Comment: I had never heard of UpNest until I googled Real Estate Agents.I clicked on the site, was asked a lot of questions, and then they gave me the names of 3 RE Agents for me to pick from,. It had all of the agents info. I picked Joan Lucas out of my 3. and it was one of the best choices that I have ever made. This young lady excels in the Real Estate world. She was always watching out for me and my interests. She was almost always available for questions, and if she was busy with other clients or in a meeting, she would return my calls as soon as she was free. UpNest made it all possible with those three choices that they gave me. I really didnt care for the constant calls and emails from the UpNest Advisors. That got to be pretty annoying. Overall, after this experience with Joan Lucas, I would give UpNest another try.

Comment: The promises made to consumers and the promises made to Realtors dont match up and then UpNest sticks themselves in the middle causing even more issues. While there are some success stories (look at the feedback) there are more problems. You are better off finding a good agent on your own. Highly recommend interviewing 3 to compare and contrast and see who makes you feel the most comfortable.

Comment: I used this service to find a buyer agent to work with. There were a number of claims that were made in the beginning, none of which was true. One was that there will be a payback of a part of the commission from the agent and I will have the opportunity to interview a number of agents to choose one without having to go through big corporate real estate companies.I ended up getting call from only one agent who was from a big real estate company. And they didnt offer to payback any commission. I didnt really believe that could happen and so didnt worry much about that.Once I started the house search, someone named Cathy from Upnest kept calling me about the house hunting process and left voicemail/texts that she wanted to send Amazon gift card. However she only wanted to know which agent I ended up working with so that they can get their cut from that agent. Little did she know that I got a call from only one agent.After closing the house when I asked upnest about the gift card they stopped responding to my messages.What originally seemed to make my house buying process very easy ended up being a total scam. Literally there was no benefit going through them. I might have had more options with the agents doing a Google search.Strongly suggest against working with them.

She was one of the agents shortlisted for us when we asked for agent referrals. We chose her over 10 other agents and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. She is very knowledgeable and guided us through the selling process every step of the way. She’s firm but not pushy. She explained to us comparatives so we can come up with the right asking price and proper timing. She’s very hands on in getting our house ready for selling - from landscaping, staging, and at one point she was wiping our stairs and walls! It’s obvious that she knows and loves what she’s doing. She does it with her personal touches that just made us confident and less stressed as we thought we would.We recommend Karen to friends, family, anyone in a heartbeat!

The agents they sent me to review were not suitable because (1) They each worked the entire large metropolitan area of Phoenix where I live. I live in a niche neighborhood which requires localized expertise. And (2) None of the 4 agents seemed to have experience with the price bracket our house is in.So I chose not to contact any of their agents. But that did not stop them from trying to contact me. I have been inundated with unsolicited e mails and phone calls. I consider this quite unprofessional.

Let’s face it, 6% was based on years ago a listing realtor paying for numerous ads and signs, and spending every weekend in an open house. And a buyers realtor would show tons of homes before making a sale. Today, we look on whatever the app of your choice is, and we tell the realtor what we want to see. And usually go to the online bank of choice, and already have financing lined up. My transaction in the Richmond, Va area used Stuart Hubbard for a realtor. Everything went just perfect. It was a new construction home. Stuart helped during the contract, selections, and final delivery stages. Refund check was in hand soon after closing, and the gift card was within a few weeks.

In today’s age of internet, many buyers can search and filter the listings on their own without assistance from a realtor. However the local laws may require you to work with a realtor. Given that the realtor’s scope of assisting the buyer in the home buying process has come down, it is only fair for the realtors to share part of their commissions with the buyers. Upnest provides a platform to make this happen.

Comment: Im not going to lie I was a little skeptical when I first came across this website. It seemed too good to be true that I would find an experienced agent that would give me part of their commission. I thought there was probably some hidden fees or something but at the time I was desperate to try anything since I did not like my current agent and had less than 45 days left to buy a house or I would have to renew my lease and rent again for another year. So I joined UpNest and received two offers right away and decided to go with Kenya Reeves-Costa who turned out to be heaven sent. She helped save me over 20k off the asking price on a house I wanted but was out of my price range. She was so professional, helpful and on top of everything. She even stayed on top of my lender to make sure I closed on time, which I did! Not to mention she gave me 20% of her commission that went towards my closing and helped out A LOT. I dont know what I would have done without UpNest or Kenya and will be highly recommending this them to all my friends and family. Thank You!

But I can tell you..these reviews are real and made by real people.I used UpNest and they introduced me to Lyndsay Jones. I saw the good reviews on here and did have some reservations because I didn’t know her personally and we only talked over the phone. I read the reviews just like you did. I also spoke to another realtor prior to Miss Jones that had over 20 years experience. The first realtor told me that she could sell my house. But there was “no way” I could get close to the price that I was looking for due to the condition of the property. “You’re not goingto get that!” is what she told me. My mind had me leaning towards the 1st realtor. But my “guts” had me going with Lyndsay Jones and UpNest. So I went with my guts. And I can tell you…I was pleasantly surprised!Not only did I get an offer on my property…I got 20% MORE money than what the 1st realtor stated I could get without renovations. I got 2 good offers within 3 days the property was listed.Lyndsay Jones hit the ball out of the park for me! A home run right out of the gate! Basically, four agents messaged me with reduced commission fees. I clicked on them to correspond. Interviewed Brandon Alexander in San Antonio. (as well as a few others) but I selected Brandon. He did a good job. I feel I received the exact same service with him through Upnest than if I went to him directly. I asked him why he goes through Upnest. He said it supplements his business and he hopes for referrals. Well, it worked! He listened to my concerns, gave advice but was not pushy and got the property sold in a reasonable amount of time for a good price. I referred Brandon to a friend and she is now using him as her agent to sell a couple of house that she is wanting to sell. Basically, this a great way to get a decent agent for a reduced commission. Comment: I was a bit skeptical about going with this service as I didnt want to wind up with a second rate agent that was trying to compete on price alone.What I found instead were a number of agents who had earned their stripes working for one of the big real estate names (like the Big 5 accounting firms) and decided it was too restrictive and/or unable to fully utilize their talents. However, as an independent or small firm real estate agent, it is challenging to get clients willing to take a chance on you with their million plus dollar asset or even find you in the first place given the advertising coverage the big guys have saturated the market with.UpNest serves as a screening and validation tool - much like Amazon or EBay does for many quality small vendors seeking to reach a broad online market but have no credibility on their own or marketing reach. UpNest does that initial preselection and validation of quality agents, then continues to monitor them based upon prospect feedback. You screw up or act in an unethical fashion and youre gone.As these agents are working for small firms or even out of their houses with a virtual team of support people, they dont have the massive overhead, or full time expensive support staff of a large real estate firm. And so they can offer much better commission rates and contract flexibility than the big guys can even with paying UpNest a small cut.They are also more flexible on the Standard Listing Agreement which is cleary written to greatly favor the listing agent should anything go awry and can turn out to be an absolute nightmare if you sign it without making any modifications. The big real estate names are more likely to have a take it or leave it attitude. The agreement is written in legal jargon so dont depend solely on yourself to figure it out.Market reach is no problem as everything is online so they can do anything the big guys can - only less expensive, faster and with more responsiveness to a customer. Thena from Upnest was fabulous; professional yet very personable and considerate. The priorities I gave her for the agent I wanted were perfectly matched with proposals from three agents. I selected the agent that lived in the town the house was in and he also had the best resume and sales record. This service was a gift after the poor experience I had with the initial agent we contracted to sell my parents house. The previous agent had locked us into a six month agreement. She knew my parents and was a friend of my parents life long friend. I wont go into much detail about her service other than even though she supposedly had a good record her methods were dated and she only brought us one offer at the end of the six month contract for 18% less than the original asking price with a huge list of requirements. Andy Taylor, the agent I did select form the Upnest service, did not lock us into a long term contract and required only a 5% commission. He offered his services for as long or as little as we wanted. He had incredible resource recommendations that were very reasonably priced to make a few minor repairs to my parents home. We signed with Andy on Thursday and he sold the house to a prequalified buyer that Saturday for 99% of our asking price with a 30 day escrow. He averages selling about a house a week. Which means he was true to his word that he spends about $10,000 a month on advertising, mostly targeted online advertising. I have been telling anyone I know to use the Upnest service and if they are selling in the area, I tell them they should hire Andy. Thank you Thena and Andy!!

He asked me a few questions about the property and then we were done.About two days later, as promised, I received 4 proposals from realtors that specialized in the market I was selling in. In talking with each of the realtors it was clear that Max had talked at length with each of them. They were already completely up to speed with my needs. All that was left to do was to pick the one that I felt the best about. I could have asked Max for more realtors, but as it turns out, one of his choices was a perfect match.I am going to recommend this to anyone selling a home!
