We came in on a Wednesday morning. No wait time. Sheena was very attentive and friendly. Our food came hot and fast. Very delicious. We will be returning.
First time to try it out, the food was great, staff is wonderful, I saw so much on the menu that I cannot wait to try, (I was pretty amazed by the Turkey sausage, it was delicious)
Good vibes, good food, and good customer service. The staff was pleasant and nice. Everyone was upbeat and respectful. Its good to walk into a place and be acknowledged with a smile and a hello or good morning. You dont get that, that often. The food tasted good, very flavorful and fresh. I like the variety of waffles they had. I had the vanilla oreo and my mom had the strawberry white chocolate. Everything was excellent. Will definitely be back to try something different. Praying this place stays around for a long time and I wish much success and plenty of business for them. Nice to have a great breakfast/brunch spot close to home.
Why is half the restaurant empty? No tables?I walked in with my 3 sons and was told “there’s a wait” but saw 4 available tables… No one sitting at them. Knowing this was going to be a popular hot spot, management and owners might want to invest in some more dinning opportunities. These card tables they use are not expensive at any means. Accommodate your clientele. More workers are here than I’ve seen at any other dine in restaurant. Make it make sense.

Waynes Waffle House is great even if you dont order waffles! I ordered Weezies loaded waffle fries and Chicken hot honey biscuit. Both of them were outstanding and I could only eat about half of each. The loaded fries were a very large portion with brown gravy shredded beef cheese and onion rings it was so so yummy. The honey biscuit had hot honey which is a little bit spicy but not too much. The chicken was cooked perfectly the biscuits dont crumble to bits- theyre good and massively big- yum. My husband ate a biscuit plate with eggs and beef bacon. He enjoyed it. The coffee was great and our server, Ashley is an attentive professional server. Its great to see such a wonderful family business in our town. I hope it continues to prosper!
Never heard of it . Order 4 different waffles with chicken and it was amazing.! Also got to meet Wayne.! Very nice young man.! 10 outta 10.!

I totally enjoyed the food. It was fresh, seasoned well and tasty.It was a Sunday, if you’re a music 🎼 lover they had a dj there. Nice atmosphere of peace and love. The owners are Good people and Family business. Good customer service. Keeping it professional as well. Nice place to dine & enjoy.

First time visiting this establishment. We had an awesome waitress Shanequah that was very personable and friendly. I had the Berry waffle and it was delicious. The wings and potatoes were good as well. I will definitely be going back

Just got out of bed really excited to see what replaced hometown only to come into a restaurant blasting music at 9am. Me and my boyfriend were shocked at the prices 15 dollars for 1 waffle your paying for mostly fried chicken instead of nice fancy waffles there wasn’t an option to get no chicken at all. We decided to leave over to sunrise coney it just wasn’t worth it especially with the loud music very disappointed that this is what replaced hometown
I hade a waffle with white chocolate icing and strawberries. It was delicious waffle wasn’t to hard on to soft it was perfect. Chicken tenders fried perfectly best place to come to for breakfast or lunch
Today was my second visit there and I am glad to see a new place to eat in Centerline to eat. Service was good and the food was great. First glance at the menu the prices appeared on the high side but when you see how much food you get and the quality of the food it was well worth it. I will definitely go back to eat there again!!
Waited 2 hours for a table. Was quoted a 35 min wait the first time i called. The second time i called to check on the table they told me another 20 mins. Got here at 10:30 didn’t sit down until noon. After we finally sat down to order they ran out of tenders so you had to get wings they also ran out of regular bacon so the only choice you had was turkey bacon. Service and wait times need some work. Food was decent but not worth the wait.
Omg I’m in love. This salmon and grits is so good! Thanks to the nice ladies who greeted me upon entering and talked me through the menu providing me their opinions and I promise I was not let down. See y’all soon !!!! Keep smiling 😀
I finally hot to trytgis place out. I was very pleased that I did. I ordered the caramel apple waffle and didnt realise it came with 3 chicken wings or strips. I chose the strips which to my surprise were quite large. The server, i hope i get the name right, shaniqua was very friendly and courteous. If you want great chicken and waffles this is the place to go.
I attempted to go here today with a friend. He arrived first and stated to the waiter that there was a reservation for two which he misspoke because they don’t take reservations here which is totally fine but what is not ok is that you tell him that you will get the host because you are unsure of what that is (how do you not know what a reservation is in the food industry regardless if you offer it or not) and she never comes to address the situation. Somewhere in there you finally add us to the waitlist 4 customers below when we actually arrived because he realized we were still there and no one ever came to address us. After waiting 40 minutes to be seated behind at least 2 of the groups that came after us we finally are sat still trying to give them a chance to redeem themselves. We immediately place our order and inform the waitress I may want to place a to go order once my mother decides what she wants which she said was ok. Shortly after I try to place the to go order and she tells me I have to wait a min til she gets back which I said ok too. 30 mins later she still had not returned to the table to take the to go order and our food still had not arrived so a hour and a half into this experience we decide to leave never receiving food or good service. My friend did drink a Sierra Mist which I attempted to pay for because I’m not looking to get anything for free. I came here in hopes of supporting a new business but I refuse to spend money somewhere that does not care about peoples time and service is terrible. I can’t tell you how the food was because we never received it. This was my first time coming here and I truly don’t see myself returning.

It was Not a good experience at this restaurant Waited for an hour and 10 minutes for food We only seen our server twice throughout the whole experience Then when it was time to get our bill the server was nowhere in sight The waffles and the toppings on the waffles was pretty good The potatoes that came with the meal was amazing But the chicken could have been fried a little harder They have other things on the menu I would like to try But my overall Experience I have to rate it a 2 But try it out for yourself I was there July 10th 2022 With my family
The best Waffles and Chicken...I had the Cherry Cheese Cake...so good not too overly sweet..just right and the Chicken wings were Crunchy and hot

Place the order over the phone and had to wait an additional half hour to 40 minutes and they never made my order. And on top of that I tried countless times to call on the phone and could never get through. Will never ever return to this business again

We have been following this place since it opened. Due to the popularity we waited for the right time to go.WORTH THE WAIT FOR SURE.The food is worth the price & wait.>If you complain about a 30 minute wait after you order and it comes out fresh and HOT then you do not enjoy good food <Yes we waited 30 minutes, but the food was AMAZING, hot as heck and so good.The staff was friendly, the music was good and the place was clean.I will be back and I recommend giving them a try.Also like there is no pork in the building-who needs it anyways when the chicken is the star!!!Do not sleep on this place.
I’ve been coming here every Saturday since I knew they changed the hours! We’ve never had something that we didn’t like and I couldn’t even pick out a favorite. The chicken is GOODT! The owner (or maybe the manager) is extremely nice. Can’t wait until next Saturday!!
Food amazing! Customer service needs improvement . Waited about an hour before receiving food . Waitress never checked up , had to inquire about our food . But the atmosphere was amazing! Food is the BOMB. Just expect to wait atleast 45 minutes .

2022-04-17Food tasted delicious. Seasoned good. I enjoyed my plate. I had the jalapeños cornbread waffle with spicy chicken wings. Mac n cheese was good. My 7yr old enjoyed it. Green beans seasoned and taste good. Service was good. You will wait a bit for the food to be cooked but it was worth it. Definitely will be back

The atmosphere makes you feel like you are coming to a family gathering where good & well seasoned food is going to be had. I tell everyone I can about this place. The chicken wings are seasoned to perfection (NO EXAGGERATION). Dont sleep on this restaurant, if you do YOU will be SORRY!!!

2022-04-01I stopped by here today with my son. The food was good . When I walked in one girl told me 40 minute wait , than another told me over a hour for a table. The second girl was right . We waited over a hour because I had heard good things about the food. Plus being a business owner myself I wanted to support another black owned business . The waffle was the best thing. The waitress was very nice .

2022-04-11We went here yesterday for the first time. This place is amazing!! The waffles are so tasty and cooked to perfection. The fried chicken is hands down the best fried chicken around...for real!! Even the bacon burger was fantastic!! Nice atmosphere and super friendly staff!! This place rocks!!

2022-03-24Waffles were great, but chicken was undercooked and when I confronted the owner about it, he could care less. He stood there with his arms folded and very nonchalantly said “you want me to remake it?” Mind you this was two days later (I was recovering from consuming the raw chicken). The rest of the staff was very understanding and apologetic even though they denied the fact that the chicken was raw. I even brought the chicken in to show them and they all just stared at me like I was lying. I’m only leaving a review because I did not appreciate how the situation was handled. They gave me my money back but I really wish they would have taken the situation more seriously being that I was very sick afterwards.

2022-06-06The food was awesome, the wait was kinda of long, but definitely worth the wait. The customer service was on point, which is rare nowadays. My husband and I will definitely be back next week. I even took a carryout for dinner which consisted of wings, Mac and cheese and green beans and let be tell you..... it was soooooo good! Definitely a repeat customer. If you ever wanted to add more to the menu, maybe some salmon croquettes or fried green tomatoes. Lol... thats only because the food gives a good southern hospitality feel.. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
