I’ve had experience with several Retirement facilities. Overall, I have been very happy with the care my mother has received at this particular facility. She has made a happy transition due to the loving care she receives from her caregivers. For example, when she is in the hallway, staff smile and greet her by her first name. The reality is that no retirement home is perfect, but for the most part, my mother is clean, dressed, her room is kept clean, and any extra needs are addressed in a timely manner. The recreation staff also goes out of their way to include her in daily activities. She is happy, engaged and comfortable, which makes me happy and comfortable.
I cant say enough about this facility. Everything was top notch. The staff was fantastic with my mom. She was comfortable, happy, and felt very loved by them. The management and the facility are also great. I would refer anybody who is looking for a trustworthy, caring assisted living facility.
I had to laugh when I read on their website about how important proper dental care is as we age, but my sister doesnt get her teeth brushed on a regular basis. It is a nice facility as far as appearance goes, but must be under staffed as when a call button is pushed you wait a very long time for anyone to respond.Sorry to say nothing has changed since my initial review was written. Their response is always the same “if she doesn’t want to we can’t make her” even though there is a directive from the dentist that her teeth must be brushed at least once a day preferably two.Another go to phrase from management is “we will have to look into it”, but when it has been brought to their attention 8 times and nothing changes what does it take.Today according to their menu residents were to have beef pot roast, but the residents were given a hot dog instead. Why print a menu if your not going to adhere to it!Since this review has been written Vista Springs has had two managing directors that left and most recently fired. Currently there is only one nurse on staff to take care of all the residents, ambulance staff beats the nurse.Residents push their pendants, but the wait time can be up to two hours. Short on staff and those that are there cannot keep up and give the proper care needed.There is a kitchenette in each room which is not intended to be used as a waste receptacle for the night shift who are too lazy to dispose of waste in the bathroom, need I say any more.I can honestly say that the only improvement there have been the meals given to the residents.Hopefully with the “new” director (#3) there can be some must needed changes for those whose loved ones reside there.
Vista springs is the most loving caring facility I’ve worked for. Coming to work just gives me joy and fills my heart with love. Caring for all these residents as if they were part of my family makes me smile... they are what keep me going! Getting to know all of them and to help them succeed everyday is just a joy brought too my heart. I love every resident as if they were one of my loved one!!
I gave this facility a five star rating seven months ago. I now lower that rating to three stars because of concerns that have not been given follow-through despite several instances of input from my physician husband regarding my moms care. My husband is her medical power of attorney. The facility has increased her level of care status without observable improvement in care. I still think the facility is beautiful and that the activities are amazing. Some of the staff care very much, but just as many fail to execute the necessary care involved with her level. Possible reasons could be not enough managerial supervision, or understaffing. Whatever the case, mom deserves the care for which her hard earned money is used. It is a difficult decision to place your parent in assisted living. You want to be able to rest in the knowledge that somebody has your back. KVA
I have visited Vista Springs Wyoming several times and have been so impressed by the cleanliness of the facility. I am also impressed by how active the community members are. The other day they were playing almost beach volleyball! The laughter was infectious!
This community is absolutely gorgeous and the staff are very loving and caring. The activities are always fun and they even go on field trips to local places. I would recommend this community to anyone looking for a place for their loved one that needs Assisted Living or Memory Care services.
My father is in the late stages of dementia. He is non-verbal and can be aggressive, as late stage dementia patients can be. This home did not have the personnel to handle him, even though they accepted him as a resident. They even had him transported to the ER via ambulance and reported that he threatened to kill someone. He hasn’t spoken in 7 years. I am positive they didn’t know what to do or handle him and just needed him out. They kicked him out of the home today. I would hope that if a home is going to accept dementia patients at different stages, hey would make clear at the beginning who they could take and who they couldn’t.

Very friendly atmosphere. Just stared as a new employee and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The community members are awsome and I am loving getting to know each and everyone of the. Buildings are nice and clean.
It may be a beautiful facility, but that seems to be it. Management is never around and when you can find them..they listen to your concerns and take zero action. If you have a loved one here at Vista Springs Wyoming I highly recommend you to look for other options.
I work here, and i love it. No place is perfect but this facility is MUCH better than most. Too many people complain about things they dont know about. So please look into ALL the aspects of running a large facility before breaking this company down.
Yes, I agree the facility is clean...the entry to get in and visit a love one and to leave out from visiting a love one in the Rediscovery unit was not well thought out. Hopefully its not an emergency situation because It always takes a while to get in and out.
I volunteered here and the staff is very good! The residents looked like they felt safe and secure but most of all happy!
I cant say so much for this place vista springs is a non caring place where they treat there Employees poorly as us employees go so far to take care of these Community Member not even a thanks or a good recognition for the good work you did ! Horrible Communication management is horrible
By far this is one of my favorite jobs of all times i love working here and serving the community members...and all the years i have worked here i have grown relationships with them the staff is amazing...!
I wouldn’t even rate it one star, they are HORRIBLE to residents & don’t care about them at all.
It is very clean the workers are helpful and they take Field trips to great places.
My dad is happy to get out of here. Nothing good to say. Owner, dont bother posting your generic response.

2022-02-21I have been with Vista Springs for many years now. It has been a privilege to work here, and also have my own family live within this community, and also another property. The care team takes great care of my family, and I never have to worry when I am not there with him. We have endured different management changes throughout the years and the current team with have is all invested for the right reasons! Culinary brings a vibrant flare to meals mixing home cooked meal flavors to 5 star resort, Health and & Wellness is hands on everyday caring for all members, Residential services keeps the building inside and out looking top notch, and keeps housekeeping in white glove test standards. Activities has grown tremendously over the years and we are always doing something new and fun whether its a new Yoga class, or learning how to swing dance. The one thing that sets this community apart is from the moment you walk in you feel the warmth and family like environment. It truly is Full of Life

2022-02-26I have worked at Vista Springs in Wyoming for almost 5 years. I work in the Rediscovery Lofts and am excited to go to work everyday. When I am off for a couple days or on vacation I miss my family. The people I take care of are like family to me. When tours come through the facility I always stop and introduce myself and ask if they have any questions. I recommend anyone looking for Assisted Living or Memory Care for there family to come check us out. You won’t be disappointed.

2022-01-23Horrible environment for residents and staff!!!!!! This facility is understaffed,management is never around past four maybe five pm. Residents are fed the same thing everyday,its poorly ran for the price you pay as a resident you should be getting more than plain toast and oatmeal for breakfast everyday. Residents seek care that goes unanswered for hours families call and make complaints with no resolution. When people are passing there are no grievance carts offered. Dont be fooled it make look beautiful,clean,staffed and management on-site but rest assured that is only if a new resident coming in for a walk through. Do your research Google all Vista springs locations before you choose residency or employment you may find somethings you may not like.

2022-03-08Management and culinary services is trash! They literally play race card there! I worked there a month, hired as Sous Chef and never once did that job! They had me serving dining areas never any of the other Sous chef did culinary services in AL! I was rearranging closets and just anything around! Then I mention it and suggest if that don’t work I’ll be forced to put in a 2 week notice! The next day I was terminated! Then they wanted to meet after they took me off schedule and Ishift! Never gave a 2 week to my supervisor never got the chance but was terminated cause I actually said something and if they wanted to fix it before they terminated why schedule a meeting after you let me go? Was just changing schedule without notice when someone quit or didn’t show up! This is a terrible place to work! Very unprofessional also cause during meeting it was all white women trying to fault me for speaking up cause not one of them men in kitchen serve in dining area not even Becky so yea I feel I was discriminated against totally! Too messy and lots of dramas and unfair work environment

2022-02-12I am extremely disappointed in the internet service here in the last few months. I have been here 8+ years now. Most of the time the service is marginally acceptable, but lately it has been just awful. For me as well as the staff who have to endure it when they are tending to our needs on a daily basis. Worse, there is no way for me to make my displeasure known to management. I dont even know who I would have to talk to in order to try and improve the situation. This is not just my computer, its my iPad as well, both of them connect to the internet via Vista Spring wi-fi. I must get this situation remedied, it is almost the only thing that allows me to keep my sanity, especially in the last two years of lockdown and limited mobility. Please Help!

2021-07-25Vista Springs Wyoming Mi one star is to much it’s as low as I can give it here. I was there for 5 months that was way too much.On-site Management? The only response is thank you for sharing I’ll look in to this… Nothing is ever done. The cleanliness of the outside looking in is beautiful don’t judge a book by the cover. Shower room disgusting hair left on the floor from other showers spots on the floor gross.The food absolutely the worst if your family member is there don’t say anything about it just show up at meal time and it will all become clear. Toast in the morning is if your lucky barley toasted most of the time it’s a slice of bread right out of the package no butter, jelly nothing. When you ask for condiments that means they have to go back to the kitchen if they return everything is even colder than when they deliver it all ready cold.Care for patients some staff are great!!call lights on for hours patients laying in wet unchanged beds for 2 to 3 hours is the normal and if your older and not at your best memory wise it’s worse. I waited 2hours one night just to get a response to my call light only to be told by the staff I can’t change you I’m the only person here so in the morning they will take care of you.Patients living there attacking other patients. Reported and again told the same line and nothing is ever done.The language that’s allowed by a patient is unbelievable no one should have to listen to thatVistasprings Wyoming promises everything wonderful in the tour’s they don’t deliver once you are there.Low staffing is everywhere right now but that shouldn’t be okay to be treated like this.Please just stop really look at everything before you sign up.If your family is there they can’t hide behind COVID anymore go unscheduled and at off times to see for your self.This is all I can do to try to help so please just really look before you signGreat love to all the friends still living there.

2020-03-09This is a great facility that we found for both of my parents to live out their final days. Parents rave about the food, but even more importantly the staff. From the cleaning staff to the Facility manager, everyone seems to be equally focused on patient care. Staff calls my parents by name when they walk through the halls, making it more personal. This is a facility worth looking into. Parents had an apartment at Holland Home, but needed a 2 bedroom apartment with assisted living care. They accommodated their needs perfectly!

2020-02-19From the moment you walk in , you feel the happiness that radiates! The people that live at Vista Springs are all active seniors who have a safe , beautiful place to call home. Staff members are always going above the call of duty to care for those entrusted to them. Management goes out of their way to make staff feel valued.Overall, so many positive things are happening at this location- it is a great place to work and a fabulous location to live. I would definitely recommend this location.

2019-06-18Vista Springs has been a wonderful place for my mom. After her stroke, she has been well taken care of. The staff is caring and wonderful. The food is good. No where is perfect, but Vista Springs does a great job. . . Much better than my experience with two other facilities I have experience with in this area. Whenever we have had a minor problem or concern, they have responded immediately and taken care of it.
