WEINGARTZ in other cities:
Sorry to give a local place a bad review. Brought them my Husqvarna riding mower because it was running very rough. Paid the large mower diagnostic fee and was told that it had no compression, and most likely bent push rods. Over the winter I decided to take it to a small engine mechanic. He found it had a chewed ignition coil lead, most likely from mice. Replaced it, and it works perfectly. I hate talking bad about a place, but come on, I expected better.
I purchased a zero turn mower 2 years ago from this location. The staff couldnt be more knowledgeable. It really helped the decision making process. I had them come out and service the machine to get it ready for the season. It really is top notch service. I went back to purchase a snow blower and I appreciate their professionalism and help to get exactly what I needed. They are my only choice when it comes to my outdoor power equipment. Highly recommend them over any big box stores.
I live in Pennsylvania and was looking at mowers, and threw YouTube I found this dealer with great prices on their mowers. I gave them a call and spoke to Craig who lined me up with a specific mower I wanted, gave me everything I needed to know, and had a great experience with him. I didnt end up buying a mower yet because i havent decided what to get. But with my experience this far I would recommend Weingarts above all the dealers in my area. Thanks for your patience and help Craig. When I do decide what to get I hope I can purchase threw Weingarts in Ann harbor.
I was in the market for a new snow blower and was tired of dealing with the Box stores who know very little about products in genral ,So I decided to try Weingartz in Ann Arbor since this was going to be a longevity purchase .I ended up speaking to a gentleman whose name is Vince Progar. He walked me through the different units and showed me how to Operate each one with his recommendation for my application, I Purchased a Toro electric start 721 model 4 stroke.Vince was very knowledgeable about each unit and what it could handle.I felt very comfortble no pressure . I highly recommend this place and ask for Vince Progar.
We recently had our snow thrower serviced and I am so impressed with everyone that I spoke with from the first call to the drop off.It was a nightmare to figure out how I would get my snow thrower to a service shop, so I was so relieved that you would come and pick it up and deliver it back home. Service turn around was less than two weeks and my snow thrower is purring happily again.Thank you so much for taking good care of us!
I would avoid this place if at all possible, at least the Ann Arbor store. When I was initially shopping for a riding lawn mower the Ann Arbor store sold me a mower that they didn’t actually have, were super quick to take my money, and super slow to return it. I ended up having to drive to the Utica location to purchase a mower (my salesman, Paul, was really good. Very helpful. Very pleasant). Anyway, two weeks after I bought the mower I was mowing my yard and one of the blades fell off. I requested service and was contacted by the Ann Arbor store who told me that I would have to pay to transport the mower to and from the store for repairs and that if they perceived there to be any damage to the blade then the warranty was invalidated and I would have to pay for repairs. Really? On a two week old mower with less than two hours of use? I immediately emailed the store to inform them that I would not be paying for transportation or repairs. The following day I contacted the store to speak to the manager, Steve, who answered the phone and stated “I know who you are. I know where you live. I know where you work. I looked you up”. Really, bro? I’d really like you to do something with that information. It seemed a little stalkerish and unnecessary but I guess some people’s ego’s are a little fragile. I fully expect to get a phone call indicating that they will not honor the warranty. Thank goodness for free, employer sponsored legal services! 😉
I walked through the store for a few minutes passed multiple employees and no one spoke to me. I made eye contact with employees and they looked to other employees as though they wanted someone else to help me. I’m sure their products are great quality. Once I finally got someone to talk to me he was very helpful. Maybe if I looked less confused they would have been more willing to help me.
Extremely disappointed! I took my riding lawnmower to be service the beginning of October, with a promise date of 10/21/2020. Its 5 days later, never heard a word from them. I called the service department and after 15 on hold to talk to anyone, they informed me it hadnt even been looked at! I asked to speak to the service manager, but he was out to lunch at 11am. I have no idea when I will ever see my mower again. I am sorry to my neighbors for the eyesore that is my lawn!Update - to the owner, I do not know how to send you a direct message. However, I did leave a message for your service manager. My order is under the last name Offredi. My number is on my work order.****They did come through and completed the maintenance along with a discount. Now I am very happy and will continue to do business with this company. Thank You!!
Once again the staff at the ann arbor store went above and beyond to make me happy, that Im a customer of theirs.John at the service counter and his manager John listened to my concerns about a repair that had taken place with my Xmark mower. Both agreed that it didnt make sense and took that part of the repair off my bill. They could have blown me off, but instead treated me like I mattered.Thank you guys, and thank you weingartz
Their website was very helpful at narrowing down our selection of grass whip amongst their products offered. We went to the store to see them in person and they were easy to find. Staff was friendly and ready to answer any questions we had as well as pointing out any promo offers we could get with our selection. Checkout was quick and easy and they made sure it was in working condition before leaving either it.
Very patient, and knowledgeable sales staff. A great price and service. Delivery was on time, and free, he did spend a lot of time making sure I knew how to use it before he left. The gas tank was also full. A 5 star is perfect for the people who work there and their store.
Very nice and friendly people! They accepted to repair my tractor after all others refused to accept it. My tractor was stored in my backyard shed for almost 10 years not only that, it was also RAT-NESTED. They turned it back to me running like a CHAMP. Thank you again!
We really appreciate the level of service from start to finish when purchasing our Yanmar tractor. When arriving I had questions about the tractor and its capabilities, both Craig in sales and Patrick in service both helped me better understand the tractor. They took the time to get to know my needs and educated me about the Yanmar SA series.Although some mishaps happened during the purchase process (not in Weingartz control), Weingartz was on top of the problems and quickly resolved them. Well definitely be coming back for years to come for our outdoor needs here.I personally want to thank Craig, Steve, and Patrick for making our experience as smooth as possible. Staff is both friendly and helpful throughout the store/location. From purchase to delivery, they made sure things were done right and to the best of their ability.
Walking into Weingartz store is simply remarkable. You’re greeted by the staff as if you were life long friends. The store is immaculate, it’s well organized and everyone is literally a “subject matter expert” on their equipment.Steve (Store Manager) inadvertently walked past me, immediately spoke to me with a very polite welcome and asked if I needed any help. I didn’t feel pressured and he was informative on their latest sales. In this era of the Covid pandemic, I felt extremely safe and truly appreciated.I will return to Weingartz and encourage all my friends to frequent their Jackson Rd store. It’s got all the right parts, great customer service and really, really good people....David R. Klubeck
I recently purchased a pro-level chainsaw with Kathy at the Ann Arbor Weingartz and could not have been more pleased with my experience! The pandemic has put a strain on everyone, but their willingness to do business over the phone/email, offering curbside service, and wearing a mask during customer contact were noticed and very much appreciated. There are businesses in the area not doing the same and they are not getting my business. Kathy was great and Weingartz will be getting my business again!
Best mower shop in the area. I bought a mower and a weed whacker from Weingartz and I am very pleased with my purchase. The salesman was also very helpful. I also bought a replacement mower blade and the staff was very good at helping me locate the right blades. It would be more helpful if they were open on Sundays, but I suppose everyone has to close some time.
Some service has been good some not so great. Customer service from the point of notification has been subpar. Had a mower repaired after an error the their part and was not notified of its completion. I had to find out if it was finished nearly 2 weeks later. Recently ordered a part and had to call to see if it was delivered because I was not notified.
Slight delay in an order my husband placed. Went to go pick it up after it was supposed to be there and it was not in stock. Nobody ever notified us. They did sincerely apologize and promise to make it right. Will be back to try again. They do generally carry a lot of items we cant find other places and this was a special order outside of peak season so not too concerned about the delay, just would have liked a call stating it was not in. It would have saved us a 30 minute trip there.
First storm of the winter. I needed a new snowblower, but also needed to dispose of my old one. Louis handled this sale & return for me, and had the new machine ready to go in less than an hour. The price was highly competitive, and the entire experience was excellent. I would highly recommend this Weingartz to anyone in need of equipment or service.
Customer service goes a long way to ensuring happy customers. I had the displeasure of stopping in here today and trying to get warranty service on a Troy-Bilt machine. I purchased a machine in July of 2018 when I bought a new house and moved two households into the house. Of course I lost my receipt somewhere in the clutter of moving and cleaning up. Fast forward to today when I stopped in to drop the machine off for service. I was a small engine mechanic who worked on this type of equipment for 10+ years and I already knew what was wrong, but could not provide the warranty service. I am pretty familiar with the ins and outs of repair shops having worked in multiple myself. Almost immediately the tech behind the counter started arguing with me about the tractor. Do you have your receipt?, No I do not have it, but the warranty is on the tractor not the receipt. I will deal with obtaining a copy later., Well we wont begin work on it until we have that receipt, I Appreciate that, like I said, the warranty is on the product and not the receipt. I will Deal with obtaining the receipt later, I am not going to argue with you on it. I need this machine in here for service, Well we cant even do anything with the machine until you have that receipt., I completely understand that, again, I will get the receipt and resolve that issue later, lets insert this unit for service and if you are not able to do that I will go to Countryside Lawn & Garden Equipment down the street. I am not going to argue with you about a billing issue. This is when the lady next to him said, No one is arguing with you, why are you being like this?.I Immediately walked out and drove down to Countryside Lawn & Garden Equipment. I spoke with him and two minutes later my machine was being entered for service. He told me the same thing, that he would need the receipt but he was 5 weeks out of even getting to the machine so I would have time to obtain it. We dropped the unit off with him and left.I called Lowes on the way home and before I had even passed Weingartz (5 minutes away from Countryside) again I had already spoken to an agent at Lowes and had my receipt sitting in my mailbox. Less than 20 minutes had passed since the person at Weingartz refused to enter my machine into the system for service. I will not darken the doors of Weingartz again.
Horrible service experience. I dropped my mower deck off to have the mandrel replaced, and they told me it would be roughly 14 days. Not ideal but ok. I called after the 14 day mark and was rudely told they didnt know what the status was (thanks Theresa). A few days later I received a call asking for the mower model number (which I had provided at drop off), as they had just started looking at it. Another week goes by and I called again for a status, and again I was told its in the shop, but I cant see what the status is (thanks again for your help Theresa). Another week and I call again (this is 28 days now), and am rudely told i dont know what the status is again (yep, Theresa again). I stated it seems a little ridiculous to have been there that long and was told this is actually pretty good. Not the ideal response Weingartz...I then called again a few days later and finally received a helpful and courteous response (thank you Alexis!). Unfortunately they had ordered the wrong part and had to send it back, and no one knew what the status with the vendor was. I went in that day to take my mower deck back and go somewhere else. I received it, and it was soaking wet with puddles of water, so it had clearly been sitting out in the elements for over a month. Furthermore, the only visible action the service department had taken was breaking the broken mandrel off. Not even undoing the bolts but actually breaking it off.Things I learned:1. There is no one there more rude than Theresa.2. Apparently a month wait time is considered good.3. They will keep your product outside in the elements while they have it.4. Everyone I spoke to in the service department (except Alexis) appears inept.I wont ever be back. Thanks for wasting a month of my time waiting on this. My lawn looks like a jungle now.EDIT: I never did hear from a manager, as their comment below states I would. Further confirming my original review.
Bought my RedMax string trimmer there last year. I also was going to purchase a different model spool head, they said they can put one on at no cost. I said; coolWent to pay and the spool was not in the price, I mentioned they missed it and they said the aftermarket head AND install were no charge. -Very nice.Ive begun to use them for some Cub and JD parts now. Prices are the same as online, they come in faster, and are local. -Also very nice
The three times i have been into the store, the customer service was attrotious. As a lawn care business owner, shopping for high end equipment and seeking parts help, you would think that the staff would be interested in at least putting a fake smile on. Let alone be kind and try not to look miserable.
I have tried everything I know to get someone there to answer a phone in parts. Ive stayed on the line 25 minutes, left a message through the operator with what services I wanted with my phone number. I know you are busy but really. Some one cant take 5 minutes to call? Poor way to do business.
Thorough, knowledgeable, accommodating, impressive. Familiar with old & new model lawn & snow throwing equipment & parts. Large inventory of parts & new models. It would be a fun lunch break just to walk through the store with a box of cracker-jacks & check out all the equipment. They were pleased to take in stale gasoline for recycle/disposal. Open on Saturday.
I own a commercial lawn and snow company. A few years ago I bought an Exmark mower from them. In December I tried to buy a $6000 plow. Was told it would be $6800. Asked if they could match a competitors price of 6 even. Was told they would call back they were busy in the showroom. I called back an hour later, started from zero. I was told they would call me back again. They called back and told me that the price they came up with was $6800. I said, I have a quote from your largest, nearest competitor of $6000. They said they would call me back. A comedy of errors on how to sell!Today, I called needing service on that mower. Talking to a rep, identified myself, we had a lengthy conversation. The rep lost my signal and kept asking are you there? I keep saying yes, can you hear me now? He says try calling back. We have a bad connection and hangs up. I tried to call back. Multiple redirects and I ended up in voice mail. I am sorry, but if you know who you are talking to, and you get cut off. Call that customer back!I am now a happy customer of their nearest, largest competitor. Are you a homeowner? Good luck. Business owner? You had better have low standards for service.
Nothing but great things to say if you go you have to talk to Alex Perreault. I came in because I was having a hard time finding a zero turn because of this covid situation it was almost before closing and Alex was able to get everything going and out the door that day he deserves the upmost gratitude from me I was having a bad rough day and he was able to help me out and get me going thanks alex!!!!!
They always treat us at New Farm Cupboard great Thereasa goes far beyond what most reps would do spent a bit of time finding a lovejoy spider coupler for a 30 years old log splitter. The staff are very knowledgeable and always friendly with a warm welcome.Very honest too we recently had a Stihl MS270 break a couple of bolts and they were honest about the cost to repair it compared to the price of a new saw. Basically it was cheaper tobbuy a brand new saw over the cost of repair, which was greatly appreciated.Like their slogan says!
If you need a machine for lawn and or garden care, these guys probably have it. Lawnmowers from the small push mower to large commercial machines. Weed trimmers, rototillers, leaf blowers, etc. They also have a service department that repairs and services all brands of equipment. They arent cheap, but they carry top notch brands.
Had a close to new Karsher Gas power washer, did not start after a winter break, took there for warranty service, whatever they did to the equipment it did not work even after taking it back two times, on the third time the engine started but the pump was damaged, not to mention they soiled the washer badly, really bad service and quality standards.
I went to this store while I was in the area to look at buying my first “adult” chainsaw. I was a little hesitant and not exactly sure what I should buy so I really needed some help. Joel greeted us with a smile and helped explain everything and answer all of my questions. He addressed all the important points (including things I didn’t think about). I didn’t buy anything that day, as I was waiting to buy my land and thinking and doing my own research. Fast forward to yesterday, I called the store and spoke with Joel and he remembered our previous conversation and said I’ll pull them out and get everything ready. I went with my two sons (1 & 4) and it was fantastic. Joel helped with the kids while explaining all the finer points of the saws to me. I ended up leaving with two saws and a bunch of needed equipment. His service was ABOVE and beyond my hopes. The crew at the store including Craig and (I don’t remember her name) where so kind and even bought my 4 year old candy from the vending machine! (Obviously they asked before). They all helped load everything into my truck and wished us well. Today, I decided to change one of the saws out for a pro model, so I called Joel and he was an absolute rock star. He had the paperwork already going and the new saw already serviced and ready for me. My kids were happy to be back and I can’t believe the kind of service you get at this store. This is not the closest Weingardz to me, as there are two others closer. This is now my store and I will now only go to this store because of all they have done. Service, staff and smiles were amazing. 10/10. Everyone in need of lawn or power equipment in the local 50 mile radius go see this man! It’s worth your time and money!

2022-07-16Recently as with many places they have been short handed. Unfortunately took my blades to get sharpened and had to wait a few days to pick them up. The wait was ok, the issue was they gave me the wrong blades back and unfortunately I didnt notice the size difference till I got home and tried to put them on. Luckily after driving back there again they did find my blades and said they would do them again for FREE, so at least they made that offer. In general though my experience is they have been friendly and helpful.

2022-05-25Two of my 3 experiences with the store in Ann Arbor have been absolutely tragic. I purchased a zero turn riding mower and the sale went smoothly and I am very happy with my tractor and I was pleased to be shopping at a local business. Two days after my purchase, I saw the same tractor at another store just down the road at a cheaper price. I asked a salesman on the floor if they price match and was told they do. After showing pictures of the tractor and price tag from the competitor, the salesman got the store manager who complained to me for ten minutes about the big box stores and then gave me a card for store credit for half of the difference in price. The next spring (now), I call to arrange annual maintenance. They pick up the tractor as scheduled and tell me it will be done in two weeks. They have now had it for 8 weeks and I have been paying a contractor to mow my yard. This is my last time at this store..

2022-06-06Extremely disappointing how far downhill this business has fallen as far as customer service and etiquette. If they are busy they will just hang up phone lines on hold. I regret sending my mother there under the expectation she would be treated with the same respect as a middle aged male. They carry good products but Im not sure Im going to be supporting this business any more.

2022-06-02They are all over you to buy new equipment, but try get someone on the phone or even at the counter for parts are horrible. Me and another customer stood over 15 at the parts cou ter with neither of the 2 parts guys behind the counter on the computers saying anything to us. Then after getting hung up on and then sitting on hold for 18 min only got a VM. If I need parts I dont need to wait and hope someone calls me back.

2022-07-07We had really poor experiences with Weingartz service department this spring and will never use them again. We had them out to service our riding lawn mower, push mower and snow blower.Riding mower - did a good job straightening out the mowing deck and replacing the blade. However, the next morning there was oil leaking from the rider. We called Weingartz service and were told we had to PAY to have it brought to them for repairs. This was completely baffling as the leak started directly AFTER the mower was serviced. There was also a persistent gas smell that was so strong, it was entering our house from the garage. We monitored the fuel level over the next couple days and it slowly dropped. We had a small engine mechanic out to look at the rider recently--turns out the oil cap was never put back on correctly and one of the fuel lines had a cut in it. Both were consequences of Weingartz servicing the rider as the rider was stored in our garage prior to their visit with no smell.Snow blower - was told there were issues with it and it had to be taken in. After no contact for 3 weeks, we called the service department. The service person was flat out rude. Said they texted us (never received it) and that the carburetor had to be re-built. This was shocking to us since the snow blower ran fine. It was going to be >$350 to do so, and they couldnt guarantee it would work. I asked if they could give me odds on how confident they were in it working, he said nope. We declined service and scheduled to pick up the snow blower. When my husband arrived, the snow blower wasnt ready. Furthermore, he was given the snow blower with the cage removed and loose bolts in a plastic bag. He was shocked. He asked for everything to be put back on for transport and was told no, thats not how we do things. I cant fathom taking someones equipment for service and not returning it PUT TOGETHER.We previously bought our push mower from Weingartz, and we were happy with the service received. Im sorry to echo the sentiments of others - this business is not doing well by its customers any more. We will be sticking with a small engine mechanic moving forward.UPDATE - It has been 2 weeks since the Weingartz response below and the store has yet to reach out. So far it seems their response was a performative one, not one of actual action. Will update if they do, in fact, reach out.

2022-07-07They have the worst service. Every time I have issue or maintenance the keep the mower for weeks without assigning technician to fix the issue. I have never dealt with such service. I do not recommend to deal with them at all.

2022-08-16Our 2006 hustler fastrak finally ran outa steam. Been coming to weingartz A2 location since they opened. Jhon in the parts department has been so helpful over the yrs it made my choice easy for my next mower. Craig sold me on a new Exmark radius e 60. The problem was getting one in these crazy times we live in. Craig was able to get my machine ahead of schedule and man couldnt be happier with our new Exmark. Thanks weingartz, Joe Camill

2021-11-02Weingartz was 1 of 3 places saying they could get my mowers part. Other than an expensive, heavy piece of steering gear piercing the shipping box, parts were delivered in a reasonable time and now my old tractor drives like new again! Id happily order from Weingartz again.

2022-02-10They are riding on a reputation that has gone downhill! Too many problems to list them all! Just make sure if you buy from them that you get the manual & paperwork , and a salesperson who knows what they are talking about, or else you are SOL! Also make sure if you have any modifications done that they return every part they take off your item!! Will never ever use them again. So sorry we did. But live & learn!
