have the process down where youre not waiting too long to get or drop off.The vehicles have always been clean and well-maintained, no maintenance issues. The staff was great, and easy to work with. They run an honest business, I will continue to use them and recommend it.

Comment: This location and employees are by far the best experience I’ve had with U-Haul. Went it due to a poor hitch wiring done in another state and talked to Robert about it, recommended to follow up next day with Jonathan to resolve the situation. Contacted Jonathan and he confirmed they had the part I needed and got it fixed in no time without a hassle. Even sold me the bicycle they had on displayed which was a great deal! Can’t thank them enough and U-Haul needs to hire more people like them. Definitely was worth the drive.
