Varsity was the 3rd Ford dealer I contacted to get an Explorer. The other 2 noted they didnt have any that fit my parameters. Shane at Varsity was able to find something within a few days. He was great to work with. No high pressure and felt he was getting me the best deal. Highly recommended.
Working with Karen S at Varsity is a great experience. She is very knowledgeable and shows you all the options for lease or purchase. She is a no pressure salesperson and lets the vehicle and the deal sell itself. Whether buying or leasing, Karen will show you all the discounts available to make sure you get the best deal. She takes the stress out of buying a new vehicle.
Varsity Ford made our day. My wife, 3 year old daughter, my dog and myself were stranded at a rest area an hour and a half from home with an overheated car we couldnt drive that needed to be towed. We called everywhere and got the same response Were booked for a week or two. We called Varsity Ford and spoke with Kyle in the service department and told him our situation and he said they should be able to look at it today but theyre extremely busy as well. We asked him if they figured out what it was if they could make the repair today, he said he couldnt make a promise but if the repair wasnt major than it was possible. We ended up having the car towed there and within an hour they had a diagnosis. We needed a new water pump and it was covered under our warranty with only a $100 deductible. We were literally mind blown from the great news!! They didnt havent the part in stock and had to go pick it up from another location and we thought we wouldnt have it repaired today. WRONG!!! Kyle said they would go and get the part and could have it installed and done by 4 pm the same day. They not only were true to their word but they provided a courtesy vehicle so we could go and get some food. We truly appreciate the service and work done by Varsity Ford and highly recommend them to anyone. THANK YOU!
I brought my Malibu in at this location after a terrible accident. My car needed a lot of work. Staff were so friendly and on top of getting my car complete. They communicated with me often to give me updates and took care of all the paperwork. (Thank you Keisha!) If you are looking for a company that cares about YOU and not just your business go to Varsity Ford!
The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced anywhere, period.Communication between my service representative takes days, if not weeks, if ever to respond to inquiries.Service department has taken my vehicles for weeks/months at a time. Charged me for repairs and after a short period, the check engine light miraculously appears again. I get told that I dont drive them enough. What kind of solution is that? If there is a problem, give me an appropriate solution other than blame me for it. If the engineering is faulty, come up with a suitable solution. The last straw was after having my vehicle for over a month I get the textUnfortunately we have confirmed that our diesel tech will no longer be with us by the end of next week. I apologize as this is something that only came up this week, and was confirmed yesterday. I will no longer be able to handle the oil leak unfortunately.I get their is a labor shortage however these vehicles have been in and out of the dealership for well over a year with nothing to show for it.
My favorite Ford Dealership. John Camilleri just helped with my second lease from Varsity Ford and every thing went out great. He is always responsive, promptly helpful and exceed my expectation. The entire process of ordering, delivery was smooth and quick. I can always trust Varsity Ford Dealership with my future purchase or service needs.
Thank You Lance Maze, Wesley, and the Ford Service Technicians at Varsity Ford Ann Arbor!I have new tires with a price guarantee, insurance and new wipers. Plus a rebate on the tires. Now I know Ford has more than one page for owner support. They took the time to make sure every detail was correct. The service was completed in less time than expected. Wonderful.
Ask for Amanda Roach, she is the best! Amanda is amazing and makes the ordering and purchasing process exceptionally smooth. Amanda goes above and beyond and was very helpful and insightful during the ordering process for my F150. This is my third vehicle through Varsity Ford during the past ten years. The entire team at Varsity Ford is extraordinarily customer-focused
Arranged a new-car deal with Varsity, worked out a trade-in and financing. Then the day before I was to pick up the new car, the salesman calls and retracts one of the promised discounts. Its only about $1,700 (difference), he says. Glad to hear that $1,700 is pocket change for someone. We didnt go through with the purchase.
Absolute fantastically smooth and enjoyable buying experience. Shane Smith and Mgr Sean Lechner make the process from start to finish a simple process and Shane delivered my truck to me personally cutting down the trips to the dealership. I highly recommend contacting them for your buying needs. This was our third purchase and we’ll be back when we’re ready for another.Mark
Took my 2022 F350 diesel in for a “diesel oil change works package”. As noted on the invoice the cost is $169.99. I was notified my vehicle was ready to pick up I was charged $205. I was told oil had gone up a dollar a quart so was wasn’t I charged an extra $13 not $75. Why wasn’t that brought to my attention before my vehicle was serviced. We have bought many vehicles from varsity and have been loyal customers for some time. Very dissatisfied with this transaction.
Highly recommend! Ford was not our initial plan but after meeting Sian we ended up purchasing our car here! He tried to make things work for us. He patiently walked through all the details we need to know and answered many questions we had as its our first time buying a car.
John Camilerri was a great salesman. He answered all my questions as I was waiting for my explorer to get built. He always texted me or called me right back when I had a question. When the car arrived he got me squared away instantly. He kept me up on all my rebates and savings. Made me feel confident in my purchase. I will be back to varsity. Cheers
Just purchased a Maverick from Varsity Ford, I was recommended by a friend to call Bill Harb. Bill was awesome! Got everything thing ready for me when my truck came in, and even helped me get accessories and parts for it. I love my maverick and I greatly appreciate Bill Harb from the whole sales process to even lost sale process.Thank you Bill! Definitely give him a call if you’re looking at Varsity Ford!
Some minor hick-ups aside, I think Varsity Ford team did a great job with my purchase experience considering all the constraints they face now a days with delays from Ford etc. This was my second truck purchase from Joe Stanford. The first one an CPO F-150 and now a Maverick. I made the delivery extra challenging for them this time with an out of state registration that Joes sales partner Mark Doyle handled very well because Joe was off that weekend, and I could not wait for another day for the truck that I waited for months since order (lol). Because I was pushing for an ASAP delivery, truck was missing a couple of dealer-installed options. That gave me the opportunity to visit their prep location and interact with prep technicians. The two gentleman I interacted with at the shop were very professional and friendly.Thank you Joe and Mark!
This service center is nonfunctional, dont waste your time. Have an issue that makes your car unsafe to drive? You can expect to wait 3-6 weeks for an appointment. No doubt, businesses are short on staff, but every other Ford service center in SE Michigan can book appointments within 2-3 days--including Briarwood Ford, 15 minutes away. No idea whats going on at Varsity, but you will get better service (and an actual appointment) calling literally any other service center.
I highly recommend Varsity Ford. Brad Bjorling has been managing my vehicle leases for 20 some years.Hes transparent, very open & honest. And definetly steered me right this time! Ordering before my lease was to expired, gave peace of mind with Locked In Pricing. Although optional, we determined, together, the right money down to make my monthly payment AFFORDABLE (not more than a housepayment!)I trust Brad and Varsity like family ... hmmm in some cases more than family. They have even delivered to my door when I lived outside of Michigan! They were the original sign n drive!
We were very unsatisfied with the purchase of my daughters vehicle at Varsity Ford. It took three hours for something that should have taken thirty minutes. Our salesman kept leaving us sitting at his desk to allegedly take care of some paperwork and would tell us he would only be gone a couple of minutes. More than once I had to go looking for him. No supervisor ever came out to speak to us regarding what was taking so long. At one point he blamed us for the process taking so long stating that we had not given him everything he needed although we had. He then tried to push a tire & wheel warranty past my daughter even though she did not want it. We have purchased many vehicles from another Ford dealership over the years and have never had experience like this. It truly seemed as if they did not care. This is the first and last time I will buy a vehicle from Varsity Ford.Thomas C. Eberts
Took my Ford Flex in to the service department to have the infamous internal timing chain driven water pump replaced. The mechanic assigned to take care of my vehicle did an excellent job, everything was reassembled correctly and everything looks as it did when it came from the factory.
May 2022 - Had our car in for software updates. Lance and his team persevered through challenging software updates due to Ford Corporate not having their act together, and working with Fords engineers got everything updated. Some dealers wont even try to update this car, but Varsity works hard to make the customer happy. At a recent EV show, I recommended Varsity to everyone that asked about my car. Couldnt be happier with the service, and the car.Great dealership. Matt Stanford and his staff are a class operation. We moved to the area years ago, and did business with a Ford dealership closer to our house. When our salesperson retired, we looked around a bit for a new relationship and Matt was very on top of things. Bought our first vehicle from him in 2018, they had no problem going to Wisconsin to retrieve it in a dealer trade. Just bought a highly sought after model from him, car was prepped perfectly (I have very high standards), Matt quickly got us the accessories we wanted, and is very receptive to dealing with Fords A/Z/D/X plan customers. Our few experiences in Service have been stellar, and just had a quick Body Shop fix that was done quickly and with a smile. Already placed another vehicle on order, and have reserved a 2022 model with Varsity. Varsity Ford truly provides great customer service in all areas, and I highly recommend them.
Purchased a certified pre owned vehicle less than a month ago with low mileage . No paperwork was given to me when I left the lot aside from odometer reading and temporary registration . I was told it would be mailed with my plate . Plate not received until days after the temporary one expired . Salesman made it seem like I was getting some great discounts but upon receiving final paperwork , ( you can’t read the one they give you to sign on site because it comes to your email and is in pin point font , plus they are rushing you through the process ) I basically paid the full list price. Haven’t even put 300 miles on it and transmission is already acting up , there’s a funny metal rattling sound on the drivers side somewhere ( which was there at test drive but I thought it was the dealer plate rattling in the window) and somehow I only have 23% oil life left even though it was supposedly just changed before I purchased it. Will also need brakes soon. I trusted this dealership because they had excellent ratings and reviews and a certified vehicle with only 21,000 miles on it SHOULD be trustworthy , and now I am wishing I had went somewhere else and will continue to spread the word about my experience in hopes I can save someone else this headache .
Last fall we ordered a 2022 Bronco Sport through our sales rep Jon Byrd. Jon helped us through the ordering process tremendously to get just what we wanted. When the vehicle arrived, we where wintering in Florida. Jon graciously personally delivered our new Bronco to Florida and took our old Lease vehicle back to AnnArbor. A big thank you to Jon Burd at Varsity Ford.
Of all the dealerships I have ever interacted with, this was one of the most no-nonsense, no-hassle, transparent and a honest dealership experience. A shoutout to Mark Freyberg, with whom I interacted throughout the buying process and my replies via email were less than a few minutes from the time I sent them! I ordered a custom vehicle from them on October21 (delivered March22) because: 1. Pricing structure was transparent and was sold at MSRP with no additional dealer markup 2. Took X-plan 3. Price of MSRP increased during production and varsity ford honored original price at the time of placing order without me mentioning anything at the time of purchase 4. Locked my incentives at the time of ordering, giving me freedom to use the incentives at the time of purchase or incentives offered during ordering 5. I had $0 deposit to for custom vehicle orders, which is outside the norm for other dealerships which require $500 deposit 6. Specifically instructed to not put any dealer sticker in & on the car, they obliged and even took out window sticker out before delivery 7. Did not push me to purchase anything I did not want, no hidden anything. I would wholeheartedly recommend Varsity Ford for a Ford purchase, one cant go wrong.
Ordered a part online for my MKX they sent me the wrong part.extremely hard to get anyone from there to call you back. Angie who works in parts is extremely rude and unprofessional. Dont order any parts online that are coming from varsity Ford worst experience ever online shopping! Get nailed on overpriced shipping come in and going in the worst part its their mistake and they wont know not to it.
Thank you Shawn for helping me get through the issue that arose today. I appreciate your time to look into everything and keep in touch with me through the whole thing. I would like to say a whole lot more but ... I just hope it hasnt and doesnt happen to anyone else. Thank you for being so kind and compassionate. You are great. Thank you!
I drive 25 minutes there as they had the car I selected on the internet available and on their lot availableIt was being used as bait to get you to their dealership so they could sell you what they had off their lot . But told most all on their lot were sold cars and not a one sold sign or sale pending on the cars in their lot! They told me the car was a preorder from customer but the blue sticker (dealer purchased) a green sticker is a preorder. I would never buy from a dealership who lies to their customer . Per sales manager it was sold , so I said do me a favor and the rest of the public take this car off your internet site or mark it sold and mark it sold on the car in your lot!!Sad experience never buy from a dealer that uses cars as bait to get you into their dealership just to sell you something else in their lot that hasn’t soldI was told it was a customer preorder when I came in and talked to a salesmanSo if it was pending and you said it was sold why was it not tagged as pending/sold and why was it setting out on the first row closest to the road . If it was a presage why was there a blue sticker and not a green window sticker ?Why was the on lot date back in February and this popular star white titanium edge w/Elite package still on the lot
If youre looking for a less busy time at Varsity then schedule late Friday for an appointment!Had a 3:15 PM appt. for a wait for it oil change appt. No line to drive into the garage, almost zero people in the waiting room and my car was done and out FAST.Ill be scheduling on late Fridays (checking to make sure its not a holiday weekend of course) now.
I had an awesome experience at Varsity Ford. My salesperson was Jeffrey Scott, whom I highly recommend. He was in constant contact with me on the progress of my loan, when I could come out for a test drive, and when I could pick the vehicle up. He explained the loan documents thoroughly and explained what steps I should expect next in with each step of the buying process. Jeff was very knowledgeable about the cars and took the time to give me a thorough tour of my new car and it’s accessories. He also took the time to know me as a human being rather than it just being strictly business. I’d buy from here again in a heartbeat! Thanks Jeffrey Scott for your help with buying my new 2020 Ford Explorer XLT!
Ive loved my experience with Varsity. I ordered a Bronco through Varsity and have had an extremely positive experience since day one. Every question has been answered thoroughly and timely, customer service has been top of the line! Best vehicle experience Ive had and expect to continue using Varsity for future purchases.
I have worked with many dealerships over the years and Varsity Ford has really given me the best experience. I purchased a used truck and there were some extra details I needed addressed. Tom was right on top of it and personally made sure things were taken care of. Varsity will definitely get future business from me and I will recommend them to others as well.
I made a service appointment 3 weeks in advance for my wifes vehicle. When making the appointment the lady said that the vehicle would be diagnosed on Friday, kept with parts shipped over the weekend, and fixed/completed on Monday. This seemed fine to me. I dropped off the vehicle that Friday morning and after not hearing anything by mid-afternoon I texted the Service Advisor who said the vehicle was still waiting to be diagnosed and probably wont be figured out until Monday. I checked the Ford Pass App and it appeared that the vehicle hadnt been started since I left it at 9am. He then said they were busy, short staffed, etc... Needless to say the vehicle wasnt looked at until Monday, literally wasting 3 days of it just sitting there with no diagnoses or parts ordered. The problem was identified Monday and the vehicle was complete Wednesday. Im happy with the repair. (Not happy the sync module failed and was expensive just out of warranty, but thats Ford Motor Company not Varsitys fault) However, apparently having a service appointment with Varsity arranged 3 weeks prior doesnt mean much. There was no mention of asking staff to stay late or work over the weekend to catch up and accommodate my appointment. I would have appreciated a simple phone call the day before saying they were busy and needed to reschedule me (no problem) instead of being without the vehicle for 2 days longer than anticipated.
No even worth 1 StarI bought a 2013 ford escape from the dealership in April 2021.I have been cheated by the dealer. They said its a ford blue certified car and sold me a piece of junk. After driving it for 7000 miles in 8 months, it started giving me issues - the engine light turned on , engine coolant level dropped. I got the car checked from a good auto repair shop nearby. He quoted $1400 for the repairs. The dealership service team doesnt care much, they dont have appointment slots available till end of January 2022. I have been to the dealership a couple of times to get my car serviced but no luck.I had to get my car fixed from the local repair shop as I had no other option.Ford BLUE Certified is a marketing gimmick please dont fall for it.
Great service and customer experience. Tony was an excellent sales person and overall smooth transition. Everything was prepared as I was on a tight timeline and he made it a successful process. I truly appreciated his approach to the entire process and sale of the new F150. I am extremely happy with the overall experience at Varsity Ford. I would definitely get my next vehicle in 24 months from Tony.
What a great experience! I took my vehicle to varsity collision shop after an accident. They got me in quickly and immediately informed me once my car was delivered and what the game plan was. They did not have a rental car readily available for me, but the date that I was given that one would arrive was met. They utilize an automatic text service that updates you periodically on the status of your vehicle and what is being done. Keisha in collision is probably the best customer service professional I have dealt with at a dealership or auto repair shop EVER. Such a pleasant and professional demeanor. She always contacted me before I contacted her. I have never experienced a dealership where the person you need to speak with is readily available to speak with you. Every time I called, Keisha was there to answer my questions. I was given a projected completion date and my vehicle was ready three days in advance. I was treated better at this dealership than I was from the dealership from where I have purchased multiple vehicles. I would highly recommend Varsity for all of your auto repair needs.
I just purchased a Ford edge from varsity ford and ve been buying and selling cars for 31 years and by far this is the best experience Ive ever had.. so Friendly, helpful and willing to work with my budget.. when I pick up my edge it was so clean and detailed inside and out... definitely will purchase all my new cars from them.
People there are nice, but their cars are junk. I bought a 2017 Ford Edge, 1,000 miles over the warranty the motor blew out. I got the car back last October, now it has intermittent starting issues. Took the car in 2 weeks ago, mechanics couldnt find an issue. Went out of town this past weekend, car wouldnt start, $100.00 tow bill later, called Ford today and all they say is bring it in we will look at it. When I asked for a rental, I was told to contact Enterprise or Hertz while they try to get my $42,000.00 car fixed. Next stop Honda. Never ever again will I purchase a Ford.05JAN2022UPDATE.. THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY $200.00 ABOUT A MONTH AGO. HAD A DR APPOINTMENT IN LANSING, MADE IT BACK HOME ALMOST AND NOW MY CAR IS DEAD IN GRASS LAKE. IT WONT START, LIGHTS ARE ON AND WONT SHUT OFF. IT IS 19 DEGREES OUTSIDE WITH WIND BLOWING LIKE CRAZY. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN THIS CAR.
Every time I go here I have very sub par service. My salesman watched me drive off the lot two times with massive swirls in the finish of the vehicle. David Byron sold me the super warranty that has done nothing with the transmission and paint finish issues I have had, all issues left unresolved with a weak and sassy transmission. I had a friend escalate my issues and I was given a… person who was inattentive, short, catty and disrespectful. I hate this place. My van has a giant rectangle stamped in the finish of the rear quarter panel with giant swirls all through the finish. I can’t even wax em out. The dealer has been… weak at least. I hate this car as a result and wish I could just return it. Do t get fooled into this mediocrity.
Awful just plain awful. I was in contact with Amanda Roach whom promised via phone/email that they were going to accept Ford plan X pricing. I drove 2.5 hours. Arrived at 2pm, 1 hour before closing. She shows me the car and right off the bat she tells me that she has no time and has to go to a birthday party and plans to leave ASAP then asks me if I’m going to buy the car and fill out the credit application. Then she assesses my trade and comes back will the lowest number for the trade on the internet and tells me that they will not honor X plan pricing and they want the sticker price plus extra $1000. Of course I walked out and she didn’t even try to stop or try to work out the deal (because she had birthday party to attend to).Update 10/11: Sales manager Keith Friday reached out to me. He was appropriate, nice and the kind of individual that knows customer service and how to get things done. Definitely recommend asking for Keith!
My wife and I had a not so great experience at another Ford dealer a few years ago and were really not looking forward to going through the lease process again...And then we gave Varsity a try and cant say enough good things about our experience. We didnt have a salesperson in mind when we walked in, but we were so happy to have met Bill Harb. We turned in our leased Escape in May, and then turned in our Fusion today. Bill is very easy to work with and very down to earth. He always followed up with any paperwork that was needed and was easy to communicate with. Bill, you have two customers for life. Thank you for all of your hard work, it is very much appreciated. If you are looking at purchasing or leasing a new Ford, go see Bill...You will not regret it!!!
I just got my F150 back from collision. It took more than 6 weeks to complete but the damage was $19,000 so I get it.Jeremy from collision kept in touch with me and although deadlines werent met they still made it right. When I got home with my truck and saw the mess my interior was in Jeremy sent out a courtesy vehicle and picked up my truck for cleaning. While it was back at the dealership Jeremy & Nathan gave me a great deal on tires and an oil change.....wow!Jeremy and I agree that a lot of things went wrong, but they were corrected in a timely manner and I am now a very satisfied customer. Thanks guys! All the staff I talked with were very friendly and now I have a favorite dealership. Thanks again and Ill see you when new trucks become available.
I bought a used vehicle two months ago at another dealership and didnt end up liking the vehicle so I went to Varsity Ford and had the pleasure of having Jerry Hobbs as my dealer. I come from a family car dealers so I know how they can be. To say Jerry is amazing is an understatement. He was not only NOT pushy (which I hate) but he treated me with total respect as a woman entering a typically male dominated arena and was beyond honest with the entire process from the condition of the vehicles to the warranty options to the financing. Not only was I made to feel confident with my purchase but I had the BEST time hanging out with Jerry while in between paperwork and car prep. I would absolutely recommend Jerry before any other sales person Ive ever worked with from any dealership. Including my own family! Honest, sincere, and entertaining made for a great salesman and fun purchase! Also, I appreciate how he made sure my new vehicle was cleaned and had a full take of gas when the other dealership left it dirty and on E for my ride home. Jerry youre the best type of salesman and for that matter human being!
My salesman was Jerry Hobbs. He was awesome to work with and has singlehandedly brought me from wanting to deal with my previous dealership to wanting to buy only from Varsity moving forward. I had a couple issues(out of Varsitys control) and the GM as well as Jerry have been awesome to deal with in working through my concerns quickly. Ill be placing an order soon for another vehicle and I know where Ill be going...Varsity with Jerry Hobbs!
Bought a new 2022 F150 from John Camilleri Just wanted to send out a huge thank you to him he had actually driven a pair of mudflaps from Ford for my truck all the way from Michigan and met me and Anna Maria Island that is huge customer service varsity Ford you have a client forever absolutely love my F150 as well thanks again John you’re a true awesome person
Dan Divens was the best salesman to deal with. I found online that Varsity Ford had the vehicle we wanted in stock, and Dan made sure we got the best price possible. I got a better price from another dealer with a different color and gave Dan the heads up, he quickly responded with a firm out the door quote that we couldnt pass up (mind you all this occurred on a very busy Saturday). He is very personable, family man that is also a veteran, we recommend Dan to anyone.
The service department at Varsity Ford is fantastic! Ray Hoyer and Mike Collins are very helpful and get the best prices around. I had to put new tires on my Ford Escape and Ray Hoyer matched competing offers. They are the best tires and worked great in the first 8 inch snow fall of the season! I will always go to Varsity Ford when my Escape or any future vehicle needs service!
Varsity Ford has always been my favorite dealer togo because they have of their huge selection of vehicles on 2 differentlots, not to mention a top notch part and service department. Just ordered a new 2022 Truck thru Brad Bjorling. I must have changed my ordered 6-7 times and Brad has been patient and politely accommodating every time. He truly is an awesome Salesman, who I highly recommend. He definitely earned his compensation on this sale. Previously they dealer traded, a personally selected Focus from a dealership in Chicago for me. Which I also bought thru Brad.
We leased our car from varsity Ford. When are lease was up we were over our mileage. We were dealing with Lee Remic. He was Abel to help us greatly. And we ended up buying it.Lee did a great job getting us back on the road. Great guy and company to deal with. Recommend them highly.
I just recently purchased a 2021 Ford F150 from Varsity Ford. Working with everyone was very easy. Ireland made sure to follow up with me weekly to schedule appointments and make sure my needs were met. Shannon Catlett was able to provide me all the information I needed and was very quick. He was able to search for all possible rebates I may have been eligible and he even picked me up on a Saturday to drive me to the dealership to pick up my new truck. Overall, it was a great experience and would highly recommend going here.
I went to another dealership before but Varsity had the exact model I wanted on the lot so I wandered in. I was introduced to Jerry who took the time to show me the vehicle and go through the numbers and get a quote for my trade in. It was very fast and I had the trade in number by the time I got back from my test drive. I was out of there in 2 hours with my new truck and it was a great experience. They just got a new customer thanks to Jerrys great customer service.
If I could give more stars I would. Our service was beyond amazing. We put a request in to test drive a car late in the evening. Thinking we wouldnt get a response until the next day. Within just an hours time I received confirmation and was told everything will be set up with Jim, Who come to find out is the best salesman on the floor. This company is just first class every you look, from their employees, their showrooms and service areas its beyond clean and more than comfortable. The staff is so friendly you wouldnt be sure if you were at a family function or buying a new car. They just treat you so nice. Well we bought a car before we even test drove it. Jim helped us. In fact he helped 2 people at the same time as we were his scheduled appointment he also sold a car to a guy who drove there from California just to buy a car from Varsity. Jim handled this entire process with ease and guess what, both of us left with new cars in a very short amount of time. We were so impressed I think Jim even impressed himself. I will be looking here first every single time I buy a new car. I drove an hour out of my way and it was worth it the other guy from CALI drove literally 40 hours out of his way and I know it was worth his while too. Jim P. Justin and the lady who set up the appt with Jim (I cant remember her name I think its Kelly or Jessica) are fine examples of make this dealership a first class establishment. Great prices, great people, great service. Whats the point of cutting corners when these guys do it right the first time. Put your trust in them and youll never have to look back. Ask for Jim but if he cant help you it obvious at a place like this youll always be in good hands.
Just leased my 5th car through varsity Ford and the experience could not have gone smoother or easier. My salesperson, Amanda was very friendly, helpful and professional. I was able to communicate primarily via text to arrange my appointments and vehicle selection which made it easier than the previous leases I’ve had. I also loved the online e-sign paperwork that I was able to complete before my appointment which saved tons of time at the dealership. Overall, I was in and out in less than 15 minutes riding away in my new car. Highly recommend varsity, and ask for Amanda she’s amazing!
I came across Varsity Ford driving down the street just looking for a used car 5 years ago. I met James Pellerito, he sold me and my wife a beautiful car still running great. We needed another vehicle, I called him up. He told me the vehicles there are so good he doesnt sell many cause people dont need to come back, lol. So I bought another vehicle from him, and he took care of everything. The staff is very respectful and professional 👏
We were totally impressed with Salesperson Debbie Treharne with my son purchase of a new vehicle. She was very polite and appreciate her kindness going thru the process of the purchase. I highly recommend purchasing a vehicle thru her and shes a credit to the Varsity Ford family. Thanks Debbie.
Very smooth experience over the week of thanksgiving. Jeff Scott helped me find all the discounts and incentives and put all the pricing options in front of me to help me make the choice that fit my budget and desired lease terms. Very happy with my experience thus far.
Just purchased a vehicle on 21 October 2021 from salesman Lee Dimic Jr and this was one of the easiest, smoothest, fastest vehicle purchases that I have ever made. He was honest and up front, handles all the financing and this was a very worry free process. If you are looking for a new vehicle ask for him.
Just purchased my 6th Escape from Varsity Ford! Shannon Catlet has been my Salesman for at least the last 4 cars. He remembers what I like, want or need and is able to pull it from inventory quickly. He is a wealth of knowledge about the cars and process of purchasing one. Ive always felt comfortable with Varsity both with buying my cars and the service needed to ensure the best performance.
Shane and the the crew at Varsity Ford know how to win my families business! Their dealership experience during COVID times, communication, inventory and attitude is bar none. They didnt pressure us into making a move, they helped us. Even through multiple visits, Shane and Varsity helped us select the right vehicles for the right value and price. I love my F-150. Theres no doubt these guys genuinely care about your well being and return as a customer.
Had a wonderful experience with Varsity Ford. I felt welcomed from the moment I stepped in the place. Amanda Roach worked with me to get the best car for me. She listened to my wants and needs, and got me the best deals. She was very personable and I felt very taken care of. I recommend her to all of my friends and family looking for new vehicles! Thank you Amanda!
This was the first time I leased a vehicle from Varsity Ford. Kyle House made it so easy for me, from picking out the car I wanted, trading in my old lease and and signing all the papers electronically. He stayed in contact every step of the way. And my new Explorer Sport was delivered to my house! By far the best experience I have ever had. Thank you again, Kyle!
If you’re looking for a new vehicle, ask for Eric Brodde. I was looking for a new ride and was going through the hassle of calling multiple dealerships. Eric made it a very quick and efficient process. For reference, we initiated contact on Tuesday and I got the new car on Friday. That was quick! He was quick to respond any questions I had, breaking down the numbers/options for vehicles, and applying the relevant promotions I qualify. Good experience and will be back! :)
My mother bought a brand new 2017 Ford Edge SE thatbhas been nothing but problems. 61k miles and the motor blew 1,000 miles over warranty and she was forced to pay for a rebuild after fighting with the salesman that sold her the car. Now not even a year later after paying for the repair the car wont start on random occassions. The most recent incident leaving her stranded in Toledo 100 miles from home, mind you she had taken it in 2 weeks prior for the same issue to be told there was nothing wrong with it. My mother is a senior and has put more money than necessary into a brand new car, to now be told theres pretty much nothing they can do for her. This place is a rip off and will sell you a lemon just make a buck. Buyer beware
The lack of communication at this dealership is amazing. After doing a search for a specific vehicle and finding it at this dealership, I made an appointment to come and see it. I drove an hour each way Saturday morning to be told when I arrived that the vehicle was sold the night before. According to Jim, no one told him until just before I arrived, and he said he tried to reach me two minutes before our appointment to tell me the news. Although he apologized and offered a tank of gas for the inconvenience, I didnt need any gas so “no thanks”.It would have been easy for someone at the dealership to alert me to the status the night before I drove there. Calling me 2 minutes before I arrived was pointless other than to be able to say someone tried to reach me. Make them promise to call you well before your appointment or be prepared for disappointment.(I was particularly incensed by the person looking out the window as I got back in my car to drive the hour back home. He was grinning from ear to ear as if this was a practical joke.) Unfortunately, The entire experience reinforced my opinion of car dealerships. The guy in the window – typical.I bought a similar vehicle later that day from a different dealership.
I recently took our 3rd leased new Explorer in for its first works check up. And for the last 7 years have been very pleased with sales and service. When I picked it up I was surprised by two things. Our personal contact information was not updated from July of 2020 when we purchased this lease, and the wash on car was horrible. Dirty water spots on entire. My only reason to take the time to report this is so you can improve your process. You cant fix it if you dont know its broke!
First time dealership buyer here and I just wanted to share how awesome Kyle made my experience! My old vehicle broke down and I needed something quick and was put into contact with Kyle who found exactly what I was looking for and got me in the very next day to meet with. Being nervous and excited at the same time had me going a little crazy but Kyle made everything so painless and easy to understand for a first time buyer. Im so happy and thrilled with my purchase and excited to work with Kyle and his team for any future oil changes or issues, I can imagine itll be just as pleasant of an experience as I had yesterday buying my first car from this dealership!Thank you again Kyle you ROCK man!
Had another great experience at Varsity Ford this past weekend! If your looking for a new vehicle I would highly recommend this location and specifically Dan Divens! The entire sales process was so professional and efficient! Dan provided great advice along the way and provided a great rate for the vehicle we desired. The process could not have been more improved in any way. Dan and the team at Varsity are simply true professionals in every sense of the word. I will be returning for all future needs.
Very happy with my experience at Varsity Ford and with my sales person, Tom Eady. I came in looking for a specific vehicle and trim package and he was very patient with me, went through all their inventory of that type and pulled two for a test drive. I ended up only driving the first vehicle and purchasing it. It was a seen less process on Tom’s side and he handled a few bumps we had along the way very professionally. He walked me through all the programs offered, explained everything cost wise, and answered any questions I had regarding the contract. I was very comfortable and confident with Tom and have since recommended him and Varsity Ford to multiple others.
I had an amazing experiment at Varsity Ford (Ann Arbor) this week. I spoke to Sue and she was very kind and helpful. I met David Byron, salesman and he was awesome. I will definitely make this my new dealership. I will refer others as well. No issues! Friendly staff and customer service was great even during pandemic. Come and ask for David. He will take good care of you. I love my new 2020 Ford Edge and I love Varsity Ford!!!
I always receive the best service from Varsity Ford! Donna Buchan is my girl! She always takes care of me! No matter how big or small my issues may be she is on top of it! The Service department is fantastic. They always provide the best service! I wont go anywhere else!
After visiting multiple dealerships looking for a slightly used certified SUV, Sian was extremely helpful in discussing the options they had, features associated with each car, and was very communicative, friendly, and understanding compared to other dealers and salespeople. Would definitely recommend Varsity Ford and Sian to anyone looking for a new / used car
*UPDATE (6/3/21): Service Department Manager, Lance, contacted me today and was quite respectful, transparent, and accommodating in relation to the issues that I presented in my original review (6/2/21). I appreciate how swift and professional his response was and look forward to retrieving my vehicle from his department once the work on it has been completed. (I would also like to thank Service Advisor Jalen for the information he was able to provide this morning. He, too, was very respectful and professional in his correspondence.)____I believe that its time to part business ways with Varsity Ford Ann Arbor.I tried calling the service department around 10 this morning to speak with a manager, but the phone line just continued to ring. After not being able to reach my salesman for several days (he finally called around day 8), new issues are at hand. I made a service appointment last week due to my vehicle constantly displaying error messages about AWD, Pre-Collision Assist, etc., not being available. The woman (possibly a receptionist for the service department) and service advisor whom I spoke with last week NEVER once mentioned that my vehicle would need to be kept overnight. I arrived to my scheduled 8:30 appointment this morning and was immediately told that my vehicle would need to be kept and that I would need to secure a ride because no courtesy vehicles were available. I relayed to the young male employee that I was never informed of service extending beyond my scheduled appointment, that I didnt have another ride, and that I had taken off of work specifically for this appointment. After speaking with whomever, the young male employee returns to the service waiting area and informs me that Hertz will provide me with a rental vehicle. I find it especially inconvenient and infuriating that I had to put down a deposit on my credit card for an oversized, dirty rental vehicle which only had 30 miles of gas to empty (prompting me to spend more of my personal money) all due to the negligent miscommunication and disorder of Varsity Ford Ann Arbors service department. My 2020 vehicle is still under warranty; the error messages started to display on their own (the vehicle is parked in a garage most of the time; no damage to my knowledge has contributed to the error messages). With this being said, I dont anticipate having to pay for any additional costs associated with this issue. Lastly, Im requesting that a manager contact me as soon as possible. Im not satisfied, in any capacity, with my treatment from Varsity Ford Ann Arbor as of late.
AMAZING dealership with dedicated workers. I am pleased with the outstanding service I received when I took interest in a new Vehicle I wanted to lease and my sales representative Matt Vodry took his time to answer all my questions and had me driving away in my new 2021 Explorer on the same day. If your looking for a vehicle and want a friendly, caring, environment with a smooth process go see Matt at Varsity. All the sales reps have your best interest at heart. Matt went above and beyond and made me feel like a true friend not just a client.
I purchased an 2020 Edge Titanium from Varsity Ford 2 days ago. After researching the internet for the vehicle we wanted and viewing several dealers stock, Varsity had the exact vehicle in stock. I started bringing my Ford truck to their service department for routine care a year ago. I did not buy it at Varsity. The mechanics at Varsity are excellent and very helpful. My good experiences with the service department were a big fact in choosing Varsity to buy the Edge. Over the weekend I sent a text to Varsity from their website detailing the SUV I was interested in purchasing. Monday morning I received a call from Colleen at Varsity. What a pleasant person. This was very helpful giving me a nice connection to the people there. I did not feel like I had to have my defenses up to go buy a car. We talked briefly and she set me up with an 11:30 appointment that same date with David Byron. David Byron, if you choose to go to Varsity to buy a vehicle ask for him. He’s a young man, he is on his game, he takes time to listen, explain and help. I’ve purchased many cars over many years, David stands out as more of a new style sales person. He keeps the process moving, he is fun to talk with and he is straight up honest with every step. For a young guy he knows about the cars he sells. He listens to your needs but does not push your feelings or decisions. I had a Chevy to trade in and that negotiation went smoothly and fairly. In other car purchases that would be a stressful process. This time it was a minor step and went well. So it took about two hours to get everything processed but I drove home with a new Edge the same day. Things that took time: prepping the new car, the trade-in took some time for the used car manager to evaluate the Chevy, but that went much quicker and easier than I have experienced. Waiting to here from my Insuance company to transfer coverage. I did the credit application online on Sunday so I was already approved before the appointment. Everyone there had masks on and paid attention to distance. I got all the Ford promotional discounts. $7750. That was nice, bringing the price down. I got good value on my trade with no haggling at all.David presented all the post sale programs such as extended warranty and wheel coverage, but these were just line items and there was no hard push to buy them. They were presented as a choice. This was a good experience. If you choose Varsity contact Colleen and David Byron. My wife loves the car and and she is pleased that I came home and wasn’t all stressed out from the buying process. Bill
My Varsity Ford dealership experience was excellent. Walking in, I could tell that Varsity cared about the safety of the customers and staff and made it a top priority. I had purchased a vehicle here in the past and it was such a great experience, I decided to come back and purchase another one. I will most likely end up making all of my Ford purchases here even though there are many Ford dealerships closer to my home. The online experience was also convenient during this time. I enjoyed meeting and working with Eric Brodde. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He worked hard to find the vehicle I wanted and delivered as promised on a vehicle that was hard to get. He made sure I was 100% satisfied with my vehicle purchase and buying experience. I want to thank Eric and the Varsity staff for making another vehicle purchase a great and rewarding experience. I look forward to my next vehicle purchase a Varsity Ford.
Had a very good experience 21 July 21 bringing my 2018 Transit for a repair to the rear top brake light. Service writer Jalen Burroughs perceived that a long wait to put the vehicle in the repair que was unnecessary, and arranged a mechanic to come right to the check-in line and install the new lamp easily right away.In addition, Jalen worked with my sales rep. , Jim Patarello, to obtain the tire jack that had been missing when I purchased the vehicle. Jim had acquired the jack in short order, and it gave me great peace-of-mind to have it installed. I had just concluded a trip carrying a group of youngsters to a camp, and the TPS light had come on. As it turned out, the tires were all intact, but if I had needed to change a tire, I would not have had the means.I appreciated the fast service(in and out in about 30 minutes), the attention to detail, and the friendly and helpful service. There is a culture of cooperation present with all the Varsity employees: teamwork, customer focus and competence is evident within and across the various departments.Thank you, well done.
My experience at Varsity was great, and Amanda made the process of leasing a new car so easy and efficient. She was super friendly and took the time to help me find the best deals on the car that I wanted. She was very knowledgable and walked me through all of the new features to make sure everything was set up correctly. I would definitely recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a great customer service experience!
Made a recent purchase from the used car division and could not be happier! Got outstanding customer service from salesman Sian Pickett! He answered all of my questions and was extremely prompt with all phone calls. He also took the time to make the ideal match for me with the best vehicle for my needs and desires. Outstanding dealership!
Great to buy a car from. (Tom Eady specifically)But NOT great when it comes to communication. When asked if I can tow my car there and get a rental (since I’m still under warranty) they said “absolutely!”But upon arrival at 4:15, they were sadly mistaken, and they failed to tell me earlier that they can only give me a rental before 4pm.So here I sit — stranded, in the rain, with no car, and with plenty of time to write a poor review :)**edit**The GM, Matt, called and we’re on our way to getting this straightened out. Bumped from 1 to 3 stars for the quick response and willingness to work with me and deliver a loaner car to me tomorrow. I do very much appreciate that. But, still be warned in case it’s not communicated, gotta be there before 4 for a rental, and the rentals aren’t onsite so plan for that as well.
Varsity Ford exceeded my expectations. Had an issue with a leased vehicle. The service department was great to work with. We made the decision to trade the car for new one. No games. No hassles. Excellent customer service. Lived up to their word. Varsity Ford truly appreciates their customers!
This place is not worth your time.Put my car in for a routine works package with a complementary wash at 10am. I called at 4pm to see if it was finished and they had not even started it. The representative then blamed me for not being specific enough about my time frame and my assumption that a 1 hour job would be done within 6 hours. I had to pick up the next morning at 9am. The car came out and it was not washed like the package said it would be. I asked about it and they took it back to be washed. It came back wet, but not cleaned. Also pointed out I needed my breaks changed and quoted $450 for it all. I went down the road and they got it done in 4 hours for $300.
I was shopping used Fusions through Carfax.com. I sent an inquiry to Varsity Ford regarding a 2017 Titanium Fusion that was on the Varsity lot. Kyle Law responded promptly and answered the questions I had. He arranged a test drive of the car and hooked me up with Tony Madison as my Salesman. I drove the car and came back a few days later and bought it. Kyle and Tony were great to work with. I would recommend Varsity Ford to anyone. The service was top notch and the car is excellent.
Unfortunately been in 3 automobile accidents, but each time Ive taken it here. Its a chevy too, at first I was like Im taking a chevy to a Ford shop to get work done. Glad I did every time Ive taken anyone of my trucks here not one single issue! And they clean and wash your vehicle! I highly recommend these guys for any kind of collision work! Extremely professional and on time! Thanks varsity ford team! You have one happy customer!
Excellent, friendly Ford dealership. The whole leasing process was easy and comfortable. Our salesperson, Eric Brodde, was the best. He was friendly and engaging and incredibly helpful. After our purchase, we received a wonderful follow up call from Kelly Manley. For a large dealership, we definitely felt important and valued. Would absolutely recommend!!
Varsity Ford gets it done! Mainly Lee Dimic! Purchased a vehicle from them and it had parts ordered when i took it off the lot. Lee was good enoigh to only have me do a one way trip to drop the truck off to get the parts installed. He also provided me with a loaner truck all at no cost. He then had a delivery driver bring my truck to me 2.5hrs away! That Lee is truly a great salesman goes outta his way to take care of ya.
Jeremy in the collision center was very professional and knowledgeable about getting my Ford F-150 repaired after a deer hit on my commute to work. His staff was able to work with me and my insurance company along with providing me with a loaner vehicle. The paint and bodywork looks flawless. Hands down best customer service and I will be recommending them to all my friends and family. A++
Went into Varsity Ford this January to see about getting a used car. Being a first timer buyer, I was nervous, but I was relieved to find that the process was made much less nerve-wracking thanks to the efforts of Matt Vodry and Kelly. Kelly, an assistant, assisted us during the credit application process, and Matt, normally a new car salesman, intervened when the salesperson that had been directed to see us was unavailable after having driven 60 miles to get to the dealership on a Saturday. Both of them went above and beyond in making me feel welcomed and secure in my purchase. They both spent a lot of time with me as I had many questions as a first time buyer. I left feeling great about the price I paid and the warranty I selected. I would gladly recommend that anyone visit Varsity Ford and Matt Vodry.
Eric Brodde is one of the best sales personnel you could ever ask for honestly. I’ve gotten two cars from him in the last year and he went out of his way to deliver them directly to me From Ann Arbor to orchard lake and Detroit! Does not have the typical cheese ball sales man attitude of BS filled discussion. The dealer usually has stock others don’t, I’d highly recommend them to anyone.
I have been leasing Ford vehicles exclusively from Varsity Ford for 30 years! Jon Byrd has been my salesperson since the early 90’s. He has become a good friend, not just my salesperson.I have thought of trying other products, by different manufacturers - but Jon Byrd is the reason I keep coming back to Ford. I touch base with him throughout the year. He lets me know about promotions and lease pull ahead. Jon knows the options I desire in my vehicle, the price point I wish to pay, then arranges it all effortlessly! He always takes the time to explain the new features of every vehicle, syncing my phone, and taking me for a test drive. Two weeks ago, we came in to look at Ford Fusion Hybrids. I REALLY wanted a Ruby Red SE with a moonroof. None were available after checking dealer listings. Jon said hed keep looking and find one. Less than a week later I drove it away, after he took time to show us how all the new features worked. If you want a excellent customer service, a great vehicle, and a great price...see Jon Byrd at Varsity Ford!
Tom Eady is the best salesman weve ever worked with. He is knowledgeable, honest, and hardworking. He has great follow through. Whether you are just starting your search or ready to purchase he will guide you with efficiency and kindness. He gave us realistic information about current stock levels and promotions to help determine the timing of our purchase and decide if new or used was the wisest decision for us.The whole team worked together to find us the perfect F-150, process the paperwork, prepare the vehicle, and make the trade-in seamless. The product is amazingly quiet, powerful, has over 20 mpg, back up camera is awesome, and the on screen technology is easily utilized or turned off if you prefer.Thank you Tom Eady and Varsity Ford!
I bought my first car from James/Jim Patarello, and he’s been amazing since. When i needed an oil change we were quick to get it done, and when my brakes were squealing he said “bring it in and we’ll handle it”. 5 Star for James. I’m happy i bought my first car with him.
I bought a 2017 Escape lease turn-in at the end of August this year at Varsity. I came back because we bought a new 2012 Escape there. Jay Clayton was the sales guy for both purchases and I couldnt be happier with Jay or my new Escape!! I told him what I was looking for and in a day he had four cars to choose from that met my needs. I have a beautiful new to me car and I LOVE IT! And I know the service for my car will go beyond my expectations, thanks to the service guys and my pal, Lance Maze. Cant go wrong with Varsity Ford!
I love Jerry Hobbs at Varsity Ford! The whole staff is amazing and attentive. Jerry is wonderful to his customers and will always go above and beyond. He will take calls and emails in a timely manner and never pressures you in a choice. This is our 6th car with him. If you go to Varsity, ask for Jerry! I was also impressed that I was called by Colleen after my purchase to ensure that I was happy with my purchase and the dealership. Jerry called the day after as well. If you want a Ford, and you do, go to Varsity Ford and ask for Jerry!
I had a great experience at Varsity Ford and working with Rich Kania. This was my first time leasing a car and Rich was very helpful in answering all my questions and making the experience efficient and positive. Rich took the time to make sure I understood the differences between leasing and buying and I felt very confident when I made the decision to lease. Rich is very knowledgeable and I felt that he really worked with me to find the best car at the best price. I appreciate Rich and his professionalism and commitment to his customers. Rich’s assistant, Brian Crumb, was also a pleasure to work with. He showed me how to operate all the great features on my new Ford Escape, which saved me a great deal of time trying to figure everything out on my own! I would highly recommend Rich Kania and look forward to working with him in the future.Thank you so much Rich and Brian!
Sleazy..I bought my first new T250 from Varsity in 2015.Three years later I walked back in ready to buy another T250. I asked to meet with the same salesman and was told he was no longer in sales. So I met with a different gentleman regarding the new truck. I told him I had plenty of time and wanted to order one to my specifications. He tried to sell me multiple trucks that were in stock that did not meet my requirements. Clearly he didnt understand or care about the build sheet I provided him with.He then quoted me $43,000 for a truck fundamentally the same as the one I paid $36,000 three years earlier. I chalked in up to inflation and an upcharge in options and told him I would need to think about it (20% more seemed like a lot). Then he said .. you had better move on this quick because these rebates are about to expire in a few daysAh.. this offer will explode in two days if you dont rush back and buy it.. I get it.I was so irritated by the high pressure sales tactic that I went straight home and went to a price comparison website and sent out my information and build sheet to a dozen dealerships.Sure enough they came back with prices for around $37,000 with no exploding offer and no BS.First experience 5 stars.Last experience 1 star.Never again.
We had a wonderful experience at Varsity Ford in Ann Arbor. Kelly Manley helped us out from the first phone call. She also sent us extra pictures of the SUV we were looking at. Once we were ready to purchase the car she handed us off to Lee Dimic. He was wonderful as well. Great experience! Thanks again!
Just purchased a pre owned f150 from Varsity Ford all the way from Texas and could not have had a better experience. From the credit application all the way to the shipping of the vehicle, all taken care of in a pleasant manner. Tom was able to make this transaction for me and deserves every star of this review. I would not hesitate to recommend any one over to Tom or the team at Varsity.
Rich Kania and Brian Crumb were a great pleasure to work with. I was refereed to Rich by a friend and he was by far the best salesman to work with! Rich was very informative, helpful and accommodating to get me into the right vehicle with the best price. Brian showed me all of the features for my vehicle and made me very familiar on how everything operates. Rich and Brian made the process so fast and efficient for me! Im very happy to say this was my first purchase with Varsity Ford and definitely wont be my last! I love my new Ford Edge! Very practical vehicle to have for my daughter! Thank you so much Rich and Brian I look forward to working with you both in the future!
I had been looking sporadically for an F-150 for when my lease was up. I had called around to a few dealerships asking about inventory. Varsity Ford was the ONLY one to keep in constant contact with me. They also were the only dealership to gave the most F-150’s on their lot. They called to let me know that there were new incentives, put me in touch with my sales person, Donna. Donna was professional, sent me quotes Very quickly on 3 different trucks. I quickly picked my truck, and picked it up the same day. Thank you Varsity Ford! A very happy customer.
I contacted Amanda Roach for info regarding a 2020 F150. After giving her details about what I would like in a truck, Amanda sent me information that interested me. She is customer oriented, courteous and professional and was able to find a truck that was perfect. Her attention to detail is unmatched. It was then, we decided Amanda Roach and Varsity Ford would be our choice to purchase from. Also, important to us, was to feel that we could reach a trade-in amount that we would be happy with. In my opinion, the offer was more than fair and we accepted (thank you, Keith). We did purchase a beautiful 2020 F150, very nicely equipped and we are very happy customers.Varsity Ford has a massive inventory and the choices are abundant. It is a busy dealership and I feel that is representative of how they treat their customers delivering excellent products and excellent customer service!Amanda Roach and the Varsity Ford Team treated us like Family from the moment we walked through the door. They will have all our future vehicle buying and service business.Thank You so much!Pete and Kathy Poma
Let me start by saying that upon entering Varsity Ford, they are warm and welcoming. You are greeted with a smile by the lovely ladies at the concierge desk. Even as you walk through this beautiful facility you are acknowledged by any employee you pass, and they are always smiling. After years of driving another make of vehicle, and old but new to me vehicles, I joined the FORD family today and I got a 2017 Ford Escape! Not only am I stylish in my new wheels, I received the ultimate service by Rich Kania at Varsity Ford. This was my first time buying a brand new vehicle and my husband and I went in looking at the Escape. I knew I wanted a mid-sized vehicle but practical and safe.We drove the basic model of the Escape, but Rich also showed us the upgraded package, with none of that salesman pressure. He was knowledgeable, patient, accommodating, and he gave us all the details for comparison. He even offered to let us sleep on it so we didnt feel like we had to choose immediately. Like I said, none of that weird sales pressure. Nothing but amazing conversation and service! After plugging figures and getting us an amazing rate, we knew that we wanted the best to tote our precious cargo (aka kids) around so we decided on the upgraded version. It has all the up to date techie features and gadgets to make my commute SAFE & FUN!It was magnificent service from start to finish! I am so happy with my purchase and I will recommend everyone to go see Rich and he will treat you like youre his own family, I promise!
Overall great Service experience. I subtracted one star because of the waiting lounge area. The problem that I have is that there are 3 televisions competing with loud background music which makes time there very annoying.Update 2021. Recently tried to book a Service Appointment on the website but all dates were unavailable so had to call. The dates were actually OK. They need to work on the web experience. I also asked a question using the contact form and have not received a reply. I bought a Mach E through this dealer a few months ago using the preorder system from Ford and it worked pretty well although I still had to work with a Sales person which I felt did not offer any real value. I recommend that they should hire Customer Delivery specialists instead. The EV was delivered to my home and all documentation was done online which was great.
My experience was seamless thanks to Bill Harb and Michelle Sullivan. I would highly recommend Varsity Ford of Ann Arbor for an excellent experience from start to finish. Ask for Bill Harb when you go to purchase your next Ford. Hes knowledgeable, experienced, communicates well, and is efficient. I love my Ford and I think you will too!
I have been purchasing and leasing vehicles for several decades and have to say my experience with Varsity Ford was by far my BEST ever. I was less than satisfied with my most recent leasing experience and very reluctant to trust yet another sales guy. Rich Kania was strongly recommended so I made an appointment and I am thrilled that I did! Rich was empathetic to my current situation. He was reassuring and took the time to put me at ease. Rich explained every step of the process and there was absolutely no pressure! Amanda Roach was very helpful as well; his positive attitude and knowledge were sincerely appreciated. On the day I took possession of my 2018 F-150 XLT, Amanda did an awesome job of explaining the electronics and setting up my Apple apps! My overall experience was very professional and friendly. Varsity Ford, Rich Kania and Amanda receive 5+ stars and I would not hesitate to recommend them!
My family has been using Varsity Ford for years, and we couldnt be happier with the service provided by Rich Kania! Yesterday I turned in my lease to upgrade to the Edge, and the process couldnt have been simpler! Everything was straightforward, and he listened to what I was looking for. Im so thankful he found me the perfect car for a great price!! Definitely the best Ford dealership in the area!
My family is on its 6th lease from Varsity Ford. We will continue to drive 45minutes to get to this dealership to continue out longstanding partnership! The entire staff goes above and beyond in their commitment to the customer experience. Regardless of who is your direct sales person, everyone there makes you feel at home and comfortable asking questions. They go out of their way to deliver your new vehicle to YOUR most convenient place and will remain as long as necessary to make sure you are comfortable and educated on the new functions of your vehicle.Great job everyone! (And a special thanks to Hank!)
I have had an incredible experience with Rich Kania at Varsity Ford. My family has worked with him for many years and have never been disappointed. He is extremely friendly and takes the time to listen to your needs. I could not be happier with the 2017 Ford Edge that Rich got me into last week. This is my third lease I have done with Rich and he never disappoints. He is always available when I have questions and always delivers and outstanding product.I would highly recommend Rich and his team!!
Kyle House is wonderful to work with when purchasing a new vehicle. He is patient, very knowledgeable of product specifications and inventory, and takes his time making sure you are fully satisfied with your purchase. He really goes above and beyond! I highly recommend Kyle for your next purchase.Joanne Bernard
I want to say Thank you to Ireland for her help and recommend Shane Smith to help me on Saturday when I came to test drive the car I bought. Shane was very good, he showed me all the features and how they work. If you are interested in buying a car go see Shane Smith at Varsity Ford.
I have to add that I just purchased a 2nd car from Varsity Ford and the service from John Camilleri was excellent. I highly recommend him. Everything happens quickly and as expected (no surprises)The below review is from Nov. last year:I recently purchased a car and had a really good experience. I worked with John Camilleri and Sue Rogiero.Excellent service, Excellent pricing and no unexpected problems when it came time to sign the paperwork.I am 100% satisfied.
Though I’m not a fan of leaving reviews, I felt the need to express my appreciation towards Varsity Ford. Our sales rep Rich K. was phenomenal! He was extremely attentive, professional and kind every step of the way. The whole process from walking in the door until I pulled away in my new fusion went smooth and I couldn’t be more grateful! Thank you Rich and Varsity Ford for making this a great experience. Looking forward to doing bussiness with you all again in the future.
My experience at Varsity Ford was very pleasant. Rich Kania was great to work with. Professional and polite. He responded quickly to any questions or concerns I had and made the whole purchasing process easy. His assistant Brian Crumb very knowledgeable and friendly also. I would recommend to give Rich a call if looking for a vehicle.
Just wanted to take a moment to thank Varsity Ford and my salesperson Jerry Hobbs for an as usual great new vehicle lease experience. I leased 2 new vehicles within a week of each other and Jerry did a great job finding vehicles that met our needs. I really appreciate how easy Jerry made the experience and would highly recommend him as a person who always goes above and beyond to help his customers. I believe this was my 10th vehicle purchase at Varsity all with Jerry and look forward to working with him and Varsity Ford again! Thanks for the great experience! Brian Tucker
Ive been a loyal Varsity Ford Customer for well over a decade now and the dealership is well managed and the new renovations look great. Yesterday I completed my second purchase from Rich Kania and his assistant Brian Crumb. This experience was better than the first. Rich is a quality, no BS type of a salesman. Hes good at understanding your needs and working with you to satisfy them. Brian was very thorough in his review of the technical aspects of my new truck and Rich, as usual, was prepared and had me in and out exceptionally quickly.Cheers to the Varsity Team. You guys know how to satisfy the customer. Ill be buying all my future vehicles from Varsity..
Found a great truck on their website and called on it at 7pm. Talked to Kyle Law about coming to see it that night. He was honest and friendly. He got me set up with Tom Eady who was still super friendly after being at the dealership for 12hrs that day.Great people to work with and made the deal super easy!
Varsity Ford did a magnificent job with my fiance and I and especially Rich Kania. He made the process and experience knowledgeable and fun and I would recommend buying or leasing from Varsity Ford to anyone. He explained everything and I mean everything about the car inside and out and did the same with the paperwork. We felt very comfortable and relaxed during the entire choosing and purchase process. The communication was amazing, informative and wasnt extensive or confusing at all. Thanks Rich taking great care of us and our vehicle needs.
I received great service while purchasing a vehicle from Mark. Worked with me to get me what I wanted, didn’t waste my time waiting for paperwork ( I got to leave and could come back when everything was ready or have my new car delivered to my driveway!). Highly recommend, overall felt taken care of, respected, and helped. And now I’m in a new car that I really enjoy!
Avoid Varsity if you have a trade-in because they will low ball you. I went to two other dealers who both offered me $7000 for my trade-in but wanted to order a new car from Varsity because of good experiences with their service department. I told the salesman straight out I will order the car today if you match the $7000 offers. He offered me $5500, wouldn’t budge, and I walked out. I ordered from another dealer the next day and got $7000 for the trade, which they actually sold within 3 days, listed at $10,395 on Autotrader. So basically Varsity got greedy and lost a customer.
When I moved to Michigan 24 years ago I bought my first car from Rich at Varsity. His attention to detail as well as his service after the sale has kept me coming back to buy all 6 of my vehicles over the years. My son has also purchased his 2 cars from Rich as well. He always led us in the right direction, helping us make the best selection at the best price. Rich continues to follow up with us to make sure all of our service needs are met as well. The service staff at Varsity takes care or any issue, taking time to explain the problem and discuss the solution. I will not take my business to any other dealer
My wife and I had a great experience at Varsity Ford when purchasing a new 2020 F-150. I first spoke with Sue Rogiero when arranging a test drive. She was informative, efficient and polite. I asked her to line me up with a good, straight forward salesperson. She set us up with Donna Buchan, who was a great match for us. I had done my research on the F-150s that I was interested in and without any sales pressure , Donna laid out the options and incentives available to us. She even found a cash incentive associated with my Ford Rewards account that I wasnt aware of. After we decided to purchase the truck, Donna helped with some of the after market options that we wanted and had the the spray in bedliner scheduled for the next day. Sue also followed up after the appointment with Donna to see how things went,. Because of the efficiency of Donna and Sue, we drove our new truck home the next day. I would highly recommend Varsity Ford, Donna Buchan and SueRogiero to anyone looking to buy or lease a Ford vehicle.
-Outstanding experience purchasing our F150. COVID-19 protocols in place made me feel comfortable during my two very short dealership visits. Our Sales Rep Tom Eady took care of everything, was prompt in his communications with me, refreshingly candid and made the process effortless. Quick turn paperwork, great financing, Tom and team are going above and beyond in this unprecedented time. Get into Varsity and see what they’re doing so well. Highly recommended.
Being in the market for a new vehicle while still having one, I was able to take my time and look around for the best deals. Rich Kania came highly recommended to me. He was able to give me the best deal not only on my current vehicle as a trade-in, but also on my new vehicle. I did my homework, shopped around, and Rich gave me the best deals on both my vehicles. He was so amazing to work with, even making after work hour calls when needing to push the best deal through. He made me feel as though I was the only customer in the building, patiently listened to all my questions, and was honest about what was in my family’s best interest. He even talked respectfully of the competitors, which spoke very highly of his character. I would strongly recommend Rich Kania and will be back to purchase more vehicles in the future!
My husband and I purchased a new explorer from Varsity Ford yesterday Brian Johnston was the salesman that we worked with and he was absolutely amazing!! The transaction was incredibly smooth, and he went out of his way to deliver my new car to me at my sons football game!! He made my husband and I feel like we were his top priority. As a salesman he goes above and beyond for his clients. We will continue to get our vehicles from Varisty Ford as long as Brian is there.
Always a pleasure to deal with this place. Jeff Scott go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with whatever deal you get. Top Notch! We just purchased the first new car for my daughter; third car that we purchased in this Ford dealer....for sure I will get the best deal when I get my new BRONCO...!!!
I had a horrible experience with Varsity Ford. Jim Patarello made me feel bad about not having the best credit. He did nothing to get me a decent interest rate. I was paying the majority in cash and had to get my own financing. I scheduled an appointment with Kyle and verified that the car was still available before leaving the house. Drove an hour and verified the appointment and car availability a second time when I was 5min away. When I got there they substituted the sales person for Tony and told me the car was no longer available. The car was sitting right out front and they refused to sell it to me. Completely false advertising and lying about everything. Complete shenanigans.
I waited too long to say what excellent service I receive from Kathy Harper. Ive bought many Fords from Kathy and every the purchase has been flawless. She has everything ready for me when I get to the dealership. I referred my brother to her and he thanked me. I just bought a 2020 F-150 Supercrew Lariat and I love it. If I had the truck built it would be the one I bought. Kathy found my dream truck for me. Thank You Kathy Harper.
My whole experience at varsity Ford was a little rough to start bought a used vehicle that experience was amazing have to give it up to Eric broody for his great great customer service. After about 2 days started having issues with my explorer and let me tell you from the general manager Matt to the asst service manager mike they absolutely went above and beyond to make this a 10 start service / purchase. Great job varsity ford team !!! Absolutely will be coming back !!
Remember this name Rich Kania, Rich Kania, Rich Kania. You will not be sorry. The salesperson I leased my first Escape from left Varsity Ford and he gave my contact information to Rich Kania. The service provided by Rich was excellent. I was completely satisfied by his fast, courteous and professional service and advice. Rich makes the car leasing experience great. Rich and I discussed the options I wanted (over the phone) and he got me in the exact vehicle that I wanted. I was comfortable talking and discussing options with Rich. He gave me his cell phone number in case I had any questions that needed to be answered during non-business hours. Rich provides the very best in customer service while being attentive to all requests. He took the time to calculate the lease price for an Escape for my daughter. The quote was in my Inbox when I got home. I then asked for more information and he was prompt getting me that data. Thanks Rich Kania, for your help in making this transition to my new 2017 Ford Escape effortless. I will definitely recommend you to my friends. And if you are in the market for a Ford or Lincoln remember the name RICH KANIA.
I have purchased a number of cars at Varsity Ford. I have also purchased cars at other area Ford Dealers. I have always received great service at Varsity Ford and I now have a sales person I feel comfortable with.Rich Kania and his assistant Brian Crumb are top notch! I really made Rich and his assistant work as I was ending a lease and hadnt decided which type of vehicle I wanted to lease next. I had Rich and his assistant Brian run numbers on probably seven or eight different models and give me two and three year lease payments and at various mileage levels. They were more then accommodating to my needs and set up test drives in tow different types of vehicles to help me find the right vehicle for me. Brian really went over the car with me in great detail and Rich had the paper work ready to go when he said and no numbers games were played. Straight forward. Rich will be my salesman from this point forward.
Varsity Ford always has the best customer service! Amanda did an amazing job at helping me find the best deal on my new car. She was super helpful and genuinely cared about getting everything I wanted in a car! Ill definitely be back to buy another car from here next time.

2022-01-31Lee Dimic helped me get into the exact car I was looking for. I trusted his advice and was not let down. Great knowledge and customer service from him and his coworker Carol and they followed up with me after purchase just to make sure I was satisfied and had everything I needed. Friendly and professional. I would recommend this dealership and sales person to anyone who is looking to purchase a new vehicle. If Lee asks... tell him Andrew with the 2018 taurus sent you... I promise that you will not be disappointed! 6 STARS!!!

2022-04-06Words cannot express how great of an experience it was to work with Varsity Ford! Every step of the process was so smooth and easy for a first-time new car-buyer like me. The wait for my Bronco was long, but I cant imagine going to any other dealership and Im glad I settled here. I have to shout out Matt Stanford for being my go-to person for all things regarding my reservation and order. I also have to give a big thank you to Kyle House for being my salesman and assisting me with finally purchasing my vehicle and driving it off the lot. The service was OUTSTANDING and I really felt listened to, appreciated, and welcome. I definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to purchase a new vehicle. You wont be disappointed!

2022-04-26If you need service in this area, just go to ELDER FORD! They are honest and truly care about your personal safety, unlike Varsity Ford.We were passing through town on our 2021 BIG AIR performing arts tour and have a serious problem with fuel leaking in our engine. We are traveling with 12 rescue dogs and are nationwide advocates for pet wellness. Safety is always our #1 priority and getting help while traveling the country is definitely a challenge since we are at the mercy of the road. But this dealership would make NO exceptions to even take a quick look at our emergency situation. The service manager Lance was very adamant that they were booked 3 weeks out. I explained the smell is coming in the cab making my driver nauseated and dizzy. He didn’t care. The last Ford we visited in Indiana was also booked up for 2-3 weeks, but they showed compassion for our safety and at least looked at the issue. They said it appeared to be a quick fix and just needed a new fuel line to go to the engine, they took time to detail our engine to help with the cabin fumes and see the problem better, but unfortunately they didn’t have the part to fix us (which they said appears to be the metal fuel line) and we had to get to our next show in Clinton Twp, MI where we were performing at the Macomb Center for the arts the next day. Bottom line, Varsity Ford and their service manager Lance could care less about our dogs or our safety. They weren’t even willing to take a quick look. :(I would NEVER do business with a dealership that doesn’t put people safety over what is scheduled on the books. I’m sorry, but that is just sad. Everyone is busy, I get it, but safety and emergency situations should ALWAYS come first!— In Response to dealers response below:LIE, You referred me to ONE place; Bill Brown Ford, whom also told us they were booked three weeks out! We even went there personally driving 30 miles out of our way on this leaking engine which is a fire and health risk. It’s leaking from the metal fuel line under pressure. Not safe or healthy since there is no in-cabin air filter, so the fumes come right into the cab. This is an emergency situation, but you are more concerned with your scheduled maintenance appointments then doing the right thing to help someone from possibly dying or getting sick on the road. Shame on you!

2022-07-06If I could give them a rating of -1000 I would. I have purchased several vehicles from Varsity and they have lost ALL my business. Its not even worth mentioning what they did or in this case they didnt do. All I know is I will never have anything to do with this dealership again. They do not care about you or your vehicle. I took my vehicle to a smaller dealership and the quickly diagnosed and repaired my vehicle.

2022-01-17My salesman Shannon is outstanding! I spoke with him last August about my lease options for my next vehicle. My current lease was to end in Mid January. He highly recommended that I order my next lease as soon as possible due to the chip shortage. Im glad that I did!! It took almost 5 months for my vehicle to be produced & shipped to Varsity Ford. I actually had 1 week left on my current lease when it got delivered. Shannon made the process go extremely smooth from start to the final delivery. Thanks Shannon.

2021-11-08Not so much Varsity but the salesman. Not that there is anything wrong with the dealership but I have been getting cars from Eric B. for 16 years, he used to work at a dealership 2 miles from my house but I chose to follow him out to Varsity. He has always been the most easy going, easy to work with, gets back to you promptly and is never irritated no matter how may question you have. I will continue to go see him as long as I am buying new cars!!

2022-06-23I’ve always received good service at Varsity Ford and this week’s visit was not different. I was able to schedule my appointment when I wanted it, was taken promptly upon arrival and my car was thoroughly checked, diagnosed and repaired. I trust the service at Varsity as we’ve purchased and had our cars serviced their for over 20 years.

2022-07-11First time financing a car and David Spelman was amazing! He was helpful, gave me an amazing offer and super communicative and kind enough to explain the whole process! Upon arrival, he did even more to help me out and I was able to drive out of there with my new baby!Thank you to the team at Varsity Ford, and a special thanks to David for helping me get a new vehicle!
