I just expected more for a tune-up than just running diagnostics and then concluding that I would need an upgrade which I already knew and telling me it wouldn’t help to do the cleaning. My system still cools so not sure why it wouldn’t have helped? I paid a little more last year to Service Pros and while the tech did tell me I was going to eventually need to upgrade the equipment, he still went ahead and ran tests, added some freon, cleaned the system, fan, etc and provided a guarantee that the system would last for the summer. I guess I got $44 worth of test/time and thus I can’t complain but just not satisfied and will likely use Service Pros when it’s in the budget to upgrade.

Comment: I called because of a furnace not lighting issue. I did look at it and surmised it was a bad gas valve. Repair technician appeared next day and confirmed the bad gas valve. Prior to the work commencement, i received an estimate for $1200. That was for a $100 part and under an hour of work. I questioned the high charge, but reluctantly agreed to the work. He did discount the work a small amount. I have been a customer of theirs sine 2011 when they installed the furnace and a/c system. I did speak with the owner and relayed my concern. I have had them come out for scheduled servicing in the past, and have received, what i consider outrageous estimates for repairs. I will not have any further dealings with them. Obviously they do not believe in repeat business.

Comment: The technician they sent me was able to clear the error messages and got straight to work on correcting the faulty drainage system the original installers and subsequent techs missed. Seemed to work when he left. Lets all hope that i finally get to enjoy a whole summer with a fully working high end AC....8 months since their last visit and whole condenser replacement... system error and fan failure. See attached photos.Had this company come out to inspect my AC back in 2022 before summer started.? Found a Crack in my gas heater so they sold me a $13000 energy efficient heat pump from Daiken.Turns out that it doesnt work THAT well at cooling home in Temeculas summer of 110+ degree days. I found out only a few months after purchase with home reaching 88+ degrees with AC set to 68 and lower.They never gave option for extended warranty at time of purchase or service call that same summer so all labor and inspection fees are out of pocket.Now, just over a year later, I am stuck without AC while they take a week to come out and charge me $78 to tell me they have to order parts THAT RELATE TO THE ERROR CODE I GAVE THEM ON THE PHONE FROM THE THERMOSTAT - I GAVE THEM THE ERROR CODE WHICH MEANS THIS FIRST GUY ONLY CAME OUT TO CHARGE ME $78 TO CONFIRM THE CODE I TOLD THEM).Now it may take a week or more for the two boards to arrive, then they will supposedly try to schedule a warranty service tech to come out and replace them for the lovely price of over $500 in labor with ZERO guarantee that my one year old daiken system will ACTUALLY be fixed. (By this point it will be at least 3 WEEKS WAITING TO THIS POINT FROM ORIGINAL CALL)IF THE REPLACEMENT OF THESE BOARDS DOESNT WORK they would need to diagnose my system again which would start the money gouging cycle all over again.I should have just bought a window AC unit for a few hundred...replacing would be easier cheaper and faster.All managers not available to help expedite or discount anything, they leave around 3:30 and my tech only arrived by that time.Horrible business model and No emergency SAME DAY service calls available either.HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE fromWe Care!I got a call today that they were going to have someone come out and take care of me today even though I told them I work nights at the hospital and would not be available past 5pm. The driver just called to tell me that he would probably make it by 4:30pm. I guess I am not getting aby help from them today again...which means I lost all day of sleep waiting for him and will come home to try and sleep in my 90 degree home with all fans blowing full blast until they figure out some way to get someone who doesnt wait till end of day to come to my home.Lets see what happens.Warranty Tech came out and about 2 1/2 hours later lets me know that my one year old condenser is bad and needs to be replaced. That I should speak with Daryl about how much this would cost me.Cost me? A and just over a year old that Ive had issues with a few months street installation, and I might be having to pay for a new condenser?Talk about price gouging practices. Where is the Care? And where is this Daryl who doesnt return my calls and now doesnt have a direct line to be connected to?

Logan Massey was here that same day and stayed until 6:15 to stop further water damage by replacing the valve and removing the leaking water heater. This was on a SATURDAY. Since the water damage is necessitating mitigation, demolition and rebuild, we have a plan in place for him to help at each step of the restoration process. Comment: Jacob did an excellent job performing our planned furnace maintenance for our Lennox HVAC system!We started an annual service contract with We Care plumbing, heating & air when our new system was installed. As a result, we receive separate annual inspections for our plumbing system, A/C system, & heating system (furnace).Every technician we have had is well trained, knowledgeable, very professional, and treats our house as if it was theirs.Just a side note, if you have a control pad like ours (see photo), and it goes out after 5 years, there is no warranty for that. The recourse is to buy another complete control system for over $1,100! I took apart the control panel, since it was dead anyway, found the part number for the screen and got one off of eBay for ~$79. Its a very simple fix if you know how to solder, but the company cannot do repairs (because of liability?).If you have this problem with your control panel, feel free to respond to this review for added instructions:-)Richard

He took a look at the sink and after testing it discussed the potential issues with me. He then provided the various services/fixes along with their prices and explaining how each would resolve the issue and prevent future problems. Found trash left inside my attic which had just been re-insulated, left behind by the installers. After speaking to three managers, no follow up. I wouldn’t do business with WeCare ever again. Comment: I purchased a complete HVAC system 3 years ago with Oak Island Heating & Air Conditioning and the service was FANTASTIC! The thermostat went bad recently so I called them up and they said my unit was covered under warranty, PARTS ONLY. They said a $79 dollar charge would apply and they sent a tech out on the same day. They tech was very friendly and confirmed that indeed it was a faulty thermostat, and the part would be covered by warranty. I was then presented a bill for $220 the LABOR charge. Most rational people, I would think would find this charge totally unacceptable to literally CLICK on a new direct replacement t-stat to the wall...no mounting a base plate, no wiring just a CLICK! After some back and forth a supervisor got involved and they offered to drop off a replacement t-stat and only charge me $75. I was confused on why they would drop the LABOR fee from $220 to $75 and just drop off the part...not even installing it/CLICKING it into place. Too little...Too late! I will gladly pay $150 for a new thermostat and CLICK it on myself rather than giving a PENNY to this company. I understand that every business needs to make money but when their moral clarity falls to the wayside, I will gladly spend my hard-earned money elsewhere NO MATTER WHAT THE PRICE. Oak Island Heating & Air used to be good, what happened?UPDATE: The company replied with a bunch of B.S.The t-stat that went out was a Honeywell T6, I went to Lowes and purchased a Honeywell T5 for $99.99I used my California Rebate of $75 and CLICKED the new one on the wall for $25. Works great now. CLICKED right on NO WIRING, NO BRACKET, NO SCREWS. Nothing worse than a dishonest company attempting to cover their tracks.

Comment: 1st- Consultation was VERY thorough, professional, explained all the details, was NOT pushy or salesperson - gave facts and options - told about alternatives or DIY fixes.2nd - 1day on the job - flexible with my work schedule and having my adult kids present to start work - at completion I arrived & was given detailed report of completion and found pipe issues.3rd - Follow up to find leak, repair and test unit. Very thorough, very detailed, professional, suggested additional preventive care like vacuuming out the dryer vent to keep the attic/AC/HVAC units/area clean/clear of possible contaminates.4th- Not happened yet - but scheduled to repair the drywall, re-mud/retexture wall where leak had to be fixed. Confident that this finish work will be to the same standard of the rest of the work.5th - their accounting department was very detailed and followed up on the loan/ end of things - made sure that we submitted paperwork/information in time to qualify for the bonus or rebate that 1st visit spoke of and informed of. Nice that ALL of their departments work TOGETHER for the customer.Highly recommend!

Comment: Horrible, I would not use them if I did not have to. The workers are ok, the management is the worst I have ever had the opportunity to deal with. We Care only cares for taking your money. In the last 5 years, various workers flooded my home twice, leading to months of inconvenience. The service department is just as bad.In order to service your equipment, you have to keep track when the service is due, call in and hope they have available dates for service. They will not call the customer to schedule maintenance. All that while one must pay a monthly membership fee.Recently they somehow, drained 6.5 lbs of coolant from the AC unit. No leak was found after spending 1500 dollars to replenish the coolant. I asked to speak to a manager in order to solve the coolant issue....no response.

Comment: We became acquainted with We Care after purchasing a new air conditioning system through Costco 3 years ago, when our 32 year old system ‘died’. They were excellent to work with. They are professionals who show up on time, and do quality work. We chose to ‘stay with them’ and they provide us with regular maintenance and checkups. My home is 35 years old, now, so it needs a little bit of maintenance. NEIL, our plumber, photographed and discussed the normal wear and tear on faucets, pipes and hoses, in detail, helped me prioritize repairs most critical (so I wouldn’t feel compelled to do it all at once), and possible financing options. HE DID NOT RUSH AND BLOW THROUGH, but took time to give my home a thorough check-up. I have been VERY HAPPY WITH WE CARE’S SERVICES, AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY.

The review went well except that the recommended valve replacements were unnecessary as I tested them after he left to verify that they shut off and on without any problems. Since the quote to replace a toilet provided by me was very high, I selected another plumber who completed the task and found no need to replace the water valve.Also, I felt that the companys purpose of offering this plumbing review to an existing customer was simply to sell more services.

I found them through Costco. Always get a few quotes first so you have a good idea of what the job is going to cost. They installed everything in 1 day in a very reasonable time. He was very professional, very polite, extremely knowledgeble and not just about HVAC, but about everything related to heating, cooling, design and engineering. He was clearly not just a salesman. He went over all our options with us, which things are worth it and which things would cost more and of course give a benefit, but we had to decide if the extra cost was worth it. No pressure on any particular sale at all. Went over the benefits and history of the company We Care as well. Very impressive, and an apt name for the work they seem to do. It being a Saturday the replacement hot water tank was not available till the following Monday but Jose was able to remove the old leaking tank and at least get me cold water throughout the house.He returned promptly on Monday to complete the job which was very neat and tidy.
