Ordered pizzas an hour ahead of pick up time.... not ready when we got there and had to wait an additional 20 minutes. Pizzas were as ordered, but the crusts were very well done...crispy like a cracker....not good.
Really happy with my recent experience. Got the Caesar salad, breadsticks, and a supreme pizza. All really good. Highly recommend.
Love upriver, was really happy when working at lume to learn that they were just up the road from the store. Almost a year later i hear that they now have a brick and motar store in benzie. Congratulations this places interior looks amazing and the atmosphere is very inviting.

Very nice surprise at Upriver Wood Fire Pizza.Pizza was very good. Made with good ingredients all around. If I made any suggestion it would be to cook slightly longer, or ask for well done. Like all Wood fire pizza you want to eat while it’s warm/hot.Even bigger surprise was the Caesar salad. Home made dressing, and home made croutons. Better than many Caesar salads we have had in restaurants. Soo good.Great job, and we will be back.Thx Phil

So impressive, and such an amazing idea. We stopped because we couldn’t find anything to eat within a 30 min radius. Couldn’t believe while we were ordering, we watched as the dough was being hand-tossed. The ingredients are as local as possible.. the details these guys put into this SHOW. All the options of a full blown pizza joint, in a quirky lil truck. Absolutely loved it. Corn hole while you wait!
Had a lazy day due to the rain so we decided to pick a pizza place with the best reviews in the area. Not sure why its rated 4.9 because the pizza I ate had thin tough and burnt crust! Now I wish I wouldve saved my money and cooked hot dogs at our campsite. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is the price was fair.

Hands down some of the best pizza we’ve ever had and we’ve had a lot of pizza from allOver. The sauce is tasty and it was cooked to perfection. Could not recommend more!! We will be back.

This is definitely the best pizza in the area. Absolutely delicious. We have had pizza from several places while in the M22 area and this blew all the others away. Quality pizza and a neat little spot right on the side of the road. If youre around M22 do yourself a favor, skip the touristy places and go here. You wont regret it.
This pizza did not appeal to me or my family. It is a thin crust, which we like. The toppings were found only with a magnifying 🔎glass.It was so-so at best.

This place has the best new york style pizza I’ve had in all of northern michigan! The owner and workers must have nailed down their technique in that wood fire oven because that crust was so delicious, and so cheap too!

2022-06-03Called in to place my order and the lady that I spoke with had just started and you could tell she was already falling into a workplace with a great culture. She showed she really cared about getting the order right and was very friendly. Would for sure go back for more. Sad I only got one pizza hahah

2022-07-11This was my first time here. The flavors of the pizza were good but it seemed to be just a little over done. Crust was a little too dry and the cheese also seemed to be over cooked. I cant say that all their pizzas are always this way. We ordered three larges and they were all like this.

2022-05-06We went there and ordered a lg meat lovers pizza and chz sticks! The sauce on the pizza is magnificent!!!! The toppings diced, not chunky (which my husband really likes)!!!They are waiting patiently on their liquor license! Then we can sit at the beautiful bar and have a couple cold brews while we wait for our pizza!P.S. the mozzarella sticks were nice and crispy too 😋Thumbs up Benzie County!!!!

2022-06-04We tried Upriver for the first time last night and it will be our new favorite pizza spot when we are visiting. Thinner crust, crisp on the bottom (but not overly) and delicious. We also got a salad which was fresh, cold and good!

2022-06-11So far weve tried pizza twice, had a ceasar with chicken for lunch and tried penne vodka with chicken and added a side salad for dinner and we have not been disappointed. Food was hot, fresh and delicious and service has been 1uick, friendly and attentive. Be aware to he aware that the pizza is thin crust. Think quality over quantity.

2022-05-25We got two takeout pizzas tonight - pepperoni and bacon. Both were terrific. The best crust - chewy and still thin. Totally recommend!
