Greetings and Smiling Faces! Your always greeted by the manager when you first arrive. The employees are also very friendly! Everyone greets you there and when you leave they also acknowledge you as well. The manager is really nice and makes conversations while your car is being serviced. Awesome management which is probably why he has a great staff. Real good energy at this place.
Randy was amazing! He did great work on my Honda Civic and even hooked me up with a coupon! I will be back soon Forsure!

I LOVE the Uncle Eds in Farmington Hills on 12 Mile Rd.!! Ive been going there for years - always with great service. I have since moved from the Farmington area, but will always come back to this location. The manager, Jordan, is so helpful and explains everything very well. I never feel any pressure to buy anything more than the oil change. Their Upper Tech, Matt, is such a hard worker. In December, I had a small leak in one of my tires. I knew I was going to be putting on my snow tires soon, so I visited Uncle Eds once a week, at least, to add air to that tire. Matt was also so nice, even though I wasnt paying for the service. When I told Jordan how impressed I was with Matt, he acknowledged his talents and also said that he had trained his dad. Now thats a family-based business.Need to get an oil change or anything else? Best oil change of my life!! The manager was super informative and the new hire already seemed like a pro and handled everything super professional. They were fun to talk to when getting the fuel injection cleaning!10/10 would go to these car docs again
The staff at this place are very genuine. Their customer service and the way they respond to the customers is awesome. They are professionally well trained and they do not hesitate to give answers to even the small questions. You have to get your oil changed at this place! I came in to get an oil change because my maintenance light was on and the assistant manager, Tony Williams, brought my oil stick to me and told me that my oil look great and I didn’t need an oil change. He said that whoever was doing my oil before I bought the car took really good care of it (bought it used). This is honesty at its finest! Love doing business with honest people!

First let me say, I hate spending money on car maintenance. I have been a regular at Uncle Eds for years. I usually go to the one in Ann Arbor but recently started coming here because it is close to work. One of the technicians actually remembered me and my car. The team that took care of my car did their job and that means making recommendations based on the warranty. They took the time to go through everything and explain. They were not pushy; I had refused certain recommendations in the past and they let it go. This time after looking up the history on my car the tech showed me what maintenance was remaining. Yes, I could have declined, but the tech went above and beyond to use coupons to lower the cost and help me with other concerns so I agreed. For the first time in 3 years I now have heat! With the temperatures in single digits, I am happy that I finally listened! Yes, car maintenance is a fact of life but sometimes better than the alternative.
Since moving to the area, this is the only place I go. From first visit the gentlemen have been nothing but professional, respectful and very detailed. I love it here and will not take my truck anywhere else..not even the dealership because I get more personable experience here.
I had my oil changed today, and these guys were hands down the sweetest and most efficient technicians! It took 10 minutes, which was wonderful because I did this on my lunch break, and they did not push me to purchase anything extra. They were fun and friendly, I will be going back!!
Best place in town for oil changes and anything else you may need. Aaron & Tony are the best! Excellent service, sweet and courteous employees that are always smiling and willing to help. Its the only place my husband and I go for our cars.

9/21/2018While I was in the area for work, I stopped in at this Uncle Eds for an oil change. They sold me the synthetic oil change, over 90 dollars but will last for 10,000 miles. Over the course of the next couple of weeks I began to see spots in my driveway. Not knowing what fluid may have been leaking, oil or transmission fluid, I took my car to the dealership to have it looked at. It turned out that it was an oil leak caused by a loose oil filter. Essentially the entirety of my expensive oil change at Uncle Eds were wiped out because they didnt tighten the oil filter. I paid for another oil change at my dealership because of the incompetence of Uncle Eds. When I called Uncle Eds to address this, it took a couple of days and multiple tries to speak with the manager, Andrew. After I explained to him what happened he said he couldnt do anything for me and that he would have to escalate it to the district manager level. He assured me his district manager would call me. 11 days after that call I had heard nothing from anyone at Uncle Eds. After posting a review, all of a sudden the district manager called me back. He apologized and said that naturally they would reimburse me for an oil change that I didnt even have the benefit of since the oil drained out due to the loose filter and plug. He even offered to clean my driveway. I thought the offer to clean my driveway was more than they needed to do but, since I had to pay again to fix what they screwed up in the first place with another oil change, I would accept the reimbursement. The district manager Willie said to expect recompense in 5 to 7 days. A month later, nothing. No follow up, no reimbursement...nothing. Its clear this company does only what they have to to stay out of negative press but wont actually do what they promise. Horrible business.
Came in to check my oil to see if it needed to be change left with all my fuilds inspected,tire pressure adjusted and lights tested. All for Free 100% going to make this my new spot.

I had a very bad experience visiting this place. I dealt with a very unprofessional person, usually I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but I simply could not in this case. I went there and I inquired about an oil change and TONY gave me a price of $75 AFTER TAX for a semi-synthetic oil change. Shortly later, he informed me that my car needs special oil that costs $79. I was given a bill for $85 claiming that this difference was for taxes. Before all this I asked to see the sealed bottle of semi-synthetic oil before he begins the job, he acted confused. I explained it again for him, he asked whether I was talking about the oil filter and I again told him I was talking about the oil itself. At this point he claimed he understood my request. After a few moments, I witnessed him pouring oil from an open barrel. When I confronted him about this, he made silly excuses. I was really upset about this, I informed TONY I will be filing a claim with the BBB. My advise for everyone is to NOT TO VISIT THIS PLACE PERIOD, AND NOT DEAL WITH THIS CHEATER NAMED TONY.
An oil change will help to keep my car on the road. I bring my car to the 12 mile and orchard lake location. Theyre the best.
Was a great experience. Very fast, even took the time to check the whole car over because I had recently purchased it and hadnt had time to do it myself
Fast service, but usually feel taken advantage of. The price never works out as advertised. For example, they dont include the price of the filter in the advertised cost, which is always changed. Even saying no to everything extra it is impossible to get the 39.95 oil change. Twice I have been advised to not change my oil becase it was so clean. The first time I got nervous after a week and took it back and they pressured me to get an engine flush because my oil had been allowed to get so dirty.
Had some car troubles on my way home from visiting family. Nate and Aaron were extremely helpful, and made sure I got a good rate when everything was all fixed up.
Great service but I think its just a bit overpriced for what you actually come for. I get it that your paying for labor, but they take you through a car check up that you didnt ask for. Basically I really like the concept and the service was phenomenal but Im not paying that much for a oil change ever again
Mixed experience. Unique customer service but hated it at the end. I usually do oil changes myself all the time . These people claimed that they werent able to reach the oil filter from the top and charged me extra $7.5 to just remove the underbody plate in order to reach it. I have been changing filters all the time from the top. Other than that pretty okay. I wouldnt recommend this place. There are cheaper ways to get an oil change.
Upsale/attitude/falsification of documentation...Upsale: First thing they ask when you pull in, what brings you in? I reply, just need an oil change. Thats it! Fill my washer fluid, show me my oil level, and i will be on my way!Attitude: The manager was a moron! Seriously needs to learn how to keep his cool. One guy couldnt or didnt open the air cleaner box, so the Manager comes over, rips my air cleaner cover off, throws my air filter on top of my engine/brake fluid reservoir, and speaks to the technician in a demeaning tone, he thought quiet enough that i wouldnt hear, about how he was holding everybody else up. Manager walks away to get a new air filter and from about 10 feet away, launches THAT filter so it lands and bounces around in my engine compartment. Guy, From one manager to another, the quality of employees in any establishment is usually a reflection on the quality of the manager.Falsification of documentation: Okay, this one seems kind of petty, and i honestly didnt care, but the fact remains that paper work was pencil whipped. As another tech was going over the paperwork with what had been done during my visit, thank god i know about cars, anybody with minimal to no knowledge would have been lost he was talking so fast! the paper work Stated that my windshield was hand washed. I left there with the same bug splats as when i came in. Lying about even something like that, takes ALL of your credibility away. Oh, you said you also checked the transmission fluid, the front and rear diff fluid, (this actually just hit me as im writing this) i did not see them even top off my washer fluid. You Lie about one stupid little thing like that, and i question EVERY other thing you say you have done without me watching you.Not happy with price either. I think i will go to a ford dealer from here-on-out. at least they put the car in the air and check bushings, brakes, etc...UPDATE: the owner of the establishment did contact me after I provided them with the same review. He was quite upset and was actually heading to this location to show and discuss my review with the manager. Never received a follow-up or apology from the manager, (if he is still the manager)

Nice manager, not too pushy. I didnt feel like he was trying to rip me off. He said you can drive your car a few more weeks before you need a oil change. I will be back.

The young men are polite, thorough and fast. Just make sure when they put air in your tires they put the caps back on. But if they forget, let them know on your next visit- theyll replace for free.

Uncle Eds in Farmington did an excellent job with the oil change and engine cleaning today. The service was fast and they were very courteous and knowledgeable. I would definitely go back!!
I have been going to Uncle Eds to get my oil changed for nearly 3 years now and this location will be the reason my wife and I do not return there again.I had coupons that were to be used and the assistant manager tried to pull a quick one and say the coupons I had expired, which was not correct. They will try all tactics to prey on innocent people.
Helpful and friendly I have brought 4 different vehicles here. They even complimented my moustache.
Just like almost everybody else who reviewed the price was not correct but I had a much worse problem happen. They had these kids working there and they checked my radiator cap but never put it back on properly. I drove down to Detroit that night and all of my fluid shot out and I was dead on the side of the road with an overheated car. If youre unfortunate enough to have to go here check all of the caps and make sure theyre actually tight. Ended up costing me quite a bit not even including the price of the tow and being stuck on the side of the road in Detroit for 2 hours at night . Well never go here again or to any of the Uncle Eds.
Please explain to me how an oil change is $130. Thats just the oil change and they try to push you to get so many other things you dont need. But they are very friendly and nice. Just too expensive. So we went to another place and paid $30.

The Manager opened the hood of my benz by pulling it up by the Mercedes Emblem on the grill and rip it off...... (He told me that hes always lifted the hood by pulling on the cars emblems).Really smart people that work here. Gave me a free oil change but never replaced my Emblem. I will never come back here for anything. These guys really suck at what they do!!!!

Rude!!! I asked if I could use online coupon, manager said it needs to be done prior to arriving. And because it would take 20 min for information to be transferred I would be wasting their garage time waiting in the car. The oil change itself took over 20 min. Absolutely no customer service in mind.

I kept telling them that I was in a rush to get to work and they continued to try to upsell to me. I understand that it is their job, but I personally will not come back to a place with selling methods such as these. Also, they are a bit pricey and they ask you to put your information into a tablet, which some people, especially those who arent tech savvy, might not like.

2022-04-24Very friendly people. I’ve never been to an oil change place like this. I’ve always taken my vehicles to the Cadillac dealership. With that being said- I’ve always had to wait a minimum of 2 hours. Here, I was in and out within 15 minutes. It’s more money but I’m more than happy to pay for convenience like this. I will definitely be back for my next oil change! Highly recommended.

2022-02-12I have NEVER had a better customer service experience during an oil change than this. Jared and Aaron were beyond PHENOMENAL! Not only were they fast, they were both very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and professional. Im so so glad this was my first experience with Uncle Eds. 2022-01-07Originally gave 5 stars. Got brought down to 2 due to them ripping a corner of a pad protecting my drive train near the oil drain plug. I had to crawl under my truck and secure it with zip ties to keep it from falling off. I noticed this walking out of my doctors office about 30 minutes after my oil change. 2nd major issue is the watered down washer fluid they used to refill mine. With temperatures below freezing, my resovour is now frozen. As a result I dont have washer fluid, which is a safety issue. Im concerned about it cracking my tank, or breaking my pump. I have a 18 month old truck, I contacted corporate. If they repair what they damaged, Ill up my rating. Positives are the staff was friendly, and fast.

2021-10-27This place was amazing! The latch on my hood is finicky (2008 car) and gets stuck once in a while. Unfortunately, this was one of those times. The day before, I tried to go to another shop closer to work and after trying to open it once they told me they could not do the oil change… I was flustered but I understood. Went the next day to Uncle Ed’s and they not only opened it, but fixed the latch! Never going anywhere else for an oil change again.

2021-03-08I came in for an oil change today. Jordan, the manager and his team provided me with EXCELLENT SERVICE! Plus I received a hefty discount as a health care worker. 2021-10-16I have been going here for years. A few months ago, corporate did away wth the pay it forward pre-paid oil change. This made the oil change very pricey. On my recent visit, the cost was back down to $40. Good job Uncle Eds!
