I wish every Walmart was this clean, organized, well stocked & quiet 🤣. I don’t know if it’s because I’m a city girl & I’m used to all the chaos that Walmart can be or what, but the Bad Axe Walmart is the BEST I’ve been to in Michigan, hands down. And an added bonus? Everyone is so sweet & friendly 🥰
Workers are not very helpful and can be rude. Can’t go through an actual line we have to self check out with out a discount for checking ourselves out. Ordered online for a pickup and had to wait a long time to get the groceries. Went all the way home just to find out that our fruit was old! It’s November 1st and they give us October food!! I will NOT be going there anytime soon!
They dont honor Walmarts return policy, refusing to refund if item has been opened. Small store. Can never return deposit bottles, line is always too long. I go to Meijers in Bad Axe or I drive 25 miles farther to go to a better Walmart in Bay City rather than shop here. Grocery pickup is good.
Walmart has taken the vast majority of regular cash registers and made the self check out areas, now this store has only 4 regular checkouts with cashiers. They are forcing you to self checkout but prices are ever increasing. Tell me again why Sams charges a yearly fee when sister store Walmart is no different
I came to Michigan from St. Louis Missouri and realized I had forgotten my medication. I quickly called the Walmart in Bad Axe to see if my prescription could be transferred from my hometown Walmart. She said why yes of course I can. I was so relieved and the process took less than 4 minutes. Very impressive. 👍
Not pleased. Workers shopping for pick up orders were rude. Blocking aisles and reaching past you to grab what they wanted. Store was not well stocked. Had to check out my own order and could not get help when something rang twice.
This walmat is so nice. Clean and set up with thought and purpose. All the employees we encountered were friendly and cheerful.Still I have to wonder when Walmart Corp. Is going to realize WE DONT WANT SELF SERVE CASH REGISTERS. WE WANT COSTUMER SERVICE!!!

Usually the best prices in Huron county. Cant stand all the changes happening at once though! Its a mess. Elders prefer a real person not self serve check out! The supervisors standing around just watching while its super busy is kind of rude. Should be help get people checked out to lower the build up by the registers when busy. They have check out apps that use on them. Helping people to get out quicker to make better use of their time should be their #1 goal! Their is a lady in electronics that I absolutley adore. She has saved me tons of money and is very knowledgeable. Cant remember her name but she looks like she has a mohawk type style she wears to the side. Why Im giving 4 stars instead of 3(:
I visited right at 6:00 am when Walmart opened up. The employees all seemed like they really enjoyed their work. Lots of good vibes and laughing from them while they were stocking or going about their routine. The store is usually clean and stocked. Besides the happy employees, its your basic Walmart experience.
A good shopping trip...found all we wanted.
Sad to say but this place is filled with the most incompetent employees I have ever seen. Spent 30 mins at the service desk just to be told that I needed to go to the library to print off a return label for them because they couldn’t figure their printer out. Called Corporate and filed a formal complaint.
Need more lanes open long long wait times for the check out thats open which is usually only one lane. Older people w a cart full of groceries does not wanna stand there n scan stuff some older people are using walker or motorized cart or a can they dont need to be standing and trying to scan all their stuff its not right

Very disappointed they are remodeling and I was looking for an item they had about two weeks now they dont have or cant find. The manager wasnt helpful, which he should have been since he is the customer service manager. On a positive note I love the Meijer they at least care about their customers. I also called the corporate office and filed a complaint.
Store is dirty and unkempt. Things are tossed everywhere and its looks like the employees havent straightened up the shelves in months. Not to mention, employees are standoffish and block the aisles with their carts. I had to turn around out of at least three or four aisles to get around. Anti-maskers also block aisles in large congregations of stupid. So glad that Meijer is here now so theres a store around that actually cares about how it presents itself.
So friday night 8:30pm lady at the door let all kinds of people in with no mask. She tells us we have to have one on as everyone walking out also are not wearing one. She couldnt answer questions on why either just said she was stationed at this Walmart today.....she was very rude! Good way to lose more customers on top of competing with meijer!
I love how nice the workers are!!! They always help me out whenever I ask!!! The prices are pretty good and theres usually a big selection of things!!
Love shopping my local Walmart. Very easy to find what I need and associates are very helpful. Prefer Walmart over Meijer, their prices are better. Thank you to the workers for all your hard work through these crazy times. Stay safe!

I normally LOVE shopping here. I came in just for a handful of quick necessities, and in the brief time I was there I counted 20 or more people WITHOUT masks. And countless more who werent wearing them correctly, either under the nose or completely under their chins! I just lost 2 relatives to this pandemic this week! It is completely unfair and unsanitary to allow shoppers in who arent considering the high risk people who may be around them. My 15 month old son is high risk, so I shop without him and STILL have to worry because these customers obviously are let inside and are not held accountable to the same rules we should all be following. You can and SHOULD do better Bad Axe Walmart.
Bought a baby swing that online said it was 127.82 went through self checkout and it cane up as 149.00 let the woman working know about the price difference and was told she could not adjust the price that we would have to go to the service desk. Decided to come back to do it another day since my baby was crying. Was given the run around about having them refund me the difference and now have to go home take a picture of my box from the swing i bought 5 days ago to get the difference. After being told to go take a picture of the swing that was in the store with my toddler and baby. The woman who was helping us was very rude about giving us our money back and did not want to let us exchange diapers for another size. This is the only walmart i have been too where i had a hard time exchanging diapers for another size. If you want good customer service i would not suggest this store. Thank goodness meijer is in bad axe now i will never go to this walmart again.
Went for emergency contraception and they didnt have any in stock :( being out of stock has been a problem here a few times for many different items. But they get points for having good prices on houseplants.
Contactless pick up for groceries is great, pull in let them know your there, wait for a bit and have them load your groceries for you &pull out. Love the service, they do an excellent job!

Does this even need to be a thing? We all know Walmart is one of the worst places one could visit if they want anything to be quick. We’ve all seen the jokes about only having 2 aisles open and 20 people standing around. This happens here too,but the kicker is all the cashiers are geriatric old women who I doubt even know where they are!They are nice ladies, don’t get me wrong, I really blame the managers, because they clearly don’t understand what customer service means. The other day I had to run in and grab a micro SD card, figuring I could just pay at the electronics section, nope, not a soul around. Went to self checkout since all the aisles were packed and we already discussed why that is. They didn’t have the key to take off the anti theft device, only took them about 10 minutes to figure out what to do.Went in today to do a propane swap, paid, they paged a manager to come out and complete the exchange, I waited outside next to the cages for over 15 minutes. Had to go inside and remind them, paged a manager again, he finally comes, but was taking his sweet time getting there. Big wigs need to do some corrective training here.
Badaxe Wallmart is the best one in the thumb. A wide variety of choices in every department.If you need it youll probably find it. Hugh grocery dept. Fantastic vegs And fruits. Great in house bakery. You will like it.
Wondering why they have someone at the entrance to make sure all customers are wearing masks. Went there yesterday and the man entering in front of us just walked right by him with no mask on. When we mentioned this to the Walmart employee in charge of making sure everyone wears one he said yes I noticed that too. Several customers in store were not wearing masks. Very disappointing.
Absolutely ridiculous how long you have to wait to use a self checkout scanner. I waited for nearly 45 minutes and my icecream melted before I even made it outside of the store.

As of yesterday Walmart has stopped taking online orders. Just found out they had to close the store for deep cleaning. Wonder why that was necessary? We have had the same DHHS recommendations since April. Whelp, Kudos for trying again.
Ignorant staff the racks are always a disaster. Can never find anything and only 2 registers open which means you wait forever. Always moving the food isles around having to search for your normal stuff which causes frustration... Im glad Meijer opened Ill never be back to walmart...
Produce is a little sketchy some days vs others, but I usually find what I need for a great price. People are nice and super helpful! Photo department is my favourite place as far as customer service goes. Super nice folks!
I waited in line for bottle return over a hr patiently once inside got rushed . Was told I was over my limit for the day and asked to go to the end of the line again but watched a guy with full shopping carts and 2 garbage bags of bottles able to return all of his without going back in line. The guy had well over 60 bucks in returns.

Only option for groceries for us pretty much. Not as much variety like at full stores. But they try to be helpful. Some of their stockers in grocery could use some people skills.

Typical of a Walmart, this store had few registers open. The store was clean, but the ability to “get in and out” is nonexistent.
Didnt have half the stuff I went shopping for so went to Albertsons. Employees were standing around not helping shoppers.
Only reason for the one star is because I’m here at the grocery pickup today and all the associates are NOT taking the safety measures of having no contact with the customers. I see associates sitting at the next car to me just chatting it up.. and she is going to go work with hundreds of people after them.. this is not stopping the spread..
This Walmart is not a good store at all. They offer mechanic services and I was told to never bring my car back their again because “it was too hard to work on”, and I had just asked for an oil change. Some of the workers are very rude, and I honestly can not wait until Meijers opens up.
The bathrooms in the front were all blown off a mass dirty were not a mass dirty and they werent moving very and they werent moving very fast at all in the checkout lines

The customer service is always horrendous here. Every time I go. It’s to the point where I would rather drive even further out of my way. The staff either act like they can’t be bothered with a question and pretty much roll their eyes whenever approached. OR they end up not even knowing where the product is. They really need to hire better employees.

Bad Axe WalMart is clean, well organized, carries current merchandise, and has many friendly associates.They carry some organic produce and gluten free options, which are typically hard to come by in Huron County.Once, when I was 8+ months pregnant, and I had a rather large load of purchases, a sales associate helped me load them into my vehicle.They have a large sale or clearance area also.
What a great place to shop. That CSM tonight sure was helpful at the service desk, site to store, cash registers, self-check and she was happy to help customers understand how to use savings catcher and walmart pay.

Pharmacy staff was very rude. They were trying to go on lunch and forced around 6 people to stand all cramped and jammed up in between the benches then chained up the end. I will be switching pharmacys as the lady at the desk was also being rude and trying to rush through everything.
Its a Walmart in the middle of nowhere. One of the only stores in town. The prices are ok, the staff is nice, and its fairly clean.They have a little of everything, including fabric/costume making items.I have been here about 30 times over the past 8 years. They keep up with the times....so far.

Clean, well organized location. Staff I encountered were all nice except one. Overall a decent trip. Lots of choices, food and everything else we needed for our vacation in Michigan. Overall Id like to give walmart a zero because of thier shady hiring /pay practices etc but thats not specific to this Walmart.

Wish they had better choices in produce, just basic. Plus produce prices are horrible! They changed their donut selection now will have to go somewhere else for that. Dont carry Hoffmans salami or Kawalskis garlic bologna, plus Strohs ice cream seems to disappeared so we shop elsewhere for those. If it wasnt for pharmacy being on our plan we wouldnt hardly ever stop in. Dont like how they are trying to force us to only buy certain brands.

Couldn’t wait to write a review about this location. I drove 7 hours away from Chicago to the Alpeno location first then 4 hours to this location because I needed a few things for my job they didn’t have in the Illinois locations. The assistant manager and staff here are knowledgeable and helped me get everything I needed. Want to give a special thank you to Zoey. Can’t thank you enough for your great customer service and awesome enthusiasm. You literally saved hours and hours of my day by taking the initiative in helping me and being patient with the million questions I had, many employees and managers that I dealt with would of seemed annoyed and hung up the phone or started giving attitudes Lol. The managers and staff here are doing something right, most businesses need to take notes. So glad I found this location for my future orders. Thanks!
Too many times Ive gone into the Bad Axe Walmart and have encountered extremely crabby employees! If you arent a somewhat happy person or cant fake it like others can, I highly recommend not dealing with the public. You do get the occasional pleasant cashier but some of them are just cranky older ladies that dont smile or even acknowledge your existence.
They need to have both entrances open it is a pain when u r handicapped and all spaces r full have to walk a mile to get to the store. Meijers has both entrances open much more convenient

Bad axe wall mart keep the doors open at closing time so I could get an adapter for the 220 hook up for my motorhome. I was very impressed with the kindness and service. Without that adapter no power or AC inn the motorhome thanks
While most employees are pleasant and Margaret the greeter is superb at her job the deli dept is AWFUL! Too many times to count, I have had the person behind the counter look right at me and walk away and continue doing whatever they were doing without even acknowledging me. Is rudeness a job requirement for working in the deli?
Things are in weird spots, like most Walmart stores... but it was clean and they were handing out free masks at the doors.

Sandusky never has items in, shelves are a mess and the workers are grumpy. The pharmacy gets 3 stars. Shop at Meijer in PH or Bad Axe!
Well I have the flu and was waiting back a few steps to keep from breathing on everyone and the pharmacist tech came out with a chain and cramped 6 or 7 people in a small area... YOUR A PHARMACY GET IT TOGETHER, people come to you while sick with a lowered immune system. Will be changing pharmacies.

I dont really care for any Wal-Mart. The meats seem slimy every time I have bought it. Great value products Im not happy with either. The cheese of great value does not even melt. Not sure how they can claim it to be cheese. When buying can goods check the exp. Date most times employees will not rotate the products. I do know this happens at most stores not just Wal-Mart. Everything is cheaply made and falls apart quickly. Not a good deal if you have to replace item within a short period of time. I will not turn my home into spark products. One product from great value that I have found is good is The ultra soft toilet paper. I feels pretty close to Charmin. The people (workers) are not always friendly. The cashiers are not doing there jobs of making people wanting to come back. Wally would be very disappointed if he was still alive. This is what happens when you let corporations take over and they are only worried about making their pockets thicker. Meijer is talking about building a store out here. If they do Wal-Mart will lose my business quickly. They are only doing as well as they are because they have no competitors. Only stores We have here is Wal-Mart and a Spartan grocery store. So for people to get all their needs have to shop at Wal-Mart. If I got the money I will travel 1 1/2 hrs to get to another store.
It is the only store that sells my favorite coffee pods. Prices are reasonable on many items. We use the pharmacy as well.

Your amigos are never charged and with my foot in a brace and a bad hip I was stuck after about 50 yards of driving then was forced to Hobble through the store trying to gather what I needed then I was down for the entire day afterward. This happens entry time I go. It sucks. Our town was happy to hear we are finally getting a Meijer only to find out that Walmart is doing everything in its power to stop Meijer from coming in. The Bad Axe Walmart is the most difficult place to shop it seems as if they go out if their way to inconveniences their customers it starts when you have to wait for someone to fix the bottle return machines and ends when you are ready to check out and the employees are to busy talking to other employees to take care of your return slips they need to completely overhaul the be way they deal with bottle returns.
I love shopping here Marks the store manager here and hes all ways so helpful, I always go in the self check out the lady that works there so helpful and cheers me up by making me laugh and smile whats her name again darn brain farts🤣 Ill update this when I get her name 🤗

Since COVID19 started you are letting people hoard stuff you never have anything on the shelves...and they always give me a hard time because I have a service dog 🐕🦺 because I have PTSD and seizures

Saw a drug deal go down near electronics last year, and I wont go back. It is not a quality store. The store in Caro is much nicer, cleaner.

Well if youre a pizza person this store is got every Pizza you can imagine a whole aisle of frozen pizza. Its clean and friendly
Walmart is Walmart, theyre loaded with everything. I mean what else can you say. I didnt have any problems shopping there.

One of the places I HATE Shopping at Most, they are Constantly moving their items, or “remodeling” for LORD knows why, their workers are little help and never there when your actually looking for some help one way or another.

2022-04-12Theres no canned cat food on the shelves. The shelves were always stocked with canned cat food. Your employees are not happy working for your company! I have yet to run into a person who is smiling! Either let the Union in or give your employees a better wage or give them better perks!

2022-05-10What can I say its Walmart, always low on stock or sold out. Nobody can answer a basic question although in their defense they probably arent told. On a good note their are more cashiers so thats a plus.

2022-02-21Just went through a big renovation the past couple of years. There are 6-10 self checkout counters on both ends of the building and 2-3 regular checkout lanes in the middle. Very happy with the upgrades of everything and they also have more of an assortment of products and goods.

2021-11-22This is our hometown store. We have purchased a toaster and carpet shampooer from the Bad Axe, Walmart. In less than six months both have completely broken. The Bad Axe Walmart refuses to do anything, saying we should have purchased the extended warranty. Why should I have to give extra money to them just to get appliances to last longer than 6 months. When I called the online number I was told to take it to the store for an exchange. The store absolutely refuses to take any responsibility for the products. The manager Rick told me that he couldnt even look it up without a receipt or date, even though they can scan my card. I often find Rick unpleasant when shopping at the store. I am done shopping with the store. There have been to many times where the products are horrible or we are overcharged.

2021-10-07This store has come a long way and seems to be getting better and better every time! For anyone that hasnt been there yet, mostly are all self-checkout but they do have a few lanes cashier lanes left. Things have been rearranged quite a bit, so it might take some time to find whatever you need! I do love going to this Walmart, they have never let me down yet!!

2021-11-23Go to Meijer instead. They have done well to get the store looking nice since Meijer came into town, but Ive never really enjoyed the customer service at this store. Except for the manager, he once helped me out with a customer service issue personally and I am grateful.

2021-08-17Love this place! Its beautiful, peaceful, everything is just lovely. We have the cottage and it is so cute. The breakfast is very nice. Homemade tasty. The muffins are very good and the coffee is too!
