Comment: I could only feel sadness walking into the mall. Being able to remember stores that once occupied now empty spaces.We needed to go to JCPenny and I suggested to my wife to grab lunch at the food court. There were only about 6 food stalls open. All the others were boarded up.Happily we took a sample of the fried rice from the eager and smiling chef of the Thai stall and ended up ordering from them. So thankful for a delicious meal.

Comment: The kids that they are hiring at the target are very nasty, they need to be taught how to treat the customers. I bought a pizza and the kid was pressing the cash register with his middle finger giving me attitude I was kind and handed him the money and he slammed the change on my pizza, I had my hand there to collect the money why would he be so rude?

Comment: Made a stop at Macys on my way home already knew I needed new foundation so I went straight for the The makeup department and found the MAC counter where I was greeted and asked if I had any questions I asked to do a new color match since they had revamped their studio fix foundation line and with summer coming up I tend to get a little tan especially at this time of the year for summer. So shes watched 2 colors and the second one was a perfect match for what I was looking for which was (NC25) I wasnt even there for more than 15 minutes awesome service and a perfect color match for my studio fix foundation! Happy client 🤗

Comment: This mall seem like no one have been going to this mall since like in the 20s and johns is a fun place to go now johns place is shut down and no one is in there. When you walk inside this mall there is like nobody is there and only you are there. Half of the mall store are all close and shutdown. I think this mall should be shutdown if half of the store are close and there is no one coming to this mall!

Comment: This place is a fascinating melancholic and creepy liminal-space. Half the stores are closed or rundown. The ones that WERE open are hanging on but the dim lights are starting to fade.And there’s only one escalator working when I went.What’s captivated me however is the amount of novel stores and attractions here. There’s a vending machine selling Bootleg copies of Pokémon. There’s an abundance of (basically) gambling machines where you push a key through a hole. But you’ll never get one. An empty promise.John’s Incredible Pizza, a very popular arcade/restaurant was closed. I saw graffiti on one of the Photo Booth stalls.Overall, this place is dead but it’s cozy in a way.

Comment: Don’t bother or waste your time even coming to this wasteland. 80% of the store are gone… 10% have their door/pulldowns closed with lights on so you can’t go in. The Target wont even give you access from inside the mall, you have to go all the way around through Macy’s and out the front. Good God this is ridiculous and sad!! NO security… 2 workers walking around looking like they are trying to clean…. They are just waiting out leases so they can close and demolish.. The land is worth more than their reputation at this point. If it wasn’t for Target, JC Penney, Macey’s, there would be more crickets than people roaming this erie funhouse… Not worth it… Many other great malls still thriving in area.

Comment: We stopped by on our trip. I was expecting so much more. Especially for the area. Sadly I was very mistaken. After walking around and seeing literally no stores open. I decided to ask a worker what was going on. He said, next year they’re demolishing it, and building apartments… Such a travesty to see so many malls sell out to other sources. We need malls in our hometowns. If we didn’t have any, what do we have? Where do we shop? How do our kids make memories like we did? Very depressed about the things to come for our kids’ futures…..

Comment: Really nice mall. Its quite big and spacious, with a tall roof that gives a very nice feeling. Its cozy and designed well, like a triangle, so youre not walking forever. Good parking too with shade in some spots.However, it is much more empty nowadays and theres no public security. I got harassed by some teenagers while I was at the mall.

Comment: It used to be the place to go on the weekend; now its all but deserted. Only a handful of businesses remain, including Macys, JC Penney, Sky Zone, an urban market, GameStop, among maybe 3 or 4 mom and pop retailers. Also Target but now target has closed the gates that lead to the rest of the mall. Some options in the food court, and Luxe Buffet is still open. Its sad to see especially when groups of young teenagers use it as a type of park riding their electric bikes all over without any regard for the few people that still visit

Comment: If it werent for the lack of people, this mall is great. They really did a good job with giving it a new vibe and feel with the drone contests and entertainment for kids. Santa Claus is really a nice guy with a nice hearty Santa laugh, and the picture turned out really well! Enjoy this mall while you can, it is being torn down I think in 2025. Changing times means the decline of malls in general, but this mall is still awesome.

Comment: Genuinely not worth the visit. It’s turning into a gang infested homeless encampment. You are lucky if all of the lights and the AC are on inside. Walking through the mall feels extremely unsafe. Graffiti along the outside, people riding bikes and skating through the mall, lackluster security that does nothing about shoplifting or seedy people in the mall. So many stores are closing because the mall is failing to provide basic services for their tenants. I have heard horror stories about homeless inhabiting the hallways behind the stores in the mall. There is also some delusional lady on instagram pretending to represent the mall, pretending to be the manager of the mall etc. which adds to the unsafe feeling. Best to stay away from here and go shop at some local businesses and uplift the community.

Theres a picture of a birds-eye view of the mall with its parking lot full of vehicles located in the management office. Now, its desolate, now that I go there I see almost nobody in the mall and there are a lot of vacant stores. The mall is so desolate that it is oftentimes devoid of employees and guards.

Comment: The mall just went downhill after the pandemic. I remembered a few years ago coming in to have lunch at the food court, and now its a ghost town. A lot of shops closed down, bathroom outdated and smells. There are only two stalls available, but only one in-service with three urinals. No other bathroom is close by. The nearest one is on the other side of the building, quite a walk if you have to go so bad.Its really sad to see this mall in the condition as it is right now. I hope they do a complete renovation.

The stores that are currently there are great, however, the mall has declined in popularity over the years; and many stores come and go. I will still give the mall a 5-star rating in the hopes that more people will frequent the mall.Given this, its clear that the mall has some room for improvement. Which is the only place I buy my body jewelry or get my piercings. I love Claires but at a $100 per piercing, Piercing Pagoda wins. All levels of the mall are updated and inviting.It was filled with children enjoying the indoor playgrounds and the fun zones and the arcades.The major stores: Target, Macys and JC Pennys have incredible price mark downs. We bought items at all the stores and restaurants to support these local businesses.There’s a new tavern/ bar that just opened. It looks great and is run by Armando. Comment: Beautiful liminal space, you can feel the energy of a time long past. Post pandemmy you can tell this place was very popular at some point, but vaguely can not tell when. Teetering on a modern take of lawlessness, teenagers can be seen doing skateboard tricks on the carpeted areas of the mall. You might as yourself, “why is this carpeted?” And realize it falls into the big Overlook Hotel vibes this place has.I was thoroughly surprised there weren’t tumbleweeds rolling in between the empty store fronts. I believe that an ideal world, we could use this mall to shelter the unhoused population comfortably and effectively with services to help the various communities and kitchens to feed those in need.Be sure to check out the going out of businesses sales for 70% to 90% off merchandise, you’ll save more than shopping at an outlet, and it’s closer.

Comment: Very nice, spacious indoor mall with well over 100 shops, eateries, and some unique shops, including a fairly large food court.They have a JC Pennys and Macys as the main department stores, but they have some really cool places like the Escape VR, and Sky Zone, as well as places like Inca Expression. Comment: As someone who has been visiting this mall for 20 years Ive never in my life experienced what we did there today. The mall security at the moment has no respect or decency what so ever. Supposedly they were told by their supervisor to escort an old woman out of the mall (pretty sure it was due to her appearance, because she did appear to be homeless, but that does not matter whatsoever and she was a paying customer regardless). She was not doing anything to affect anyone around her. She was minding her own business and all she wanted was a mocha drink from dairy queen. I myself went to go get one for her and the security almost kicked her out before I was even able to give it to her. I asked security if she was breaking any laws and he said no but the mall is private property and he was told by his superior that they needed to remove her from the premises. Westminster Mall, do something about your security team because they have no heart and to put someone outside like that for no reason is one of the saddest examples of human interaction Ive ever experienced. Comment: Like many other enclosed malls, this mall is almost dead. Many stores that have been there for years have moved to greener pastures. With the closing a Sears its almost the last nail in the coffin. Still a couple stores worth going to and in the summer it does have excellent air conditioning, which is the only thing Id refer to as excellent about it.

Comment: Im still a little aggravated by the fact that places that sell shoes used to smell like leather and now smell like tires. But thats another story. Many of the shops are empty and at 11:00 am there were very few shoppers.. Maybe thats too early to judge. I wanted a pair of comfortable shoe that wouldnt turn my feet into a billboard for the manufacturer but no luck.

Comment: Will never be the same without Sears, but I was only there for TGI Fridays while the Outlets at Orange had a big chunk of the parking lot blocked off.I wish they had discount stores, rather than just the middle-class and trendy people shop at.

Comment: I went there with a friend. Lovely art, but not my style. Big entryway and friendly service. One thing I know is this....if you love it,buy it or put it on layaway. The artist is scheduled to appear on certain days to autograph your picture or painting. Love that!!

Comment: The mall is ok, its pretty outdated, but it had some stores that I would shop at. The layout of the parking structure is weird, I drove thru a one yard one way because there werent any signs and the paint on the floor was so faded that it was already too late to turn back. I guess its a good place to take the family, there are a few sit down restaurant chains around and a full buffet.

Comment: Would have been helpful & thoughtful to have NEW MOVED SANTA location mentioned at carousel - where attractions swapped ORIGINAL locations. You had one VERY DISAPPOINTED child & one SCARED parent that SANTA was not there any more... Glad that was not the case.

Comment: Ive been going to the Westminster Mall since the 70s. A lot has changed since then. It is still a nice place to shop. There are plenty of cool stores like Macys and Target. Not the best Mall in Orange County by any stretch of the imagination.

Comment: Another mall that is a shell of its former self. Foot traffic is very low, the parking lot is often very empty. I wonder how many of the stores stay in business. Maybe the mall should be torn down to build something else there. There is likely a better use for this large property with good freeway access at 405/Goldenwest.

Comment: Though this place seems like its getting less popular, it still has a place in my heart. I used to go here often with my family and first thing we would do is eat at Panda Express. The store that I visit the most is Book Off. Usually, I would relax at the food court area, which has a great view, while doing online work.

Comment: I used to come here as a kid in the 70s & 80s and it was glorious. Things are slower today, and Sears is gone. However, Target continues to get good traffic, and theres a pizza/arcade that does well on the weekends.

Comment: One of the biggest shopping mall in Orange county. This place has lots of store like J.C. Penney, Sears, Target, Macys. Parking area is huge. Crowd is average, thats why I like this place. This mall should increase their hour on Sunday, as most of the people visit this mall on Sunday. I visit this place on regular basis.

Comment: This mall has everything and you dont have to fight the parking. The prices are great. I dont understand why they are as empty as they are they have all the stores of the other busy Mouse have and they always have the product available. I love going to this place cuz I have 4 kids and I dont have to deal with all the craziness like the other malls

Comment: Although this mall appeared to be suffering an economic downturn, it seems to be re-inventing itself as a family-friendly hangout for kids of all ages. Its got all the fun anime, gaming, and comic type merchandise stores that our family loves including Small Wonders, Rolly Polly, Koko, Tokyo Lifestyle, Bon-Bon, Book-Off, and Gamestop. The mall also has a Skyzone, and Johns Incredible Pizza is coming soon too!The Westminster Mall has a descent food court, but if youd like better food without a higher price, heres a tip - you can get takeout from the Luxe Seafood Buffet and eat it at the food court. The kids in our family still prefer the food court (either the Chicken California from Charleys Steakery or a sandwich from Burger King), so everyone gets what they want.As far as shopping, Macys is about as high-end as it gets at this mall, which is fine with me. The convenience of Target makes Westminster Mall a no-brainer if you have to combine shopping for what you want with buying what you need.It should be noted that there are a few parking spaces designated for electric vehicles (see photo). Unfortunately, there is no parking structure at this mall, just an outdoor parking lot, so be sure to use your sunshade.

Comment: This mall is dying. Target is really the only store that I visit nowadays. Malls in general is dying, but this one seems to be on a slippery slope. They need to get some interesting establishments bright into to refresh. South Coast Plaza is doing a better job of this.

Comment: I was pleasantly surprised at the service I received while visiting. It does take a lot to keep a business like this afloat and while making customer service your top priority, some may see this as challenging. I would definitely return as they rank high marks with me on the appearance and maintenance side. Limited shops here and its usually very dead. Parking is not bad.

Comment: This mall does not have a lot of stores inside to make it worth your time to come stroll around and shop. This is more like a quick in and out to grab a few items and leave. It usually looks pretty empty inside, so if you like to avoid crowds then this is the place. The stores in here are on the cheap side as well. The only decent stores are the Macys and Target. I feel like you can always find parking here.

Comment: Its not the best mall if you need a lot of variety, but I like going here because its not crowded. Thus, the stores that I do frequent has everything I need in stock! I wish they should bring back the Disney Store though. The food court is mostly Asian-owned, not much variety there. The new buffet is good. Overall, this mall is quiet and I get all my shopping needs done here.

Comment: I dig this mall because its never overly packed with people. The lines in the stores arent to overwhelming and most of the employees are cool. Theres also a lot of shaded spots to park for the day and you can literally nap in your car without ever being hassled. Very cool.

Comment: This is a big mall. But unfortunately it have a bit of a vacancy feeling.There is a big new Target store that is nice. The SEARS store have a good selection too. There is plenty of parking spaces but it can be a bit confusing that there are ground level parking (no parking structure) on both the first and the second floor of the mall.

Comment: This mall is certainly not as fancy as South Coast Plaza, & doesnt have nearly as many stores, but its not bad for some kinds of shopping, so I guess it depends on what youre looking for. I find it fairly easy to park & get around, & the crowds arent nearly as bad as South Coast.

Comment: Ive been going to this mall for my whole life and it seems like its getting better. More stores, new carpet, and a really cool ceiling make it look really nice. The only thing I really complain about is the hours. They need to keep the mall open until at least 9 but 6? On weekends I wanna stay out longer especially at an indoor mall. Change the hours and Id be there longer and buy more stuff
