My flowers were placed in someone elses room. I fell at the cemetery because boards were not placed correctly on the ground. Maybe the funeral home needs to hire more staff because the atmosphere seemed chaotic.

I’ve been to Wujek-Calcaterra many times over the years for viewings. The experiences had always been as pleasant as possible considering someone had passed away.My Mom lost her battle with COVID two weeks ago. When deciding which funeral home to have her laid out at, it was a no-brainer.From the initial call to the Funeral Director, Lisa, it was obvious we made the right choice. Lisa is extremely compassionate, friendly and will do whatever it takes to make the day easier to navigate.The funeral home closes at 9:00 p.m., but there were a few of us that stayed until about 9:40. The staff never interrupted us and we were grateful for the extra time. The team staying an extra 40 minutes on a Friday night was certainly appreciated.Between Lisa being an incredibly awesome Director, the staff doing whatever we needed throughout the day, having the flowers and cards well organized for pick-up the following day, I’d recommend reaching out to Lisa and the team at Wujek-Calcaterra if/when you’re ever unfortunate to lose a loved one. A very difficult day was made much easier by being there.Five-star service!!

Lisa and their Staff did a wonderful job. Courteous, professional, and very helpful. My Dad passed away in Connecticut. Lisa and her team coordinated for my Dad to be sent here to Michigan where he can have a proper funeral services. Dad looked so peaceful as if he was napping.No signs of Dad being sick at all. Double Thumbs-Up if you are considering to use them.

I highly recommend Wujek Calcaterra. They have performed 3 funerals for my family and my wifes family over the last three years. They are kind and friendly and took care every last detail for our parents funerals. The entire staff works together and are very courteous and professional. The Shelby Township location is beautiful and comfortable. Our viewings have been exceptional.

Due to my mothers passing, my family chose Wujek Calcaterra and Sons to handle the funeral arrangements. I was extremely impressed with their professionalism, empathy and arrangements, especially in these difficult Covid times. Michael Zuzga was especially helpful. I have used Wujek Calcaterra (both locations) for 5 funerals over past 7 years but have also been there for many other funerals over the years. For those who have lost a loved one, planning a funeral can be a little overwhelming as there is so much that needs to happen in such a short period of time. The funeral directors at Wujek (especially Mike Zuzga) are truly amazing. They walk you thru the entire process clearly and at your own pace. They pretty much handle every detail of the event including contacting churches, ordering flowers, scheduling luncheons and much, much more. Being that it is a family run business, they are not just in it to make money but are there to help families get thru the difficult times with sincerity and compassion. I highly recommend their services as you and your family will be in good hands if you lose a loved one!

Our experience at Wujek Calcaterra was first class as my father would say. My father passed away January 16, 2017 and from start to finish the entire staff was wonderful. My Dad looked amazing, and everything we asked for was done to absolute perfection. We cant thank them enough for their attention to detail, their patience and compassion and outstanding care of my father from the time they picked him up from our house to the time he arrived at Resurrection Cemetery. Ive had the pleasure of knowing the Wujek Family for over 40yrs yrs now, in a professional manner. Their previous location in Detroit was one of the few funeral homes to take the time to learn the Eastern Orthodox(Balkan area) traditions of burial and prepping the deceased so when my Mother over 14yrs ago died there was no other place I would take her too. Robert Wujek and his whole office are kind, efficient, & trustful sadly we also lost my Father too 7yrs now yet again all we had to do is call Wujek and it was all done. Thank you Wujek for everything.

Nobody ever wants to come to a place like this, but they do a very good job. Staff are caring and considerate of the situation, and do everything they can to make this an easier process.

Omg. My sister passed away suddenly. They didn’t want to list her parents on obituary because they were deceased. They made her look 10 years older. Nothing like the picture. She never left the house unless makeup was perfect. Huge funeral and every single person said she looked terrible and didn’t look like her. One person said she looked good and that was an in-law . 🧐. I complained and the second day they put on mascara. I feel I didn’t have her back.. I can’t forget how she looked. I hope they lost business since it was an Italian funeral. 💔💔
