One stop for almost everything you need, plus you can just place an order online and go pick it up when its ready. Never have to go in at all.
Alot of your shelf are EMPTY but you sure are not short on valentines candy sure glad you have a big demand for the valentines candy and not food something wrong if you ask me was very DISAPPOINTED TO SHOP AT YOUR STORE IN GAYLORD
Guess this is there security van. But it was a nice shopping experience and stay over night during my visit.
Found what I was looking for , paid, and left.This particular Walmart seems on the higher end of being clean and maintained.... except the restrooms.I recommend the curbside pickup tho. Always has my order correct and is ready at the time I select. Even seems to pick good produce. I use the pickup regularly.Update. A few things in this world rarely change. Walmart is one of those things.

Good experience. Well stocked. I even got directed to service desk to get faster check out because I just had a few items.Suggestion to carry more Lacroix flavors though. Had to go elsewhere to buy what I was looking ro purchase.
First time visiting at this Walmart. Loved it! The store was super clean. It was well-stocked, especially through a sale... back-to-school time. Aisles easy to pass. Friendly associates. Quick cashiers. Will be back.
The parking lot is filthy debris everywhere theres trash along all the curbs and biggest problem is customers constantly drive across parking spaces on the market side going from west to east across the lot recklessly some at higher speed. I dont feel comfortable letting my kids walk along side me some days. The parking spaces towards the end of market are worst place to park. I would put some kind of buffer to stop this reckless behavior from customers before it becomes a liability considering the store must be aware of this going on all day definitely needs corporate intervention

Review for the auto center:In from out of town, early Sunday morning, we pick up a nail that inevitably flattens our tire. BMW called right away, They had no open tire reps the area, they offered to help by sending out a new BMW. They didnt realize how far out of town we were. We knew that would take all day. A local suggested we take it to Walmart, so we did. The gentleman working in the Walmart auto center was quick to get our tire fixed and us back on the road. Thank you for the quick awesome service!Overall store review:This Walmart is by far the cleanest Walmart I have been in.From the associates to the customers, everyone is extremely friendly!
I came here. A few weeks ago. Not a single person greeted me other then the Bell Ringer from Salvation Army. That is my only complaint. This is my home town Walmart! The place where my Dad worked to support our family for years. Still the co workers I saw seemed to be enjoying their jobs and were laughing and giggling. The store looked great! Called rang 48 times and still no one picked up the phone. This is not right. I see why no one likes the store. People are to busy chit chatting to help others playing on their phones give a rude look. I will shop at meijers in alpena Michigan and will tell every person I see to go to meijer from now on. Pitiful just pitiful

Just experienced a person tell me they could not sell me a Samsung A32 5 because I did not have att contract. This is sad because that is just not it works . You OnLY get the discount the 100 off if your renewing your contract. The 279 price is the out the door price .. please train your staff.
I was not happy with my shopping visit today. After spending time trying to find a item a employee came by I asked her, only for her to tell me it could be down there or there and walk away, didnt help me find it or find someone that could help me. So then I was already not very happy, I come to an isle and met a employee with big carts going through, I let her go through, no thank you, acknowledgement at all. I come to the bread department where the meijer bread man is checking the bread and joking ask what is the softest loaf, he doesnt even acknowledge me. Very impolite people in this store. Think I will start shopping at Walmart. I work at Rite Aid, we never treat our customers that way.
This is my first choice for a store. They have food, clothing, auto supplies, and most anything one could want!!!
Usually a good experience, this time our cashier talked the white off the snow, to anyone who would listen. Friendly good, but slow and inefficient, bad..We got what we needed, they were surprising well stocked for all that is going on in the world right now.... Just hard to find good help now days.
This Walmart has the nicest staff out of many Walmarts I have visited and they had everything I needed.
This happened about a month ago. I called and waited on the line for around 10 minutes. A rude older lady picked up and did not give me a direct answer to my question. I felt like she was rushing me and had a very demeaning tone to her voice. If you are going to have people working the phone lines, you better get those who are actually trained in customer service.

This store is the worst one in Alpena for service. You can not have 1 checkout with 8 or more people waiting in line. There should be a minimum of 2 open checkouts during the day. Self checkout is the worse for hiring cashiers. I dont get a check from Walmart to bag and scan my items or even get a discount for doing an employees job. Its security for them.
You can always count on Walmart to have what youre looking for, especially in food, stocked and on the shelves. Its a big store that can tire me out sometimes but with a little logistical planning, I can get what I need without too much effort.
Best fishing lure selection for the price. Good prices on televisions. Staff could be better trained about the electronics being sold.
It was unclean, there was a terrible smell in the produce aisle. No real protocol for shopping during a pandemic & the staff seemed un-attentive when assistance was needed. Ill only shop there if I absolutely need to but will avoid as much as possible.
Products i needed they didnt have. Only 3 check out lanes open the store was pretty busy. Casher was very nice and friendly.
I went through Lane #1. Cashier was grossly unkempt, covered in dandruff and talking about his food wants to go out the same way it went in. Probably not the best rep for your store in this age of Rona. We drove 80 miles to go to this specific store. Wont make that mistake again any time soon.

Not really that clean , alot of the employees are rude, not all but alot of them. Seems like majority of people that go here dont adhere to social distancing or wearing masks at least the few times Ive been there. In my opinion Meijer is a much better Store.

Lower prices than most stores. Their great value products are every bit as good as major brands. In store pick-up is best system by far than any other in store pick-ups except maybe Home Depot theres is very good also.

I like the gals that work here. They are friendly and eager to help. I dont get that across the street at the other big box grocery store. The lines arent quite as long here either. They are swamped during any holiday season. The prices are a lot cheaper than any place else around. And they are starting to stock better options. I am going to try the pre-order and pick-up shopping soon.
Gross. Not enforcing any kind of safety or masks. They are doing nothing to protect their staff and the visitors. I would never visit hear again and I feel so horrible for the staff!!

The osl guys in the electronics department were Phenomenal helped me get my wife one of those apple watches after going their I don’t think I’ll ever go too a corporate Verizon store again as long as those group of guys are still their! will definitely continue too shop their for all my families electronics!!!!!

The staff does Nothing about people who take their dogs into the store. I understand Actual Trained Service Dogs, but comfort animals and general pets need to be banned. There has been multiple times i have seen people go in with their Untrained Nasty Pets and let them lick/wag their tails all over the produce. Do Not buy anything that isnt in a completly sealed package!!!
Just visited the Walmart in Alpena. More then 40% of the customers were allowed to shop without masks and several employees were not were their masks correctly exposing their nose or mouth and nose. I dont feel comfortable shopping at this location and will not until Covid-19 protocols are better adhered too.

Didnt have the tires I needed, would have to wait a week for them, I told them I need a pair now, didnt even act like they were interested in helping out on something different that would of help me out.
They had most of what we wanted. It was a Monday and there were not many people there, but not many were wearing masks.
I was surprised to find out that I can fill my dogs prescription here at the pharmacy in walmart. 😊 Cost half the price too!!! Love it!!!

Manager came to our family check out where we had four separate orders in an unlimited line. We spent about $100 total and she had the nerve to tell our family we were taking too long. Transactions take time and two people got cash back. We arent ones to cause trouble, but my dad told her she was being rude and she said we should thank her..... For what exactly???? We support her job and she was rude. Said a handicap person, being two elderly woman wanted to get in quick. Wait in line or have Walmart open more lanes.

Its what you would expect from a visit to any Walmart. This store in particular excels in the area of keeping their store clean and the employees I know personally are very friendly.
It is a Walmart, not much to say there.Depending on the time/day youre lucky if half the customers are wearing a face covering. The workers wear them, but often have them below their noses. I wish I was exaggerating, but the area is bad for covid compliance.
Its Walmart. The food is on the left, & home stuff on the right. Almost always have a good customer service experience here. I prefer this store.
Standing here at the crafts station. Been here for 15+ minutes. I had to call the store to have them page some help. Which theyve done twice now. This place is a joke. I will take my money else where next time I need materials.The plus size section is absolutely terrible. Unfashionable. Not as hip in comparison to straight sizes for ladies. The leggings for plus size have improved over the last year. But for the most part. The plus size section is seriously lacking fashionable options.

So many things to see, do, and all the sales are just fantastic. Almost anything that you could want in a store with the same great low prices that you would have trouble finding anywhere else. Multiple self-checkout stations, helpful and friendly staff and Associates... I had no problem finding somebody to help me find everything that I was looking for! Also offers and online retail space, in-store pickup for online orders or two day shipping. Their online presence also offers items from retailers that are not available in store (some with fabulous discounts!) And that otherwise you would have to travel a large distance to reach a retailer that supplies these items.
Since self checkouts are credit card only, they need to have more than 3 or 4 regular registers open. Also, they need to enforce the mask regulations. Very disappointed.
Always out of so much. Im sick of running around to other stores to get the things I need or want. Walmart you need to step up your game.
Customer service was poor. Cashier was rude and and angry.. what did I do do him? Store was sloppy and a mess I couldnt find anything without looking around a while shelf. I sadly saw some outdate yogurt, by days, which quickly made me question my other items. To say the least, not at all a good experience. Will be trying other stores for a while...

I love shopping at Walmart! You can go in anytime of day or night and get everything you need or want all in one stop. Very convenient!! Also has a hair salon, eye doctor, game area, oil change and tire shop where you can get service when you shop.
Dirty, rude employees, dumb entrance and exiting for people with breathing and back problems. Poor quality produce and meat.will never do self checkout unless they take 20 percent off for my labor. Clothing is dark and drabbie. Need more?

The lines are too long, not enough regular checkouts open. Not everyone likes self checkout, especially with really large orders.

Typical Wal-Mart. I am old school and dont want to self check out. Why the long lines in regular check outs more often than not.Employ a few more people.

If I can rate a one star I would because this location is not close enough to where I live. I would literally trade 40 locations near my home for this one. Can’t thank Deanne the manager and Dawn the dept manager enough. Extremely rare that I deal with managers like this. If I can rate a 10 star for your amazing customer service I would. Also the rest of the staff here are helpful and patient in helping you find what you need and the inventory is well organized. To make a long story short they made my job a million times easier by taking the extra measures in ensuring I got what I needed . Thank you Dawn and Deanne very much for taking the initiative in calling me back and updating me on a status of an order. I drove 7 hours away from Chicago to Alpeno which was well worth it and I’ll do it a thousand times over. Plus I discovered Tim Horton’s. ( move over dunkin) I dealt with many nice employees and managers before but this was my most meaningful shopping experience EVER! Simple gestures can go a long way that unfortunately many people don’t have. I’ll be back for sure to bother you guys with more things I need in the near future. Haha

I hate Wal-Mart on principle. But its just a terrible shopping experience regardless. The parking lot is cramped. I swear the spaces are actually smaller than usual lots. The products are generally low quality, albeit cheap. You get what you pay for. $15 shoes lasted my daughter a week. And dont get me started on the produce that goes bad in a day! Very little organic options. I just avoid this place altogether if possible.
Most the workers are cool, but corporate keeps them on a really tight leash. Gives the store an unhomey feel... Its no longer someplace Id like to spend all day in because the workers must always keep working...
They had 5-6 lines open that had 5-8 people lined up at each one. Self checkout had 12 or more lined up. Brand new self checkout none open or working. Seriously I will start using Meijers more often. This was horrible

I am beginning to dislike my shopping experience. I happen to be only 51 and the fact that I cannot reach items on the top shelf and have to get on the floor to get to those items is very discouraging. I am 80 years old and very active and do like to shop . Your store set up is not very friendly.!!!!!

Walmart is the worst convenient store Ive ever been to. Every time Im in there I am treated like a criminal just because Im under the age of 30. I get stared at, am given dirty looks, and am followed around. It makes me extemly uncomfortable every time I have to go there.
The shelves were pretty beer because of all the people doing online ordering however the people that work there were very pleasant and the store was clean

This store hates the handicapped because they refuse to have enough working electric carts. Not even one for a 72 year old disabled veteran. Shop at Meijer. They always have electric carts.

As always I tried to avoid this horrible place by having to transfer money from one store to another for a relative I was forced to go and just like I suspected upon arrival the staff doesnt know how to run the computer after a ignorant display of unintelligence that lasted 45 minutes I was then sent on my way and told maybe I should try somewhere else how is the same disappointment from the same Big Box franchise that sold out the United States of America

I went to get a tire, they only had the most expensive tire for my car in stock. I also had to wait for 2 hrs only to have their system to go down, so they couldnt service my vehicle.

Place is over crowded, employees are rude. Couldnt run wic and Ebt and had to run the order twice at two different registers.
I had a great customer service from the auto center. They checked my air filter and changed my window wipers for only a small charge when I went in to get my oil changed. Only took about 30 minutes too.

I have been shopping here ever since I had been able to shop. And it is an amazing store for the latest and greatest video games. I dont know of the other stuff, often Im am to busy in the tech section to even notice the other section of the store haha.

This is our usual store, but somewhat frustrated by it, its either been rearranged, so you cant find what you want or they had an item, but now its discontinued. Also invariably the shelves have been stocked and an item that you know that they have is not available, is this done on purpose? I believe it is. To get you to purchase a higher priced item.

Took home a new verizon phone! Who knew the best service for verizon was inside walmart. Those guys in black The OSL guys are the best! Tim took care of me saved me money, hooked up our phones, and fought for us for over an hour with verizon over an issue we had. Got it done, and on a personal note.. OMG!! Can I take him home too?

Terrible customer service. Some of the workers are really helpful and nice but alot if them just look angry and dont pay attention to you when you ask for help and walk away. Kindof ignores you. I knkw it wasnt just a missinderstanding because this has happend multiple times with the same person.

Walmart is not what it used to be. I have walked around the electronics department so many times with no help and ended up going to meijer for the tv and sound bar I had wanted. 1 door to enter. Same side exit but piece of tape separating sides. 1 entrance to bottle /can returns (3 only) empties to exit lane. So you leave store to reenter into traffic then back onto side walk and back to lane next to exit.
Terrible first I asked for help in dairy and with a sour face the lady in dairy told me they didnt carry Kefir Yogurt when I was looking right at it...I was looking for Kiefer flavored with stevia and inquired if they carried it she said they didnt carry Kiefer....I then asked another employee how I would file a complaint and she had no idea Walmart needs some employees with brains like Meijers!!

Only one register open, and the cashier Sandra was 7 aisles away talking with another employee. Seriously waited eight minutes for her to reluctantly wander back to her register. I think she was hoping Id just leave. Yes, there are some low prices here, but its frequent experiences like this that make me avoid this store as much as possible.

It was good, only needed a few items today but the layout of the store made it easy to get in and out quickly

Assistance managers are very ride and could use a little more training in customer service
Had the worst time. Their alcohol policy, as a company, needs to be reworked. The cashier that denied my sale didnt even explain the policy, just told me no. Not friendly, just drive the extra 200 feet to Meijer.
Terrible customer service Ill continue to go to Meijers and pay a bit more for my items just to not have deal with rude workers and hella long wait lines while workers wander the store looking dumbfounded

It would be a far better experience if they would open more check-out lanes when there are so many people in the lines.
Theyre never fully stocked and never have enough cashiers.
People dont want to stand in line to pay for their groceries why theres 20 self-checkouts setting with no one there fire the self-checkouts and hire real people not trainers to train you how to self checkout
Didnt like how they set up for black Friday it was very unconventional how they set up the hall way to where everyone was on top of each other

2021-07-11This Walmart SuperCenter was clean, well organized, the store associate was super friendly in the self check isle and I found what I needed. I went into this facility for paper products, sundries and personal products.

2022-06-11Just had to deal with Steven. He is the most unprofessional and rude manage I have ever spoken to. We called the location earlier in the day to see how much money could be sent through the Walmart money gram. We were told by a girl there that we could transfer $5,000.00. We drove 2.5 hours down state and then went to have the money transferred and “Steven” said that he would not transfer the money. He stated that it is a scam and he would not let my grandmother send me the money. He literally told my grandmother she was a scam! Who in their right mind would speak to a 65 year old woman like that??? Really? I called myself and spoke with “STEVEN” about the situation and he again stated he was not going to allow any money to be sent out of his store? Really? I am extremely disappointed in Walmart all together now. NUMBER 1, his extreme unprofessionalism and the way he treated my grandmother. Even making her cry.2: making us drive 2.5 hours away to get turned down when gas is this high. That trip cost me over 100.00 in my truck.3: no body should ever be treated the way Steven treated me and or my Grandmother. You might want to do a little check and review on him and his behavior.

2021-11-26While Black Friday shopping at Walmart today I tried to purchase an item that was clearly marked $15. When I got to the register it rang up $69 luckily I had take a picture of it... The manager that I spoke with Deanna was very rude and refused to honor the price. First the employees stated that it was in the wrong area and then they said that the price had been switched by someone else however the price was written and permanent marker on the bottom is $15 see pictures... Manager Deanna refused to honor the price and told me if I wanted to speak to another manager I could stand there for an hour... I have since contacted a corporate office who passed my information on to the store manager and Im waiting for a response. Pretty sure that I wont get a response and Ill end up contacting the district manager. I plan on forwarding this information and the pictures to our local news company 9 and 10 News. Terrible service its no wonder why Amazon is passing this company up.

2022-02-26The Walmart Auto-Care Center should stop telling its customers that lugnuts swell due to weather. That does not happen, ever. They swell because the Walmart Auto-Care Center technicians are fitting them on too tightly, causing them to swell, and then lying about it to cover themselves.

2021-12-26Needed More check outs open. Come on, its the Christmas shopping season. At 2pm on the 20th of the month. 4 open checkouts with a human, the rest are self checkouts. Come on Walmart, really? You make more money now then ever and cant afford real people customer service checkouts.

2022-01-20Called to ask a question and they couldnt even bother to pick up the first time and then when they picked up the second time i was transferred and then no one picked up again. I understand being understaffed but its 9 am and its not like its the breakfast rush at mcdonalds.

2021-12-01This post is about the auto center. While the employees were nice, I was there for 3 HOURS waiting to get my oil changed and tires rotated as they do not take appointments for oil changes, it is first come first serve. If they just make appointments, it would have been a normal 20-30 minute visit and this review would be 5 stars.
