Our little rescue dog Rosey meant the world to us, she was our child! She was picked up from the vet on 1/20. Around that time I was contacted by Destiny (if I am remembering her name correctly) from the front desk. She was kind and helped set up the arrangements for a private cremation. I asked that I be contacted prior to when they would preform her cremation for peace of mind. While they normally offer witnessed cremations, they were unable to due to COVID-19. The person in the office said it was not something they normally do but that they would put a note in the file and try to be accommodating. I would check in periodically to see how things were progressing and nothing had changed. Then on 2/1 I called and they informed me that she was in the packaging process. When I asked what this meant the receptionist told me that she was settling into her urn. I inquired as to why I was not informed before they cremated her and she said that because she was done on the prior Saturday no one could have called me because the office was closed and the crematory technicians where the only ones working on that day. She also had the audacity to say that they had never promised anything like what I was asking was a major inconvenience ☹. A simple fix to this solution would have been doing her cremation the day before on that Friday or some other weekday during the 2 WEEKS that she sat in their facility. Not only was I heartbroken, the fact that no one could take one minute of their time to call me, as was noted in her file for OVER 2 weeks, was unbelievable. Additionally, the thought of my baby sitting in a freezer for 2 weeks before they took the time to get to her weighed heavily on my family and is simply UNEXCEPTABLE.?I understand that they are busy (at one point the lady at the front desk told me they do 400-500 pets per week, which was unsettling enough) but I as I expressed to the employee on the phone, working in this business requires compassion and the ability to empathize with others. At one point they assured me that they are all pet parents there so they treat each pet as if they were their own. I acknowledge that I was requesting something they dont normally do, however, I was not asking a lot.If they truly did care about their clients, they would have taken the time to make one simple phone call. Anyone that works there, whether they are office staff or a technician, should have the ability to pick up the phone. It was the last thing I asked for and after paying hundreds of dollars for their services, I am so utterly disheartened with the blatant lack of compassion I was shown during such a difficult time for me and my family. We went with this company because the vet hospital was contracted with them but we will not be doing that again. The man who helped us when we picked up her remains was very kind, I just wish my final wishes for my pet were respected and honored!

A great experience with all the staff from Peters funeral home in Wasco. Unfortunately I had a family member pass away and was very new to what needed to come next and how to deal with a love one passing away. The staff at Peters guided us through the process and made everything so easy and simple to understand. A year or so later unfortunately another family member passed away and yet again the staff at Peters funeral home Wasco made things easy and very comforting. Losing a love one is never easy and there is a lot to deal with, but having a staff like those at Peters Funeral home in Wasco, helping you along the way, makes things much easier. The staff at Coastal Funeral Center were very helpful when I had to plan my mom’s funeral service. I sat down with Mike who coordinated with the church for the funeral mass and burial service at the cemetery. There was no high pressure sales tactics. Mike explained the services they provide and the pricing. The day of the funeral, they showed up on time at the church and were helpful in coordinating the service at the church and cemetery. I highly recommend Coastal Funeral Center.

FRIENDS Funeral Home - Cremation and Burials Lo...

After researching various funeral homes I came across Friends Funeral Home. At first, when I read all the reviews I was skeptic and thought it was to good to be true because everyone seemed to talk wonders regarding their services. Once I conducted my own investigation I decided to use their services for my mother in laws viewing and ship out to Mexico. The entire family and friends were very impressed with Ziris, Adrianas and staffs professionalism. They were very compassionate and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. I sincerely recommend Friend Funeral Services.************************************************** ************************After visiting several funeral homes I came across Friends Funeral Home. At first when I read all the good comments I thought it was too good to be true. I did my own research and decided to co-hire them for my mother-in-laws wake and transfer to Mexico. They are very compassionate and do everything in their power to provide excellent service. I sincerely recommend Friends Funeral Home.

... my mom. The staff was great Valerie, and Mike were very helpful at first. So we were using my mom’s life insurance to pay for the services and this is when the issues started. Now I have no experience on how this process worked and relied on the experts of the funeral home. We chose cremation service and was under the impression we would use the money from the insurance for the service. The 1st red flag-- was when I mentioned this to them and they added an extra $150 charge because they said they were going to take longer to get paid. I was ok with that. The day of the funeral service I paid cash for the $895 to use the chapel, and Michael was a great host. The 2nd red flag-- was as I was outside with my family taking pictures, the Owner/Director (Zoe) sent her staff down to demand payment for the cremation service, which had not happened yet due to waiting for the insurance check, and if I didn’t get on the insurance company, she was going to charge me $695 every 2 days to store my mom there. (Are you serious during the funeral service) you call me in for money? The next day I get on the phone with the insurance company, and do what the funeral home is supposed to be experts at doing, and get on with the insurance agent. 3rd red flag-- Once on the call the agent said the funeral home is supposed to send in an invoice form with the charges and fees. They argued back and forth and finally the insurance company said to call other funeral homes around and they can share the form. They found the form and create the form, but Zoe tacks on a $695 fee, and finally gets the letter typed out. The insurance company says they would send them the check in a few days, and Zoe would not cremate my mom even though she had the guarantee letter confirming they sent the check out. I had to leave back to GA, without with my mother as she was still in the funeral home. They finally received the check and still took a few days to cremate her and my dad had to go pick her up.This Zoe ...

After being hustled by 2-3 other funeral homes we found Cecil Martin, a true caring individual. He was compassionate and professional. He accommodated our needs. Due to COVID-19 we had the funeral service in our home with 40 family members. The Martins set things up and we felt like they were part of the family. In our anguish we felt a sense of peace. Thank you Cecil Martin.

Saint Mary’s and their funeral home services recently handled my Grandfathers funeral services. There were multiple occasions that they didn’t practice competency and professionalism during the services. The people they sent were rude to the guests and disrespectful to me and my family. They broke the lid off of my grandfathers casket in front of my grandmother and little cousins. Then proceeded to say its broken after we heard the wood breaking when he forced it open the wrong way. They decided not to work with us in trying to respect our and the decreased wishes for the funeral. Thankfully there was a person who stepped in and told them no. The cherry on top was when an inappropriate joke was made by one of the employees to myself, little cousins, and sisters after we loaded the casket onto the hearse. This was so hurtful for my family and I. For a Catholic funeral home, I was appalled by the lack of fellowship and respect towards someone who walked the path of Christ for the entirety of his life. I would not recommend this home if you are trying to send your loved one off with dignity and respect.
