Please do your job. I am a human and I matter. I spent hard earned money on packages that are sitting at your post office because of employees who don’t care. I hope you all shut down because this customer service is unacceptable.Update: A year later you still are horrible at delivering packages and still should be shut down. Shameful.
I live in an apartment complex so i always make sure i’m here in case they come and there’s any issues but sometimes they don’t even try to ring the doorbell, i tried calling about a package i was waiting for but the phone never connected so i had to go there only to be given a different phone number to call. the only helpful person there was a young gentleman who took my information and said he would help me intercept the package so it doesn’t get sent back to the sender, he was very helpful and professional and i appreciate that someone was there that cared about me getting my package.
Employees there are always super helpful! I’m there a few times a week and they all have great patience and answer any questions I have. I avoid the USPS location that I live right near and go out of my way to go to the Madison Heights location. They are always kind and prompt. I’ve never seen nor heard any attitude and I’ve worked with each of the Employees numerous times.
A good clean post office with great hours of service until 6pm during a regular week. Open on Saturdays too. Good place to ship out items. Lines are never super long. However, like any place, they are busy at Christmas time. Some of the counter people are friendly. Some of them are not so friendly, but they do their job well. All in all, Id rather go here than my new local post office. (And even tho I moved 25mins away, I still make the drive out to this location because they are always prompt with short lines. My postal saviors!)
This office isnt that bad. People need to spend a second to breath. Mistakes happen and we all fail with beauracracy at work. Imagine the federal government treating you as a private corporation while mandating how every penny you earn is spent. Its not sustainable. I appreciate that they offer great products and the best service they can offer considering the current affairs. I wish everyone would buy stamps and postcards just to donate a few dollars even if you dont use them.
Very Nice and Clean. Front Desk personnel are helpful. Sometime though, the people from the back stand on the side by the door to distract and engage the clerk at the counter in personal conversation while the clerk is Busy with a Customer. This is unprofessional. The Clerk at the Counter should tell them to wait until break time to talk. Thank You.
Went in person to discuss the whereabouts of a package that I presumed was lost. The clerks all gave a blanket first response to me without checking any tracking or anything and I was assured the package was at our warehouse. When I had to call the warehouse myself to verify, I was informed it was not there. The clerks then told me it was with the hand carrier. I went home and caught my local carrier and asked and was told he did not have it. Returned to this store and was given attitude by the clerks and told it isnt lost we just dont know where it is at currently. I was then told all they could do was provide me a phone number to file a claim. I understand mistakes happen, but if they had provided me the customer service from the start and actually assisted me in tracking down my package instead of making me do all the leg work, I wouldnt be as upset. This was an international package that was not only expensive but also unavailable for re-purchasing, and I am very disappointed that it was lost and that my complaints were brushed off by all of the staff in person.
Its a generally nice place with quick and easy service, but there are a few minor things that are unsatisfactory. For example, they dont care for your packages very well. My best friend received a broken item despite it being well wrapped in the box. Secondly, when I needed my passport renewed, they made me apply online even though I was already there and ready to take my photo and everything. Quite inconvenient if you ask me. But oh well, overall its a nice post office.
Realize that this is not a post office, it is a USPS Store. The Madison Heights Post Office is not open to the public. If you receive a digital notification that your package is available for pick up, you cannot actually pick it up unless a paper slip was delivered to your door. Nothing about this system makes sense, and when coupled with the terrible customer service provided, the experience overall is terrible and unfair.
Mail delivery is inconsistent. Some days it arrives at noon others 9pm . Yesterday was a normal day to get informed delivery and wait on the mail that was imaged in my email as coming to only be let down by no delivery at all on a few streets. Something told me to stop the mailman and ask but I didn’t want to be rude . Nice guys finish last . Hire more carriers and get organized usps
Worst post office ever. Rude workers who give incorrect information. Packages constantly missing, late, or marked delivery attempt failed despite no postal worker even passing my house. I specifically have to request to not use USPS to get packages in a timely manner. This place is why the USPS is constantly in fear of going bankrupt.
Delivery service sucks, this is the second package I encountered an issue with, I left a note on my door with my signature and tracking number for confirmation, the delivery guy didn’t take it and the worse is that he didn’t even leave a delivery note too! How the hell do you do your job guys! Do you monitor your employees performance?! And how careless this dude is?! this delay of delivery costs me more than $300, who’s responsible for that now?!!!What a bad service!From now on I’ll avoid USPS as much as I can because of my bad experience with this delivery guy!Bad bad bad!
If you need insurance on your package make sure you dont purchase it from this post office. It will never make it to the sorting facility. 3rd time that Ive had a package get lost on its way from this post office to sorting. Odd that it only happens to my valuable and insured packages...
I have several packages lost in the mail currently. Whenever I look to see which post office they are lost at, it is at THIS point. Where are all my packages going??? Those that dont go through this branch seem to get here fine. Feels like someone at this office is getting rooms full of goods to me. Should be looked into.
There is a typical Karen working at the counter at 9am saturday morning. Instead of greeting a customer, she pointed out my face cover not being a mask. Do you seriously have to act like a Karen on Saturday morning? I understand working on weekends sucks but at least have some attitude.
Dont know what people are complaining about. This location is, in my opinion, one of the best in Oakland County. I have never had an issue here.If so many of you have issues, how bout not complaining and get a job here! Try doing these peoples job. Sounds to me that you are just venting because you had a bad day.
In the last 6 months, I have lost 6 packages that were marked delivered in tracking. It took months for them to research only for them to come back and say it wasnt found. They are constantly delivering wrong mail to my address so I am pretty sure whoever they have delivering things hates their job or people because they cant seem to get it right. They dont even offer reimbursement for anything. I am so sick of them
Tried calling countless times since we were missing HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF DELIVERIES!!!!! Eventually someone answered and told me that I needed to come in to talk to a manager. When I got there, with attitude and judgement, they told me to call their customer service number! No apology. After many hours of trying to file a legit complaint, I ended up having to file with their watchdog company which did absolutely nothing. Lately, their new thing is marking packages delivered but bringing them a day or so later, likely as to not raise any red flags within their department, especially with Amazon orders. Thats IF we even get our order. Very upsetting. I feel bad for any actual decent people that work there though I question if thats possible with the service we have received. We usually just have packaged shipped to our work in order to go through another USPS location.
Constant turn over in window staff. Some window clerks are nasty. Many are just incompetent. Constantly misdelivering mail to my house. Dont answer their phone when you call them. They turn you away and tell you the office is closed if you arrive close to closing time, but before closing time. They used to have a good employee, a black woman named Cay, but she was thrown out of her position and sent to another location against her will. The gay supervisor was always in a bitter, jaded, Bette Davis mood. They added a postal machine so they could cut down on staff, and after they cut down on staff, they removed the postal machine. This post office should be on TV as an example of incompetency.
According to USPS tracking system, Ive had a package sitting at this location for over TWO WEEKS. This is absurd. The package should have been sent to my local post office for delivery within a few days of arriving in Madison Heights on July 10. Its now July 25. What terrible customer service!
I mailed a Father Card on 6/6/2017 to California kept calling my son has he received the card and he kept calling saying no card in the mail today so on the 17th of June asked him one more time did he received the card and the answer was no so we thought the card was lost come today 6/19/2017 at 5:30 P.M. the mailman drop the mail in my mailbox and there was the card saying returned for postage you mean to tell me my card sat at the Madison Heights Post Office all that time instead of return the card back to me when they found out no stamp on the enveloped that post office sucks that not the first time that has happen to me . I paid for express mail that should have been delivered in two days and the person never gotten it. I am going to take my mail to another postal service because that do not care about people mails or the people business up there. After 51 complains or reviews look like somebody should have look into that postal services they are going to lose a lots of people business up there unless that get that office together.
Waiting for package to be delivered, sitting on the porch watching the delivery guy park in front of my house, make his rounds around the block. Delivers my neighbors mail, walks back to truck and leaves. Look at the status on their website and says my package was delivered. Ummmmm no it definitely wasnt, I was literally sitting there watching. Then try to call USPS and guess what, a damn automated system with no human interaction. What kind of damn system so they run! A bunch of useless individuals work there. Cant wait to hear the excuses Im gonna get when I go to the office in the morning!
Package was out for delivery today with signature confirmation. Got home and there was no we missed you slip anywhere so Ive been waiting at home for the past few hrs expecting the package yet to be delivered. Just got a shipping update in real time that the package is at the post office waiting for me to pick it up. First off, the post office is closed... and ohh yea, went there about an hr ago to see if the package was there and the guy said it wasnt. Awesome.
So i ordered a package an accidently made a mistake on my address. No big deal its my fault. But why do these ppl not answer the phone? Ive called 6 times just thinking they were busy. But after reading these reviews i see its a normal practice not to answer the phone. We are shut down over covid 19. But you cant get covid from answering the phone. PICK UP THE DAMN PHONE and give us the customer service we all deserve.
No excuse for such bad customer service/treatment:Im an artist and need to ship prints of my paintings without them getting bent. I chose the wrong type of envelope (sue me) and when I asked if theres a different kind that would prevent my painting from bending I was told that there is, but I have to buy the envelope I wrote on because nobody else can use it now.Thats perfectly fine. The reason Im upset about it is because the woman, who was the only person working kept shuffling me around in between other customers she was helping, making me look like some helpless nobody and by the time she actually gave me my option, which was to go home and find cardboard to put in the envelope, the store was closing in 10 minutes! So in the end her lack of accommodation made me have to make 2 trips and waste a days worth of delivery time.Do not go here if you expect to be treated fairly and with respect.
They screwed up a quite a few tenants mail here in my apartment complex. People werent getting their mail, because some lazy fu*cos postal worker was screwing up peoples mail, important mails. These lazy fuc*is need to get fired and they need to hire people who have good work ethics and take their job seriously. Their irresponsible conduct affecting the public.
There is no place to lodge a complaint about unstamped mail being put in my mailbox. You would think that if youre paying people to hand out your political fliers you would teach them they can not put them in peoples mailboxes but every day they are there. This needs to be addressed by the postmaster.
Ive only been here once, but I had such an amazing customer service that I wanted to post a rating. I noticed that this location has a poor score, and I have no idea why! The individual that just worked with me took care of me within 10 seconds and told me to have a great weekend.
There is no way this many people are losing their packages at this particular location! I have had a package lost since July 21st! I have tried to call and there is no answer. I also filed a claim and havent received any information regarding that either! Worthless! Needs to be closed down if they cant complete the tasks they are employed for!
Do yourself a favor and go to a different location. People that work here are just rude! I wrote the address on the wrong side of the box and got the dirtiest look from the clerk and she said You get mail to your house with the address like this? this is not ok the boxes I get home have labels on them... which Is what she later did print one and put it on top of my hand writing address...
They sent my package back to me saying the receiver moved when they didnt! The address was correct and i got zero compensation for the mail carriers mess up... no wonder why the USPS is going down the drain! Ill never use USPS again... They also said USPS is not a guarantee delivery service..hmm
Currently, for some reason, my package was shipped to PA from there and I live in Michigan. While trying to find out why, I have called them 8 times over and over again and everyone appears to be avoiding the phone. If at all possible, avoid using this terrible post office.
Status of package is delivered, actual status of package is the lazy fuc$ didn’t deliver it and still marked it as delivered. No accountability, this communist era post office service sucks. Fed ex from now on and I hope USPS folds to the pressure of the free market. Apparently this is a common problem for the idiots at USPS. Just goes to show how horrible certain things are when socialized.
My mail carrier is a lazy moron. I have to deal with these people a lot to get things straightened out, theyre generally able to help me even if I come inadequately prepared. I mean, its no kinkos or ups store but when i come here I get what I need done with minimal effort.
This place delivered a parcell package to me on the 30th and I wasnt able to sign for it. I left the sign-slip for them to leave the package the next time they arrived and its now been 18 days and I STILL havent seen my package... The tacking on it doesnt even show any activity... Is this even legal??? I wish I could give 0 stars... 1 Implies they deserve some sort of merit
Says my parcel was delivered yesterday at 9:35 am to the parcel box...but left no key in my mail box for me to access the parcel box. So either they forgot to give me the key, or my package isnt actually in the box. My package exists in a state of delivered and not delivered. Schrodingers Package. Currently trying to reach the office but to no luck.
Honestly I dont know how a group of people could be worse at their job. They have lost my mail so many times Ive lost count. If I could rate it negative stars I would. If there was an award ceremony for worst Post Office in the country they would win every award in a landslide.

2022-05-07Mail forwarding request 3 months ago not upheld. They sent a letter stating it was processed, but never sent the mail. All packages that have been shipped from USPS have responded since Ive been in my new location back to their original shipper. Stating the order couldnt be delivered due to access issues. And yet UPS, FedEx, Amazon and every deliver driver has access and have been able to deliver. Im not sure why this many people have to have issues and yet no one has even assisted in the solution.This may have to be escalated to the BBB as well as the local officials regulating this. I feel like they want this response or a class action rather than just deliver the mail...=\/ Federal offense and negligence is what this honestly leads to.

2022-04-02Never delivers packages correctly. Out of over 400 in 2 years Ive only recieved a few with my normal courier, every CCA Ive met minus 3 have been rude. Oh and the best part? We havent had a constant courier in about a year and a half. This is ridiculous!

2022-01-01Let’s talk about the latest mailman hustle. So if you have guaranteed priority mail being shipped to you. They can put it in your tracking that they attempted to deliver it but your street was blocked. This is untrue with proof because my mailbox was full of mail. Just didn’t include the two day priority mail package. By the mailman entering this information, It also prevents you from making a complaint, Or recovering any of the shipping money you are entitled to. When a two day priority mail package doesn’t come for nine days.

2022-02-01Everytime me or my girlfriend come here we’re met with two very rude women. Who don’t let you get a word out & literally don’t listen to you. They truly don’t comprehend what you say when you can get a word out. They’re rude, mean & just nasty they yell at everyone & talk down to them. They honestly leave a bad name for the post office & shouldn’t be working there. They drive people to go to places like ups & fed ex. It’s just sad & needs to be better or at least professional

2021-12-18I think the staff at the Madison Heights branch are awesome. Ive lived her for about 5 years and Ive never had any real issues with mail delivery or employee attitudes. Whenever I need to go in, everyone so far has been fast, kind and helpful.

2022-02-17The passport service is the worst that can be in Michigan, very rude, bad attitude and disrespectful.I went there 2:35 Even though my appointment was between 2:30-3 she told me to hurry up because she needs to close at 2:45 to go home, she never gave me the proper instructions for passport renewal and she sent me to a different window to finish the transaction and now everything came back and I have to deal with it from the beginning. I wish I could put 0 stars . This happened on 02/11.

2021-12-09Had a terrible experience. One woman (White but looks like a Hispanic, short ) was very very rude. She didnt even ask me if I want to ship with regular or priority, and pointed me to get those the most expensive box to ship, and then charged me double price, plus her tone of talking is like accusing me not bring my own box??? Can you please hire someone nice and at least not rude to your CUSTOMER????? Why would I have to pay money and go for the bad service? Later on, therere two other very kind and nice ladies, helped me to change the box and shipped with regular mail which lowered the cost. Please watch your staff.

2022-03-14A post office that force you to buy tape while they have the tape right in front of them and can’t even spare 5 inches of tape. They are just naturally mean and rude trying to get under your skin.

2022-01-06Beware of MARGARET who is rude and disrespectful and apologizes after she throws rocks and hides her hand. Tried telling me information about an apartment that I’ve lived in for FOUR years. How can you tell me anything about my place of residency? I would know if we have name tags or not and we DON’t never have. I called and she wouldn’t even let me get a word out. Just like everyone else here in the reviews that are not getting mail I’m not either so WE must not be the crazy ones. Thank GOD I’m moving in two weeks!!
