They were fast, efficient and friendly. I appreciated the automatic notifications that let me know when they were on the way. It was cool how they used a remote control to place the pods precisely side by side to fit in such a limited space. I’d definitely recommend.

He was courteous to our neighbor, due to the narrow lane we live on, he took the time to backup an let him get by to his house. We also have a narrow side driveway that is only 11 feet wide. The equipment he used was fantastic, as Brandon skillfully maneuvered the trailer on a fork lift and backed it into place. Comment: My wife arranged for our unit. She had called PODS for an estimate. At the end of the conversation, the call representative wanted a credit card to hold the reservation. When my wife stated she was only getting an estimate, the entire tone of the representative changed and stated the quote, which was over $600, could only be guaranteed for a short period time without a credit card. Totally different experience with UNITS. My wife got a follow-up call from UNITS (from an actual person at the company!) in response to her online inquiry. When she stated she was only getting an estimate, as nice as can be, their person said they were there to help when she was ready to book and wanted her to know they were having a summer special. Bottom line, we were able to get a 12 foot unit for $200 less than PODS quoted for an 8 foot container. It was a no-brainer as far as we were concerned. Delivery was fast and easy. the person who delivered out unit was very professional and experienced. He used the robotic arm to drop it in our driveway - no fuss, no muss. Container was very clean. What really impressed us was when they came to pick-up the unit. They werent able to pick-up the container before our rental period ended (which to be honest came down almost to the day). Since it was an issue on their end, they did not pro-rate or charge any additional fees. When a billing error was made, I called their office (and spoke to a real person in the office!) and explained the situation, they apologized and fixed the problem promptly and efficiently.Amazing customer service, quick, prompt and professional. There were so many things that went right with this experience, were not able to list them all. We will be doing another project on our house very soon. Again a no-brainer - definitely using UNITS. Save yourself time and dont bother calling PODS.

Comment: The worst. Would give it no stars but the app won’t allow that. Trailer got here 5 hours late. Our movers moved our stuff in only to find no bulkhead inside. Called in the next morning and were assured a bulkhead would come with the truck. It didn’t. 4 hours late by the way. Been waiting an hour to hear if they can find one so they can come TOMORROW to take trailer away. Meanwhile we’ve sold our house and are supposed to be out in the morning. Don’t even think about hiring these people. A miserable experience you don’t really need during the stress of moving.

When I ultimately did have to get into my things, it was painless. My unit was brought into an open space and I was given bottled water while worked. Comment: Units was hired by our Construction Team during a storm related damage repair. The Units Container arrived promptly as scheduled to hold our furniture during the repair. We had to place the usual suspects in the Container: A large sofa, onersized chair and a half, dining set, tables,lamps, and the ever so fragile china hutch with glass and mirrors. . As the Construction Crew, who had their own team of furniture movers on sight, did not come prepared with furniture pads or wrap. .:( But your Awesome Driver was prepared for every contigency! He freely offered them and had this crew wrap all our furniture! In the end we thought it most prudent to leave the Container in front of our home just to make it easier on all concerned and that china hutch. In locking the Container; once again, your Driver completely had that under control and provided a rather heavy duty appropriate lock. The Construction Crew, as far as I knew, did not have one. Not sure why and this was not a low end crew. If I had to use one my personal locks it would have been this very style as we had the same kind on a storage unit before. ( The thick silver dollar shape) I would highly recommend Units for their Driver courtesy, expertise and preparedness. What more do you want?

There was a misunderstanding with the first rental about moving blankets. I wanted to out right buy them and it wound up as me renting them. When I called to correct the situation, they were very happy to put my rental fee toward the purchase. The delivery on the pods and the pick up of the first one was very quick. Everyone I have been in contact with has been very friendly and professional. If you need a pod for moving or remodeling, this is the place to go. I will use them again if the need comes up...

Comment: Moving is hard enough! I am moving, after 35 years in one house. I did a quick search for Pods and stumbled across a local (to me) competitor in nearby Livermore and called them. Right away, I was confronted with helpful information, clear details and sage advice. It was friendly, helpful and neighborly. Checked Yelp and that is the consistent chatter about these guys.Of course, Im a sucker for friendly help, but I also called Pods and got a call center located somewhere in Georgia. High prices. Square Peg / Round Hole. This is the way we do it and you must conform to our way of business. And I would pay extra for this? No way. Not today.Ive had the first of two containers from Units delivered, packed (professionally by one of their suggested vendors) and taken away for my future delivery, and the experience so far has been fantastic. The people at Units are the best - they have great tips for packing, using the storage container effectively, and their vendor list is excellent. It almost feels like theyre moving with you.I cannot say enough good things about these people.

Comment: Wonderful experience with the folks at UNITS. They took care of all my concerns and were amazing thru the whole moving experience. Their drivers were extremely professional and did a wonderful job of explaining the entire drop off and pickup process as well as provided some great tips on loading to ensure the safety of our possessions. When it was time to schedule the deliver of the pod at our new home after a short time at their storage facility, UNITS was incredibly accommodating and a joy to work with. They kept me informed the entire time and their drivers showed up on time. They event took my call on a Sunday (office was closed) once the unit was empty to schedule the removal of the unit early the next week.I ended up needing 2 storage containers to accomplish our move, and I really wish I had found UNITS first.From the folks in the office to the drivers in the trucks, everyone at UNITS went out of their way to ensure that the process was as easy and as stress free as possible.

Comment: Using UNITS to move was the best part of moving! I shopped around thinking Pods would be my choice for sure and after I did my research, UNITS proved to be the best. They were the least expensive, the nicest and cleanest storage unit (our friends used a competitor and their container was filthy), and the customer service exceeded our expectations. I had the pleasure of dealing with one of the owners most of the time and she was sincere, honest and friendly. She answered all of my questions and wasnt pushy. I strongly recommend UNITS for your next move!

Comment: Best storage company hands down. Called pods for a quote first; and they were more than double the price. Donna took the stress out of moving our belongings. We had tight dead lines, with a lot of uncertain dates for moving. Units accomadated and showed up on time, every time. Units was very clean, and all items showed up undamaged. Would give them 10 stars if possible!

It was delivered right when she said it would be and placed right where I requested. I love that the roof allows so much light in it! That really helps when were filling it up. Comment: Donna Topp, owner of Units, heard Jackson Street Elementary School was having a garage sale to raise money to send the 4th grade class to Science Camp this summer. Donna asked how she could help and the school was in need of storage for just a couple days so the parents could drop off their donated items in advance of the sale. That was no problem for Units and Donna was happy to do it. The Unit allowed the school to collect large items (furniture etc) which were the higher ticket items. As a real estate professional I will recommend Unit to my clients who are moving. Thank you Donna & Units.

The folks at Units, specifically Donna and Rick, went beyond the call of duty to ensure that our portable storage experience was beyond amazing, especially considering we were enduring the overwhelming stress of a home remodel and all the chaos that comes with it. I would give these folks 10 stars if we could! Highly recommend them over the other pod companies we spoke with in the Diablo Valley and Tri Valley area. Not only did they clearly provide the greatest value in terms of product offered, but their customer service is unparallel, clearly setting them far above the competition. We could always reach them easily, all calls were promptly returned and their sign-up process was beyond easy and painless. Delivery of the unit was incredibly speedy; first rate equipment used by this company.
