Ordered delivery for lunch for a group of coworkers and myself. Nothing wrong with the delivery aside from it being a little slower. Subs were all still warm, but none of us were really impressed with them overall. They were pretty sloppily made with almost all the ingredients on one end or the other. The bread was also crooked and melted to the cheese so it was messy to try and fix it. Taste-wise they were OK. Their pizza is a much better choice! Not sure we will pay the higher prices for the quality of food we received again though.
Best Alfredo Ive ever had......EDITED...... I posted before the bad experience happened. Josh ordered boneless chicken wings he bit into one and there was some gooey nasty brown stuff inside. I worked in restaurants for 32 years and never seen anything like it. All of us lost our appetite. The manager did absolutely nothing about it. All he did was ask if we wanted a box to take it home. When I questioned them about charging us for it the waitress took Julias credit card with her and asked the manager about taking it off the bill, apparently he must have said no because the waitress ran the card for the full amount, set it on the Table and walked away without saying a word. SERIOUSLY this is totally unacceptable. They also took the nasty piece before we could get a picture of it. First time in my life I didnt leave a tip. I was already disappointed with our service before this happened. We had to ask for our silverware and straws 3 times, Finally we asked a different server and got it.
I was so hungry and it was SOOOO GOOD I ate half of it before pausing to take a pic. The meatballs are freaking amazing. I can taste the homemade authenticity in every bite. First time and I will definitely be eating here everytime Im in town. Thank you Vitales for the delicious meal 😋
They literally answered the phone : Thank you for calling vitalies... we are closed for the night. It was going to be a pick up order at 10:34pm on a Wednesday night.Really?! Vitalies get your stuff together. I am sure you are still serving drinks at the bar right now to your customers. 🤪🤨🤔
This used to be my favorite italian food source. I LOVE alfredo and I just called and went through 20 questions with a less than enthusiastic dude only to have him tell me theyre only making sandwiches. No explanation or apology. Just Oh were only making sandwiches right now and silence. I said Oh. I wanted alfredo. Silence then click . The last 3 times i tried to order some it seems i get an excuse about it or theyre out. Why even keep it on the menu if its never available? Also its noodles and sauce. I have worked in restaurants. That should be the easiest thing. I dont get it. O.o
They informed me tonight that my favorite menu item was no longer available. The manicotti was now only available in cheese only. For many years when I went here the meat manicotti was the go to order for me. VERY disappointed that tonight they said it is cheese only now. Please add the meat manicotti back as an option!
The food is decent, but way overpriced.$10 for 6 mozzarella sticks that are literally straight out of a frozen GFS bag and sprinkled with some parmesan cheese is pretty insulting. (For reference, the Garage Bar downtown hand-breads all of their appetizers, and you get a ton of food with that order for the same price as Vitales).Spent $50 on 2 chicken wraps with fries and 1 order of mozzarella sticks for myself and my wife. For the quality of food that you get, thats outrageous.
This was my first time actually stopping and dining here for lunch. It’s conveniently located west of 131 on West River Dr. They have a fantastic lunch buffet as well as a nice dinner in a casual setting. The buffet was always stocked and the food was hot. Try anything on the menu, you probably wont be disappointed. I personally got a pizza to share, a 12” perfect size and it was one of the better pizzas I’ve had in West Michigan. They offer dine in, carry out, or delivery.
I ordered the ribeye and it was delicious! On a prior visit I had the filet, which also was delicious. My husband had the perch, which he enjoyed. We have been here several times and the food has always been very good! Wait staff has been top notch each visit! Thank you to all!
Had another great experience at Vitales. We joined the virtual wait-list and were seated almost immediately upon arrival. Service was friendly and the food arrived very quickly. They have the best cheese bread in the area, and the meatball and mushroom pizza was absolutely delicious. Plus, theres a great selection of craft beers and the Christmas decorations are gorgeous. I love this place and will definitely be back!
Their pizza is the best!!!! Wet burritos are good too. But please, tell me how you screw up “no mayo!”, told on a phone order, 3 TIMES??? Yup, the massive sub had mayo, LOTS. I called and they said they’d remake it (👌🏽). Picked it up and it was 1/3 the size of what the original sub was, but at least it had no mayo (and no onion or bacon like the original order). I think our subs will come from Firehouse or Jersey Mike’s from now on. I guess I expected too much from Vitale’s 🤷🏻♀️
Got there for lunch with a party of 6. Sat at a large table to fit us but due to heated floors it was stifling hot. Plus sun was in two peoples eyes. We moved out of the sun but had to move two smaller tables together. We were the ONLY ones there. We were told we had to move back to the large table as it wasnt allowed to push two tables together. We ended up eating with the sun in our eyes. They did open the garage doors to venalate, but in 27 degree weather it froze our legs. We ate the entire meal with on one else in that area. I wont go back!!! Such poor policy!!!!!
Ordered a pizza today pick up time was 5:25 p.m.I sat there until 5:40 p.m. until I got up and asked how much longer it would be, I was then told sorry we had to remake your pizza its going to be a little bit longer, real nice of them to tell me as Im sitting right there? And last but not least, every customer takeout parking spot was taken by vitales delivery drivers, had to walk clear across the parking lot to pick up my order. Wish I could take back that nice tip I added to my online order, learned my lesson..... Jets on West River is my new joint!!!
Nobodys fault but the cook. Everyone else was nice. Ordered to go, taco pizza, absolute trash, and wanted to charge me for salsa for the taco pizza. 2 club subs, brown lettuce, on one and none on other, nor tomatoes, or bacon. Ordered jalapeños and thats all I git on it lol. Wth.Side note, they are delivering fixed order, so hopefully its a whole lot better than when I had to pick it up. We shall see..Edit. Remade food was excellent. Taco pizza still trash.
My first time to this location, and I was very pleased. I had the French dip sandwich for lunch and it was really good. Quality cut of meat, very tasty, and freshly made. French fries are very nice and crispy. My waitress was very nice and attentive. The restaurant is set up like a sports bar with the and a bar in the center and booths around the perimeter. It looks like they have a well set up delivery service with their own drivers. If I had any complaint, it would be the price was a bit high. Including tip, I paid $23.00 for a sandwich, fries, and an ice tea. It was large enough that I had 1/2 left over, and the quality is definitely there.
This place closes at 11PM, got there at 10PM. Sign says last call 30 minutes before closing time. I get there and everything is locked with people still inside.I knocked to ask if they’re closed and the guy who answered says “yes”. I said “that’s not what your sign says”. Guy still wouldn’t let me in. 🤷🏽♂️Basically begging for them to take my money since I’m a travel nurse and not many places open when I finish my shift.Should probably change your sign so you’re not turning customers away.
Normally food is great with awesome service, tonight on the other hand was the most disappointing theyve ever been. I had an order placed and taken off my bank account, had a confirmation email and all then 20 min after the estimated delivery time my friend calls to check on our order, and they said it didnt go through, I call and they found it, had no explanation, and said another 45 min to send our order, but then not even 7 minutes later (time to drive there to here) they brought the food, so I assume they had it that whole time. Food wasnt even hot, hardly warm.
My daughter, myself and my boyfriend. We really enjoyed the 16 inch Italian Sausage pizza,There were just a little bit of leftovers. It was delicious. The waitress was very kind, patient, nice, thoughtful, considerate and confident. The atmosphere was wonderful. My boyfriend was making a commentThey need more room here. Other than that,It was wonderfully delicious and a fun time for all. Its highly recommended 👌
Perch not so good, told it was fresh but tasted frozen. Pizza order was incorrect and it took 30 mins for a replacement. Disappointed after coming here from so many good reviews. Guacamole was salty and chips were all broken pieces. Bill was still $60 with just drinks and one meal. I won’t be back.
My husband and I come here a lot. Food is good, the pizza is awesome. Only downside is staff is not very friendly which in my opinion is a huge downside for being a restraunt. Its good to practice being kind and respectful to your customers because we all are very crucial to keeping the business running not really the other way around. A simple smile and a warm hello can keep patrons feeling comfortable and make returning a better experience.
Ive had a lot of pizza over the years and one of the places I always come back to every now and then is Vitales. Truly one of the best in GR. Top 3 hands down. Great pies and a great place to sit down, eat, and have some drinks. I will say though... as good as the pizza is, it is entirely too expensive. There are pizzas in GR that are at this level that are significantly cheaper. 14 2 topping pizza should not run you just under 20$... I dont know where they get their pricing from but it has prevented me from ordering from here anymore and instead order from other pizza places locally.
It was a Saturday night just before a baseball game. The parking lot was full, but we thought we would see how long the wait was. They got us right in to the outdoor patio and we got drinks and ordered within 10 minutes. The food came quickly, tasted good (as always) and we were at the ballpark in time for the game! Their pizza is one of my favorites and this time, I tried the califlower crust because I am trying the keto diet. It was different, but still good!
Took a colleague for lunch and we both had the lake perch. It was the BEST perch Ive ever eaten!! Never been disappointed at Vitales of Comstock Park. Clark, the executive chef runs a fantastic kitchen! As an aside, its one of the cleanest kitchens in a restaurant Ive ever been in. Top notch operation, from top to bottom. Every meal Ive had here is fantastic.
Had a great salad here last week, although there seemed to be issues in the kitchen since my husband asked for less meat on his sub and it still came with an absurd amount of meat. Fries were great, high chairs all seemed to have broken straps since we had to switch out for a new one 2 separate times to keep my 1yo from climbing out. Still, great food. Not our first time at Vitales, and def not our last.
Been ordering from here for some time. Food is always good. This last time I ordered they said they could no longer deliver tiramisu dessert with my Stromboli they always have before I dont understand why they cannot deliver all the food thats on their menu. They will be losing a customer
Had a lovely time with our family! Our server Mackenzi was so kind and friendly. We were glad they were open on Sunday night, although online it says they close at 11 when in reality they stopped serving at 10. It was a bummer we didnt get a last call notification, but oh well. The caprese was awesome, and the Pasta alla Tino was amazing! The cocktails we had were nice, Cosmo 43 and the aperoll spritz. The patio area was cool with screens and garage doors. Overall we were happily surprised 😁
Lasagna had a paucity of meat, and a plethora of noodles. This was just one visit, so perhaps that was an off day. No doubt a belt tightening has affected the food. Same atmosphere. Just wait till you have had several drinks, its unlikely you will notice the difference in the food. Friendly employees.
Came here and the sign said to seat ourself, we went out to the patio but the smell of tar was too strong. We sat in a booth and waited, noticed there were 4 wait staff standing around, no one greeted us, gave us a menu or even made eye contact. After 8 minutes, we got up and left.
Cool place, great apps, best buffalo wings Ive ever had. Very meaty, good texture, lots of flavor. We werent a fan of the spicy bacon pizza though like everyone else - it lacked flavor. Nice beer selection. Service was friendly but we found our glasses empty a few times.
Went to lunch with my uncles, both 80 plus years old. Service was excellent and the food was just as good. The uncles had special dietary needs and they were easily accomodated. All of the staff, except the bartender, was wearing a mask correctly.Had an enjoyable time.
A very bad experience. I called for curbside pick up, spoke with a young, poorly trained staff member and waited unnecessarily for 10 minutes. The experienced staff watched me thru the window for 30 minutes and never put 2 and 2 together. I had to go in to the carry out area to ask for and retrieve my order. This restaurant is resting on its laurels. The food and service simply isnt that good. They will NEVER get another dime from me. Avoid this place. There is better food and service elsewhere.
We told the server that my friends had just gotten over cancer and he could not have anything spicy. The pizza that the gentleman server recommended was too spicy. My friend could not finish one bite. On the way home, unfortunately he got sick. After speaking with the server and management they basically said sorry for your luck.
Ive been to Vitales 3 times since restaurants have reopened and each time my experience has unfortunately been not good at all. The servers were really short and seemed really unhappy. It took an incredibly long time to get drinks and take our order. Im a long time bartender server and also manager so I know all to well tje restaurant industry and everything the servers are dealing with at the moment. People are not always having the best day. I get it. Its just disappointing to come in 3 times and feel like we were just being a bother to the whole staff each time.
Online ordering is awful. Has a point system that has 1 reward that can only be used one time. (this is not told to you beforehand there is zero indication) You continue to accrue points with nothing to spend points on. I made staff aware and they told me to call instead to use their point system, which defeats the whole point of online ordering, I dont want to call. When you contract a company to do your online ordering for you, its your point system too. I have hundreds of points with their online ordering system and none with the restaurant. They did nothing but offer me points when I called.
What a wonderful Mothers Day lunch we had at Augustino and Kerri Vitales restaurant in Comstock Park Michigan. The chicken piccata was excellent sauce was to die for and the capers were just right. Jalapeno bacon deep dish pizza delightful.Manicotti combination the best Ive ever had. Spaghetti with shrimp, tomato in a garlic lemon sauce, Amazing!!!Thank you for a wonderful meal.We will be back soon
Absolutely delicious! Service was friendly, fast, and efficient. Sat outside in the patio area and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Food was so, so good and fairly priced. We had pizza, cheesy bread, and stromboli, they were all very tasty. Highly recommend this place!
Nice atmosphere and fairly friendly staff. The food is not cheap, but not terribly expensive. I would have given this place more stars, but I have never been impressed by the food. The best thing they have is probably the pizza. The sandwiches are usually a bit on the dry side. The drinks are usually pretty good, but not cheap.
Absolutely delicious food! Ive always been a fan of their pizza. But tonight I tried something different. The Spinach & Cheese Tortellini with a mascarpone cheese sauce with tomatoes and grilled chicken breast. Out of this world! Will be ordering again. I have a new favorite. And the food was delivered piping hot.
Called in an order for pickup. 2 subs. 1 pizza sub and one ham and cheese with onion, green pepper, and mushroom with mayo. I should have known something was wrong when I asked if they use mayo or salad dressing and the girl taking the order said they had Italian dressing. I tried to explain not the same salad dressing. Needless to say my order turned into one pizza sub with mayo no sausage.Of course I asked them to start completely over and they still forgot my chips! I wanted curbside because of the Covid thing. I still ended up having to come in to pay!?! They were way overcrowded. You can sit from the parking lot and see staff not wearing masks, and way too many people. Defeated the purpose. The food tasted great as always but the staff sure isnt what it used to be. Highly disappointed this visit.
The Stromboli was great as was the garlic bread and pasta sauce for dunking the Stromboli. The tiramisu was not good. I have never seen a tiramisu made with chocolate sauce and chocolate chips on top. It did not taste like coffee either. It tasty earthy, like what earth might taste like (with a creamy texture instead of dirt texture)
First visit there on a Saturday late afternoon. Just an ok visit. Three of us each ordered meals. 1. Eggplant parmesan, the eggplant was undercooked, very dense. Sauce great. 2. Gnocchi. Tomato basil sauce was tasty but dish was served room temperature, not hot. 3. Blackened chicken Cobb salad was excellent, the chicken was amazing, not overcooked like many restaurants do. So just 1 of the 3 meals was great. Service was adequate. Got our drinks and order to the kitchen fast. Someone else delivered the food to our table. Our waiter stopped to ensure the food was correct. Then we didnt see him again until we were done eating. Never got a second round of drinks ordered. Fast service from the kitchen, but two meals not right. Place wasnt busy, many Vitale workers just shuffling around. No idea where our waiter disappeared too. Atmosphere fine. We plan on trying it one more time there, its close to our new home. See if our second visit is better.
This was the worst pizza I have ever gotten from this Vitale’s. It was burned and there was barely any cheese. It was so dried out that it wasn’t edible. I ordered and paid for extra sauce for the breadsticks and was told one was in the box and handed the other. Got home and there wasn’t any in the box. I am truly disappointed in my experience tonight.
We are currently eating at Vitales in comstock park, 5 of us, 4 men order a beer and do not get Id at all. Our female friend gets ID and then Denied her a drink because she had a California ID. When we told the manager he said he has to have his employees back.We are all 23 and 22 and are over 21, and they are refusing to serve her because she has a California IDVery disappointing in how the situation was handled.
Reviewing as a restaurant, not a bar. We brought 3 kids under 3, we were not there for drinks ;)Handled our very large, very confusing party with little trouble and amazing grace. Staff was very nice, competent, and attentive.Food was very good. Everything from mozzarella sticks to fish came out delicious and properly cooked.
Went Sunday service and food were great. That being said we will not be returning anytime soon. While the the staff were wearing masks, the manager was not enforcing the mask policy inside the restaurant. I counted at least 7 people walking around without their masks and using the keno machine.
When our power went out unexpectedly due to blown transformer on a Saturday, we had to find a place nearby quick before we missed anymore College football! We grew up in Comstock Park and therefore had been to Vitales of Comstock Park many times since its opening. We hadnt been there in awhile because it had become so pricey and the menu had become too fancy for lack of a better word. But I have to say, theyve completely remodeled it and it looks fantastic. And the outdoor area that has all glass garage doors that open in nice weather are awesome! It is a full bar and full service seating area out there with multiple big screens. Mac was our bartender and she was cool and gave us great service! We ordered a 12 pizza from the specials menu and it was delicious! We enjoyed our afternoon overall very much! If you havent been here in awhile come check it out again.
The service was great and the atmosphere was a good mixture of a sports bar and yet fine food served. The acoustics allowed for table conversations even though music and conversations happening all around. The shrimp was overcooked on the pasta dish which is common for pasta dishes, but always hopeful that a place can get it right. The rest of the food was amazing, appetizers, soup, and dessert. The flavors of the shrimp pasta meet expectations.
We ordered online and waited for an hour. I called to inquire and the staff member told me it was out for delivery. Ten minutes later, our food arrived. The fries were soggy and barely warm, the sandwiches were very good however. Im pretty disappointed with their customer service, I feel that it would have been nice to have the staff member try to make things right...🤔
Went to Vincente’s in Grand Rapids last week briefly (killing time between a funeral and a wake). It was our first dining experience since the pandemic, and it was fantastic. Masks were required when walking around the bar/restaurant. Signs posted instructing customers and employees to wash hands in the bathroom. Bar stools were marked for social distancing every few seats, all employees wore masks, and the tables in the dining area were spread out.I was most impressed with their use of menus, or lack thereof. Instead of utilizing menus, they provided small business cards with a QR code, and the waitress gave instructions on how to use it with your phone’s camera to automatically pull up their menu online, thus eliminating needlessly touching menus that other customers have touched. Out of curiosity, I asked what they’d do if someone didn’t have a phone. In that instance, the waitress told me they still provide actual menus, but limit it to one menu for the whole table to share - again, limiting the number of customers touching the same menu.Like I said, our first dining experience in COVID America, and it made me hopeful for our country.Oh, and the food, drinks, and service were fantastic.
Visited tonight, food and wait staff were excellent and masked up. However, there were many customers walking around without masks. The manager never approached anyone about not wearing a mask.I asked him about this and had a dont really care attitude. Said it was probably medical reasons for non-compliance. Will not be back for in store dining. If you have a no mask policy once inside, post it on the door.Appreciate the response from the owner. Not sure about the 10 signs you mentioned. How about a reminder from your manager, rather than accepting everyone without a mask is medical. We definitely dont want the state to shut us down again. Mask up.
Worst meal ever and we have been going there for YEARS. We all notice the reduction in quality of each of our meals. For an Italian restaurant, my Polish grandmother made better pasta. I understand they have a new chef. Lets hope for a steep learning curve. Service was great btw. Waitress did well. Lets hope they get the food quality under control FAST.
Ordered the Stromboli’s and they were very good, the employees in the order pickup were not following Clovid-19 precautions, one employee was not wearing a mask at all and the other had it Sorta half on. Before walking in, I was going to leave a nice tip, since they didn’t care about my well being I left the appropriate tip.
Went there for the 1st time with a large group (26 people). Even though there was so many of us and separate checks; the waitress was on point with orders and who ordered what.Since we had a large group (but different checks) 18% gratuity was already added to every bill.** I ordered the gnocchi and it was AMAZING! **
Service was very good and the beer (Founders KBS) was outstanding. We varied from our normal pizza order, we ordered their deep-dish signature pie. It was 80% pizza dough... and the dough was actually more like bread. If you stick to their thin crust pizzas you should be fine, theyre usually outstanding.
My wife and I have been eating here since we moved into this area in the year 2000. Just about everything we had in our lives when we first moved to this area started at this bar. The food has never been anything less than excellent. We have dinner with many of the life long friends we’ve made here on a regular basis. This has been and always will be one of my favorite places to eat and drink in the area.
Ive met the owner, whos extremely kind. I think he has a nice establishment with pretty good food. However, the service is severely lacking. We wait way, way too long for service. They often bring silverware after already placing meals. Now, I understand it gets busy there, but you have to have a staff who understand how to not sit on their cell phones, and are tentative to their sections. This is easily a 4/5 star establishment with even par service, but theyre lacking, very much. The maturity level on the staff doesnt seem quite there.Off your phones, ladies.
Nice restaurant with good food, but the service was very slow. The place was packed for a Wednesday night and our server was clearly in charge of too many tables. We ordered a sandwich and pizza. The manager came out to let us know that they had gotten our pizza order wrong in the kitchen, so it would be awhile longer. 30 minutes later, our meal came out. We ate an hour after we were seated. Manager took two dollars off from our bill. Hope the other locations are better with service.
Good food ( except our pizza was cold and alittle over done), and cold coffee. Brought us hot coffee after we told them it was cold. Should have told them about the pizza, but didnt. We had a good waitress! As far as I know everyone else had good and hot food. Also our boat/canoe club order a lot of pizza from them and they always get good and hot pizza. Dont know why mine was cold ( and alittle over done)??? My own fault for not asking😏, should have.
I decided to give Vitales a try a for the first time and unfortunately itll be the last. I put in a pizza order at 8pm and they said it would be appropriately 15mins or so, no problem. As I continued to wait until 8:30pm, I asked about the order and they said its coming out. At 8:35pm, were sorry the cook never got your order ticket, so no pizza for you. So I request a refund and had to wait an additional 5 more minutes because the employee didnt know how to. A bad first impression!
It has been some time since I have been her, it was long before the newest remodel which I love. ordered a pizza came out cold wasnt thin crust like we ordered, she took it back got another one came out same temperature, by this point didnt have time to complain had to get our tab and get home. I will not be back.
The food was delicious and the staff is friendly and efficient. The only reason I give Vitales 4 stars out of 5 stars is because of the ultra casual decor. The floor is plain cement and the general atmosphere was meh. I will go again because the food was exceptionally good and I liked the staff.
We just had the most fantastic salmon dinner at Vitales. We have eaten a lot of salmon in many different restaurants around the US and this is, bar none, the best we have ever eaten. It was grilled to perfection; the tiny diced tomato butter sauce was delicious; the roasted potatoes flavored just right. We are visiting in this area, but you can be sure we will be back the next time that we are back. Congratulations to the Chef and the entire staff that are warm and welcoming ! You made our day! Thanks so mjuch!
Located west of 131 on West River Dr, Vitales is frequented by people in the area for both their fantastic lunch buffet as well as a nice dinner in a casual setting. Try anything on the menu, you probably wont be disappointed. Parking is somewhat limited, but a nearby lot makes up for it. Dine in, carry out, or delivery. My only complaint is that it can get a tad noisy, but some people dont mind. My favorites are the pasta dishes, but the pizza is a regular feature at home.
I understand when we came in why it was busy. But it took forever for the food to come. By the alot of customers had left. After she brought food asked if we would like another drink. Said yes and also asked for ketchup. Took 5 minutes for ketchup and drinks another 10. Not the speediest of service.
Ordered their all meat wet burrito. The meat had very little, if no seasoning at all. It tasted like just ground up hamburg. The sauce was also unseasoned, looked like brown gravy you would put on your mashed potatoes. I have always liked Vitales food, but was very disappointed with their wet burrito. I would never recommend one or buy one again
I was in a group of 20 or so people. They kept up on our drink orders and bread sticks. Speaking of the bread sticks, they were to die for. We also had bowls of chicken Alfredo which was also very, very tasty and filling. We were seated in the sports bar, and in order to get to the end of the table, we had to squeeze behind everyone else seated, but I could expect that for a large group. It was just uncomfortable.
We went for food and a few drinks. When we got there everybody that works there was smiling and friendly. I ordered pasta and a local brew. The entire time I never had to ask for a drink. Our waitress, Melissa was attentive and never let me run out of drinks the entire night, even though they were packed. The bill was much more reasonable than I would have expected from a restaurant that upscale. With craft beers, a mixed drink, and a a full meal my bill was a little under $35.
Pizza was alright. We sat out in the glass room ...In December the sun was out ,it was miserable it was so hot out there! I ordered a White Russian the bar didn’t have the ingredients for my drink,a White Russian .... The Bartender had to run back and forth to the main bar each time I reordered I found this silly! If your going to have two bars then stock two bars why would you not and make customers wait while your staff literally run back and forth?!
Two strikes and your out! First a completely wrong order delivered to our hotel off west river drive. Second and way worse: we decided to give a second chance, was told 20-30 min wait to dine in.. no problem.. we sat at bar to wait until table was ready. We sat at the bar for 10 MINUTES, with absolutely no acknowledgement! These 3 bartenders did not even have a full bar. Even if you are swamped you at least let us know you will be with us as soon as can.. You do not walk back and forth past us multiple times and blatantly ignore customers, or proceed to talk with your obvious friends that already have drinks! We sat calmly for 10 minutes then decided to take our name off the wait list and told the hostess that we are leaving due to the rude bar staff and to let her manager know! Not happy and you should be ashamed of this Vitales!
We stopped by last night and it was one of the worst times we have had at a restaurant . The server had a group of family and or friends she was serving beside us and we might as well not been seating there as she spent all of her time at there table. Talking and having a good time with them. Had a hard time just trying to get our order taken. Usually a good spot to stop.
Pizza is unique and definitely one of our top choices. We love that they deliver all their menu as well. Did have one time the food was delivered a little cold, but was a busy time if day. We like to dine in when they have live music, but avoid going during big game nights because the cheering noise scares our daughter.
I order often from your restaurant and I love your food, but I was a little disappointed in my order today. 1st off they delivered the wrong order and then when Returned with my order my hamburger and French fries were ice cold and the potato skins did not have any sour cream that was both to come with them.
I so wanted to like the Vitales , based on the menu I got all excited. I ordered some of my favorites.I ordered 10 wings, all drums with buffalo sauce. The wings were not crispy and the sauce so soaked them they were limp. I basically ate one bite from each and pitched them. I ordered the caprese salad. I expected some nice mozzarella and tomatoes with balsamic. I got two tomato slices and two small dense pieces of mozzarella and a sprinkle of balsamic on two large lettuce leaves Finally, I ordered a garlic roll. I expected a toasty roll with melted butter. I got a semi warm ciabatta hogie roll with so much garlic butter that it was semi melted and poured off roll. I tried to eat around the soggy parts. I wont go back.
Every visit to this location has always been good. Good food and the prices arent bad either. I normally visit for the lunch buffet. The buffet is always good and the selections vary day to day. Tons of tvs and projector screens. They have a very nice outdoor dining area.
Always wonderful. My family loves to get take out, delivery, and dine in. Its a truly great restaurant and love the pizza!EDIT - My opinion on this place has changed over the last few months. While the pizza sauce is still terrific...the service and quality is lacking. Here is what we have experienced (and we are a family that eats out with all of our family with Vitales being one main stop, as well as a family that orders take out or delivery about 1/week): 2 separate dishes in take out orders have had hair in them...and very obviously not ours aside from the color but the placement. Chicken tenders had hair under the breading and the Stromboli for myself had hair wrapped in the dough. The other incident happened to my father-in-law when we went out to dinner there recently - he was given a drink and straw and as he sipped through that straw he received a little more than a drink into his mouth - he received a mouthful of an earwig - live and all. Of course his drink and straw were replaced but that was about it. Of course many jokes were provided that night but in all seriousness that is a bit ridiculous and I dont think we will make a return trip here because you may get a little more than you wanted...in a not good way.
Joined a group with a neglectful server. never meet the server. Never asked if I wanted a drink. Never got asked if I wanted a menu. Never received a water glass. I was going to eat and drink but after two hours of ZERO effort from the staff Im just grateful I didnt have to tip.
Ribeye with red skinned potato and brussel sprouts was easily the best steak Ive had. The parmesan crust on the steak was delicious! Steak was cooked to perfection. I dont normally eat brussel sprouts but these had great flavor I was impressed withThe kids menu was excellent with lots of options and generous portions. Everyone working the floor was wearing a mask and they have a very innovative booth partition I thought was a great idea
The food was good but overly expensive. Many places you could go and get the same good food but less expensive. The overhead is way to high. Nothing is reasonably priced. The service was good but not extraordinary. I wont frequent this place because of the price points. It was clean but certain things lacked. The restrooms were dirty. The waitress was above average.
This is a local favorite. I like to come up here on game night and get the Spicy Lovers pizza. Friendly servers and a wide drink selection. Recently renovations have really made this place pop. They also have pizza to go and delivery if you prefer to hang out in the comfort of your own home.
The Yelp waitlist for Vitalie’s restaurant in comstock park is a fail. They recommend a time to get on the waitlist and we get there to see a 35 minute minute wait when we have been on the waitlist for over an hour. Now another party of 4 are suddenly in front of us.
We normally eat at the vitales in Zeeland so when we decided to go to this one it was awesome. great food is always the even had a little different kind of pizza. The staff was very friendly. But even have a horseshoe bar in there with pool tables and a covered patio lounge. My food came out piping hot perfectly cooked.
Good service and decent food but the bar was out of margarita mix for margaritas and had to serve warm white wine. The room was cold and dark with most of the attention on the bar. Some tv screens were out of focus, which made it hard to read the Keno. Our server was obviously new and the manager did not once stop by, we were a 7 person table. While it was later on a Sunday, it was only 9pm and we should have not been sat in the corner. While Ive never had this issue with Vitales before i am upset it happened on this day. We had just come from my best friends moms memorial service, we needed better from yall.
This place has turned into a joke food is over priced and delivery is terrible. I ordered a club sub and they forgot almost everything on it. They sent me another one and it was just insulting. It looked like the delivery guy sat on it all the way here. the sub was ripped burned and they still didnt get it right. it was just a mess. My family have spent a lot of money here very disappointing.
We were at a friends house. They order pizza, breadsticks and mozzarella sticks. We waited a hour for delivery, was told 40 minutes. When we called the order was sitting there waiting to be picked up. They were rude, they did offer to remake it. Then 5 minutes later, a really rude man called back and asked for a credit card. My friends had said they were paying cash. No apology. Nothing. Just reminded them of them if of the delivery charge. I excepted more from Vitales.
Pretty bummed over all, we order from this location 3 to 5 times a week always tip well and stay polite on the phone...... We order the same food every time and every time the garlic bread is never cooked, 8 out of 10 times we never get the extra condiments we pay for. 8 out of 10 times my food is completely drenched in dressing even though i politely ask multiple times for no dressing at all...... This past Saturday evening 11-17-18 the driver brought us the wrong food, then when the correct food arrived my chicken was extremely pink and raw in the middle, the condiments missing, the garlic bread cold and rubber......... I can understand being busy because of the day but at no time did we tell anyone to rush. With as much as we spend during the week with this company id at least hope they cared about the order being correct and cooked. Dont know if we will be returning our business........

2022-03-27Have been supporting Vitale’s for the last 10 years, but after the delivery we just got, this may be our last Vitale’s meal. This was a $16 burger! Like a teaspoon of sauce on the bun, hardly any lettuce, one little slice of bacon, and no onion. Oh, and this was ordered as a medium and this is WAY overly done. Mozzarella sticks were soggy. The fries taste like fish, yuck. Spent over $50 and just feel completely robbed. Very disappointed; Vitale’s used to be our favorite place to order takeout. Will probably just stick to getting pizza from here only…

2022-03-01Great environment! Food was fresh, hot and tasted great. We were served and checked up on in a timely manner throughout lunch. Just a great experience all around. The entire restaurant was neat and clean, and all staff was more than kind and helpful. Appreciated the music not being overly loud.. that was definitely a plus! Will return and would recommend.

2022-06-07I ordered food for take-out via phone call and spent $18 for Penne Alla Vodka; added sausage and fresh mushrooms…I barely got any sausage; and I’m not sure where the mushrooms went. Absolutely not worth the money whatsoever. I also left a 25% tip.

2022-01-25Place wasnt bad by any means. Waitresses were nice, the place was nice. I give 3 stars because I ordered their spicy burger but it didnt seem to have any spice. Bland. My wife and our friend liked the food they ordered so I wouldnt discourage anybody from going, it was one burger.

2021-08-06Wish I could give ZERO STARS. Server was great and efficient. Food is disgusting, I’d been better off driving next door to Nick Finks or McDonald’s! Raw chicken being served out of the kitchen!? And after that they ‘quick cooked’ grilled shrimp that was ordered to try and replace the salmonella chicken . Gross. Back to uccellos we go.

2022-06-04Great place, my first time there. Service is excellent. The food was outstanding. Of course I only had the one meal, but everyone else at the table had good looking food and none was left behind. Going back.

2022-05-25Came in with a group of 12 for a late lunch. Totally casual get together and the place was slammed.Staff did a great job at getting us a spot and explaining the obvious about being busy. We were just happy to get time to sit and hang out.Patience was abundant on both sides and we had a great time. Thank you Vitales!
