I absolutely despise this credit union!!! I have been a member at many credit unions in different states and this is by far the worst!! Rude staff to the maximum and there is ALWAYS a fee! There are suppose to help their community members but they never go above and beyond for their members!
There is a fee for absolutely everything that you do over the phone. $5 to check your balance. Another $5 to move money. Hate dealing with them!
Excellent services and very courteous, very supportive. Many occassions to share but as a sample:requested a notary public, but in addition they were able to provide extra copies and fax each to different recipients... this saved me all the bother of finding other resources to accomplish this important process.
Please for the love of god, no one bank here. I wouldnt recommend this bank to my worst enemy. They nickle and dime for everything. WCCU also has the most hidden fees and interest charges with the rudest Managers Ive ever spoken too.
I literally do not understand any of these problems some of these people are talking about. If you don’t have an account there you don’t have the right to complain if they won’t change in your money for you. It’s for members. I’ve been there for years and never had a single problem. Someone got my no#’s on my card and charged over $1000 on it and they refunded my money immediately. Even before doing the investigation on it. IDK what could be so problematic for some.
Im abroad and they keep kicking my card. This is the 3rd time I have to call them because of a suspicious transaction when ive informed them and updated my address already. Honestly planning to look at a different bank when I visit
Dont go here if you need to break a large bill to use the car wash next door. They cant do it unless you have an account there. Stupid. A bank that cant break a large bill because you dont have an account there. Thats a new one on me lol.
Likes to charge any type of fee they possibly can, ie: address not updated -$10.00 , inactivity fee - $20.00, and even if you have funds in account , they will not transfer money to cover overdraft, $15.00. Truly a garbage credit union
Ive always have a.pretty good experience when I pick up.my check evey week so what if I have wait a.littile bit at least there trying and doing best they can thank you guys and keep up good work..
They steal money, when a person is not a co signer on a loan but tell them that he is, then they sue the only person on that loan. how could a credit union steal some somes social security check?
Just got charged 10.00 for an address change, also went to them for a car loan. I had 8 thousand in savings the car loan was for just over 6 thousand they wouldnt do the Loan. They are useless. Team one credit union out of Saginaw approved me without a problem. Dont start an account with them!
They are not friendly, never can break big bills, could use a how to smile class. I will be changing my account because this credit union sucks big time!!
I am closing my accounts and moving onto chase. Way better customer care and not so quick to take your money for fees!! Dont go to this bank if you have any other choices.
Its a bank, the bar is set pretty low. But WCCU has been flawless in the 4 years banking with them!
I e-mailed Wexford Community Credit union to file a complaining about the POORLY TRAINED EMPLOYEES , FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS , I HAVE BEEN DEPOSITING CASH INTO MY ACCOUNT AND OCCASIONALLY A CHECK. WHEN I DEPOSIT MY CASH,I PRESENT MY WEXFORD COUNTY CREDIT UNION MEMBERSHIP CARD (WCCU CARD )AND ASK THEM TO DEPOSIT IT INTO MY ACCOUNT. FOR SOME REASON THAY WANT TO SEE MY DRIVERS LICENSE ALSO. TO PUT CASH INTO MY ACCOUNT ???. I PRESENTED MY WCCU MEMBERSHIP CARD WITH THE CASH TO BE DEPOSITED, SO WHERE DOES MY DRIVERS LICENSE COME INTO PLAY HERE? DO THAY THINK SOMEHOW I AM TRYING TO RIP THEM OFF ??? DO THAY THINK I GO AROUND RANDOMLY DEPOSITING CASH INTO PEOPLES ACCOUNTS??? SO I TOLD THE CASHIER TO PUT A FLAG ON MY ACCOUNT SO IF ANYONE WANTED TO DEPOSIT MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT THAY HAVE MY PERMISSION. OCASIONALY I WILL GET A CALL AT HOME TO VERIFY AMOUNTS DEPOSITED??? AND THEN I AS WELL AS OTHER MEMBERS STARTED RECIEVING MAIL FROM AN INSURANCE COMPANIE SOLICITING ME TROUGH THE WCCU , WELL SO MUCH FOR THE PRIVACY ASPECT WCCU PROMISED. I HAVE AN EMPLOYEE FOR WHOM I GET REIMBURSED FROM BY THE STATE OF MICHIGAN, SO ONCE A MONTH I GET A CHECK FROM THE STATE WITH BOTH OF OUR NAMES ON IT, SO WE BOTH SIGNED IT AND WENT TO LAKE CITY WCC SO SHE COULD CASH IT. ALTHOUGH WE WERE BOTH MEMBERS OF WCC THAY REFUSED TO CASH IT UNLESS I ALOUD THEM TO RUN IT THRUGH MY ACCOUNT??? I REFUSED AND EXPLAINED THAT MY EMPLOYEE WANTED TO CASH IT FROM HER ACCOUNT , AND THAY REFUSED. SO WE WENT TO CADILLAC WCC AND NO PROBLEM SHE WENT IN WITH THE CHECK , CASHED IT,NO PROBLEM. ON THE NEXT DAY LAKE CITY WCC CALLED MY EMPLOYEE AND LEFT A MESAGE, TO APOLOGIZE TO ME ???, SO I E-MAILED THE WCC TO VOICE MY COMPLAINT AND SUGGEST SOME RE-TRAINING AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE LAKE CITY WCC. RIGHT AFTER THE E-MAIL I GET A CALL,I EXPLAIN THE PROBLEMS THAY HAVE BEEN GIVING ME AND IMEDIATELY THIS GIRL STARTED MAKING EXCUSES AND EVENTUALY BEING A LITTLE SNOT!!! SO I CALLED CADILLAC WCC TO MAKE A COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS NASTY GIRL WHO CALLED ME. SO WHAT IT ALL COMES DOWN TO IS WE HAVE NO RECOURSE AT LAKE CITY WCC BECOUSE THE MANAGER IS ALSO THE VICE PRESIDENT. SO I FOUND MYSELF PEEING UP A ROPE WHEN IT COMES TO LAKE CITY WCC. I AM BACK WITH CHEMICAL BANK OF LAKE CITY, WHERE I DONT GET TREATED WITH IM SORY,S OR EXCUSES FROM INEPT MANAGEMENT. 2021-12-08First I want to mention that weve been a customer here for over 30 years. Next I want to mention, THE LOBBY IS CLOSED! This is not due to the pandemic as they claim, otherwise all the other banks in town would be closed. My guess is they dont have enough staff. Meanwhile, we get the unpleasant experience of trying to conduct business from our car using a tube after waiting in line for a half hour. This is not acceptable and Im considering switching where I do my banking.EDIT: this is to say that while it is nice that they offer a variety of options, which I already knew about except for the ability to make an appt. My last transaction involved cashing a check of a large amount with the lady at the microphone asking me what I was going to do with my money (!) and could they put a ten day hold on it. Had I been inside where I could have a decent conversation it might have gone a little differently and I wouldnt be waiting until Monday to pay for the vehicle Im buying at Dons.

2021-01-06Even on weekdays drive through times have always taken 30 minutes even with only 2 cars in front of you. Atm only lets your withdraw $500 and if you need more, you have to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to 45 minutes in line. People have used their whole lunch break to try and get through here. I loved it when we could go inside but unfortunately we cant. Maybe you guys shouldve thought of something better to do to get lines going. This is outrageous.

2020-08-01This credit union is so slow. You always wait 1/2 hour to 45 minutes to get to the window. Then when you do, you wait another 10 minutes just to withdraw money. The employees are rude. Do not recommend this place at all. Would be faster to drive to Lake City and go to that bank.

2019-12-24I have been with this credit union a very long time. Very upset with the decision to close earlier. Unfortunately I have a half hour lunch and waiting in line at the bank puts me back late to work most every time. Not to mention I had to answer my phone and put them on hold and although the teller didnt hear me speaking as I was not ...she seen my phone and promptly reprimanded me for being on my phone. Since there was no conversation you cant assume a person is talking. I was putting on hold so I could finish my transaction as it was an important call. Again I only have one half hour to take care of these things. Not being friendly is frustrating as the most of the 8:00 to 5:00 people now do not have a choice in the matter. Just hoping that you take in consideration these things as you have really affected a lot of people by changing your hours.

2020-10-26WCCU has been phenomenal to work with!! Great experience with a home mortgage, and great experience with the commercial department for my business needs. The tellers and customer service are always friendly and do a great job. I would completely recommend them for any banking needs!!

2017-12-04Recently I’ve been very disappointed in my credit union. The staff is friendly but their organization I think is poor. I have a business account and personal accounts at the credit union. I paid on my visa out of my personal account to another institution. They froze all my account because they said I had not turned in my DBA for my business. I had to take the proof in that I had already bring that to them but by now my payments that I made for my visa did not go through I try to keep my credit score good but this credit union just made it look like I didn’t pay my Visa bill. now it looks like I owe a high amount. Trying to build up my credit it’s been hard with businesses like this messing my credit score up very disappointed. I turn this paperwork back in in June. Too bad it didn’t get in the system so I was not having these problems all the way in December. Their staff is a high turnover rate. I expected them to apologize for the inconvenience they had caused me. Nope just I’m glad you took care of this now your bank accounts are not frozen. She reassured me that it would get my file right away this time.

2019-01-16Not sure how but accidentally had an online order pull from my savings account instead of my checking which resulted in a NSF fee of $28. I checked my payment for the online order and it stated checking account so not sure how it pulled from my savings. They returned the payment twice. So then they transferred money from my checking to savings to cover the two NSF fees. I dont understand I had money in my checking why they couldnt transfer money to cover the payment but can transfer money to take for themselves. Almost $60 taken from me when the money was there just in the wrong place. And they wont work with you on the fees either. They are a joke. Very unpleased!

2020-05-29This place is so slow. There were 3 cars infront of us and we were in like for 45 mins. When finally got to the window everyone was standing around talking. I think it would’ve been quicker to drive to Lake city and use their branch.

2020-05-29Went today at waited inline for 45 min before getting to window. When got to window 5 staff were standing talking. Took 10 minutes to get my transaction done. Withdrawing money.
