Lovells Records
6719 Greenleaf Ave, Whittier, CA 90601, United States
Best place to get anything involving music on Vinyl Cd or even tape records, and the selection of movies plus Blu-ray and 4k is phenomenal! The prices are so low and the quality is always top notch because the employees at this spot have a good eye for detail, and know a thing or two about a thing or two. If your ever wanting to make a few dollars bring your grandparents old vinyls or if you happen to have old movies in good condition this place is the best for buying back movies. Absolutely love this place and recommend it too everybody. Plus the artwork and vibe is off the hook with a different classic type song always playing through the smoothest tune on the oldschool record player! Come support Whittier CAs Lovell:s record shop and take a night out on the beautiful streets on the Greenleaf strip in Uptown Whittier.

Redlands Vinyl Records and Collectibles
214 E Redlands Blvd, Redlands, CA 92373, United States
I have been wanting to check out this store for sometime but due to the inconvenient hours it was pretty difficult for me to go in. Because I work full time Monday through Friday, booked on Saturdays to DJ, and trying to rest Sundays I didnt have a chance until today. I walked in and the store was completely empty... I asked the guy at the counter casually where the hip hop/ rap vinyl section was. He never onced looked at me and provided a lackluster answer. After finding for myself where the section was I was equally was unimpressed with the organization of records. The labels with alphabet order are old and broken with occasional letters that look like they were written by a 4 year old with a permanent marker. The price of records was confusing as some had old 99 cent price stickers and others did not... The records that did have a price were inflated compared to other record stores. Overall I am still wondering how they are in business with the location of downtown Redlands. I would recommend going to the vinyl store in Riverside off of University Ave.

Gr Records & Coffee
278 N Palm Canyon Dr Unit C, Palm Springs, CA 92262, United States
If you are a record lover, this is a great place to wile away an hour with a coffee. It is one of three record stores that i visited in Palm Springs, but I would say the best. The records are reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the 80s section was a bit depleted as Record Store Day was only a few days away. Therefore, I walked away empty-handed.

Record Surplus
12436 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90025, United States
Excellent independent record store est. 1985Undoubtedly, many of your favorite musicians have visited this place. In particular, Records Surplus is a must visit location for any hardcore weezer fan.???=w=Rivers Cuomo: For “In the Garage,” I definitely had the Beach Boys and “In My Room” in mind. At one point while I was writing, I wanted some new inspiration, so I went to Record Surplus on Santa Monica and went through all these classic LPs. I narrowed it down to “Led Zeppelin II” and the Beach Boys’ “Pet Sounds,” but I only had enough money for one. It was basically a coin toss, and I walked out with “Pet Sounds.” Then I went on a deep dive and got all their other albums. It’s funny that Weezer could’ve gone in a totally different direction.— Los Angeles TimesMikael WoodMarch 25th 2024

Taang Records
3834 Fifth Ave, San Diego, CA 92103, United States
Kind of a shame, really, as I know these guys have history in San Diego. Well, maybe previous owners, I guess. Now its just an absolute exercise in absurdity when it comes to overpricing. Somehow Taang! exists in a world where there is no Internet, no Discogs, and a shocking shortage of vinyl records that leads them to hilariously over-ask for records that are often widely and easily available.I thought maybe the last time I was here was maybe an off day, but nope. $40 for $15 records. $50 for a record I saw for $11 the other day. Its literally provocative how embarrassing the pricing is here. I mean, you think you might be able to get a single deal in this place, but nope. Just beyond comedy price tags that really nail down the fact that this is now, by a mile, the worst record shop in San Diego.I guess thats punk rock, in a way. But not a good way.

Streetlight Records
980 S Bascom Ave, San Jose, CA 95128, United States
Fantastic selection, especially in electronic and metal CDs. They keep it stocked with recent releases. Streetlight is one of my favorite record shops ever. Also, keep an eye out for their downtown Santa Cruz location—great shop there as well, but I prefer the San Jose location, since it has a better (more prominent/quality artists/CDs) collection last I checked. If you’re looking for a good record store in San Jose, this would be my top pick!
