Urgent Care - Waterford in other cities:
So I went to see the doctor earlier today like about 2pm. I called an hour before. I explained myself first before I went there. I understand it is pandemic and Im fully vaccinated. Soon I get to the room the nurse being Rude and told me We dont treat sick people here. I was like WHAT. Unprofessional! The doctor on the other hand he is really nice. Thank you!
Terrible experience! The receptionist was EXTREMELY RUDE! She should not work in a health care facility! My son was there as a new hire for St Joseph Mercy Hospital and needed to have a drug screen. As a result he held his urine until he got there. He was very uncomfortable and she made him wait 45 minutes. She could have cared less and has no compassion!
My child twisted their ankle, they were in pain. Everyone here is great! Michaelyn and Andrea at the front desk are so nice! They have wheelchairs you can use to get someone out of your car. Tina and Kim were the MAs, and they were very empathetic. Kim fixed the height of the crutches, to better help my child. Kipp is the PA we saw, he was kind and caring. We even got a note to get out of gym! I am impressed!I am so glad they were more interested in my child than in getting my credit card information!
Worst experience ever! Saved a spot in line to AVOID waiting forever...ended up waiting for THREE hours after having a strep test done within the first 10 minutes and finding out it was positive. Still had to wait 2.5 hrs for doctor to WRITE a script. End up leaving, go to pharmacy just to find out within the 40 mins before going the script wasnt called in yet. Finally 4 hours after my appt time we are getting our medicine and able to go home. WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE. TERRIBLY SLOW.
St. Joes Urgent Care of Waterford desperately needs to update the information here on Google and on their website. The phone number for the urgent care is no longer accurate. The urgent care is a well clinic, which means that they do not treat anyone that is symptomatic. If you are, they will helpfully set up an appointment for you at the Lake Orion clinic. Nice, but when you live 5 minutes away from the Waterford location, it is disappointing, especially when you are sick. It is a beautiful location, and they have done a nice job of repurposing a vacant building. The staff there seems nice and professional. However, sick residents in Waterford deserve better service.
Went in for high blood pressure. My reading at home was over 150/100. When this so called nurse took my BP, she said my BP was 120/80, perfect reading right? Today my reading was 175/96 at CVS.. They treated me like someone who just went in for meds, I was sick and asked them for help and was treated poorly. Dr should have rechecked that reading instead he basically told me that I was just having BP spikes and would be fine with a diuretic.
Been here twice now with my significant other and both times we went we had a good experience. The staff seemed to genuinely care whilst also being laid back enough that the experience was very comfortable. Almost like talking to a friend about things going on. Im not sure what others peoples issues with this place are but I have zero complaints. Probably just a bunch of entitled impatient people that forget that the nurses and doctors are people too.
I went to Urgent Care on Labor Day Sept 2020. The Covid-19 protections in place are excellent! Location was very clean, well laid out for social distancing. The staff is very experienced, very courteous, very thorough.I had to wait for a little while as a more serious urgent care emergency was ahead of me. That is totally fine with me. The purpose of Urgent Care is to help those in life threatening urgent need. My need was-not life threatening. Waiting as needed is no problem at all.Trinity Healths St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital and its Doctors are my choice for Remarkable Medicine. Remarkable Care. They are the best in the Tri-County area. I would not go anywhere else! Thanks St. Joes for all you do in Michigan.
This was probably one of the worst Urgent Cares I have ever been to. I waited in the waiting room for about 2 hours, then once I was finally pulled back I felt so rushed by the tech. I was then left in a room for another 50 minutes waiting for the doctor. Once the doctor came into the room, it was the most rushed physical I had ever had. He had to have conducted the entire physical in 5 minutes tops. If you can avoid going here then do that.
This is the worst urgent Care Ive ever been to and Ive been to a lot! as of right now I have been waiting here three and a half hours with a severe migraine with my 4 and a half year old son in the room. After 3 hours and 15 minutes of waiting, I asked how much longer. the nurse said a while longer because there were still two patients ahead of me that she was extremely rude and then went on to say that this is normal amount of time to wait at an urgent care.I told her I have never had to wait this long at an urgent care for a simple toradol shot and she just said were always busy.Rude staff, incredibly long wait times-I wish I would have read the reviews before coming here and chosen another urgent Care.I recommend you choose another there are plenty of good ones in Waterford!
Took my daughter here today with stomach pain. They took a urine sample, touched her stomach a little and sent us home with a RX. 4 hours later we are at DMC children’s ER being sent by ambulance to the hospital for appendicitis. This place did absolutely nothing to look into her stomach pain. Very disappointed!!
Staff was very friendly, but wait was awful. Arrived before they opened at 9am. I was the second person to turn in my registration paperwork. They did warn me they were on a new computer system, so it might be longer than usual. I was called back to a room at 1045. The first patient at 1030. I suspect thats when the doctor arrived. Otherwise, I not sure why it took an hour and a half to call the first patient. Happy with treatment, but probably wont return.
Sunday was so nice (as were all the people there). I went for pre-employment screening and was treated with respect and kindness. I was probably there for an hour in total... that includes screening, blood drawing, and seeing the doctor. I would definitely be back if I needed urgent care.
I am so surprised at all the negative reviews, I was checked at front door, temp taken, Given a dab of sanitizer. I was there at 4:30 no waiting checked in and put in room. All nurses great. Checked by PA & then Doctor. Suggested I needed a prescription. It was called into CVS. & it was ready when I got there. EZ, PZ. Yes I would recommend. Sorry other Folks had such a long wait. Maybe things have improved, hopefully.
This is the worst urgent care I have been to in my whole life. I have been waiting for two hours for a urine drug screen !!!!! Never in my life have I had a patient wait over two hours to just leave urine ,this is just terrible . The office was not busy, and front desk extremely inefficient in coordinating patient needs. For someone to wait over two hours to leave urine is unacceptable! If I had to see a provider I would understand , but to leave urine ? I wouldn’t even give this place a two stars . St Joseph Mercy Hospitals are the best health care systems I have ever been a part of ,but this urgent care is a disgrace ! I am so livid , completely inconsiderate of people’s time . No sufficient explanation given to me for the wait ,Just terrible. I would never treat my patients that way !
An hour prior to closing, I called and made sure we would be able to be seen. I clarified we would take around a 20 minutes to a half hour to get there, and the receptionist told no worries the last walk-in they accept is at 2:59pm. Upon arrival, the door is locked and lights turned down. As we first attempted to pull on the locked door, it made a slight noise which the lady at the desk heard and she continued to ignore. I wait a second and decide to knock. The lady at the desk comes over and doesn’t even have the courtesy to open the door to speak. She moves the curtain to the side and stares at us. Looking at us as if we are disturbing her. I asked if they decided to close early, she stuttered a little and told me that the doctor is sick and they decided to shut it down. So I said, “when I called less than 30 minutes before, you didn’t think to include the information that the doctor is feeling well and they may close early?..” Still with 30 minutes until close, they recommended their second location in White Lake, over 5 miles in the opposite direction. Completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this location to anyone, not if you want to be treated like a patient instead of an inconvenience.
Should not be called an urgent care if you refuse to care for patients. Call it a clinic, call it an office... call it a wellness center as the lady at the desk said to me. But, if you are going to refuse treatment based on insufficient knowledge, you are not providing care that is due process nor urgent to the people of the community.
Much better options available elsewhere, based on my limited experience. I went in with flu like symptoms, and was told that it would be at least a 2 hour wait - but that there was no wait at their White Lake location so I should try there. I drove down to the White Lake location (a real treat with a fever over 101 and a headache), just to be told that it is now a family practice and that I have to go back to the Waterford location. No thanks. I found another urgent care on the way that has far better reviews and only a 15 minute wait.
It was very easy and efficient to save my spot online when I needed to be seen last Sunday. However, the treatment was terrible! I wanted to be seen because I had pain when walking and swelling in my Pinky toe. I hadn’t injured my toe in anyway. I initially saw a medical student that was Fabulous!! However, after questions and having me walk, I assume he wasn’t 100% sure what was the problem. I then saw a PA, who came to the conclusion that I had plantar fasciitis... which was BS! As I had no classic signs of that. Fast forward, I went elsewhere and have cellulitis. After my experience and after preferring care within the St. Joseph medical system for years; I can wholeheartedly say I’m switching to an entirely different medical system.
Arrived shortly before noon on a Saturday to get blood drawn in advance of a visit with my primary care doctor. Normally I go to the White Lake office as its closer to my home but it was closed today. There were 2 other families in waiting area when I arrived, so it wasnt crowded. 20 minutes after giving receptionist my insurance card, she asked for spouses birthdate (insurance is in their name) which caused me to wonder what they were doing all that time (and she mis-entered it as I had to tell her again a couple of minutes later). Finally after waiting for over an hour I finally had several vials of my blood drawn quickly & efficiently (only reason why Im giving it 2 stars). My primary complaint is that they didnt tell me what the approximate wait time would be (maybe the bloodwork nurse just left on a lunch break), but they also didnt tell wait times to the other persons who arrived after me. But hey I caught the first half and the half-time show for the Xavier/Providence game.
I am a caretaker and brought my client to the urgent care after contacting her doctor and he advised me she needed to be seen. The physician she saw was rude, arrogant and basically angry that she was taken in. I would not give this place even one star! The worst bedside manor I have ever experienced.
There were only two other people here when we came and we waited for over 3 hours before we were seen by a doctor! Came because we needed X-Rays and tried getting in before they closed to avoid driving to the hospital and that didn’t happen not once did a nurse come check on us or update us at all.
Longest wait of my life. I went there for pre-employment screening. I arrived at 10am and signed in, gave them my ID, at 11:30am I asked if I would be out in enough time to make it to my 1pm fingerprint appointment and she said it would be close but yes. At 12:17pm I approached the front desk lady and asked how much longer because I really had to use the bathroom, she said she had just started registering me for it. She was rude and rather continue chatting with her loud mouth friend 2 stations down then proceed with her tasks at hand. An hour later someone comes and grabs me and takes me to use the bathroom and tells me I might want to come back tomorrow for my TB as it probably wouldnt be done any time soon. With my current job I have had to go to the CONCENTRA in Romulus, you know one of the only 24hr concentras around... its always packed and busy. Ive never waited the time I had to wait at this one. I have never experienced the rudeness of the staff and neglect of care for patients.
I go here frequently to get bloodwork done for my parents. Good reception, good staff, just expect to wait if its busy. If its not an emergency, consider calling first to see how busy it is. The few times Ive seen doctors here, they do seem like theyd rather be doing something else.
This is honestly embarrassing and unprofessional. I refuse to go here now. I wait three hours to see a doctor, when there was literally two people in the waiting room. Not only did I wait three hours but, I saw the doctor for six minutes. The doctor thought just because the strep throat results came back negative, that it was okay to COMPLETELY disregard the fact that I have throat pain. Then continued to check my ear out and tell me I have an ear infection, and then leaves.
We went to Urgent Care for a broken arm and the staff was great - Judith, Andrea, Lisa, Sonia, and Peanut - Peanut was the nurse that helped my wife with x-rays and she was especially caring. Dr. Razook was professional and along with the staff took great care of my wife. Thank you.
Rude front office staff. Went there twice, and stopped once I found another urgent care. It does not matter what day they are always packed. I am not sure if the staff just are tired, or what, but when you dont feel good you want good care. I would rate waterford a 2 star and white lake 1
Had to go here for a pre-employment physical, every other place I have gone in the past; Ive been in and out in less then 45min. Its been about 3 hours and counting as a write this review. People seem nice enough but wait times are way off the norm. *it does not even look backed up.
Was told by the receptionist that We dont treat sick people. Were not that kind of urgent care, we are more for things like stitches. Even after mentioning that we had nagative covid tests, we were still turned away.I have NEVER heard of an urgent care turning away patients, especially a child!!!!
I went into this urgent care so that me and my daughter could get seen. the Dr told me my daughter had a ear infection. He told me I had a bad cough and then I asked him could he look at a rash I had on my leg and he told me that he couldnt look at everything all at once that he can only look at 2 things which made no sense to me at all I thought it was a urgent care when they check you out guess not I will never go back and I feel bad that we have doctors like this that are out here working.. sad..
Worst experience ever. Went once and will not return. Too many people in waiting room led to a very long wait. Prescriptions not filled as required. Took me several calls to try to get prescription and after waiting over a week for a response was told the doctor would not fill it.
What kind of urgent care closes at 3:00? Seriously, came here yesterday too, at 5:45 and the doors were locked and they were supposed to be open until 6. If you are only going to be open during(or less than) regular business hours, please dont call yourself an urgent care.
OK I am a twin my brother went in for some testing and billed me not him been telling them what happen for weeks now and nothing even sent it to a collection agency hoping it goes on my credit report than seeing a lawyer on it I spent hours on this finding out everything for them and nothing

2022-01-20Been coming here for about 2 years. Primary care and urgent care both provide good service. Offices are always clean and the staff is really nice. Love that I’m always able to get in even with my busy schedule.

2022-01-11The doctor and nurse were great however the staff that checks you in and makes sure your child’s account is linked properly so you can get results is lazy or uneducated on how to do their job. I witnessed her process others the same way she handled our account and it was nothing but a run around and complete inconvenience. Took 6 days to get actual results and had to physically go back to the location with my child for a copy. All because she didn’t file the signed form for advanced proxy permission. I get this position is an entry level job but a little bit of pride and accountability goes a long way.

2022-04-04Absolute worst place in the world waited over 3 hours for a new hire drug tests. It seemed like they where drawing names out of the hat. Some people where only here 3 mins one guy said he was waiting 4 hours….. the older lady was so rude and clueless ! I can’t wait to never come here again.

2022-01-07Was sent to this Urgent Care for a pre-employment physical. Made an appointment 2 days in advance and after waiting 40mins past appointed time was told appointments do not really mean anything. Was called over and told they didn’t know what they were supposed to do. I had to leave due to another appointment. Finally completed physical the next day after contacting my new employer. Will never set foot in this facility again.

2021-11-30Ive been here several times, the only positive parts of my experiences have been the receptionists (who really do seem to be trying their best). Unfortunately, even if you have an appointment and arrive on time, youll have to wait in the lobby for a few hours after that scheduled time to actually be seen--It doesnt matter if you go morning or afternoon. The actual medical staff have had poor attitudes every time Ive gone in. It seems more like a factory than a medical care facility. This is super unfortunate, as the demographic they serve doesnt seem to have many other options for medicine. All people deserve to be treated with dignity, no mater their socio-economic background. This office needs to step it up. The nurses and doctor got agitated when I asked questions (ex: how is this test conducted? I havent done one before. Reasonable things to ask). Additionally, one of the nurses trash-talked the receptionists to me. It was completely uncalled for and unproductive. A nurse wouldnt close the door, even when she was asking me to verbally give my ssn... I dont trust this facility. I consider myself very fortunate that I dont have to go back anymore, but some people dont have other healthcare options. Im leaving this review in hopes that the staff will pick up their game. As medical professionals, it is your duty to care for and help people in need.

2022-01-06They told me to use the web page. It didnt work after entering the information several times. Still she insisted it worked. I went home tired it from the computer. It worked but said ere are no visit times available for online scheduling right now. If this message appears during normal office hours, you can still come to the facility and youll be seen based on the order of arrival. and she already told me no walk ins. Then after all that the receptionist told me I could apply a midnight for new appointments and I set my clock got up at midnight but she lied again.

2021-10-04Made an appointment to avoid such a wait 2 plus hours and counting. Front staff is rude and doesn’t have good office management skills. When I inquired about such a long wait they brushed it off.Judging by the complaints the office knows but chooses not to fix any issue. The office isn’t packed either. As a health care professional this is just not ok. First and LAST time. They may choose to ignore the issue but I will not choose to support a place that doesn’t care about its patients time or needs. 0000 stars recommended.

2021-12-08I used to visit this place. However, I lived with one of there workers for 16 yrs. I used to get reminders for test, appointments, etc. Once the ex walked out, I havent received one notice about when test are due, referrals...... NOTHING! Would I recommend this place, absolutely NOT, they care about the money, NOT THE PATIENT!! Now, I am in the process of looking for another primary care provider.
