Every time I have a package go through this building something happens. Usually I get a notification saying it was delivered then they actually deliver it the next day. Now I received a notification saying it was delivered to my front door (I was home all day) and it was not. Here it is 3 days later and still havent received the package. Sounds like the drivers are Christmas shopping from their trucks. Sounds like they are keeping packages and logging them as delivered.
ZERO STARS!!!!!Two days ago, I received one package from UPS on my porch, guess the driver forgot my other package after she/he left. The driver indicated no one was home. My package did not require a signature. I had to pick up from CVS which was an inconvenience. Today I had three additional deliveries, and guess what, the driver indicated my street numbers are incorrect. I called Macys and they verified my address was printed correctly. All packages are coming from Macys and delivered by Madison Heights location. I understand this is the holiday season, but don’t lie about the status of packages.
I urge everyone who can choose what shipper to use to choose absolutely any other shipper that they can. UPS is not a good company, they do not treat their workforce fairly which is evident in the quality of service you receive. Send UPS the only message they will understand and take your business elsewhere.
Extremely Disappointed:Theese guys don’t know how to handle packages. My friend sent me a package which is 3 day ground shipping which has very important docs in that along with some documents which I cannot retrieve. I called them and requested for the hold at location and they dis the same. Next day when I went to location to pickup the package they are saying that they couldn’t find the package and it was missing. “One of their employees scanned with some other scanner and package was kept in some place where they couldn’t locate.”- The person at the counter told this.They tried for some time and came back saying that there are some thousands of packages and we couldn’t locate your package. And admitted that this was ups fault and they couldn’t do much about it, and asked me to open a claim.Honestly when you guys need to do a better job, never know what important docs someone sends and you guys are so negligent. Such a disappointment. I would choose other shipping services like fedex next who does a better job that you.
Nearly 50% of all packages sent or received by my company this past year that passed through this facility failed to make it to the desired destination. They are usually destroyed by this facility. Flat out use FedEx or USPS. At least your merchandise and product will get there in one piece even if its slightly more expensive or slower. At least your packages wont be used for soccer practice by the Loading/Unloading staff. Drivers are good though ...its a shame.
UPDATE 12/28: In response to UPSs generic message below, I have reached out to both social channels but to no avail. It would be helpful if you could provide me with a direct point of contact at your facility that I could speak with regarding my lost package. I will continue to update this review in accordance with our communications. Thank you!ORIGINAL MESSAGE 12/26:My mom mailed me a package back in September 2020 and it still hasnt arrived as of December 26, 2020. The package was scheduled to arrive at my house on September 24, 2020, and the tracking number shows it arrived at this Madison Heights location on September 24, 2020 at 8:06 AM. It was last scanned on October 23, 2020 at 2:28 PM, showing it was still at the Madison Heights facility a month after it arrived. My tracking has not been updated since. After filing three claims and spending hours on the 1-800 line, I have been given a constant run-around by UPS saying they are looking into it and someone will reach out to me (they still have not). I have asked for the direct number to this location so I can speak to a representative directly, but to no avail. I am posting this review as a last-ditch effort of contacting this facility to locate my package. In the event they are able to, I would be happy to update this review to a higher rating.
After speaking with a delightful young lady who could not deliver the result I was seeking, I asked politely to speak with a supervisor which took a few minutes on hold, but eventually I was connected to that supervisor, who turned out to be rude, nasty, and hung up on me. Out of fairness, the first young ladys name was Brittany, I believe, who was patient with my request and helped as much as she could. Thank you Brittany for your help! I unfortunately did not catch the second womans name as she was so rushed and abrupt, it seemed as if I was bothering her, intruding on her time. Based on that interaction, I will never, wherever possible, use UPS as a shipper again. Im just that kind of person. Burnt once, I never darken the doorway twice!
I ordered an inflatable SUP through Amazon on May 28. The product took a little longer to ship, which is not a problem. Eventually, my tracking information was updated, and my inflatable SUP was set to arrive the first week in June. In fact, it was on the truck ready to be delivered by a driver originating from Madison Heights UPS. By the end of the day, it was not delivered. A few more days go by, tracking isn’t updated so who knows where it is now. A little upsetting but Amazon issued a refund and I ordered another.The replacement shipped faster. Once again tracking info said my inflatable SUP was on the truck for delivery by a driver originating from Madison Heights UPS. And once again same thing happened. On the truck for delivery but never shows. Still hasn’t shown up and tracking info says it’ll be updated at some point.How in the world does this happen not once but twice? UPS tracking knew where it was when it was on the truck for delivery and now all of sudden UPS can’t find it? Just seems a bit odd.I fully understand COVID has completely thrown delivery companies for a loop and these drivers work really hard. The Madison Heights UPS must be a complete disaster. Hopefully my third inflatable SUP will actually be delivered to me, this is crazy.And per the UPS generic response I will most certainly receive, I’ve already contacted you through social. I get the Amazon wants to handle my issue directly and that’s fine. Consider this a complaint about the Madison Heights UPS and an issue that needs to be researched on your part.
Worst UPS branch. They lost two of our packages in a day. One was addressed to my husband and the other to me and none reached us. Worst customer care. To top it off driver said he left packages on porch and we should look around carefully. No he didn’t. We receive multiple packages daily - never had a lost/stolen issue. My parents stay at home and would’ve responded if someone came or hit the buzzer. All lies.
Delivered my package to the wrong address twice, first time it wasnt even in the same city and was signed for, my package did not require a signature, second time it was marked for delivery, someone elses package was delivered to my address and it even had the other persons name and address on the package, does anyone who delivers here even check what they are delivering and make sure they are at the right address.....
I requested a package be held for pickup because I was out of town, except when I double checked my tracking the next business day they put it back on a truck for delivery and its impossible to get a hold of a real person when trying to call UPS. Like their automated system will actually refuse to connect me with a representative.
Ups driver never stopped at our business. Tracking of package says it cannot be delivered cause the business was closed. We had the open sign on and all of lights on. Customers non stop coming in and out. We rely on the items from shipping to conduct business. I watched the driver pass by and not attempt to stop. Called customer service twice and they said a supervisor would call back within an hour. We constantly have problems in Shelby township with this driver. Often times he will deliver packages from other businesses to us and we have to go deliver them. A majority of other businesses around us have the same issue. Since ups will not call us back or correct the situation with this driver, we have called our vendors and told them to ship through a different method if they would like to continue doing business.
Great service at this distribution center. Rarely a line here. Counter clerks are friendly, courteous and helpful. Some packaging materials are available for sale. They usually do not package items for you, but they are very efficient and have been known to help when they are not very busy. Parking is a little odd having to cross busy pathways of vehicles, and should be a little closer considering most people are coming and going with packages in their hands. They do have a cart available. They accept debit cards. I do not ship regularly, so my information is cleared from their computers after a few months. They will help you set up a business account if you are not comfortable doing it online. Check the hours if you intend to ship on Saturday.
I have not received my package. The tracking said it was delivered and someone signed for it and that is not the case. I did not receive my package, I did not sign for it. There is no one to get in contact with to resolve this issue!! I ordered something for my son and apparently it was delivered to the wrong person or someone stole it!! I need a customer rep to contact me on this matter asap!! This is wa waste of me spending my money if my package cant get delivered to the correct address!!! I am very angry and [email protected]
Best UPS center eve . Guy at the counter is one of the hardest working guys Ive ever witnessed. Ever since coronovirus hit, he has been the only employee working open to close by himself. He is a machine. I have great respect and admiration for him and for the service ups has provided during the pandemic. Ups is the only shipping company that is actually operating properly.
I had to pick up my delivery from here after driver ignored my signed delivery waiver. I had 3 items shipped; 2 by FedEx and 1 by UPS. FedEx left package at door after I signed waiver. I spoke to an UPS rep on the phone about this, who dismissed the whole thing. She did not seem to take my complaint; only repeated back I would pick up from Madison Heights. She told me the center was closed in Saturday and I would have to go on a weeknight. My drive is about 40 min to their center. When I went on a Monday after work, the sign said they are open on Saturdays. When I questioned this to the guy at the counter, he was also dismissive and said the sign on the door says were open. If a rep on the phone says something, I figure its accurate. I explained the issue with leaving the package, which he stuck it to the sender. He repeated when I told him how FedEx handled it differently and their own document instructs to sign so they will leave. He ignored me. He showed no concern and did not apologize for the inconvenience. When going there, know that they have two driveways. One with large signage for employees only and the public customer service with a sign on the street the size you would use for your house address. One star because it is the lowest you can select.
I’ve been inside a few times with great service and I had a package delivered to my parents house with a wonderful worker. A signature was not required, but he wasn’t going to leave it there if no one was home as it was a television. Some people may not like that, but I’m happy he wasn’t willing to let it sit outside. My mom also cannot lift a whole lot and he slid it into the house for her. Very happy customer here! 😊
Had a perishable food delivery scheduled for Thursday May 21- was on the truck and out for delivery at 9am. The driver was zig-zagging all over creation (going back into neighborhoods several times over, but all of a block or so over from where he already was an hour prior). Im staying home from work waiting for the delivery on account 99.9% of the time things get delivered either tight after Im on the way to work or within an hour of punching in. Based on where he is on the map, I know he isn;t getting to me any time soon, so my plan is to go to work, continue to track the delivery, and double-back home when it finally gets delivered.Its getting close to the end of day and the driver is right on the other side of the property, but all of a sudden the track info shows him going farther and farther away. Ultimately returning to the terminal with my frozen, raw chicken still on the truck. I call UPS and speak to a heavily accented woman who tells me the facility has been notified and the package will get early morning delivery.As of now (5PM) May 22, the package was STILL on the truck, zig-zagging all over the area; tracking info shows it was loaded on the truck around 3:25AM and went out for delivery at 9AM. So much for early morning priority.**UPDATE**The package returned to the terminal yet again Friday night with no delivery or attempt. I called the terminal direct and spoke to someone in charge of my areas deliveries to say at this point, dont bother trying to re-schedule the delivery. Its no longer safe etc. She replied with either she or another person would get back in touch with me after some do-diligence into locating the package; no contact was made.10PM Friday night I get an email from UPS stating my newly scheduled delivery is now Tuesday, May 26 (as I suspected the second it boomeranged back to the terminal).So there it sat, over the entire holiday weekend, until it finally got loaded on vehicle for delivery AGAIN. 7:22PM, May 26th, it finally shows up, but THIS time, I have a note taped to the door (per the UPS website) stating the package with {tracking number} from {sender} is refused and explain why (not being safe to eat on account of non-delivery multiple times and overall delay). It gets noted that The receiver does not want the product and refused the delivery.; Just a tad over simplified.8:26PM - The package has been damaged. All merchandise has been discarded and the sender will be notified.9:49PM - A hazardous materials irregularity occurred with this package. Well contact the sender with additional information.
Updated my delivery preferences to not require a signature after they clearly failed to knock and instead just placed a sticker on my door telling me to pick it up at the ups store. After the update, I requested they redeliver my package. Turns out, the delivery drivers dont know how to read, because once again, I got a notice saying that nobody answered the door, instead of leaving my package which I clearly authorized in their app, they took my package once again. Im considering consulting a legal team to find out if this is even legal.
So many delivery issues with trucks/drivers from this distribution center. I waited all day, tracked delivery truck today waiting for a time sensitive package I had to sign for. At 8:40pm, I saw the UPS truck zoom right past my condo! Then tracked him thinking he would back track to make delivery. NOPE! Left area and I tracked vehicle right back to Madison Heights distribution center. I will be filing a complaint, notifying shipper I cannot accept it because it had now been compromised and no longer viable. This is not the first time deliveries have been screwed up coming from Madison Heights!!
Guys that work here are kinda on the rude side. Whatever I guess. Kinda odd to ask someone to yell out there full name and address infront of a bunch of other patrons. Wheres the privacy in that? Why stop there ask me for my birth date and social security number while your at it. Honestly it doesnt require much effort to be polite and kind. Try it out you might like doing it. If your driving here for the first time watch for the signs dont pull into the wrong entrance. Parking is towards the left once you pass the gated entrance. They offer hand carts/trucks if your picking up a bunch of stuff. Saves on making multiple trips back and fourth to your vehicle.Okay I gotta update my review. After coming here several times the gentleman that work here are absolutely outstanding. There customer service is amazing. Yeah stuff gets screwed up thats life I guess you gotta learn to roll with the punches. Thanks for being honest and helpful everytime!
The UPS driver was in my neighborhood from 9 a.m. to after 2 p.m. I followed him on the tracking site. He circled within three blocks of my home four separate times. I never left my home. He never rang the bell, I checked the tracking and it said that no one was home and he didnt leave the package as a signature was needed. Why did he not ring the doorbell? Very disappointing. Idiot. Would love to change to a Fed Ex delivery.
Theyre nothing but a bunch of liars they said they couldnt deliver my package because the business was closed and Im not a business Im a residence and then when i calledAmazon because theres no way to talk to a person at UPS they did a three way call with UPS and they said they would send the driver back to my house with the package that day because they lied about delivering it. that was just another lie because nobody came and delivered it. I dont know why Amazon uses this shabby company to deliver packages theyre very unreliable
My package sitting there for two days. No delivery yesterday because of a made up natural disaster or too bad of weather. It was a small rain storm and everybody else delivered yesterday. Laziness never put it on the truck. All of my ups deliveries have been lateAll birthday presents I ordered ahead of time.
I was home waiting for delivery. Got several emails changing the time when my package was going to be delivered. The last change indicating a time frame between 5pm - 8pm. The last email I got was at 4:32pm saying sorry we missed you, next attempt will be made the following business day. I did not receive an info notice indicating the the driver made an attempt and I did not have anyone ring my door bell nor knock. The driver never showed up!
They took care of me customer service rep helped me take my package outside and load into my pick up truck. Thanks for your help I have disability that would keep me from getting big package into my truck. Security was nice they gave me my instructions on what to do and what time
This place sucks so bad. They delayed my package a day and then when I spoke with someone from the store I wish I asked her name but I was so pissed off I didnt think to ask her. I specifically told her (after she stated to me my package might be delayed for a second time) that if that be the case I would rather pick my package up dont put it back on the truck for a 3rd time. She turns around and stop my delivery and put in the system I requested to pick it up. Thats not what I told her. Thanks a lot for not listening to the customer and doing what you wanted to do. I wasted 2 off days waiting on a package I had to sign for that I never received. FYI UPS if you delay a person package then when that package go out for the second delivery it should be made a first priority not a last priority thats bad customer service. Whats the use of paying for a 2 day delivery when it been 4 days and still no freaking package and the facility is only 2 miles away from my home.
Everytime i walk in this place, they make me feel like i am bothering them. They have more signs posted about not using your cell phone than how to send a package. The guy at the counter was annoyed i asked for an envelope because there are none in the lobby because they are too lazy to fill them.
I know they are busy with the holiday season upon us but I have been waiting 3 days for a package. Tracking said it would be delivered on the 11th. It never arrived. You would figure that it should be delivered the next day right? Tracking said it would be delivered on the 12th now. Nope. Here it is the 13th and they have already change the time window. I am not holding out much hope. I will probably have to pick it up if I ever want to see it. I was planning to set this up this weekend but I doubt that will happen.

Very unprofessional employees at this office. Because of the fact that one of their employees didnt gave me ALL the packages, I had to drive back there the next day for the other box losing 30 minutes for the road & wait as well gas and money. UPS couldnt change the shipping from picking at location to delivery at home when I called them and explained the fault of their employee. Or UPS just didnt wanted to.HIGHLY INADVISABLE. Not only this place, but the whole UPS .
I ordered two packages that were to be delivered by Monday. They both arrived at Madison Heights hub on Friday - Monday came and went and so did Tuesday and Wednesday. Called first thing Thursday morning and was told they were undeliverable because there is no apt number listed. I live in a house with the address on the mailbox and the front of the house - how are the packages undeliverable? Then they say I could either pick them up or they will deliver sometime on Friday. Are you kidding?! Thosw packages were to be at my door by Monday and they expect me to go get them or wait another day? Oh hell no! Those packages better arrive today! And they better train or fire the driver as its obvious he/she was either too lazy or blind
Terrible service...paid for next day. Still havent received package. Call to get status update. Package loaded on the wrong truck and now is lost. Despite the fact I called earlier when I noticed it wasnt on the regular UPS delivery route. Had to call 3x just to get the same response. Suppose to received a call in 40 min to see if package was found or not. Still no call. Oh and might I add I been home ALL day to receive package because it had to be signed for. WORST experience ever!!!!!!!!
Theyre a bunch of liars and management doesnt reprimand their employees. They give you the runaround if you try to get your already hopeless situation fixed and theyll insult you to your face. Youd think in 2020 there would be better service or some kind of accountability, but unfortunately this is not the case.
The man who helped me was not friendly. I only came to pick up a package and as I entered I was greeted with a ton of signs that said no cell phones. I figured maybe there was a legitimate reason why, like maybe theyll blow something up or whatever because the signs were EVERYWHERE. Then I started to worry because of course I brought my phone in with me and one sign said absolutely no phones past this point. It was in my purse but I still asked him where should I put my phone, back in my car? And he said very rudely just dont TALK on it while youre up here. Wow. Seriously, do you need a thousand signs just to tell people not to be on their phones while theyre at the counter? Im in customer service too, and that is super extra...
If I could give no stars I truly would. The delivery guys are terrible at this location I purchased something for a trip and needed in 2 days I even paid extra for 2 day shipping for these fools not to deliver my package cause there behind in shipments. They didn’t notify me at all I had called customer service at 7:36pm and the rep told me my package was on its way. Now it’s 8:25pm and still nothing I checked my shipping and the driver put in delayed because of the weather the lies that this driver told was some straight bs no bad weather here. But no one knows who suppose to reimburse me my 2 day shipping. I will never deal with ups again FEDEX from now on!!! They are terrible
I am leaving this review due to a reckless driver you guys have. On this day on dequindre I watched you driver almost hit me and 2 other cars. Truck number was 153259. And your automated system doesnt have an option for this. And the gentleman on the phone was no help.
UPS Madison Heights drivers claim delivery attempts when they really havent. Twice I have been home ALL DAY. I live in an apartment. The first claimed attempt the driver just placed an attempt sticker on the glass door downstairs (with no apartment number and did not ring my buzzer). The second time, not only did he not ring my buzzer, he didnt even leave a sticker (which proves that he did not even come out). They just mark in the computer an attempt, which is false. Had to go pick up myself. Fortunately the onsite staff was very nice and helpful.
Horrible ! They dont even deserve one star! UPS driver dont even knock on the door to even see that your home they just leave a missed note. Then when you call the customer service they cant help you at all! I wouldnt ever suggest everybody to get something shipped though UPS! I would rather travel miles to where my package is coming from then to go though them!
UPS is the devil for delivery services. They are inflexible, drivers dont leave packages even when you sign the InfoNotice slip, and then the pickup centers dont have hours that are available to most working people. In the year 2018 I shouldnt have to drive an hour round trip to wait in line to pickup a package.
I had an item shipped two day delivery. It got to Madison Heights and should have gone out for delivery by day 2, but somehow they lost it. How? Its unacceptable. Good thing the company I bought the item from was amazing. They gave me my money back despite it being UPSs fault.
My kittens eye drops were supposed to arrive on Thursday or Friday. It said they were delivered yesterday, Monday, but to the wrong address. I cant get through to anyone on the phone. The robot cant understand the tracking number when I read it to her. The pharmacy I ordered from called UPS, but they havent gotten back to either of us. My kittens vet had been testing him being off of the drops, but it became clear that he needs them. The vet prescribed him more to be ordered asap. Without those drops, my cat is going blind from a viral infection that is affecting his eyes. Since hes been off of the drops, one of his eyes is milky looking and both are reflecting orange even in the daytime. These are $80 eye drops that can only be ordered through a compounding pharmacy. They should not be missing.Updated to 3 stars because they did get my package back and get it to me the next day. Low rating is only for slow delivery and being unable to talk to anyone on the phone. The pharmacy worked with them to fix the situation.
Hands down the WORST OPERATED business Ive ever seen in my life. Not only is UPS the biggest joke of delivery services and probably one of the worst companies in the country. This station is a living example of how horrible they are. They never answer there phone, packages always getting lost, stuff never gets to its destination on time. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!
I use this place a lot, and call for them to hold customer orders so I can pick them up at lunch. Now Tanya tells me to go to the 800 number to play phone tag, then I call back and they pick up and hang up. When I go to pick up the guys are always talkin and making people wait just so they can talk as they look at you...I could go on. Its hard to be a small business and fill orders when 1. They drop off to your house at 830 at night and 2. When you go to get it its just as much of a hassle. Might have to pay the extra for fed ex at least they work with you.
This is a pathetic store with pathetic and liar drivers. I ordered an item from Amazon and they failed the delivery saying that no one was there at home. My wife was there at home the whole day and she confirmed that they didnt even ring the bell once. Many people had similar experience with drivers particularly in this store. Avoid else suffer.
Madison Heights delivery driver threw my package of live fish on to my porch. The package was clearly marked live fish and rush perishable but the driver never knocked on the door. He threw it knowing there were live fish in the box. Two of my fish ended up dying due to stress caused by the incident.
I wish I could give less than one star. The driver buzzed every apartment number but mine to enter my apartment building & gave my package to the first person he saw standing in the hallway. An employee by the name of Arlene at this location was very rude, condescending and unprofessional while I tried to get the situation resolved. Extremely disappointed.
I ship pistols from here and the men have questioned me and joked about it every time; I know it is because I am a woman. Once when I was here I asked for a box and bubble wrap and before he went to get the items, the associate looked at me and asked You know you have to pay for them, dont you? I was offended, of course I knew I had to pay for things I buy at the UPS Customer Center. The workers here are a few cookies short of a picnic.

2022-08-16They marked my perishable package as delivery attempted while we were literally sitting next to the door. It will now rot and theres nothing customer service or the hub will do about it. UPS is awful.Edit: They responded 15 mins later saying reach out if I need further assistance. UPS, I need the initial assistance you were contracted to perform. I want the package you agreed to deliver. Nothing more. How is this hard to understand? They must have laughed while writing their reply, sitting on my rotting food.Edit: The food came, three days late, thawed with no more dry ice. They let 28 pounds of meat just rot... and no one will be held accountable for it.

2022-06-15Constantly wrong on delivery dates and times. Only benefit over usps is that you get the package at some point. 3 packages from same location in the same order and they only delivered 2 and say the last one will be the next day or two. I paid for next day shipping. All service industry is trash.

2022-03-18The drivers are always excellent. Courteous & professional. The ups on Whitcomb was disappointing. I’m not sure where the ‘out to lunch’ sign was, but I didn’t see it. I was told after I went into their outside building that it’s ‘right on the fence’. I don’t understand ups closing for lunch. It seems ridiculous. And If you must close, at least put up a sign that’s easily seen. Otherwise, as I said, the drivers and deliveries are always excellent. I’d give them 5 stars. But closing for lunch and not placing good signage is pitiful.

2022-06-20They made one attempt to deliver (signature required) on June 16th 2022 with this notice and never came back! I still cant find the package. They did not drop it off at the noted location.

2021-11-13Im only rating the gentleman that works behind the counter on weekdays. His customer service skills and general attitude was exemplary. Its such a relief to have a kind, helpful and patient person waiting on you. I got there right after they opened after lunch. While I was there, the lobby went from just me to approximately 8 people and he handled everything in stride. I wish he was on my staff!

2022-02-10If I could give UPS 0 stars I would. Their drivers still packages and their investigators try to intimidate you with the police and now look who had to get the police involved after two stolen packages
