Stopped in for lunch. Sat in bar area. Waited for 15 minutes at the table without a single employee asking if we had been helped. Tried to grab their attention, but got ignored. Maybe we sat in the wrong place? If so, tell me. Got up and left. I’d believe short staffing, but almost every front of house staff member had their face buried in their phone. Disappointing.
It is unlike myself to submit reviews but I found it appropriate to place a review with my most recent experience at the local Caledonia Uccellos. I have been going to this restaurant for as long as I can remember and have always been a satisfied costumer. This past year, 2021, I had finally reached adulthood by turning “21”! It was very unfortunate that this past visit myself and another were falsely accused of illegal drinking. I was struck by this as it was claimed by multiple employees minus our( group of friends) wonderful waitress, who was very understanding with the situation and checked/approved my ID legal. I have indeed drank alcohol at this restaurant before and this was the first time with issues. I have spoken to the manager as they were doing their job and obeying policies of such assumptions. I was informed with unfortunate news that with these accusation I and another have been restrained from drinking there for the safety of Uccellos policy. We were allowed to finish the beverage, but there was no privilege to have another. Beyond the beverage, with justification of my identity and rights, I want to share this as it was very uncomfortable and unprofessional how I couldn’t prove my age with my legal ID. I hope this is helpful for future and past costumers who may/have experience similar situations. We mean much respect for the staff and business, and don’t want any complications. In absolute sincerity, we hope to come back to Uccelos and have more satisfying and fun experiences outside this one.
I made a reservation for my ladies golf league banquet, 22 of us! We were given a GREAT room to do this. Hank was our server and was AWESOME!!!! We all placed our orders and were served within a half hour! The food was excellent and we all had a terrific time. Jeremy, the manager, poked his head in a few times to make sure everything was good. It was GREAT!
$15 salad ($5 for chicken) and a 40 minute wait....salad was ok but a couple slices of chicken and the wait for a salad was frustratingUpdate: got a response from Uccellos saying to contact marketing regarding pricing, not addressing other concerns. To clarify, $15 for a salad would be fine if there was actually more chicken than my kids get in a happy meal. Also, the wait for a salad...thats something Uccellos should address with their staff
The food was awesome as always . Wasnt very happy with our server. Had to flag her down to get a refill on drinks. Then she dropped the bill w/out asking if we wanted dessert. So had to flag her down again and ask for dessert took it to go because by this time we had been sitting and ready to leave. When I got home the tiramasu was all slopped in there and the portion on the Strawberry shortcake was half of what it usually is. Dont know how soon we will be going there again.
Stellar! We have had the pleasure of being on the receiving end of the exceptional service and dining on the delicious food at Uccellos on many occasions. Most recently, we hosted an after work mixer, and Uccellos came through yet again. Our two servers were Lauren and Ericka. They both went above and beyond with never-ending smiles! Our guests received the best all the way around. We highly recommend Uccellos!
We ordered through Doordash with about an hour expected delivery time. Our dasher was waiting for a good amount of time before the staff finally told him the take out person forgot to send the ticket to the kitchen to make the food. He assumed they would expedite our order to fix their mistake but no. We ordered at about 7:15 and our dasher was finally able to get the food and drop it off at 9:20. Nothing difficult some pasta and a burger. We only live 5 minutes from Ucellos so it was all wait time. You could tell some food sat while the other was cooked. Some of our order was stone cold while some was hot. They never even offered anything to the dasher or us. This is not the first time we have had an issue with delayed take out from this location. The last time we picked it up ourselves. We figured we would give them another shot but that was a horrible idea. Never again.
Place was busy when we arrived. We were seated outside with little wait. Our server was Jaden, and she was fantastic. Hard to find good people like that to help run the business these days. Excellent service, I am never disappointed with Uccellos. Looking forward to the next visit.
Great big sub sandwich was delicious. Staff was busy and made every effort to be attentive. Was there for lunch and took only 10 minutes from the time I ordered to delivery and enjoyment of my lunch. I have been a long time patron and will continue to be. Great work Uccellos!!!
Whatever you do, do not purchase anything To-go. I’ve made several to-go purchases and I’ve been disappointed every time. The last two orders (on separate occasions), I ordered the ‘Crispy Chicken Salad’ for $11.99. The first time, I was livid. The amount of chicken was a joke. The salad itself was the portion of a house salad. Tomatoes? 2 little half slices.I thought it was an anomaly, so I ordered again. Nope. Same thing. The first time I tried to ‘understand’ and thought to myself ‘well, because of COVID and everything being take out only, they are clearly cutting corners (at long time customers expense). This last time, their parking lot is jammed and they are basically fully functioning and they are still charging for full size salads and only providing house salad portions. As for the customer service? Rude (in the to-go area) and understaffed in the restaurant. If you get frustrated at the long wait times for service in the restaurant - they don’t care. They still expect you to tip as generous as you always do and if not (tips are based on quality of service; my standard is 20% - better quality, 30-40%. That said, I’m not afraid to leave 15% if so deserved to get my point across the servers was THAT Bad) , expect hell the next time you come in. That’s why I’m no longer a regular. It has been a totally waste of money and several different occasions with to-go. The ONLY reason I ‘try’ again is because of their hours. Big mistake. I won’t waste my time or money every again.I also use to be an almost daily regular indoors. Staffing is ALWAYS understaffed. When you wait 45 minutes for a SALAD at LUNCH time, you know there is a problem. The only reason I was a regular was for the regular customers (who are hilarious) not because of the customer service. Avoid the bar at all costs. Unless you are MAN tipping ridiculous amounts of money - if you are a female regular, you are last on their list.I’ll never spend a dime here again and I have spent a TON of money since 2012.
Superb service and food! We ordered on NYE and expected a wait. I was extremely surprised that our meal was ready in 40 minutes for pickup! They were extremely busy as I watched dozens of cars coming and going while I waited for my order to be ready (I had arrived early). We ordered 2 Stromboli, pizza puffs, and cheese breadsticks. All were amazing!!
I have been going here for years and know many of the staff, however a recent experience by both my wife and a good friend leave me not wanting to spend my hard earned money at this establishment. When my friend whose teenage son has a Dr. note due to his asthma gets told by a teeny bopper hostess that he either wears a mask or does not get service then the management is ridiculous and does not deserve be my business. Good luck.
Our group had a very positive experience at Uccellos tonight. Having extensive experience in food service myself, I was very pleased with our server, Chris. He accommodated all special requests and created a relaxed and fun experience. Will definitely return. The industry needs more people like Chris.
We frequent this location weekly and consistently have slow service. We are usually there before 5 pm and order 2 children’s pasta meals and 2 salads. When we arrive, there are typically 3-5 other tables with servers standing around. We are on a time restraint and need to be out in an hour. Our food usually comes out after 40 min. The items we order need very little cook time and we are constantly frustrated. We enjoy the food here a lot. But the time to eat is always lengthy and not conducive to our schedule. We try each week for a different outcome, but it always ends up the same. We are loyal patrons but feel we might look elsewhere for our Wednesday night dinner date.
Had this 2 days ago and got the spinach artichoke dip and the chicken parmigiana and was disappointed with the quality. I could at least power through the stiff layer of cheese on the dip and the artichoke was tasty underneath. The chips and pita were good to dip with it. That wasnt the problem. It was the parmigiana 🤮. Lacked flavor, especially the marinara noodles. Were these frozen and heated up? How is this on the menu? Wont order that again. Definitely a mistake. I just threw $50 of food away.
Been here several times the past couple of months as I was working in the area. stopped in for the lunchtime Buffet, by far a great deal with great food and good selections. It seems like every time I go theres a different pasta of some sort. Very good price Sat in the bar Sports Lounge area TVs sounds were at a good level to where I could still talk with my coworker i was with and not have to scream, Or watch his lips and try to figure out the words. Waitress was nice and friendly, I dont think our drinks ever ran out. It did take a little bit on one visit to get our check, but I think she was trying to wrap up a large party. So no big deal. Will definitely go back to this location for the lunchtime Buffet if Im in the area. Have been to the Grandville location quite a few times as its closer to home. I dont think Ive ever done their lunch buffet, but I did do the Easter buffet one time. And we were like the last appointment. So most of the food was not up to par. But live and learn. And also it seems like the Grandville location keeps there. Sports Lounge TVs a lot louder for where you cant talk to each other. Which is why I definitely like going to the Caledonia location more.
Ordered a chicken parmigiana and some wings, after waiting an extra 10-15 minutes received a luke warm burnt entree and cold fries. The lady that took our order was fantastic so friendly and helpful, manager didn’t seem to really care or wish to help. Not to be a Karen but this was the fifth time food was late, improperly cooked, and the wrong temperature. Sadly do not recommend.
Food was great. The red sauce was sweet and amongst the best Ive had. The Stromboli was sizable with no skimping on the fillings Service was lacklust. Wanna say the busboy who refilled our drinks and brought us our food did more than our waiter. Which is why he received a much more generous tip than the waiter.
Uccellos has always been our favorite local Italian place. Tonight we had take-out and it was just as delicious as being in the restaurant! We want to thank everyone that was behind the counter, in the kitchen and all of the employees doing curbside delivery! You all Rock!!!!!
I love Uccellos. They have great happy hour & daily specials. The food is good & service has always been up to par. I didnt rate it 5 stars because Ive seen some things here lately that are disappointing. I noticed a lot of fruit flies and wasnt even sitting that close to the bar area, where I assume they are coming from. And the portions were tiny! It was $13 for less than a regular sized bowl of penne with tomatoe cream sauce. You definitely get more for an $8 bowl at noodles & co. And we got maybe 6 fries with the burger.
It was very very busy on a Friday night. To be expected. My burrito was not as good as usual. Flavor seemed changed. That was one of my favorite menu foods. Not sure Ill try it again. Serving drinks seemed to be highest priority over dinner folks. I give great tips when served well. However like I said. It was very busy.
Well first of all this is the only restaurant down the streetOnly go there for drinks and pizza . usually get alot of toppings on the pizza .......but after the reopening prices are more and you get less witch I dont mine paying more for but I want my moneys worth, ordered double mushroom on my pizza and maybe got less the just single mushroom ... drinks werent made right extra extra..... just disappointed 😞
I have a child with a doctors note that he doesnt tolerate masks. The front girls told me they dont have to follow that note because its private property. I then commented that they must know better than my sons doctor and one of the hostesses answered, we do!. Our family wont be returning.
Here for a work outing. The food was fantastic. Buffet style, pasta, salad, bread sticks, 4 kinds of pizza and some roasted chicken breast with cheese, tomatoes and balsamic vinegar. They have an amazing selection of beers on tap and in bottles. All of the staff were wonderful but our assigned server was Anna and she was great.
Im not much of a sports guy, but Uccellos still has a nice, relaxed atmosphere perfect for watching the game with the guys after work on a Friday night. Along with that, its a good place to grab a pizza with your family. The servers are very kind and the service is good. They were a bit slow when we went, though it was a Friday night during Christmas vacation, and most of the seats were full. Even so, they made one of the appetizers free of charge, which was a nice surprise. Furthermore, the pizza we ordered arrived on schedule, and was delicious. The crust was light and the toppings were great. It was a good experience overall, and I would love to visit again.
This place is a gem! The italian fare is delicious. I get the margherita dip with extra flat bread as an appetizer almost every time I go and I suggest you do as well. The wait staff are generally friendly and helpful. My only lament is that there is no where to have a quiet dinner inside. One of the primary functions of Ucellos is as a sports bar. I can normally put that aside because the food is awesome but, when Im having a date night with my wife, it is very distracting to have TVs on the wall everywhere. This local restaurant chain deserves your patronage and you will be very happy you did.
The food was good. Food service extremely slow. This was my first time ever coming here. Much better options out here for the same price or less. Might comeback but isnt a must comeback. Was expecting to be blown away from people other reviews but honestly disappointed. Also everyone at the table ordered something that was suppose to come with the Bread Service but we didnt even get that. Also when I mean slow from the time we ordered to time food was delivered it was an hour and 10 minutes.
Great service, great food, and most of all, great environment for watching a game or getting dinner with your family. My son and I had Hailey Calver as a waitress, she was the best waitress that weve ever had! Was on top of refills and anything that we needed. We will definitely go back, and will be requesting to have her again!
Solid place to go for a drink and catch a game. Casual setting, can be too loud at times, but it’s a sports bar so can’t complain too much. Beer prices are fair enough. Decent selection, but would like to see more craft beer selection. Don’t order a frozen margarita, wasn’t really frozen only had more ice than one that was on the rocks.Pizza there is great, especially on Monday when they have it on special. Huge menu, but in my experience do not venture far from the Italian food or burgers as they are the most consistent in terms of quality.Service is usually great, can feel slow if kitchen is overwhelmed (major game days), this can be resolved by training servers to check in on their tables more frequently other than to take order and run food.Overall probably the best sit down place to eat in Caledonia.
We were sitting close to the kitchen. Way to noisy for us. Screaming kids which was of course the parents fault. Husband got the lasagna. He said it was good but would have liked a salad or something for the $14.99 price. I had the meatball sub. It was good and so were the chips.
Awe no! Management is so bad along with our stupid waitress. If you get a blonde with pony tail run as fast as you can......her name is falom 739 , mean as she can be, she dumped our water all over. Yikes. Wake up Uccelos, you need new management and wait staff,. Do not bother with Uccelos app, what a waste of time. Why do you print off a coupon for some where else? Un called for.Returned visit asked not to sit in falcon area, 👍
The food was good as always. The service on the other hand was very bland and canned. We waited more than the normal time for each encounter. Waited for drinks. Waited for appeti8. Waited for the meal. Waited for the check. As I said we eat out and know good friendly service in a timely manner and this was not it. The fact that they were setting up a room for a party m may have had something to do with it. Not my problem. The doors are open for service so thats what I expect. Very disappointed this time.
I ordered a meal for Mother’s Day they said it would take 45 minutes to prepare. I showed up after 45 minutes paid they said it wasn’t ready yet and they’d bring it out to me. Which understood that they were busy and it’d take a some extra time, after waiting in my truck for an hour I went back in and it still was ready. They said they’d text me when it’s ready. I waited another hour and finally went back in and she told she didn’t know when it would done and refund my money. So a waste of almost 3 hours. Worst service I’ve ever had.
Best bar in Caledonia, but not much competition. Always friendly servers, and attentive bartenders. Decent selection of local beers on tap. Huge projection screens and dozens of TVs make sports easy to watch. Can get busy during big sporting events, but its a very fun atmosphere to watch a game and get some good food and drinks. Known around town for the lunch buffet, although Ive never tried it personally. Daily specials on certain items, happy hour food and drinks, overall a great place.
This was my third or so time at this location. Ive always had good food but the service has always been sup par. This particular night we came with a group of 5. My friends ordered pizza puffs and boneless wings, fiance ordered pasta, and I a pizza. The food took a while, despite the unusual slowness of the restraunt. When it finally came there was no pizza and the wings were bone in. We informed the waitress and she ordered the right wings. The pizza came about 5 minutes later and was great. The boneless wings took another 25 minutes! The manager said he was going to take care of it but only comped half the price of the wings. After another 5-10 minutes it was finally figured out.
Had the lunch buffet with a friend. Wish the food was displayed more impressively. Also wish they would have had marinara or ranch out on the buffet for bread sticks. Our waiter was awesome, until we needed the bill - Ended up being late back to work because he just ended up never coming back to our table for 20 minutes. One experience cant break a review. They were pretty busy - Maybe next time Ill make sure to be clear how quick I need to get going. Great lunch buffet overall.
Ordered takeout via the MobileBytes app. The order was ready in 35 minutes, and had my name printed on the receipt, but when I got home, I opened the containers to find two orders of lasagna, which is not what my wife and I had ordered. Not willing to drive back and waste another half-hour, we ate the lasagna, which was good. I feel bad for the other customer who got my penne with alfredo sauce.
Good but typical sports bar. Somewhat pole barnish in atmosphere but tons of big screens. Food is decent but not memorable. Servers are nice but often dim. Taps are decent but nothing special. Mix drinks are typical mechanical pour. The word okay is a pretty good descriptor.
My wife and I have been eating here for years. The server, Mike was great but the meal was the worst we have ever had there. Iam not sure if we will be going back there. THE Burritos we both ordered were sub standard. We sent the first order back, and were told that we would get new ones that would be done correctly. The 2nd order was no better then the first. $26.oo is alot to pay for a bad meal.
We go to this location frequently after church. The buffet is a little pricey but they offer everything from breakfast to pizza to full dinner options and delicious mini desserts. The salad section should be larger as is runs out and takes a while to get replenished. Which is frustrating when Im asking my kids to have salad before they have certain foods. The staff is always friendly and accommodating.
Sitting on my table right now and regretting that I ever laid foot in here. The food is more than disgusting! Very poor service. We were the only table our waitress had, did not refill drinks, didnt bring napkins or anything. . just sat in a corner with friends. We have 2 young girls and imagine even Cheese pizza was stuffed with huge pieces onions.. so we left hungry and still paid 35$ for nothing. They did not do discount or nothing!!!
Visited for both lunch and dinner. Lunch buffet is impressive with lots of options. Overall menu is nicely well rounded...great pizza and pasta, but also nice sandwich options. Full bar, lounge has sports on multiple big screens, restaurant area is more quiet and conducive to conversation.
Uccellos is always a good stop. The half price pasta on Mondays is excellent, plenty of pasta/sauce combinations to choose between. Good choices of craft and standard beers. Separate dinning and sports bar like dinning areas. Staff is attentive and pleasant. My family and I have and will continue to return.
Margarita dip. That’s all you need to know! LOLPizzas are really great too. If you like the open sports bar feel, you can that here. Need to reserve a room for a group? Got that too. Very business friendly in terms of accommodating corporate accounts. Take out station is very efficient.
I used Uccellos takeout for the first time and was beyond impressed with the customer service from ALL staff members I encountered. Everyone was pleasant, friendly, professional and accommodating. I am very impressed and will certainly be back to try a few new menu items. Food was great also.
I give Uccello’s 4.5 stars. I would give them 5 but they recently changed their menu to where your salad is no longer included with your entree. This is not good. They also have less choices on the menu as well. Over all, they do have the best Chicken Parmigiana hands down. The Caledonia branch is the best location, it seems to have the best service and always seems packed.
A great place to eat for a fancy dinner. While the menu options can be quite pricey it is always worth it for the great food and service. You can see a tv from nearly everywhere in the restaurant and there is trivia for adults. Along with a bar in the center, Uccello’s Ristorante is a great place to bring the family or spouse.
First visit. Their buffet was well done. The line items were on the buffet table, but I elected to locate the ham and roast beef carving table. The chicken was prepared with a fine dusting and baked to a juicy bite. Their chilli was okay, as well as, the chowder. Overall a good experience.****
Their food is consistently good. My family eats food from here several times per month. My wife raves about their pizza sauce, I like their meat lasagna, and their parking lot is often nearly full. Occasionally their carryout area gets seriously backed up, usually on Friday or Saturday nights, especially when there is a game on.
OK appetizer. Wife had to reorder salad that was prepared wrong. My soup was cold and so I asked to have it warmed - a colder soup was brought to our table. Finally, I gave up on the soup and sat and watched my wife eat her OK salad. Dont know about this place. If you are going to charge moderate to high prices, make sure your quality matches. The server was good. Soda was a bit warm and not very carbonated. All-in-all a bit of an embarrassment for us and our out of town guests.
Very disappointed. We were there for a sports function. Waited 35 min to get my bill for one drink. Asked three different people including the carry out counter. I even walked into the kitchen. This caused our family to be late for another function. Past experiences have not been good as we also waited an hour for food before. Wouldn’t go out of my way to choose them with so many other restaurants available.
Raised their prices and cut their portions. Spinach artichoke dip was $7.99 and is now $10.99. The Taste of Italy used to be a huge plate full of food and now it’s $20 for a small chicken breast, a little bowl of lasagne, and a scoop of fettuccine. Used to be a great place with value but not anymore. We won’t be back.
We have been to this Uccellos many times because my mother lives in Caledonia, and we inGR. Most times everything has been fine, however, tonight (Valentines Day) we were thereand asked for a quiet spot to have dinner with our mothers who are both 85yrs plus and hearing isan issue, and they did. However, shortly after we ordered, they set up for a group over 40, with half being youth hockey players, who sat at one end of their tables, about 20 kids with no supervision at all!! I understand this was not a reservation, so they were blind sided, my biggest complaint was thatthey sat this group in the quietest place in the restaurant, which arent many, not giving anyconsideration to the tables around them. There was no one in the take out eating area, whichwould have easily accommodated this group. Or at least ask the ones all ready seated in thisarea if they would like to move to another area. Unfortunately we didnt say anything, so I takesome responsibility for our lousy Valentines Day evening, but once the group came our servicewas terrible and we left without even finishing our meals. On the way out we did make a complaintand I got the impression they really didnt care and we were annoying them. The staff did a very poor job, and we learned we should never go there on a holiday!!!! Well definitely think twice before going back, but I believe they wont care as long as they can cater to these big groups!
Its pretty hard to go wrong with this place just like the East Beltline location. The menu is BIG and everything on it is quite good. Margarita Dip from the appetizer menu is delicious (pay $1 more for the extra flat bread). Sicilian wrap and flat breads are great for lunch. Burritos are big and you cannot go wrong with their pastas, especially the sausage cream sauce. Oh yeah, and the Signature Uccello pizza is in my opinion one of the best pies with West Michigan. Now if only they would bring their onion rings back...U-Rings perhaps?
Ordered takeout bean burrito. Opened at home and the lettuce was rotten. It appeared to have been premade in a container with chopped tomato. Even I know you cant store these two together! So since they apparently forgot to add the cheese, I paid way too much for a tortilla, some beans, and some sauce.
I just did curbside pickup and it worked well. Ordered online, selected time, paid and on my way they texted to say order is ready. I called when I arrived and they brought it to me in 2 minutes. Ordered chicken scallopini and chicken parmesan. It was delicious and relatively safe. The girl wore a mask and I did too.
Uccellos started as a fairly priced, family friendly sports bar here. Not anymore - they play stupid bar games (extra loud), the general manager is so full of himself, he doesnt take advice but refutes customers complaints by telling them they are wrong. We go once a year and it confirms that we are correct. Anyone wishing to compete in Caledonia just has to be nice, friendly and serve decent food - they would go out of business!
Had Mothers Day dinner here. Ordered deluxe deep dish pizza. The pizza was bland, and didnt notice sauce, like im not sure it had sauce. Was like eating bread. The sausage didnt have any flavor. Im sure ive had better frozen pizza. We ordered side salads and unfortunately all our food came out within minutes of each other, really, i thought that only happened at Applebees. We did not get plates, so we used our salad bowls. They werent that busy, it was after the buffet rush. We got a box to take home rest of pizza but it was so forgettable we left it there. We got to our car and realized no one grabbed rhe box, no one cared about the trouble of going back. No one spoke to us on our way out, no bye, thanks, or anything. Its like the waitress must have known it wasnt good, although she didnt ask how it was tastingTip of the day:We have ordered pizza at the Salvinos and it definitely was so much better there.
Went out with our immediate family only which is 7 people but not allowed to sit together...not their fault just seems odd that we can live together but not allowed to eat together...6 is fine but not 7...come on...rise up and put a stop with these non- sensical standards rules regulations whatever just seems odd...food was great.service was great also...i know its not their fault but come on people....
Having a gift card from great friends gave us a reason to drive out here, the host and waitress approached us kindly and politely and our pizza we ordered was very good . We did have to ask for a 2nd cup of coffee and on a personal note the noise level was way to high plus the music and conversations blended in together to be more irritating then Pleasant making it hard to hold a conversation.
Came from out of town to eat here with my friends that live here. We ordered food and drinks and was asked for my I.D upon ordering an alcoholic beverage. After being carded the waitress came back and double checked our I.D. Our servers name is Arianna. I had no issue with them double checking until after the 2nd check the manager came to our table and Took our I.Ds and TRIPLE checked our I.Ds. They gave us an attitude as to why we were questioning the legitimacy of our I.D. I suggested that they buy a scanner to validate I.D instead of Interrupting our get together. The General manager named “Jeff” he wasn’t wearing a name tag and was incredibly disrespectful and rude and brought in other restaurant patrons to chime in and disrespect our group. This was totally embarrassing. I will NEVER come here again.
Uccellos did a FANTASTIC job hosting our antique car club for our fall color tour. With their buffet, they had over 70 of our club members in and out of there and on to our next destination in an hour. The salad, pizza and pasta was excellent, and Leslie and her staff were very friendly and helpful. I cant think of anything they could have done better. If you need to feed a big crowd quickly, and with good food- check them out. Thanks a bunch!
I have gone to this Uccellos multiple times as I live in the area. My recent encounters with their servers have been very poor. The most recent occasion was last Friday evening for dinner and our server was Aesiah. She was very short with us from the start. I ordered pasta and automatically gave her my salad dressing choice because it has always came with pasta no matter where you go, as well as previously at Uccellos. That has now changed and they charge an extra $2, yet kept their pasta prices the same. Our server didnt let me know that it would be extra. Two other guests at my table ordered burritos, one beef and one chicken, and they had specific toppings on them. They were brought out and given to the wrong people. The toppings got switched onto the wrong burritos and they were given to the wrong guests, so they didnt notice until they started eating them. Then we got our bill. The server charged for my 5 and 6 year olds drinks even though they come with their kids meals, as well as my new salad charge and had a major attitude when I asked her to fix it. Then another bill at my table had two chicken charges for $4 each on her alfredo, even though she simply asked to add chicken to her pasta, not double chicken. We inquired about why she was charged $8 for chicken on pasta and again, given a lot of attitude from our server. She said I dont know why, did you get extra chicken?! Well she should know because we ordered from her. And then she continued to blame us for there being two charges until she finally went to take it off. She then came back and explained that for a Full Order of pasta they have to add 2 chickens, so it costs $8?? That is not on the menu anywhere. Nickel and diming as well as poor service. We will not go back.
With out a doubt wont be back. It was 20 minutes before our server even got to us, her rebuttal was oh ,we are short staffed , Im not even sure youre my table..... we ordered drinks , they threw on a 20 dollar cup charge for their Kentucky mule on the bill. When asked why , the server replied just in case it walks out the doorAll Ill say is this check your receipts before paying folks. I hope you guys read this too !
Friendly staff, great food, large groups welcome call for availability. Lots of beer, wine, and liquor. Keno, big bar, big dinning area. A little dark inside, outdoor seating for summer. Good parking. Busy most of the time, there arnt many restaurants in Caledonia, its a popular spot for all ages. Staff is mostly younger but good and polite
They havent disappointed me yet. They bartered with us on their copper cups they provide for moscow mules when we asked if we could buy them. This was after they informed us on how the cups get stolen all the time when they saw the fruit wedge from both of the drinks in just one cup. Im not sure if that counts as paranoid or just proactive, but kudos to them, I suppose! They were nice about it! They also have the peach bellini wine I love so much! Yum♥
Not a safe place to dine during the pandemic as the wait staff are trying to find ways around wearing face masks. They have replaced their face masks with lower face shields that do not protect the customers. After seeing this my family and I left and ate dinner an Fricanos where all the staff wore face masks. If Uccellos is looking for work arounds to the face masks what else are they trying to work around and what other corners are they cutting that we cant see? Ill take my family & my business somewhere that puts safety first. As a Registered Nurse I know all too well the difficulties of wearing a face mask for long periods of time, but I would never cut corners when taking care of someone or try to find work arounds. A face shield does not provide the same level of safety as a face mask which brings me to wonder if restaurant employees wearing face shields is even legal right now.

2022-01-29For beer 5stars. Food 4 star. Great place, amazing service and welcome. Beautiful smile and serving. But felt so uncomfortable to peeing. No wall. Easing can see each other’s private area. Sorry but needs to be modified.

2022-03-26It was absolutely hands down the best pizza Ive ever eaten before, with Very reasonable prices. I went here for my birthday, And man, was I surprised when our waitress brought me my birthday dessert, a Strawberry shortcake, with vanilla ice cream and A ton of Whip cream and, to top it off, a cherry on top. She served it to me warm oh my, I love this place!

2022-06-04This Uccellos location is a fun spot for laid back gatherings. Dining area can be a little loud. The service is smiling and present, and they do aim to please! Food comes out hot and usually delicious, the drinks are cold and not too skimpy. Most recently I was here with a large group, 8 of us, and our server visited often, and our food came out faster than I expected. However, 1 persons pizza had been dropped and had to be remade. That took about 5 minutes which is pretty quick, and the server apologized profusely. Also one person said her spaghetti wasnt too hot, just warm. Everyone said their food was delicious.I would advise sticking to the pizzas, sandwiches, and chicken options on the menu, as that seems to be truly their specialty. For some reason I wanted to try the risotto recently, and it landed a bit flat. Not terrible, just lacking flavor. The bruschetta chicken, both wrap and dinner, is wonderful! In conclusion, bring a couple of friends, order within the favorites, and you wont be disappointed.

2022-07-04Ordered spaghetti. Crazy good! Although it can be a bit challenging at times to get the bartenders attention but for the most part service is pretty ok most of the time. Being served at a table food, and drinks the service is generally a bit more responsive. As for all the food Ive experienced so far consistently 4-5 stars..

2022-02-21Great menu! Excellent food! Hostess stand could be a bit more welcoming as the first face. There were 3 young ladies standing there, none seemed to be thrilled to even be there let alone deal with patrons. Never thought Id say it: Youngsters these days....

2022-03-20Delicious food and drinks! The waitstaff is always super friendly and accommodating. Theres plenty of TVs that play all sorts of different sports events! The sports bar area tends to be loud but in a comforting way, they also have other dining areas that have no TVs and are quiet spaces that are perfect for family gatherings!

2022-02-05Seated our family if four really fast. The only complaint is that it seemed to take longer than normal to get our food, then they started clearing our table really soon after we had eaten almost like they wanted us to leave so the could seat more people.

2022-03-25EDIT: Updating my review. Though the situation that happened still deserves 1 star, the way the GM, Spencer handled everything today after he called me, deserves 5 stars. I truly appreciated that he took time out of his day to call and discuss what happened. He went above and beyond to make a bad situation better. That is how you manage a business! Thank you, Spencer!I have been to this establishment numerous times. Actually met my husband here 10 years ago. I have always had a great experience and love the food. However, tonight was much different. My girlfriends and I placed a to-go order and had it delivered just down the street. My order was not included and a side dish was also left out. No big deal, as things like this can happen. My friend who placed the order called up to the restaurant to inform them they forgot a couple things. They offers to make it and deliver it but it would be another hour. We asked to just come pick up the missing flatbread and strawberries and we were told it would be 30+ minutes. They offered us a credit to the restaurant. My friend very calmly said, that was not an acceptable timeframe as we were all sitting down to eat dinner and we would just like a refund. The woman she spoke to said she would need to get her manager. Again, that was totally fine. The manager Brooke got on the phone and literally started screaming at my friend (she put it on speaker phone) saying that we were wrong and offered to credit us less than the amount of the food we had already purchased. She was trying to explain to this manager that she wasn’t even crediting the full amount and this manager Brooke lost her mind. She was screaming and talking so fast. Never in my life have I experienced customer service like this. Especially when the establishment was 100% at fault. They didn’t just forget to deliver the meal, they didn’t make it at all. Again, things happen and I get it. I was a waitress for almost 10 years. The first thing you learn is how to speak to a customer. Mario, Brooke is not who you want on the other end of the phone when your kitchen staff makes a mistake, I can promise you that. The most disrespectful, rude manger I have ever come across.
