Comment: Everything was as good as it could be.The staff was courteous, the process extremely easy and quick, no hidden charges, and the vehicle was in terrific shape.Got an extension without any hassle, and returned it one day late without receiving any notice or harassing emails.Price was fair, as well. The daily charge was a great deal---the mileage charge is fairly steep with these brand new Silverados, but I will still use Uhaul next time, anyway, even if I have to do a lot of driving.Cannot get better than that.I would even consider Uhaul as a means of renting a vehicle if I have car problems, because the service was so much better than car renters, who are incredibly dishonest in comparison, and make the process much more complicated.Thank you, UHaul.I dont get to write reviews like this one too often.Outstanding.

Comment: Customer service sucked machine robot operated phone service. The center does not answer. Their drop off website was horrible didnt work. I was charged an extra day because of that even though I dropped off the car. But because their website app shuts down or stops worki g after whatever hours horrible.

Comment: I opted to do mobile pick up and it was an extremely simple process. The original vehicle was dirty and the gas tank was on empty so the service representative upgraded our reservation to a larger size cargo van. I thought was a very admirable action to take. I had to extend the rental an extra day which was simple and painless. All-in-all it was a pleasant experience.

Comment: The only thing we liked was the help we got from the Torrance location. In Apple Valley, the lady was yelling and very rude. Wasnt very helpful. Would never recommend help from her, whatsoever. If she doesnt know how to talk to people or how to help, she is in the wrong field of customer service. But we will always appreciate and recommend the Torrance location on Carson Street in Torrance.

Comment: Worst service on the PLANET.I walked in to buy boxes around 8:30 a.m. and didnt get out of there until 9:20 a.m.The sloppy manager decided that despite the fact there were SIX customers in queue she would be outside chatting.I stood there for a good 7 minutes before I went outside and asked her was she calling for backup or was she coming in to help us.After a few minutes she rolled in and began assisting customers.Then another employee finally showed up.I left out of there totally upset and she never issued an apology for the unnecessary long wait.

Comment: I would rate this location as Excellent except they were understaffed the day I picked up an auto transport trailer. In spite of being way understaffed, the two employees who were working did everything they possibly could to make sure that I and other customers got the best possible service. There was some kind of glitch in my reservation (caused by whatever scheduling service they used) but the woman working with me (her name starts with H) quickly straightened out the problem and I was hooked up and on the road in a reasonable amount of time. I also heard the other employee helping another customer and making sure they had what they needed, in spite of trucks not being returned to the facility on time, causing them to do some scrambling to make sure customers were taken care of. I will absolutely use this U-haul location for my future truck/trailer needs.

Comment: The the two women working Carson and Western in Torrance were the rudest people I ever encountered. Every part of this move was seemless especially the self pick up feature, it was great. The women working the counter from 1-2 pm today did not greet us they continued a personal conversation and refused us service. I am very disappointed.

Somehow, the rules changed today where I was told to park my car on the street or in a neighboring supermarket parking lot after paying to rent a truck. First they lied and said they dont have propane there then they lied and said every has to be out of the rv for propane and that it was law...waste of time. NEVER COMING HERE AND I HOPE THIS PLACE CLOSES. the uhal on pch is awesome by the way with the fastest and a professional staff as well.

Comment: Review is for entire U-Haul rental experience more than just one location but this is the location that ultimately did not have my rental and did not notify me of any change. Overall, scheduling a trailer hitch installation and trailer rental was a logistical nightmare. Can’t even count the number of times I had to wait on hold for 25-40 min to speak with someone, manager said they’d call back and never did, was told a location had one piece of the hitch and not the others so installation there was not possible and no alternatives were offered, etc. I was understanding of all this however when I finally arrived to pick up my trailer rental at the confirmed location and time they said, due to the customer returning to another U-Haul location, the trailer was not there. The price was also ~$100 more expensive than confirmed over the phone. A call to notify me of the change in location would have saved time, but not surprised due to the lack of organization in this company overall.

Comment: Busy morning when I came because it was the 2nd of the month and Friday. Long line. But I came here only for propane tank refill. The girl at the counter was friendly (I didn’t know how refilling propane worked, so I waited in line), and Jeffrey was also very nice. Paid using CC outside. But I was told that if you want to pay in cash, you have do so inside. It didn’t take long to fill it up. I definitely recommend this place for refilling your propane tank.

Comment: August 19, 2020. I visited this store asking for basic information. Employee Barry stepped in with his input that proved to be irrelevant. Barry claimed I was yelling and expressed anger when I responded with a more correct version of the equipment I was interested in renting from Uhaul. I do recall a employee named Israel whom Ive dealt with in the past. Israel was pleasant and exhibited people skills. Barry does not exhibit people skills and this is the reason I will take my business to Penske rental. Note Barrys regard for the present Covid 19 pandemic. His mask doesnt cover his nose. Enough said.

Everyone, from Reuben to Jenny, maintained the best customer service I have seen from any establishment in the area. They were consistently patient, professional, and accommodating. I really appreciated when Reuben helped me locate another Ubox when there were no more left at the location. They all deserve the best life has to offer.

Comment: Please, please, please, do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment. I simply wanted to utilize the air station for my bicycle. In the past, Ive repeatedly asked for permission yet each time It seemed like I was being silly for inquiring. So, with this in mind, I simply went right to the air pump. A gentleman immediately walked up to me and said, Cease what you are doing. This is not a gas station. In retort, I explained my previous encounters which seemed to fall on deaf in not dumb ears?!?! So after such a rude interaction, I went in to file a complaint but was informed that the rude individual in which I was complaining about was in fact the manager. So, as a last ditch effort to be the better of the two, I offered to pay a few dollars for the use of the air. The manager coldly replied as if I was asking for his first born, No. In defeat, I said, thank you, yet he remained silent and distant.I dont believe anyone should be treated as such especially as a customer. Also, not everyone who rides a bike is necessarily homeless. We might just be trying to offset the carbon dioxide imbalance! (Not that our socio-economic status should make a difference, anyways!)

Comment: Seldomly do I give an establishment 5 stars, but I have to say that the young lady that runs this place did a superb job getting me in and getting me out. I was caught with an emergency and needed a truck asap. I came in and she was in the vehicle parking area and she stated, How can I help you? I guess she saw my rush. I told her what I needed and she stated, we dont have anything available in that size, so I was disappointed. I guess she saw it in my face, as I turned and walked away, she yelled, Hold on, I think I have something that just came in. I said I will take it. I was in and out of there in less than 15 minutes, with her help. I got the vehicle back and thanked her for her great service and attitude.

Comment: $560 charge for a 10 ft box truck and tow dolly from friendly Roseburg Oregon to Torrance 805 miles. Returning my equipment this morning was fast and easy but was not given credit for accidentally putting in too much gasoline. The young lady Krystal was unfriendly. The main thing is to be fair. That goes for both Blacks and Whites. When the Declaration of Independence proclaims all men to be created equal, it means that all human beings, regardless of religion, sex, or skin color, possess the same natural rights. The founders were well aware that different people are unequal in physical and mental capacities.

Comment: Set my Trip as I left the U haul office and it clocked up 33 miles. When checked by very brusk young man on my return I was charged for over 100. Was advised the van had probably been driven without me knowing, this is too ridiculous to comment on.So the van that starts out at $19.99 per day for two days was $187.00 A long way from the 19 bucks! Beware, check your odometer and forget the prices quoted on the side of the trucks.
